proudly wore my last one. The dense jungle adds a new dish to my daily menu. Acai is the name of the thick purple fruit juice made out of palm tree berries. As always people make my day. And unexpectedly many of them live along the unpaved highway. With the girls I stand no chance. Most of them are married and have
children while being teenagers themselves. They dont know any better. I realize I am rich. Not directly in terms of monetary wealth, but mostly in the education I enjoyed back home in the Netherlands. It made me independent and fearless. It gave me the opportunity to enjoy and learn before settling down. Anyway, I am

hypocritical demands. They want us to preserve the Lungs of the Earth for the worlds future generations. But where does that leave us? And who are the United States to tells us what to do when they have already cultivated most of their land? I realizes he has a point there. Back in the jungle, rare parrots fly in pairs. I dont fear the jaguars everyone is warning me for. They fear me. Well that is at least my guess since I do not see any. The last bell rings and my eyes fill with tears when I hand out the last punch. Another 250 miles of dust lie ahead of me. My leg muscles are ready for the decisive Knock Out. Even though I am about to win the final round, I feel sad. 1,500 miles of gravel made me tired. I have been giving it the fullest day after day. And while I have hardly time to enjoy, I realize that back home my best friends are raising their first kids. I am not part of it. Though, I think ahead and raise my head. At the end of the TransAmazonica lies the Hualla Hualla pass. Not just an exotic or a 12,000 foot pass, no, it is the start of a new episode with amazing views and cold nights in the Andes mountains.

RBC I Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. In 1988 after the murder of a DEA agent, parents, youth and teachers in communities across the country began wearing red ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the destruction caused by drugs. This year, families can get involved by entering a contest to promote awareness in their neighborhoods and win a drug prevention grant for their schools. Families can enter Red Ribbon Weeks contest to win a $1,000 grant for their school and a new iPad for their home.To participate in the contest families and students will decorate the front of their homes with this years message: The Best Me Is Drug Free. Heres how students and their families can enter to win $1,000 for their K-12 school and a new iPad: I Students bring the Red Ribbon Week message home by working alongside parents to decorate their front door, mailbox, fence, etc. with this years theme The Best Me Is Drug Free.
I Take a photo with the family and their Red Ribbon Week decoration, then upload to www.redribbon.org/contest or www.facebook.com/RedRibbonW eek by Nov. 2 (must be parents or 18+ to upload photos). I Ask family and friends to vote for your entry at www.redribbon.org/vote Nov. 2-16. Ten lucky winners from regions across the U.S. will win. Winners will be announced at events at their winning schools in December. The DEA is co-sponsoring this years national contest. DEA is excited to partner with the National Family Partnership on this contest that empowers communities to come together to talk about the drug problem, said DEA Administrator Michele M. Leonhart. Red Ribbon Weekis also when we honor DEA Special Agent Enrique Kiki Camarena, who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities safe. Adds the NFPs Peggy Sapp: Take the Red Ribbon Week pledge across America to help children grow up safe, healthy and drug free. Visit www.redribbon.org/contest for contest information.
