ANNUAL REPORT
It is with great pleasure that I present to you but a brief summary of the school year gone by. The idea behind any educational institution is to provide for its students the maximum exposure and opportunity in all fields - academic, sport, extra-curricular, civic, moral, cultural and social. And that is what we here at People's Public School set out to achieve at the start of every academic year. I stand before you to update you of our achievements in said goal, and to include you in the celebration of another busy and successful academic year. I can hardly over state the pride with which I welcome you in our midst. People's Group strives to provide the best possible infrastructure and facilities for a holistic environment conducive to learning. Of the seventeen institutions on our extensive campus, People's Public School stands in its own spacious grounds. Separated from the other institutions of higher learning, the school boasts of a homey hostel facility, a fairly large sports stadium, aside from two separate wings for the junior and senior sections. And with a huge indoor sports stadium underway as we speak, the school adds yet another feather to its cap. It has been a mere 4 years since the inception of this school. And from the very start, the idea has been to impart quality education as well as nurture the individual potential of each student that passes through our gates. Every year, as this year, we have grown from strength to strength. Achieving newer goals, conquering mountains both old and new, the PPS family stands tall in the glory of the many accolades it has won both at home and outside. In the last year, we have grown not only in number but also in achievements. The students have left their mark in everything that they have attempted. More importantly, they have participated in events from myriad fields. In the C.B.S.E. class X Examination 2007-08, our schools result was most noteworthy. The academic year was peppered with creative events and competitions of all sorts - painting, craft, extempore speeches in both English and Hindi, crown making and Calligraphy - to name a few.

And because learning is not limited to the confines of a classroom, we also took the students on an overnight camping trip at Baaz- Kaliasot Dam on the outskirts of Bhopal. The school also organized a Bird Watching camp where children were taken to Van Vihar to observe the nature and habitat of Migratory Birds. On the sports front too our students did admirably, having participated in various events of the CBSE cluster - like football, volleyball and basketball. Aside from these, our students also participated in sports at the District, State and National Levels. One of our students has been selected as part of the M.P. Rifle Shooting Team and will be going for the National Championship. 7 of our students also participated in the 9th National Rope Skipping Championship which was held in Jharkhand. All seven won a place in the order of merit. While one of them even created a new national record. Aside from all of the aforementioned activities, various workshops and seminars (including Counselling workshops) were also conducted throughout the school year. The school is also considering incorporating the National Cadet Corps into the school curriculum. Like I said earlier, PPS is well on its way of going from strength to strength. And we hope to make the journey an eventful one. We hope all of you will put your hands together to support these children in all that they undertake. Thank you and have a nice evening.

Good Evening ladies and gentlemen. I hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you. Id like to take this opportunity to thank our esteemed Chief Guest, Miss Anuradha Shankar, D.I.G. Bhopal Range for making the time to grace the occasion and encourage the students.

I would like to thank the management for their unconditional support and guidance, the dignitaries of People's Group for their esteemed presence and all the distinguished guests for gracing the occasion. I am thankful to all the parents for their presence and support not only today but the whole year through.

In this list of gratitude, next in line is definitely the teaching staff without whose untiring effort it would have been impossible to put together such a grand event.

I would also like to thank the helping staff for their assistance. This is definitely an evening by the students, of the students and for everyone present on this momentous occasion. So last, but not the least, I want to thank the students for their enthusiasm and effort. And I congratulate them on a show well presented.

Finally, I would like to thank every hand that helped in crafting this production and congratulate everyone whose effort bore fruit in the form of this programme.
