Pet friendly cafe-Pasticerria Gelateria Fabris- Via XX Settembre 4, Roveredo in Piano-Located in the heart of Roveredo, this bar/gelateria has outdoor seating and is popular with many American and Italian pet owners. Most of the baristas speak at least a little English and in the summer months, they'll often ask if you want them to bring out a dish of cold water for your thirsty pet! General info-It's a good idea to carry around a muzzle if you have a large dog whose breed has a bad reputation, as local police can ask you to muzzle your dog if someone feels uncomfortable with it and if you can't produce a muzzle, you may get a fine! Transportation-Italian law requires that pets be confined in vehicles, either in a kennel, by a seat belt harness (works for medium and large dogs) or by a plastic or metal divider that separates the driver from the backseat or storage area where the pet is.
Garbage and Recycling Got trash? Ask your landlord for your yellow dry waste container if one is not provided. You are only allowed one per residence and it has a bar code on the bottom to identify it as yours. Put non-recyclable dry waste in closed bags inside the yellow container, and place the container at the curb to be collected early Friday morning. How about recycling? Separate paper, plastic, and glass recyclables and bring them to the large public street containers at any time. Place wet waste (food) in biodegradable or paper bags, and bring it to the street container marked umido. Collect garden waste in any closed bag and place it at the curb to be picked up every Monday (April to October) or every other Monday (November to March). Bring large recyclable items to the Ecological Platform at Via Del Mas on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 0900-1200 or Thursdays and Saturdays from 1330-1630. This platform is only available to Roveredo residents via a pass that you must obtain in advance from Ms. Giovanna Coppola. Her office is on-base and she is the POC for any garbage or recycling questions you may have. Please contact her at 0434-30-2511 or Giovanna.coppola@aviano.af.mil.
