Classes Begin
Early September was the start of the new school year, and for us, it has also been the beginning of another season that we intend to focus on what God wants to do with the lives of our students. We currently have 20 Timothys enrolled and 7 of them are new students. From last years group, Jess and Gregory left to attend high school in another school because the Department of Education only allows us to educate until the eighth grade. In the Dominican Republic, high school begins in the ninth grade. With our support, these two students were given scholarships in a private school in order to continue their studies until it is time to send them to the university. Jess and Gregory have high academic achievements and both have been exemplary in all respects

Land Purchased
Our church, Fraternidad Cristiana Amor a Quisqueya, recently just bought a plot of land measuring approximately 800 meters behind the back of our facility. This land will serve for multiple uses including: a parking lot and a basketball court for the Timothy School and the Shoe Shiners Club. This was great news for us, because for some time now we have needed to expand the facilities of the Timothy School in order to be able to prepare a sports area for the boys. Now, we are preparing for the cleaning and conditioning phase of the land. This is a new challenge that we are facing with happiness because the acquisition of this land is an answered prayer. Our local church is our highest contributor to all of our needs, which is why they will assume the long-term payment of the land. The Timothy School will be the greatest beneficiary of this blessing, so we want to contribute to the payment of this land as well. The total value of the land is $50,000 dollars. Please let us know if you are willing to help us by writing us at the email address: colegiotimoteo@gmail.com.

New Professors
Two retired teachers in the areas of Spanish and Mathematics have joined our team. Viena and Fausto Mad are a Dominican married couple who have recently arrived from the United States after completing their successful careers in education. You can imagine the blessing that they are to the school because they are donating their morning from Monday to Friday in order to work with our students. They have blessed us, not only by their teaching abilities, but also by being quality people and they have fallen in love with our Timothys. God definitely loves these boys very much. Also, this brother and sister in Christ have been participating in the Shoe Shiners Club that meets every Saturday in our facility and they are spending time with the boys from the street.

Visitors from Puerto Rico

Recently we had the blessing of receiving to our facility, Mrs. Wanda Bonet, who is the director at the Catacumba 5 Christian Academy in Mayagez, Puerto Rico (ACE School). She came to visit the Timothys with her husband, Efrain Soto (co-pastor at the Catacumba 5), and they spent some time interacting with them. Here, we show some photos of them. This church and their team of pastors have been one of our most constant collaborators since the beginning of the Timothy School in 2006 and always have been following us closely. It is important to point out that the children at Catacumba 5 Academy sent us an annual offering that they have been saving up for throughout the school year. We give thanks to God for them always.

We have the joy of announcing the arrival of Mrs. Elvia de Jess to our staff. She will play the role of Monitor in the Learning Center. Elvia is a woman of God, wise and with an excellent testimony. We know that she will be a huge blessing for the boys and a great example as well.
