Welcome to the MBA Programme at the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB). The SDSB MBA is the flagship programme of LUMS and is a highly competitive, intense, challenging and demanding experience that brings out the best in you. Our MBA Programme offers broad based management education. The rigorous economic and management research conducted by our faculty ensures that the SDSB MBA stays one of the most relevant degrees of the region. At the SDSB MBA, we teach leadership not just by theories but also by practice. We develop your analytical and quantitative skills through the Case Method of Teaching. We provide you challenging opportunities to apply these skills and develop new ones in team-based multidisciplinary projects. During MBA at SDSB you will work with your peers and faculty in real time, for real stakes, for real companies around the world. You will do it as part of our core curriculum, and you can choose to do even more through a rich array of electives and focused learning opportunities. The various events organised by special MBA executive clubs take the classroom experience to a real world setting and provide immense networking and learning opportunities with the industry and academia. Our MBA classrooms have student representation from various countries of South Asia. Student exchange programmes across the globe add to the international exposure of our graduates. We have a strong alumni presence throughout the region. More than 50% of our alumni body is placed internationally which speaks of the achievements of our graduates. Our student body has access to these highly engaged alumni networks, seeking their advice and guidance. We provide our graduates with tremendous career and professional development opportunities. Through the MBA Placement Office we assist our students to achieve their career aspirations. At SDSB we foster open-mindedness, agility, and teamwork in our graduates. After going through the SDSB experience you will possess the resilience required to deal with uncertainty, insight to ask the right questions, identify the real challenges, and solve the important problems. I hope that after going through the following pages and paying us a visit, you will be able to assess if the SDSB MBA is the best fit for you. All the best!

Connect to grow
The MBA Programme at SDSB is an extremely demanding, rigorous and high pressure experience. The intense course work is invigorated by school-wide club events, student organisations, guest speakers, seminars, sports, conferences, and more. Our campus is designed to encourage community collaboration for a richer learning experience. Student life during the two years of MBA revolves around mutual support and respect for peers, thus developing close-knit friendships that last a lifetime. On graduation, you earn a place within a community of nearly 1800 alumni spread all over the world.
LUMS engendered me with the ability to take risks, the patience to listen to other points of view and the courage to standby what I believe in.

My LUMS MBA experience was really awesome. I have done two MBAs (one from LUMS and one from Canada) and followed up with several leadership courses at the University of Toronto, Harvard and UBC. The LUMS experience is as good if not better than the Harvard Business School experience (which I attended this year and reminded me of our intense MBA programmme 15 years back).

I had heard that LUMS students are very competitive but what surprised me the most was how supportive they were. Everybody always wanted to try new things and learn from each other. My two years at LUMS were very memorable. My classmates came from all around Pakistan from different fields and with varying experiences, and this contributed to the class discussions, which were the most interesting and enjoyable part of academics. They built up my ability to negotiate and present a specific point. Overall it was an amazing experience that built business knowledge, helped shape positive behaviour to be ready for practical pressures of life and most importantly provided a forum to become part of a great community.

The LUMS MBA is one of the best investments I have made in my career. Its a well structured, intensive and rigorous programme. The course content and case studies are thought provoking, relevant and practical. The learning environment is fantastic with first class professors and students with a rich diversity of experience and backgrounds. This leads to a highly stimulating, intellectual and compelling social experience. Most of us came out of LUMS with some lasting friendships and bonds forged over days and nights spent working together. LUMS also provides access to top-tier recruiters and business leaders and equips you with the necessary intellectual and practical tools to lead a very successful career.
