Preface

This book will transform your life for good, making you a greatly successful person, possibly beyond your wildest dreams and imaginations! People are justified or condemned by their thoughts! People rise or fall by the way they think! People win or lose because of what and how they think! People conquer or get conquered in life because of the way they think! People prosper or stagnate in life, in business, in ministry because of the way they think! People have achieved much or little due to the way they think! We can never live above the quality of our innermost thoughts! Every battle is first and foremost won or lost in the mind. Secular humanists, psychologists, mind-handlers, and other purveyors of positive thinking, the law of attraction etc have tried to scratch on the surface of what the Bible otherwise puts so well and clearly: For as he thinks in his heart, so is he Prov.23:7 (KJV)! Your thoughts have the potential to fill you with good things in much the same way the work of your hands can reward you! Find out the secret behind our thoughts. Before you can change your circumstances you need to change your thoughts. To change the way you are living you must first change the way you are thinking. Chapter 1: 2

Ask For It!


The Most Stunning Revelation! The Bible makes one of the most stunning revelations you will ever find in scriptures. It is found in the Book of Ephesians, and it says that in Jesus, we've been promoted to the highest level of life, for God has "raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms " (Eph. 2:6). God has not only raised us high, He has also "blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing" that's in Christ (Eph. 1:3) The Bible goes on to say that Gods divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him (Jesus) who called us by his own glory and goodness (2 Pet. 1:3). This, in simple terms, means that through Christ Jesus, and for those who know and have received Him as their Lord and Saviour, God has given us everything we need to live a victorious, complete and excellent life in spirit, soul and body! God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ! In other words, every good thing you can think of be it righteousness, holiness, wisdom, power, peace, joy, health, money, riches of every kind which is in Christ Jesus, those who have received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, they have received these things along with Him. Praise the Lord. You cant be more blessed. But how come then, one might ask, not many people look so blessed? Why are many Christians actually living defeated, rather than victorious lives? Answer: these blessings are not in physical or tangible form. They are in spiritual form, hidden within the Holy Spirit of God who is given to every person who repents and receives Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Thats why they are called spiritual blessings. They are in spirit form and need to be converted into physical, tangible form, but many believers have not been able to do this. We are richly blessed in spirit, but apparently poor in the physical. When you ask God for money, a car, or any other thing that is good for you, God immediately gives it to you in a spiritual form. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mk. 11:24). Believe that you have received it, at that very moment. Yet often we dont see or feel those things immediately, why? Because they are given to us in a spiritual, rather than physical form. One of the most common challenges facing many Christians is to convert Gods blessings from the spiritual form into which they are given to them, into a physical form in which often such blessings are most useful to us. One of the most common failures facing Christians is how to receive practical or tangible answers to their prayers. If you are one of such believers facing this challenge, the answer to your challenge lies in this book specifically written for you! Read it most carefully and put into practice everything in it, and I can assure you, in Jesus name, from now onwards, you shall get hold of the blessings that had eluded you for a long time. The prayers for which you had not got an answer, you will get the answers. First and foremost, the Bible says You do not have, because you do not ask God (James 4:2). Many Christians do not receive blessings, simply because they dont ask for them in prayer, or if they do, they ask badly. Those who dont pray to God say, Why pray, when God already knows what I want? Well, let me also ask: Why write a cheque to request for money that's already yours on

your bank account? The Bank, after all, already knows that the money belongs to you; they can easily see your picture on your account in the computer! You, however, have to write out a cheque, before you can get the money. So it is in the spiritual. In Jesus, God has already made provision for everything His children would ever need in life. But prayer is His chosen means for us to draw from our spiritual bank account. Every kingdom has its own laws. God is Spirit, and His Kingdom operates by spiritual laws - key of which is prayer. Prayer is a sign of our recognition and dependence on God as our only source of life and everything. Its pride that keeps a person from his/her knees in a spirit of humble dependency upon the sovereign God. Such a person goes about doing his work and tackling his problems all alone, priding in self-sufficiency; arrogance and proud self is written all over his endeavours; confidence in himself reigns! Such a person has turned himself into his own god, and hes bound to fall! A prayer-less person is a rebellious person; and such a person cant get great blessings from God, because he does not go to Him in humble prayer. If youve not been praying, for any reason, quickly repent to God and start depending entirely upon Him alone in everything, in daily prayer. Ask for it properly! Yet it looks like many Christians do actually pray or ask God for what they want, except that they dont ask for what they ask asking for properly. Unfortunately, heaven has no place for vague requests wrongly directed prayers dont reach God. Just like a wrongly signed cheque or one with crossings or misplaced writings cant be honoured by the Bank, unfocused, confused and vague prayers also cant be honoured in heaven. Someone asks God for a Lorry truck, and the next day, as the angles prepare to ships it from the heavenly realms, the Christian changes his prayer and requests for a Bus; as the angels now divert to preparing him a bus, he again changes and asks for a saloon car, ending up sending Gods angels into confusion! What Heaven normally does for such mixed up or inconsistent prayer request is to wait for the person praying to settle and narrow down to what exactly he wants, before it can be sent to him. People who keep on changing the things they pray to God for often end up not getting anything, for you cant keep sending mixed signals and messages to the bank, be it our spiritual or worldly commercial bank, and yet expect to draw money from it. The Bible says, Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything

before God let your words be few (Eccl. 5:2). In other words, be clear and specific in prayer. Base your prayer on what God said, if at all possible. Find a promise in the Scriptures and go for it.
Yet there are many other believers who dont receive from God, simply because they dont go to Him with the respect and honour He deserves. God is Almighty and Creator of everything; yet so many times we do not seem to treat God with the respect He deserves from us His creatures. We go to Him while our hearts are also attending to other business. When a mobile phone rings, the person who was praying immediately stops the prayer and first answers their phone something we would not do even with the Very Important Persons (VIPs) of this world! Others pray while they are also attending to children, or to other people, business, etc. Such irreverent and distracted prayers are unlikely to get to God. God is worth of our greatest reverence and adoration, and when He is listening to our prayers, He is like someone on the other end of the phone line. When you are not focused on Him, your prayer-line gets disconnected. Jesus says when

you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen (Matt. 6:6).

The message: God wants our full, undivided attention. Give it to Him in prayer. Be private in your conversation with your God and avoid any distractions!
Be focused and clear and specific about what exactly you want Heaven to do for you. Dont keep sending out mixed messages. First workout what it is that you want, and then go and ask for it in very clear terms, like when you are writing a cheque leaf. If you ask and ask properly, you will receive for the Master makes this promise: If you then, though you are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him" (Lk. 11:9-13).

Chapter 2:

Believe Youve Received it There and Then!


So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. - Mk. 11:24 We are told to believe that we have received what we prayed to God for, even before we can see it. Yet a lot of us dont believe weve received what we prayed for, until weve seen it. In other words, we are unbelievers, because believers are meant to be those who did not see but believe. Very few Christians, for example, believe that they are rich and prosperous, when they ask for riches in prayer, and instead continue to feel, see and experience poverty. Very few believers will tell you, after they have prayed to God to heal them, that they are actually healed, when they are still seeing or experiencing the same terrible pain they were experiencing before they prayed. In other words, few believers are really true believers, for put our experience before our faith; we want to first see it, before we could believe it. They would rather first see or touch something, before they can believe that God has actually given it to them. The worldly slogan seeing is believing is as applicable to non-believers as it is to believers. But according to Jesus, a true believer is that person who, immediately after praying for something that is according to Gods will, there and then believes that he has received it; that God has given it to him, even before he is able to see it with his eyes, or touch it with his hands. One Sunday morning, I asked my Sunday Bible class: Who of you have asked God for something, but you have not yet received it? Nearly the whole church put up their hands. Then I said to them: If you really think you have not yet received what you asked God for, then you will perhaps never receive it; because in the Kingdom of God, the principle is: whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. If you do not believe that you have received it, you are not acting in Biblical faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). I will not be surprised if many have never pleased God even a single day of their lives, for many believers have never believed to have received anything from God, until they had seen or touched it physically. When a sinner comes to Jesus and prays for forgiveness or for salvation of his soul, after praying to God we dont thereafter say, we are just waiting for God to answer our prayer to forgive or to save us. No, we leave the place when we are sure we have received forgiveness or Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. But when it comes to getting answers to other things from God, things such as healing, getting a child or a spouse, money or some other thing, many Christians, after praying, have the mentality of waiting for God to answer their prayer. We pray or ask God for healing, for example, and then sit back and say something like, I am waiting for God to heal me. We even call it unanswered prayer, until we have seen what we prayed for. But to God, there is nothing like an unanswered prayer. Why should God grant us forgiveness for our sins or salvation for our souls, immediately after we have prayed to Him, and yet delay giving us other things? The same way you pray to receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and you receive Him there and then, when you pray for any other thing, according to Gods will (word), youre

answered immediately; youre given what you asked for there and then. The only thing is that you receive it in a spiritual form. True faith does not wait to see; it receives the blessing immediately, and then sees or touches it later. When it comes to receiving salvation, we go to the altar, pray the 'sinners prayer' and receive Jesus there and then. Just like the prayer of faith for salvation is a 'receiving prayer', not a waiting prayer, every other prayer prayed according to the will (word) of God must be a 'receiving prayer', and not a waiting prayer. Once youve prayed to God to heal you or to deliver you from any other thing, then know that it is done. Be 100% certain that someone or something, somewhere, has been changed. The physical result is on its way. You need not ask again and again! Many believers have a tendency of asking God the same thing again and again, thinking that in so doing, they will move God to do what they want. But come to think of it, does our God really need to be moved or persuaded? Does He need to be convinced? Isnt He already on our side? Jesus says whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mk. 11:24). If we believe that you have received it, why then do we keep asking for the same thing again and again? If you believe that your Bank has received your well dated and signed cheque, and that they are processing your pay, you dont have to keep writing out new cheques asking the same bank for the same money. They will think you are running mad! We dont place an order in a restaurant or hotel, and then doubt the order has been received, and so place the order again, and then again, and then again! We just ask once and wait patiently for the staff (angels) to process your request. Why should it be any different when we are asking from God? When we do ask God for help we should realize

He hears us the first time we ask Him for it. We don't need to spend our prayer time asking Him for the same thing over and over. We may keep talking to Him about our needs until we have assurance in our hearts that we have a breakthrough, but we don't have to do that to move God.
As you wait patiently, thank and praise God for what is coming. You can also prayerfully rebuke any satanic force that might interfere or otherwise try to block what heaven is processing for you, what the angels are delivering to you. Some Christians say they ask God again and again, because they are not sure whether their first prayer request was heard. But the Master says, Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it. He doesnt say, Whatever you ask for in prayer, double-confirm whether it was received. Simply believe that you have received it. If you pray and yet do not believe that you received it, then you are in doubt, you are not acting in faith; and without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). Doubt is one of the reasons many believers dont get what they have prayed for. For as soon as they pray and God immediately gives them in spirit what they have prayed for, before, however, this blessing manifests itself in the physical realm, they doubt whether God actually gave it to them. This way, they lose, for the Bible says, But when he (a believer) asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does (Jam. 1:1-8). Do not doubt or have a double-mind, which asking over and over again the same thing from God clearly means. We do not have to ask over and over again. God has big ears, and He not only hears every prayer, He knows what we want, even before we can ever ask for it. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him (Matt. 6:8). If you believe you received in spirit what you prayed for, but it has taken longer than you expected to manifest in the physical, this is a healthy concern. Take it to God in prayer, and He will be more than glad to clarify to you why it has taken long to manifest in the physical. Sometimes we might not be ready yet to handle Gods blessing. We might, for instance, have prayed for certain promotion or riches, but weve not yet grown enough to be able to handle the responsibilities that go with such promotion or riches? May be youre not properly positioned (spiritually, physically and otherwise) to receive what you prayed for? For example, God gave Joseph a vision of his future as a powerful world ruler (Gen. 37). But Joseph's dream (or prayer) could not come true, unless Joseph, by all means, had gone to a certain place (Egypt) where the dream was designed to be fulfilled. Had he, instead, gone to Syria or some other country, Joseph would never have seen the fulfillment of His dream or prayer. Thats why it is extremely important to daily ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into that proper place, job, work, company or spiritual positioning where the angels of God were instructed to deliver your promised blessing or answer to your prayer your place of divine appointment. Ask the Holy Spirit why what you prayed for has delayed to manifest, and He will tell you. Even when our condition (of sickness, poverty, debt, need of what) is real it is painful and negatively affecting our life, God the Creator of the Universe and what He says about our condition is more real than our condition. What He says about your condition is truth that is superior to the reality of your situation. What He says is truer than what we feel, see or otherwise experience; and Gods superior truth will soon swallow up the reality of our conditions. He is God Almighty! Why believing is important for receiving I was asking myself why God wants us to believe that weve actually received, before we can see and touch with our hands that thing we prayed for. I found the answer in the Book of Proverbs 23:7, whose King James version says, For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. What we believe God for is what we get. After praying, believe that its already yours. This is unwavering faith and God loves it. God is most pleased with people who believe in the unseen things He says He is doing; more than Christians who only believe after they have seen such things with their physical eyes. He told doubting Thomas: "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not see and yet have believed." (Jn. 20:29). God is delighted in believers who put their beliefs (faith) before experience (seeing results). Such believers say, If God says so, then thats it, even if I cant see it with my physical eyes; even if outside circumstances suggest otherwise. Why do such believers have that kind of confidence in the unseen? Its because they know that God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change his mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not

fulfill? (Num. 23:19). You must believe that you have received. You must know that what you want is yours the moment you ask, because you have asked for it from a loving Father who cannot lie, change or fail you. You must have complete and utter faith. This is lacking in many believers, and thats one of the reasons why we often dont get some of the things we pray for. Just as we do when weve placed an order in a restaurant, after praying to God, relax in the understanding that you are going to receive what you prayed for. See the things that you want as already yours. Know that they will come to you soon or later. Think of them as yours, as belonging to you, as already in your possession. Dont entertain thoughts of lack of them again.

Chapter 3: For as he thinks in his heart, so is he


There was a village boy called Tom, who was very timid, cowardly and bullied around by every boy on the village. This became a source of much pain and concern for her mother.

She devised a trick. She obtained a ring object, which she said had magic power. She told her son that if he wore this ring around one of his fingers, he would be unbeatable. Nobody would dare him again. Not long after, one of the most bullish boys on the village started to try to bully him around. Tom floored the chief of the bullies! And that was only the start. Soon Tom had made a reputation as the most daring soul on the village. When Toms mother felt that the boy was now thoroughly cured of the spirit of fear, she told him the truth that the magic ring was merely a piece of old junk that she had picked up by the roadside, and that she knew all Tom needed was faith in himself, a belief that he could do these things! The power of thoughts! As a person thinks so is he! One of the most important ingredients of our faith is our thoughts. Thoughts are a living force. They make or unmake us. The Bible says our lives go in the direction of our thoughts. We give birth to what we think. When we pray, God grants our prayers and gives us the good things weve prayed for in spiritual form. When Gods angels come, they look for that believer who already has something in their spirit. If they find that the person has something in his spirit, they effect or bring it about in the physical realm, for as he thinks in his heart, so I he. Unless the village boy seen above, we who are in Christ Jesus dont have just a piece of old junk picked up by the roadside. We have the Spirit of the Lion of the tribe of Judah; the Holy Spirit; the greater one (1 Jn. 4:4) - who created the Universe and who sustains it! But its our thinking that makes all the difference. Its our conscious thought of the divine power within us that makes all things attainable for us. In Him we are invincible in all battles of life; weve the ability to handle any situation that might present itself; we can do all things; we can solve every human problem and challenge. In Gods Kingdom, the working principle is: According to your faith will it be done to you" (Matt. 9:29). This is faith in what God says about you, your prayer or about your situation. If you think or believe that God has given it to you, you will touch it. If you do not think or believe that God has given it to you, according to your faith or thinking, it will be done to you. Few things please God like faith. When He finds a person who truly believes he already has what he prayed for in spirit, God causes the entire Universe of ministering angels to bring it into the seen. If your mind brings a thought that you have not yet received what you prayed for, and you entertain that thought, you will continue not to see it. Believe you have it already. When you do that, then God will powerfully move all circumstances, people, and events, to make sure that According to your faith it is done to you." Nurture thoughts of having received, and such thoughts will give birth to physical reality. One of the most important elements of winning faith is thus our thoughts. People of faith can think things into reality. Everything that was invented in history began with just one thought. From that one thought a way was made, and later it was manifested from the unseen realm of Gods kingdom into the seen world of men. Before you and I could ever be created, it was a thought that first came into Gods mind: Let us make man in our image " (Gen. 1:26). Those thoughts became a reality - man was created with two legs, hands, eyes, etc! We create or attract the things (good or bad) we think about or meditate on. If, for example, you want to get out of debts and borrowing, dont focus on them. Simply ask God for the amount of money you need to clear the debts, and think and see yourself receiving it. We attract what we focus on. When we focus on the negative or bad things, we attract

negative or bad things. When we focus on good or positive things, we attract good or positive things. Think about such things. which things? The Bible says: whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things (Phil. 4:8). Is your debt or sickness or sin, fear or whatever condition or situation youre in admirable, excellent or praiseworthy? If its not, then dont even think about it. Think about its opposite financial freedom, abundant health, righteousness, strength, victory, etc. Whenever a bad or negative thought or picture comes to your mind, immediately switch your mind to the opposite picture of you being healthy, wealthy, strong, righteous, free from (poverty, debt, sickness, sin or) whatever negative thing is coming to your mind. When we entertain negative thoughts, we cut ourselves off from our rightful heritage in Christ Jesus; for in Him is only - lovely, admirable, excellent, praiseworthy things, and nothing else. People who are wealthy became wealthy by thinking wealth and only wealth. People who are successful became successful by thinking success and only success. They refused to allow any other contrary thoughts in their minds. They thought of wealth, success, victory, breakthrough and nothing else. Their dominant thoughts of wealth, success, victory, and breakthrough brought those very things to them. When negative thoughts of failure, divorce, death, loss, becoming poor, sinning, etc. come to your mind, shift away from them, with the help of the Holy Spirit. The main reason why we often dont get what we want in life is because we often think more about the things we dont want, than about the things we want. We draw the things we think about most of the time. A lot of time we are criticizing, complaining or murmuring about this or that thing that is going wrong in our society, church, family, organization or life. In other words, we tend to think and talk more about our dont wants, than about our wants; we dwell more on the things we dont want, than on the things we want. As a result, we see more of the things we dont want into our lives, than the things we really want, because what we think and speak about is what we draw in our lives. Make sure your thoughts and words always send out signals of those things you want to draw in your life. Research tells us that each one of us has about 60,000 thoughts a day. Out of this 60,000, what exactly are your thoughts focused on? If there was a mental-video device that

could record all those thoughts that go through your mind, would you want to play it back for everyone? Its what we think most that we get or become in life, for as
a person thinks so is he. The thoughts we send out into the universe attach themselves to the like spiritual force in the universe, and then send it back to us. For everything you want to see in your life, focus on it with intensity, and hold it in focus. This is living faith, calling for what you want with the power of faith. What we think about, you bring about. Our life is the mirror of your thoughts. What do you want from God? Think about that. Meditate on it. Say it often. Hold that intention in focus.

Taking every thought captive

The enemy of abundant life knows very well that whatever he can implant it on our mind, hell soon establish it in our lives, for as a person thinks in his mind so is he. If the enemy of our souls is allowed to peep into the window of our house with his wrong and negative thoughts, he will soon push in his whole body. Thats why the Bible advises us to:

demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and (we) take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). If you dont destroy that tape which the enemy is quietly playing in your mind that - you will never overcome that sin, habit, sickness, debt, problem because of a,b,c,d . and you continue running and listening to that negative tape again and again, it will become an established fact or reality of your life. You need to demolish or destroy the enemys argument. How? By taking the enemys argument and telling him Look devil, it is written that by Jesus stripes I am healed, By Jesus becoming a curse, I was relieved of the curse of debt, barrenness, poverty, stagnation, etc We must destroy and tear to pieces with a relevant word of God every argument the enemy brings to our minds, by subjecting it to what our Lord Jesus says about it. Our lives will always go in the direction of our dominant thoughts, thoughts that are lodged within our minds. Where the mind goes, the man goes. If you think only about right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy things, these you will get or become, and vice-versa. When old man entertained negative thoughts of threats to his life, the negative things he feared actually came to happen: What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me. I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil" (Job. 3:25-26). Why did these things happen to Job? Its because he thought much of not having peace, of not having quietness; of not having rest, but only turmoil. He consequently attracted them, for as a person thinks in his mind so is he. Its a law of heaven that youll always attract the things you think more about. If you focus on lack of money, you attract more scarcity and lack; youll continue to attract the thoughts and feelings about your present financial condition. But if think about the money God is going to give you, and thank Him for having already given it to you in spirit, youll find yourself getting it and out of poverty, debt, scarcity and lack. The biggest idea in our minds got bigger because we gave our thoughts to it after it had first appeared in the mind. Then our subsequent thoughts and motions kept that idea alive and fed it until it became bigger. If we had taken our minds off it and focused instead on something else, it could not have continued to exist. It would have evaporated and disappeared. Whatever you want to magnify and see in your life think about it. Whatever you want to minimize and eliminate in your life, think less and less about it. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and control your thoughts. Truly rich people are rich, not just because they are lucky, but because they thought riches and not scarcity; and in so doing, they (consciously or unconsciously) drew those riches to themselves. Thoughts are an integral part of our faith and they are a creative spiritual force. As those people positively thought wealth (and not the scarcity or lack that was surrounding them at the time), the Spirit of the Lord was pleased with their faith and optimism, and accordingly moved people, circumstances and events around them to bring about what those people were thinking. As a man thinks so is he. Rich people were rich, even before they could acquire money. Successful people were successful, even before they could accomplish anything. Victorious people were victorious, even before they could physically knockdown their enemies. David was already thinking and talking victory over Goliath, even before he could fight him: I'll

knock you down and cut off your head, and I'll feed the bodies of the other Philistine soldiers to the birds and wild animals (1 Sam. 1:17).
Jesus was Saviour of this world, even before He could be born into this world; for the sacrificial Lamb of God for fallen humanity, was slain from the foundation of the world" (Rev. 13:8). Our lives will always go in the direction of our thoughts. The wealth that the rich have we can also have it. The only difference between us and the people who have manifested riches is that they thought much about it; they thought they could get it; they thought it was theirs. Consequently, their thoughts became the realities of their life experience. Your wealth and blessings of every description are awaiting you in the invisible realm of Gods spiritual Kingdom; to bring them into the visible, think them. If anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such a thing and youll have it! It also works as well in the negative. Negative thoughts are the cause of many of humanitys ills, including sicknesses and diseases, unhappiness and stress. Show me a stressed person and I will tell you that his stress began with one negative thought that entered his mind. That thought went unchecked, and then more similarly negative thoughts came and more, and the effect was stress. But the cause was negative thinking, and it all began with one little negative thought that was not taken captive to the obedience of Gods word. When we allow in our minds fearful thoughts thoughts of losing our salvation, our wealth, our marriages, our health, our ministries, our jobs, our children, etc - and such thoughts become dominant in our minds, they become the realities of our lives. With the help of the Holy Spirit, shift from every negative thought and replace it with a positive thoughts.
Dealing with thoughts of fear, worry and anxiety Fearful thoughts fear of harm, death, pain, poverty, bankruptcy, unemployment, divorce, eviction, shame, or loss of any valued thing - are so dangerous an enemy of the mind that God is said to repeat the commandment fear not more than 300 times in the bible! I once lived in one of the areas of our city suburbs where there were many potential thieves. Whenever it rained at night, I would not sleep, fearing that thieves might any time break in our house. Even if it didnt rain, whenever I heard some cracking sound outside, a thought would come to my mind that may be a thief was moving around or trying to break in (although often it turned out to be dogs and cats moving around!). Then the Holy Spirit brought to my mind a story of one courageous old woman who lived in the suburbs of London at the height of the Second World War. At the height of the in the second world war between 7 September 1940 and 10 May 1941, the Nazi Germany sustained their aerial bombardment of Britain, which had begun with the bombing of London for 76 consecutive nights. The bombing of London in this period was said to be far more intensive, persistent and devastating than the bombing in other countries; so much that by the end of May 1941, over 43,000 civilians, half of them in London, had been killed by bombing and more than a million houses were destroyed or damaged in London alone. Whenever the bombs started raining down, every body would leave their houses and seek shelter in the bunkers and bomb shelters, except one elderly woman who would remain sleeping in her house. Concerned about her safety, some of her neighbours went over to her house and asked why she was risking her life like that? The old lady replied with a great

Scripture: He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep (Ps. 121:4) Its therefore not fair that both of us should be awake at the same time. Glory to God! You might say the lady was careless, nonetheless, but she also knew of a great scriptural principle that Bible teaches us: Cast all your anxiety on Him (Jesus) because He cares for you (1 Pt. 5:7); Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall (Ps. 55:22). As children of the Almighty God, wherever we are, all the time, we are ever under constant surveillance, watch, protection and care by our Fathers angels. Nothing gets to us, without His awareness. He is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Ps. 46:1). Whenever thoughts of fear, worry or anxiety about this or that need, problem or threat to your life or loved ones or property, ministry, business or reputation comes to mind, simply cast all your anxiety, fears or concerns on Jesus, and He will take good care of them for you. And once youve cast or thrown a burden or luggage onto a truck or lorry, dont remain carrying it in your mind! Erase it from your mind, and whenever the enemy brings it back to your attention, simply tell him that My Lord Jesus has already taken care of that; everything is working together for my good, Praise Jesus! Whenever the enemy brings a thought of fear, worry or anxiety about anything, simply use it as an opportunity to praise the Lord and thank Him for His loving care and goodness. If you do this, the enemy will stop bringing many fearful thoughts on to your mind, for he hates seeing us praising Jesus! Our lives will always move in the direction of our most dominant thoughts. Those who make sure that their thoughts on any matter are the same as God's thoughts are the most successful people in life. If you think like God, you will live like God, for as a person thinks so is he. Whatever comes to your mind, immediately turn it into a prayer or an instrument of praise, worship and thanksgiving to God. Thus we are advised: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Phil. 4:6). When faced with a threat or a problem, a challenge or a need, just say a prayer and then, trust, with all your heart that God will solve the problem, or bring the answer to you, or make the situation go away. Dont worry about it anymore. Choose to turn it over to God. Hell take care of it. Whatever we worry about becomes bigger the more we worry about it. Just let go and let God handle it. Trust and everything will turn out right. This is the best way to harness our thoughts and to make our minds and lives extremely productive and fruitful. Thoughts of fear pull us down to the reach, and control of natural forces. Thoughts of faith lift us up to the reach, and control of supernatural forces. After putting such a huge load and burden of all the worlds evils on the back of the Lord Jesus (through the Calvary Cross), God does not want to see any of His children carrying around the weight of problems and burdens! God wants us to cast all of our worries and concerns, problems and burdens onto Jesus, because He has already taken borne them on the cross; and He cares for us. When we give God our problems, He promises to give us His peace which surpasses understanding (Phil. 4:7). Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:30).

When I got trapped in sin

Why do you think many people are trapped in sinful habits which they try to free themselves from, but without success? Its because such people are told and they actually think that they are sinners. Its imbedded in their mind that they are sinners. I remember when I was still a good Catholic boy. I desired to be pure and holy, as much as possible. But the more I struggled to live a holy life, the more I sinned. I fought sinful habits with all force, but in vain. Every time I went to Church, the priest could not end the mass without saying something about sin. I was made to feel even guiltier. I could go to a priest and confess the same sin again and again, until I feared what he might think of me. Then I would switch to another priest, but without registering any change in my behaviour. It was until I read 2 Corinthians 5:21 which says, God made Him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. This was the most liberating truth that had ever struck me! I had all along been so often made to think that, even though I was in Christ, I was still a sinner. No one had ever told me that in Jesus, Im actually the righteousness of God, regardless of my imperfections; and that I had more of the holiness, purity and righteousness of God in me than the sin nature that was trying to rule in my flesh. The moment I learnt the truth of God about me, my behaviour changed! For the first time, the word of Jesus became alive in my life: you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free (Jn. 8:32). We often try to manipulate our surroundings. If for example, we ant to lose weight, we can change what we eat, or take up a rigorous exercise regimen. If one wants to get out of debt, one may decide to work extra-time to earn more money, etc. We can do these things without, however, changing who we are inside people who love and think in terms of eating excessively, people who love to overspend, or to indulge in pleasure, etc. Consequently, the results we get from these efforts are temporary; we end up getting back to the same condition we were in before. A person can fast all day and night, day and day out, in order to tame his fleshly sexual lust, but if deep inside him he still feels he is a sinner, and if he loves or thinks favourably about sinful pleasure, the external change will only be superficial. As long as we are in agreement with the self-image firmly embedded in our sub-conscious mind, manipulating our surroundings only provides a temporary fix. Its the right selfimage that is firmly embedded in your subconscious mind that will make you naturally desire the right activities; and your life will then get rid of everything it doesn't need, in order to reflect the new image you have in your subconscious mind. The key point here is that we must be something before we can ever do something. We can do something only to the extent to which we are something. And what we are depends upon what we think or believe from God; for as a person thinks so is he. We have to be holy or righteous on the inside of us, before we can ever do holy things outside of us. We have to be rich, healthy, victorious in our minds, before we can ever manifest those riches, health and victories in our lives. The holiness, health, wealth, victory get depends upon what we think or believe God about ourselves. As a person thinks so is he. You can not express (powers, righteousness, wisdom, holiness, knowledge, etc.) that you do not possess inside of you; and all possession is based on conscious thought. Only the maker of the human mind, however, can change a wrong mindset. Ask the Holy Spirit to change the wrong attitude or mindset or self-image that is firmly embedded in your sub-conscious mind, and He shall. Ask Him to change your wrong inner desires. If our inner-stances (attitudes/beliefs) are changed, our external circumstances must follow. If

this is done, temptations can come, but they will absolutely have no power over the new self-image that is firmly embedded in you. No matter how much the devil will try to tempt him to eat it, a person who has it deeply imbedded in his mind that dog meat is not edible will not eat dog meat. And who do you think you are? What you believe about yourself determines what you become in life. God told a villager called Jeremiah who did not believe in himself the following words: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations (Jer. 1:4-5). Jeremiah believed God and went on to become one of the greatest prophets of all time. Many of us today wish that God had, like He did with Jeremiah, so clearly prophesied to us, that we were a special child, destined for greatness and accomplishments in this world. The awareness of this prophecy, we might say, would have a big impact on how we see and feel about ourselves. It would affect our choices and decisions in life. Yet this is what God has precisely said about every one of us that gets born into this world, although God may not have appeared to us face to face as He did to Jeremiah. First of all, God says you and I are fearfully and wonderfully made created and knit in our inmost being in our mothers wombs by none other than Himself, and under His direct supervision. His word goes on to say in the same verse that every single day we live was ordained for us and written down, before any of them came to be (see Ps. 139:13-18). The Lord goes on to say that you are as specially sent as He Himself was sent into this world: As the Father has sent me, I am sending you... (Jn. 20:21); and that All things are yours," (1 Cor. 3:21). What greater destiny could one have? The fact of the matter is that every child that God allows to be born in this world, whatever the circumstances of its birth, its a special child with a special destiny. Just as the case was with Jeremiah so it is with you and me. Before the world and people around you came to know you, God had long known you as someone who is very important and significant. He set you apart, as someone who is special, unique, and unlike anyone else around you. God also appointed you, so your status was not dependent upon human opinion. But as a man thinks so is he. If you believe you are special, then you are, and youll do special things. If you think you are no-body, that youre not significant or important in this
world, so will you be, unfortunately. But if, like Jeremiah you take God for His word, and daily cultivate an attitude that Im a man/woman on a divine mission; sent into this world by none other than God Himself; equipped with the same Spirit of power and creation, just as the Lord Jesus Himself was! Im fearfully and wonderfully made All things of God are mine" if we think of ourselves like that (just as God says of us), we will be unbeatable in all battles of life; we will achieve great things for God in this world.

It all depends on what we think (believe) about ourselves, based on Gods word. Your thinking, your scriptural beliefs is the key that unlocks the power of God in your life. Successful people are driven by the awareness that they are special and success-destined people, because thats what God said about them. That awareness, that thinking, that faith then shapes their choices and leads them to do great things in this world. Believe the truth that, in Jesus, you are special, and that youre on this earth for a special purpose, for a divine mission. Your correct

thinking will open you up to God who rewards faith. That faith will allow God to show up in mysterious ways to create a great and fruitful life for you!

Never think about the how


We miss so many good things that God has otherwise already given us, because we cannot think how its going to come in the circumstances before us. But if you look at history, youll realize that anyone who accomplished anything big did not know how they were going to do it; but they only knew that they are going to do it. Just as mother Mary didnt have to know how a virgin would give birth to a child ("How will this be" Lk. 1:34), you dont need not know how God will rearrange the universe to give you what you want. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mothers womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things (Eccles. 11:4-6). Dont allow yourself to get caught up in how, when and where games. Just ask and then believe, think and feel it, and it will manifest. We dont know, and need not know really, how God rearranges the universe to accomplish His purposes in our lives. Leave it to Him. He is sovereign. All we need is baby-like faith. How will it happen or come about is not our concern. This is the Holy Spirits job, and He knows what to do. For many things, we cant imagine or conceive them; and when we fail to do so, we lose our faith and confidence, because we dont see how it will come to pass. The problem with questioning how it will happen or come to pass, is that we begin discharging a frequency of doubt, which is a frequency that contains lack of faith. Will it really? How exactly?... Thus we dont believe that we have it, because we cant see how it will come to pass; we dont believe God will do it for us, under the circumstances, and this way, we have elevated our environment and circumstances above Almighty God! This is unbelief of the highest order. Avoid it any cost. Dont look to people and environment The Psalmists asks, I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? Where do you lift up your eyes to? To people? To the hills or environment around you? The word of God says in Jeremiah 17:5, "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength Looking to people or environment is a killer. As the Psalmists correctly puts it, My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Ps. 122:1-2). If you want to receive anything you prayed to God for, look to Him, and Him alone, not to people or environment around you. It is not people who give us the things we desire. If you hold to that false belief, you will experience lack, because you are looking at the outside world and people as your source of supply. This is idolatry! Dont look to the negative past Some people also look at people who have failed and wonder how they themselves would succeed under the same circumstances. They ask How will I succeed where all others have failed? This way, they indeed fail, because as a person thinks so is he. Dont look at other peoples failures and take the as a guideline. Dont look to the past beyond what you can learn from it. If we go back over our life or other peoples lives and focus on the failures and difficulties from the past, we just bring more difficult circumstances to us

now. When we hold a grudge or blame someone for something in the past or in the present, we only harm ourselves. Never think about size One of the reasons why we question how it will come to pass, is that we think about the size of our need or problem; and seeing no way out of it, given our environmental limitations, we begin discharging a frequency of doubt. But understand that size and height are nothing to the Creator of the Universe. Giving you 100 billion shillings is to Him as simple as giving you 1 shilling. To God, nothing is hard. He asks: Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth ... He said to the paralytic, "Get up, take your mat and go home." And the man got up and went home. When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to men " (Matt. 9:58). Once a need arose to feed thousands of people in a desert, yet there were only seven loaves of bread and five small fish. Jesus asked the disciples to feed the people, but the disciples scarcity-lack mentality immediately showed up. Where will anyone be able to find enough to satisfy these men with bread here in a desolate place? they asked. But Jesus who lived by faith, rather than by sight, ordered them to have the people sit down in groups, and after thanking EL SHADDAI, the God of more than enough, there was more than enough bread and fish to feed over 5000 people (Mk. 8:1-9)! Jesus thought about what God could do in the desert environment. The disciples thought about the desert environment and how it could not provide what they wanted. The disciples were limiting their ministry by what they thought they could not do or what their environment could not allow. Jesus, however, knew He was connected to a God of no limitations, and He always thought not about the limiting circumstances, but about the unlimited God. So often we miss the miracles of God by focusing on our mountains, instead of focusing on our mountain- mover Jesus! Never focus on your limitations or problems. Dont focus on the number of people you have to feed. Focus on what God has or can do. This was Moses problem in the desert, when he said, "Here I am among six hundred thousand men on foot, and you say, 'I will give them meat to eat for a whole month!' Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?" The Lords answered Moses, "Is the Lords arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you" (Num. 11:21-23).

Chapter 4 Keep speaking it out!


God created the world and everything we see in it, not with His hands, but by words Let there be . And there was (Gen. 1). A lot of us want to be as creative as God was, except that we dont believe we could do it the way he did, by speaking it into existence. This way we miss it, for whatever God created in this world, He first spoke it out as a mere word, and later "The Word became flesh (Jn. 1:14). Our tongues have the power to create or destroy, to bring about positive or negative things in ones life. Our thoughts are closely aligned with our words - For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks (Lk. 6:45). We attract in our lives what we think and speak (again whether positive or negative). Thats why the Bible says Let the weakling say, I am strong!" (Joel 3:10). Why? Because we will always attract to ourselves what we think and speak out. The Bible says that Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Prov. 18:21, KJV). In other words, we create the world or the realities we speak into existence! We reap our words. Continually speak poverty success and you will reap success. Speak failure and you will reap failure. Continually declare yourself to be victorious in every area, regardless of your present environment and circumstances, and

the creative power that God put in your tongue will create exactly that for you. Yet, as the Bible says, the tongue has the potential to fill a person with good things in much the same way the work of his hands can reward him: From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him (Prov. 12:14)! Speak only what you want to see happening in your life, family, church or nation. Never speak what you dont want to see in your or somebodys life. Even when you feel or have actually been diagnosed with a sickness, simply say I acknowledge the findings of the Xray and the doctor, but by Jesus stripes, Im healed - and it shall be done according to your faith. God says As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do toy you the very things I heard you say (Num. 14:28). What words, confessions, declarations or claims are coming out of your mouth everyday? What is Heaven hearing your lips saying, so that Gods angels can enforce it? If you speak positive words, the same truths that God says about you, Gods angels will surely work to enforce and bring them into reality in your life. If you speak negative words, the devils angels move to enforce them in your life. Know it that the devils angels are very much at work every day in this world, as surely as Gods angels are. We receive from whatever source we send signals to through our thoughts, words and acts. Gods angels enforce in our lives Gods will (promises) that we believe and confess. God assures us that I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled" in your life (Jer. 1:12)! Isnt this wonderful news and reassurance? Always say only the right and good things God says about you; things you would want to see in your life or somebodys life. Dont sit there and start gossiping or confessing how your family, life, nation, church or organization is doomed or headed for disaster, based on whats going on around! If you continue confessing doom or some other negative outcome, it will surely come! But you can change the current trend of things by confessing and declaring positive outcomes.
Say what God says about your situation and it will become what He says about it. You situation will change, once you start thinking and speaking things that are noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy, as the Bible advises. If you want to change your life or circumstances, start by changing your thoughts and words. Instead of referring to yourself as a poor, sick, weak, sinful, unlucky, indebted person, start referring to yourself as a healthy, strong, rich, and successful person, even if outside or in the physical, things are indeed depressing. The physical world in which we live is subordinate to the supernatural world of the Spirit we dont see with our physical eyes. Instead of saying Ive a problem, say, I have a solution on the way; it will get better, this is subject to change; it must change then your problem will soon or later disappear. Our thoughts and words are supernatural creative forces. Use them fruitfully.

Keep calling yourself it! One of the greatest marks of faith is to start calling yourself what youve prayed for, even before you can see or touch it. This is the great faith of Abraham we are all told to emulate. God called Abram and promised that He would make him into a great nation (Gen. 12:2). Although Abraham was a very old man and his wife Sarai were well beyond the reproductive age, they believed God. The critical part of their belief or faith was to change their names - Abram to Abraham (father of many), and Sarai to Sarah (mother of many) (Gen. 17:5,15). Daily, whenever Sarah called out Abraham, she was calling out father of many; and whenever Abraham responded here I am, he was agreeing that he was indeed the father

of many (Abraham). The same applied to Sarah. Whenever Abraham called out Sarah, he was actually saying mother of many, and whenever Sarah replied here I am, she was actually affirming that she was indeed mother to many children. What happened next? Daily as they called each other out father-of-many, mother-ofmany, their thoughts and words attracted to them from the spiritual into the physical realm what they were calling themselves father and many of many children. Sarah and Abraham gave birth to twelve nations; the twelve tribes of Israel through Issac and then Jacob. Hagar and Abraham gave birth to twelve nations though Ishmael and Abraham knew this would happen, because God had said it would. Concerning his first son Isaac, Abraham was not worried that God had given him only one son, rather than the many He had promised him. Abraham knew very well that Isaac was just a seed God was going to use to give him many descendants. At the end of the day, all together Abraham became a father of twenty four nations.

By Abraham and Sarah daily preaching it to themselves (through their names) that they were parents of many children, that truth firmly got down into their hearts and they produced it out; it became a reality.
We will become what we daily speak, confess or call ourselves. If youve prayed to God to make you rich, immediately and daily start calling yourself Mr. Rich. Call yourself Miss. Success. Call yourself The-more-than-Conquer, Uncle Money, Mrs. Wisdom, Peace, Blessed whatever you have prayed for. But for many Christians, when you ask, How are you doing? most of them will tell you so-so, fair-fair, not too bad etc. As a result of the divine principle, they continue to attract that average, not-too-bad mediocre life they think and confess; instead of the very good, excellent, fantastic, wonderful, fabulous kind of life God wants them to have. We are not saying that we should be denying the reality of the situations we are going through; we are saying we should always acknowledge the superior truth of what God says about our life and those situations. The truth of what God says about us and our life situations is always far above our earthly realities, for every earthly reality is subject to and is shaped by Gods word of truth. You would rather say, Im doing so-so, but its changing; God is working on it; it can only get better.
If God says youve received it, dont you yourself speak in future tense, saying, I will receive it. Winners in Gods Kingdom speak in PRESENT tense, for their Lord says its done. Instead of saying, I will get healed, or "I want to get out of debt in one year," they say, Im healed, I am out of debt now," in Jesus name. Why? If you continue harbouring the idea in your subconscious mind that youre still sick, that youre still in debt, youll still be in sickness or debt for as a person thinks so is he! Even when the one year elapses, you will still be one year away from being out of debt! So dont postpone the miracle or blessing God has given you but referring it to a future date. Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it (Mk. 11:24). The Bible actually says our victories in Christ are already a done deal: He (Jesus) Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed (1 Pet. 2:24). On the same tree (cross) and in exactly the same way, Jesus bore our poverty, our debts, our barrenness, our lack of anything. If you want to live a sickness-free or debt-free life, after praying for it, then you must start thinking and speaking being sickness free, debt-free in your heart right now. Whatever it is youve prayed for, make sure it its received in the present tense. Of course you will most likely, for sometime, continue to see and experience the opposite of the sickness or debt-free

life you are now thinking and confessing. Dont worry about this; in time, you will start feeling and seeing what you been believing and confessing. Thats how it works in Gods Kingdom. Our lives soon or later go in the direction of our dominant thoughts, beliefs and words. Our right thinking and speaking activate the good forces of heaven to move in the direction of our faith. Our wrong thinking sets in motion the negative forces of the spiritual world to move wrong things in the direction of our thoughts. When we think in our heart" that we are right now out of sickness, debt, or whatever condition we prayed to God to change, we are putting into motion the supernatural forces of the Heaven to lead us to the right people, places, and things that will help to make sure that according toy your faith it is done unto you; to make sure that Gods word (will) is enforced in the life of the believer. The faulty thinking of many Christians has made it hard for the promises of God to be fulfilled in their lives; for Gods kingdom operates on specific principles, key of which is faith; and without which we cant please heaven and pull down its blessings. If you want to get Gods best of life and everything, never allow your spirit (of faith) to be dragged down along with your current situation or circumstances. Always ensure that your spirit is in tune with what the Word of God says about your situation; and that our spirit is above our natural senses and feelings directing them, rather than being dragged down along with them. The Bible says this of believers, For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God (Col. 3:3). Our life is hidden in Christ, and that Christ in which our lives are hidden is never bankrupt, broke, poor, in debt, sick, weak, down, or any other such negative thing. The more we daily call ourselves those positive things we prayed for, or which God says we are or have, the more such things will manifest themselves in our lives. Of course the people of the world who dont know spiritual truths may call you mad or a daydreamer, or think you are boasting. Dont worry about all this, for when you become a

Christian, youre set in a wholly different dimension in which you can see what nonbelievers dont see. As Jesus told His disciples, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given (Matthew 13:11). Soon or later, however, the same people will agree that you were indeed right. If the descendants of Abraham are to walk in the blessings and victories of Abraham, they must also walk in the practices of Abraham calling themselves what God calls or gave them in spirit, rather than calling themselves what they see, feel or otherwise experience in their bodies and lives. In Jesus, we are children of the Almighty God of Abraham who gives life to the dead and call things that are not as though they were (Rom.4:16-17). Our Creator creates by calling into physical existence things that were not in visible existence. If we are to be as creative as He is, we need to believers who, based on Gods word, call into physical existence things that are in the spiritual realm. Learn to daily prophesy to situations you want to see changed in your life, using Gods word. Im told of a man who wanted to overcome severe poverty, lack and crippling financial debt in his life. The man badly needed a financial breakthrough. The Lord gave to this man the following scriptures: "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing" (Ps. 34:10); "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich" (2 Cor. 8:9); "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:19). The Lord instructed this man to speak those scriptures out of his mouth in his room four hours a day! Within weeks after obeying the Lord's instructions, this man started to see positive financial results, as the rock of poverty was being broken up by the faith-filled

words he daily confessed. We might think it cruel of the Lord to ask this man to speak those scriptures out of his mouth in his room four hours a day. But the Lord had a reason. If the Lord had instructed this man to speak those three scriptures only a few minutes a day, it might have taken many months or years to see results, because the man had a big, big rock to demolish and yet his faith was too low. If he was to have a quicker breakthrough, he had to quickly build up the faith required to move his mountain. Jesus required Simon Peter to confess his love for the Lord three times; the same number of times he had denied Jesus, for Peter to be reinstated (Jn. 21:15-20). The bigger the rock, the heavier the hammer and the more often you need to hammer at it (with Gods word). Just as a certain kind of spiritual forces goes not out but by prayer and fasting (Matt. 17:21), big mountains require big prayers and confessions, before they cam be moved. If you want to see the promises of God work in your life for healing, prosperity, peace, success in school or in whatever area, consistently confess, declare or claim Gods promises. Prophesy what you want to see, based on Gods word, as
often as possible. If there is to be accelerated growth, there must be accelerated eating! So, no matter what problems you have: health, marital, financial, children, etc., etc., my counsel to you is one: begin thanking God for providing for the fulfillment of those promises in your life through Jesus. Then begin confessing those promises out of your mouth as if they were already fulfilled in your life. Quit speaking the negative circumstances, completely! Keep saying about yourself what the Word of God is saying about you. In time, and for sure, the Holy Spirit will manifest those promises in your life. Get two or three scriptures out of your Bible

that cover your situation or area of need and start ceaselessly hammering away at that ugly rock of resistance in your life! As you do, expect to see your hopes become reality soon or later. You will destroy lack and debt, sickness and disease, whatever is troubling you!

~ The best way to see a change in any life situation is to intensively, consistently and tirelessly apply Gods relevant word to it speaking, confessing, declaring, claiming the truth of the word, and doing whatever it tells you to do! ~
Great faith that is able to manifest Gods spiritual blessings into our lives has a complete trust in the dependability of God and His word, and accepts it as truth above any other fact, evidence or circumstance. Such faith claims and confesses the truth of God in a given matter, day and night, until Gods truth prevails. God cannot go back on His word or

promises; what He has promised He must do, for He cannot lie. But for God to work in our lives, He needs our faith expressed through our thoughts, minds, words, feelings, and acts. Our faith is not yet ready to produce for us the miracle or blessing God has given us, until we start calling ourselves it!
As a man thinks and speaks so is he. This spiritual principle works in all areas. People who are always thinking, talking or preaching about generational curses always attract and see curses from one generation to another. But people who are always thinking and confessing generational blessings of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, Jesus, they attract the same blessings.

A person of speaks of herself as being barren, as doctors reports have said, or as being poor, because he has no money to buy food or whatever those conditions will find that person to be a suitable habitation. On the other hand, a person who thinks and speaks of himself as being rich, righteous, healthy, strong, even if that person is experiencing lack, weakness and sickness he will attract what he thinks and speaks; his condition will change to reflect his thoughts and words. People who think and talk about sin and sin every time continue to sin and sin and to be overcome by it. But people who continually think and speak of themselves as being the righteousness of God through Jesus, such people truly live to experience what they think and confess. God is faithful to faithful thinkers and speakers. Avoid negative thoughts and words!
We will always attract what we think and speak. Many people are filled with problems that dont seem to go away, simply because they are always thinking on what they dont have or complaining about problems in their families, churches, organizations, nations or societies; rather looking at what God has in store for them (through Jesus), and thanking Him for it. The more we think and complain about a problem, the more it remains. The more you think about the solution to your problem, and thank God for the solution that exists to that problem, the faster youll see the solution. Gods creative energies in the universe dont work in the lives of people with negative thoughts and words. Just like a heat-seeking missile, people with negative thoughts and words attract destructive energies of the universe, coming from the enemy of our soul Satan and his angels. Thats why we are advised: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Eph.4:29-30). Unwholesome talk produces unwholesome fruits. Wholesome or constructive talk produces positive results.

Jesus couldnt do many miracles in places where people lacked faith, where people were negative (Matt. 13:58). Jesus would also chase away negative and critical people around Him, before doing some miracles. When He went to resurrect a dead girl and found a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly in hopelessness and disbelief, the Bible says that He put them all out, He took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was (Mark 5: 37-41). Why did Jesus chase those people out? Its because Gods power is limited in working in an environment of disbelief and negativity. And thats why Jesus nearly chased away Martha from the scene, when Jesus went to resurrect Lazarus, but instead of finding an atmosphere of faith and optimism that is necessary for the flow of Divine resurrection and creative power, He instead found an atmosphere of hopelessness and negativity in Martha. Whereas Jesus was saying "Take away the stone," from the grave of Lazarus, hopeless and faithless Martha was saying: But, Lord by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there (dead) four days." This prompted Jesus to turn on her and say, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" (Jn. 11:35-40). If Jesus is to bless or do great things for us, Hell need a good spiritual environment of faith. He doesnt want a negative attitude, which says, Lazarus is already rotten for days, the situation is hopeless, the obstacles and environment are too hard! He wants a positive attitude of faith that says, even though Lazarus is dead for days, even though my situation looks hopeless, even through the circumstances look hard and terribly against me Jesus is my way, my resurrection and my life I will find a way

around this. He who believes in Jesus will always win, conqueror, succeed, prosper, overcome, prevail even when the situation looks terribly dead, rotten or hopeless. Jesus through [whom] all things were made (Jn. 1:3) knew very well how the creative energies of Gods Kingdom work; that is, by thinking and speaking about the positive things you want to see, rather than about the negative thing you hear, see or feel. In line with this creative principle, whereas Martha and the disciples were saying that Lazarus is dead and finished, Jesus was saying that Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up" (Jn. 11:11). Never say such things like things are bad, life is hard, the situation is hopeless, etc. Such words only perpetuate those situations in your life. Our thoughts and words are creative forces. They will produce wherever we sow them. Never say your business, economy, marriage, ministry, career, children, life is dead or finished. Never tell your child that he is foolish or stupid. Always rise higher than what you see or experiences and have a higher faith-filled attitude in the power of God. In the midst of an apparent disaster or crisis, simply say, No, this is a disguised testimony, its only a set up for a stronger comeback, it is not the end of it it is merely meant for God's glory and power to be revealed! If youve this kind of positive attitude and faith, you will see the power of God working to change your marriage or children; your ministry or church; your society or environment, your life or whatever situation. The word says in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose (Rom. 8:28). This simply means that every negative or bad thing that happens in life is to a believer and lover of God - nothing more than a seed for something great. Stumbling blocks are stepping stones to higher levels. Set-backs are set-ups for strong come-backs. Problems are disguised opportunities for promotion. Tests are disguised testimonies. Jesus said this of gravely sick Lazarus: "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it (Jn. 11: 4). You may, in your natural senses, and in the heat of the moment, not see a silver-lining or any positive side to it, but the fact is that there is a silver-lining to every cloud, however dark it might be. Negative happenings in the life of a believer are nothing more than seeds for God's glory and power yearning to be manifested. We hate hard times, but hard times come not to stop us, but to call out the hidden power of God in us; and to give us an opportunity to demonstrate the power and glory of God. In the midst of every difficulty or very bad happening or situation, God often has and can bring out a great purpose. So, always be positive about everything, whoever negative or bad it might appear to be. We always talk about accidents; but the word accident doesnt exist in Gods Kingdom, for nothing happens without His fore full knowledge. If youre a child of God, everything that happens to or in your life was known by God, long before the devil could ever conceive it in his mind. And if youre walking with the Holy Spirit, everything you face is divinely ordered. The people and the circumstances you meet everyday (good or bad) are all divinely pre-arranged to accomplish a greater purpose. If something doesnt turn out as you had wanted, if someone doesnt behave as you had expected them to, dont complain or get disappointed with them or with God. All things work together for the good of those who are called by God, even if you may not see exactly how. The Holy Spirit who leads us knows better and sees farther we ever possibly could. Speak positively about every situation, even if the situations are apparently extremely negative. Every positive thought or word, emotion or feeling serves to release Divine

power and blessings coming into your situation from Heaven. Every negative thought or word, emotion or feeling, on the other hand, only serves to block good from coming to you from heaven. Negativity only works to frustrate Gods laws of transmitting positive things and riches from the spiritual realm into the physical realm. When your children ask for something you dont presently have, dont say We cant afford that, We cant manage it; for youll always attract what you confess! When you say I cant, negative forces in the universe will ensure that your word is enforced. But when you say; Yes, we can afford or get that then heaven will ensure that it is done according to your faith. Without faith that goes beyond our natural senses, beyond what we hear, taste, see, feel or otherwise experience, we can never see greater works of God manifested in our lives. For everything you want, always look beyond your natural senses, beyond your abilities, environment, circumstances and sources, and boldly say: I can get that [money, job, position, house, land, thing, etc.] in Jesus name, I can do it through Christ who gives me strength (Phil. 4:13). Become like a parrot! Say it over and over, and you will see it, in Jesus name.

Chapter 5 What shapes your thoughts?


For most people, even Christians, our thoughts tend to be shaped by one or more these influences: the opinions of people; the scientific facts of the experts of this world; and the environment or the experiences we have gone through. But this is the wrong way to live, more so for a Christian who came from another world, and who is supposed to live by the Constitution (the truth and guidelines) of the Kingdom of God from which he came. If youre a Christian, your mind and thoughts are supposed to be shaped by nothing other than the truth as contained in the word of God. This worlds economists, for example, have told us time and again that resources are limited; and so over the years, weve developed a mentality, a perception, a way of thinking that we are living in a world of scarcity, insufficiency, lack, a world of not-enough. So many people are so convinced of the scarcity and limitations of resources available to them that they dont even want to share or give out some of their money and other resources to the work of the gospel or to the poor. But all this is demonic deception. Our minds and thoughts should not be shaped by the economists or any other people of this world. Our minds and thoughts should be shaped by the truth of God. And the truth is, for example, that our God and the Kingdom of Heaven to which we belong is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (2 Cor. 9:8)! The medical experts could have diagnosed someone with a particular disease, say malaria or HIV. They have seen the bacteria or viruses in the blood samples; this is a scientific fact. But the truth of God is superior to any scientific or other facts. In the beginning God created the

heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1). Before malaria, HIV or any other virus, before any human problem or being - even the heavens and the earth in which they dwell - existed, God existed. God is truth; His word is truth; and His word is Himself (Jn. 1:1). So whats that need, problem or challenge in your life and in this world that is above God, or above His word, His truth? ~ Simply tell that need, problem or challenge exactly what God says about it; and it shall become what God says about it! ~ Tell, for example, the spirit of scarcity, lack, and insufficiency, tell every thoughts and words coming from a lack, a limited supply, and from not-enough mentality what the superior truth of Gods word says. Whereas the world and our environment are always screaming scarcity, insufficiency, lack, its not enough, the truth of the Lord Almighty says, " I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land I will fill this house with glory The silver is mine and the gold is mine (Hag. 2:6-8); The earth is the Lords, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it (Ps. 24:1); for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills for the world is mine, and all that is in it (Ps. 50:10-12); All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me (Matt. 28:18). Tell the thoughts of lack that our God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Eph. 3:20); and that, And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19)! If God is able to provide more than we need or imagine, if He is able to provide grace so that in all things and at all times we have more than we need, so where is scarcity, insufficiency; where is lack in this world? Its just in peoples minds; and it remains there until you cast it out and replace it with the word of truth above, for as a person thinks so is he.

Count yourself The Bible says, In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus (Rom. 6:11). To count yourself simply means to consider yourself to be what God says you are, even if you dont see or feel it in the physical senses; even if other people say you arent it. If God said He made Jesus who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God, lets call ourselves not sinners but the righteousness of God. (Actually, the word Christian means the anointed of Christ!). If Gods word says Christ redeemed you from the curse, by becoming a curse on the Cross for you, in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to you through Christ Jesus, (Gal. 3:13-14), never say you are cursed in any way. Call yourself Blessed with abundant health, wealth, children, righteousness, riches, peace, joy, or whatever thing of God you want. The truth or word of God (about you, your situation, your problem, your need), if you think and confess it, you become it. If you think you are a wicked sinner or the wretched of the earth, you will continue to sin helplessly. We cant live above our though life and words. But if you change your thinking and start thinking or agreeing with what the word of God says about you or your situation, then you will become or get hold it in the physical. Our thoughts and words make us. Why do you think the devil or the flesh cant tempt you to eat a snake or a caterpillar? Its because youve firmly built in your mind and thoughts that a snake or caterpillar are not edible things. Since this is your inbuilt thought, even the devil wont bother tempting you to do it. He knows he will be merely wasting his time! Now no sinful behaviour or habit can reign in my life. Why? Because I know the truth and its build in my mind that Im the righteousness of God; my core nature is righteousness of Christ and not sin or evil.

Whatever sinful wave of temptation the devil or the flesh brings, it soon or later crumbles on the solid rock of Christ righteousness build in my thought life. Praise the Lord! This is faith and its what creates realities. One of the most successful and fruitful Christians of all time, Apostle Paul, lived by the mentality that: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Gal. 2:20). Apostle Paul considered himself dead, and Christ instead living in and through him, based on Gods word which says, We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life (Rom. 6:4). While most people were looking at themselves in their physical state as caterpillars, given their physical limitations, environment and state, Paul instead saw himself in the light of what Gods word said about him. Paul saw himself as a butterfly who could fly; and as a might warrior who could do all things through Christ, who strengthens him (Phil. 1:13). He saw himself as a person who in all things was more than a conqueror through Jesus (Rom. 8:37). No wonder, Apostle Paul turned out to be one of the greatest Christians of all time. As a person thinks so is he! Whatever you want to be in life, after prayer and based on Gods word, count yourself to have become or attained it; count yourself to have become healthy, wealthy, righteous, strong, wise, lucky, successful, and victorious in that area - and you will attain it, in Jesus name. Count yourself no one else (other than God) will count you to be it, for many people are blind in spiritual truths and realities. Reckoning or counting yourself what God reckons or counts you to be is great faith. And nothing honours and is rewarded by God like faith in Him and His word.

Chapter 6 Keep feeling it!


Another important element of winning faith is our feelings. If you won an international award that carries with it a good amount of money, even before you physically receive the money, you know it is yours. Joy is written all over you and people who see you can recognize from face that something good has happened to your life! Someone who was very poor, starving and who had lost weight may start regaining weight, although that person has not yet touched any money yet or eaten anything different from his usual crumbs! That is the feeling of believing the money is already yours; the feeling of believing that you will now be able to afford all that you need; the feeling that youve received. A mere feeling can thus change our physical outlook. One of the ways of manifesting Gods spiritual blessings into the physical realm is not only to think you have got what you prayed for, but also to feel that you have it. Thoughts require a supply of power to activate them and make them creative. This power is supplied through our feelings. These put fuel into our thoughts. When we water our thoughts with feelings, they become an attracting and creative force. Think about the benefits of attaining your goal and the pleasure its going to bring you. This awakens feelings. When you do that, you are activating your faith. Heaven will then powerfully move all circumstances, people, and events to ensure that according to your faith it is done to you." Your belief that you have it already, based on the integrity of Gods word, together with that feeling of it, produce explosive power! It will cause it to happen. How it will happen, how the heaven will bring it to you, is not your concern or job. Leave it to God. A

receiving frequency is a feeling frequency. Nurture feelings of having received it, and such feelings will give birth to physical reality. Having believed that youve received it, try to pulsate, as someone put it, the feeling of having received it. Like our thoughts, our feelings place a demand or claim on the things we need, by feeling and believing that they are ours. Like we attract what we think, we also attract what we feel, based on Gods word. When we do this, the Holy Spirit in our spirit will move circumstances, people and events for us to receive what we feel in God for us. The Holy Spirit will cause things in the world to rearrange themselves to make happen what you asked God for, and which you believe you received from Him. A belief combined with a feeling is greatest power. We need to mix our thoughts and words with feelings. Feelings are important in receiving, for they are seeds of faith. Ask the Holy Spirit to release within and flood your soul with feelings of being rich, healthy, strong, righteous, victorious whatever you have prayed for and believe God for. Believing is seeing; feeling is receiving. When we feel good, were in the frequency of what we want. If you only believe something, and youve no feelings about it, then you may take longer to see it, for you are lacking the very important power to attract it in your life. Try to feel it. Many Christians believe that God exists everywhere, but they dont feel His presence (except may be during a special annointed Sunday morning service). As a result, they miss the wonderful experience of those believers who deliberately send out feelers, wherever they are, and tap into Gods presence.
Faith or beliefs without feelings rarely produce a positive result. Thats why the Bible tells us not only to believe that we are sinners, but also to mourn our sin (Matt. 5:3). Why? Because, thoughts (of sinfulness) in the head that are not accompanied by feelings (of sorrow, regret, sense of loss) dont produce change (repentance). Even the devil knows well himself that he is a terribly wicked sinner, but he has never repented. Why? Because he only knows it in his head; it is not in his heart. Just like us Christians, the Bible says, the devils also believe (that there is one God) and even tremble (Jam. 2:19). So we might say that the devils are also some sort of believers, strange as that might sound. Satan knows that Jesus is the Son of the Most High God (Lk. 8:28), and agrees with the truth that Jesus is Lord and Saviour Jesus I know (Acts 19:15 ) . But if the devil believes in Jesus in such a wonderful way, why isnt he saved? It takes more than beliefs or head knowledge to get saved or changed in any way. We also need feelings. If belief was all that one needed to get results, the devil would have been the first being to get saved, because he knew Jesus before any human being did. It takes more than beliefs to pull Gods blessings from the heavily realms. Many Christians believe God in their head for the things they pray for, but the Bible says For with the heart man believes (Rom. 10:10). Beliefs that produce results are heartfelt beliefs; they are made up of feelings, which feelings are then confessed and then results are produced. Feelings are spiritual rivers of living water flowing from the depth of our hearts and which move everything in their path! Ask the Holy Spirit to produce in you strong positive feelings about the things youve have prayed to God about, and you shall get them sooner than later!

Never send out negative thoughts or feelings! Our negative thoughts and feelings only return to harm us! Why? Because Gods laws operating in the universe say what we sow or give out is what we get back; and the measure in which we sow or give it out is the measure in which we receive it back (Gal. 6:7-8; Lk. 6:38). Dont send out any negative thoughts or feelings against someone, even if he is a corrupt or wicked

leader or person. Negative thoughts send out signals of fear, discouragement, frustration, bitterness, all of which are signals of lack of faith. We direct our negative feelings at people and circumstances that have disappointed or let us down, instead of sending out positive and creative signals of trust, hope and faith in God, the Maker and Controller of all things. Dont allow your mind to think negative thoughts and feelings, for by sending or sowing out seeds of negativity, you will reap negative fruits! The more we complain, the more we draw into our life more negative situations for us to complain about. The more we listen to negative, complaining or angry people, the more we catch their spirit. Dont complain against people or leaders. All leaders or people, however wicked they are, rule or live under the watchful eye of God. If God decides that they leave, they will not stay a second longer. All change and every good thing comes from Him. Our positive thoughts and feelings are faith signals, and as such, they attract these blessings. Our negative thoughts and feelings are signals of fear, and as such, they attract the things we fear or feel negatively about. Positive thoughts and feelings draw from Gods infinite supply of goodness. When we send out signals of faith, heaven is pleased and arranges things to ensure that the perfect people, circumstances, and events are put in place to deliver to us the blessings we prayed for. Feel good about people and things around you, however bad they might be; for this is the only way to attract good and change the bad around you. The universe understands our feelings, more than our thoughts, someone observed. Ask God for whatever you want; believe that youve received it in spirit; then do receive it and feel good about it; then you will see it. Feeling good is the frequency of receiving. Through-out the day, try to feel like youve it now. Feelers attract the objects to which we direct them to. Most of the time when the things we want are delayed, we are frustrated and disappointed and become doubtful. These are negative feelings; beware of them! They are spoilers, as they only fuel unbelief, which will only serve to prevent your blessing from manifesting. Never allow seeds of frustration, bitterness, anger, hatred, resentment and discouragement to get lodged within you. They will give birth to more negative happenings in your life! With the help of the Lords Spirit, replace such negative feelings with positive feelings of hope, love, joy, expectancy, which quietly say I dont know how, but I feel its on its way. Ask the Holy Spirit to inspire such positive feelings in you, and He will. One of the shortest cuts to what we want from God is to be and feel happy about it now. Dont allow circumstances to drag you down along. If the situation or outlook is gloomy, discouraging, unpromising, dont allow it to drag you down along with it. David was 17 years old when he was annointed to be king; yet he did not take the throne, until he was 30! Despite his being faithful and doing everything as best as he could, for 13 years David saw no sign of God's promise coming to pass. David fought the same negative thoughts that we do; thoughts that say: "It's not going to happen;" "You didn't hear from God;" "Where will it [money, child, spouse, job, etc.] ever come from?", etc. But during those times when such winds of doubt, discouragement and negative reports tried to steal his hope; when it seemed like he wasn't getting any closer to seeing his dream come true; when he was greatly distressed, (distress is another negative emotion and feeler), David would replace such thoughts and feelings and encouraged himself in the Lord his God (1 Sam. 30:6). He would say, I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" (Ps. 27:13)!

Another man of God, Job, in moments of trial, pain and suffering said: I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth (Job 19:25). In the end He will not abandon me, forget me ! Thats a wonderful feeler, which the heat-seeking missile of the Holy Spirit cant fail to locate and follow through. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Often you wont find that many good people around to encourage you. Instead, as Job found, people will be saying of you He is finished; Didnt we foresee his downfall? In Jesus, we have the power to create our own realities, to shape our circumstances and destiny. We are co-creators with and in Him. We dont have to go down the drain with every negative report, condition and circumstances around us. Send through and out those powerful signals and feelings of victory, success, triumph, and breakthrough, whatever it is that you want from the Heavenly Kingdom. We always attract not only what we believe, think, speak and imagine, but also what we feel. Its not for nothing that God put feelings in us. They are creative energies designed to bring about desired outcomes in our lives. If you always feel discriminated, victimized, unloved or sad, you are likely to attract the same happenings in your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you out bad and negative feelings. Above all, always try to be in and feel the presence of the Lord wherever you are. His presence will, in turn, attract those blessings you want from heaven for Wherever the Lord's Spirit is, there is freedom (Ps. 81:10).

Feel good! Feel good; feeling good is godly, for God is good. The more we feel good the more we will attract the good things of God. The devil is bad. If we allow negative feelings, we draw the negative things of the devil. Feelings are so important that a non-believer who feels good about himself can achieve more success in this life than a believer who feels bad about himself. Thats why the most tragic aspect of sin are the feelings of guilt and unworthiness that sin causes in the depth of our hearts. Adam felt so bad after sinning that he even lost any sense of repentance. Judas felt so devastated after betraying Jesus that his feelings attracted a spirit of suicide that took away his life. Never allow any bad feelings to flow within the depth of your heart. When you are feeling bad or down, change it immediately by turning that feeling into a prayer over that situation, and believing that it has been done, as you have prayed. If you think unkind thoughts about that person, you will experience those unkind thoughts manifested in your life! God had a very good reason to tell us to forgive those who wrong us. Its not that by forgiving them we let them off the hook; no God will still punish them, unless they repent. But by forgiving them, we set ourselves off the poisonous hook of bitterness and anger. Our anger hurts us more than others. If someone has annoyed you so much, ask the Holy Spirit to flow with feelings of love and forgiveness towards that person. There is no greater power in the universe than the power of love.

Chapter 6 Keep visualizing or imagining it!


As you think, speak and feel about positive things youve prayed for and are awaiting to manifest, also go a little further and visualize them. Visualizing is the process of creating pictures in your mind and seeing our future now. This is imagination, and an important element of faith. Because many Christians lack imagination, many have failed to create or bring into manifesting those things that God has otherwise already blessed them with in the spirit. Joseph the dreamer saw himself as a great leader, and his brothers kneeling before him, long before he could even be sold into Egyptian exile, where he later became a leader, just second to Pharaoh. See yourself driving yourself in that dream car, sleeping in that dream house; dressed in that dress, occupying that position, doing that work, or whatever else you want from God. Seeing is getting. If you can keep a vivid picture of what you want and have prayed to God for, youll see it in reality. Keep a picture or vision in your mind of what youve prayed for and what you are awaiting from God. See it as happening now, and you will get it. The Bible says in Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no vision, the people perish. Without a vivid or clear picture or imagination of what we expect from God, we remain creatively sterile; we dont undertake the necessary actions to bring it into physical existence. The Lord says, Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it (Hab. 2:2). Why write it and make it plain?

So that you can focus on and pursue it. Unless we focus on something, we wont be able to bring it into manifestation, for we will not drive towards it. We perish or dont achieve great things in life, we dont bring into manifestation the blessings of God that are in the spiritual realm, simply because we are not focused on and drive towards them. Im told that only 3% of the people are willing to write down things they want or have prayed for. It is no accident that only 3% of the population hold most of the wealth of this world. We shouldnt complain that it doesn't seem fair for Gods wealth to be distributed so unevenly, if we are not willing to practice the principles that honest wealthy practice. Set yourself apart from the masses who dont write down and focus on anything. Paint a picture of Gods blessing (or purpose/will for your life) and let it so grip you that you will not let it go. You will see it come to pass, in Jesus name! Of course the enemy of our soul will always try his level best to make us see nothing, or better still for him, to make you see negative pictures, or a negative future, rather than the positive things you prayed for and which God wants you to bring into manifestation. Keep resisting and dismissing the negative pictures the enemy brings to your mind; and he will give up on you. When you or your child is sick, for example, the enemy wants you visualize yourself or your child as dead. Some people start visualizing or imagining themselves going all about the burial activities and the like. Others visualize themselves being divorced, crippled, old and helpless. Others visualize themselves failing to pay their debts and going to prison! Never entertain such negative pictures in your mind. When they come to mind, immediately replace them with positive pictures. Picture yourself as healthy and vibrant. Picture your marriage as blossoming. See your business prospering. See your life or ministry rising from glory to glory regardless of the currently unpleasant environment or circumstances in which your life, marriage, business, family, children, work, might be in. Imagination is creative faith, and it pleases God. Just as it happened to Job, what we fear or picture in our mind is what we are likely to see or experience in our life; for we will always attract the things we visualize or imagine. The enemy will daily try to bring negative pictures in your mind, so that they can become a reality in your life; but its your responsibility to rub them off your mind, immediately the enemy starts painting them on it. We are told to use divine power to demolish strongholds arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge [word] of God, and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). This simply means subordinating every negative or deceptive thought to what God says. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you in this, for without His help we are powerless to resist the forces of nature. Through-out the day, let your mind create only those pictures you want to see happening in your life, and they will. Whatever our mind can conceive, our life will produce! Every day, close your eyes and visualize those good things you prayed for, as if they have already happened in your life, and thank God for them; and they will happen. The signals we emit through our thoughts, words and visions are often what bring about the reality we find ourselves in. The more badly we need something good, the more signals we need to send out. If you want to become rich or healthy, daily send out to Heaven many signals of abundant wealth and health that God says are yours in Christ Jesus. See Gods abundant health and wealth, in the place of ill-health, poverty and debts.

When an earthquake swept the nation of Haiti recently, I did not see blocks of devastation and destruction that CNN and TV networks were beaming across the world every second. I instead saw bigger, taller and better skyscrapers standing in places that were previously filled with poor houses! When I recently checked my bank statement and I noticed that I had just less than 100,000/= remaining on it, I did not see or smell bankruptcy knocking on the door. Beyond it, I saw billions of shillings coming along the way to swallow up the apparently empty space. What are you seeing in your situation? You will get it; you will attract whatever you visualize long enough, in Jesus name. Jesus was always seeing a different picture from that the people who were with Him were seeing. Instead of seeing dead people, He saw people who were merely sleeping. Instead of seeing weak and powerless people, Jesus instead saw " mighty warriors" (Judges 6:12). Instead of seeing dry and dead bones in the valley, Jesus instead saw a valley teaming with strong, healthy and prosperous people (Ez. 37). And whatever He pictured in His mind, it soon or later became tangible reality. So shall it be to you and me, if we repeatedly paint such faith pictures in situations where there is apparent sickness and death, poverty and debts, failure and stagnation, hopelessness and nothing. Any one who wants to be as creative and as successful as Jesus was in this life should think, speak and look at things, just like Jesus Himself would. Always ask yourself How would Jesus look, think, and speak of this situation (of weakness, sickness, poverty, debt, failure, stagnation, fruitlessness, etc) - and then do exactly what Jesus would do under those circumstances. Paint or see a positive picture out of whatever crisis or situation you are in, and that positive image will become a reality, in Jesus name. Dont look at unpaid bills on top of your table and see yourself being disconnected by the National water or electricity authorities! Instead see an empty table cleared of all bills on Jesus account; sooner than later, the table will truly be empty. We will always experience our life thoughts and pictures. The outside world around us is just a world of effects, for what is seen was not made out of what was visible (Heb. 11:3). Success comes from within our minds, from the Christian beliefs, thoughts, words, and visions that grip us. If you hadnt yet, Im sure youve now got this point. Praise the Lord! Do you want to create new pathways, instead of repeatedly running along the same track of life without any breakthroughs? Are you fed up with continuing to produce repetitive, boring and less stimulating work for the primary concern of paying schools fees for children and water and electricity bills at home? Then stretch out your creative imagination. Christs Spirit within us (who received Him as our Lord and Saviour) is the fountain of all Divine inspirations and riches. As the Indian, the Atlantic and other oceans teem with infinite forms of life, so does our recreated or born-again spirit teem with Christs infinite riches and magical solutions to all problems and challenges of life. Through out history, greatly successful people are people of great faith and creative imagination. They looked beyond their five senses (of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste) and beyond the negative circumstances and environment around them; they looked beyond what they didnt have and focused on the positive, the good, and the greater things that God could do in, with, through and for their lives. They did this on a consistent and persistent basis, and by so doing, they attracted success; it was done according to their faith. They achieved. Indeed the most successful - and yes - the happiest of people that ever lived, they totally mastered just a few things. That mastery in just a few

areas of life gave them the success, freedoms and joy that few people will ever know. Why few? Because few people want to work hard enough to master anything. Every person lives within a certain circle of possibilities, created by his or her own experiences, thoughts, beliefs, understanding and environment. But we need to step out and beyond a limited circle, by thinking big. Rise above your environment and limiting thoughts. People who have achieved success in life thought big, in unlimited ways. They envisioned a larger and fuller life, irrespective of their actual life conditions, environment and limitations. If you desire change in your life, free your mind from limiting thoughts, and take God for His word. Visualize continuously that you are already healthy, wealthy, righteous, an investor, a great soul-winner, a fruitful disciple of Christ or whatever else you want to be, based on Gods word. A habitually developed repeat process will create the realities youve built into your mind. As a result, we will attract and encounter circumstances and attributes that will make us that very thing, which will help us attain our goals. The dominating thoughts and pictures we hold in our minds are magnets that attract to us the forces, the people, and the circumstances of life which harmonize with the nature of our thoughts. The thoughts we most often think and the pictures we paint in our minds create the circumstances and events for our life. If by repeatedly visualizing and calling himself a father of many people, as Gods word said about him, Abraham actually became a father of many, why not you and I, about what Gods word says about us and our life situations? Be consistent and persistent in your efforts. Write your specific goal on a piece of paper and read it over and over again in your mind, through out the day. Imagination can be developed and sustained like any other skill, by constantly exercising it everyday. As we develop our body through physical exercise, we can develop our creative power of imagination through regular mental exercises. Imagination has extraordinary capacity to shape reality. Have a God-sized vision. Small thinking leads to small living. If youre really a believer who says you serve a big God, count on Him to do equally big things in your life. This is putting convictions to our beliefs. Wherever you go, you will find some people or circumstances that will try to discourage you from rising to your ultimate heights, by infecting you with fear and doubts, saying its not possible, there is no money or some other needed resources to accomplish the task or mission. Whenever you think of starting something good, everything in your environment will start shouting limitations, lack, obstacles. All doors will look closed all around you. Instead of paying attention and looking at your surroundings, keep your eyes on your Lord, the God of all possibilities. Set our minds on things above, not on things on earth (Col. 3:1-2). But much of our focus and thinking, while perhaps not evil, is nonetheless spent on trivial, small things, or on the environment or limitations around us. Dont waste your time and life that way. The supreme focus of our attention and adoration should be the awesome Creator, who lives in us by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. We should never allow ourselves to be self- or environmental conscious. We should choose, instead, to be God- or Christ conscious all the time. Tune in to the Holy Spirit all day and night. Think about His presence, His power, His works, His goodness, His possibilities, His providence, His grace, His mighty works, His glory.

Chapter 7 Keep thanking God for it!


If someone tells you that whatever youve just asked of me in your prayer, I have granted it to you; its being processed and very soon it will be in your hands, (just to paraphrase what Jesus says in Mark. 11:24), what else would you say to such a person? Will you continue telling Him, give me, give me? Definitely not; you would instead keep saying, Thank you, thank you, thank you very much ! Thanking God adds nothing to Him really; but its the logical thing to say to anyone who has granted you your request or prayer. Thanking God is another powerful creative tool that moves angelic forces to get to us what we want. By saying thank you Lord, you are not only telling the angels that Here I am to receive from heaven, you are also acknowledging to Heaven that you know you have already received in spirit, even though physically you havent yet touched it. An attitude of gratitude takes us to a higher altitude. Continuous thanksgiving leads to continuous breakthroughs and converts spiritual blessings into physical realities. Keep thanking the Lord for the things you prayed for, even if you have not yet seen them with your physical eyes. Whatever we think and thank God about, we bring about! There are so many things going apparently wrong in our society, nations, churches, organization and homes. Indeed an ordinary person has so many things to complain about; but complaining about something is the best way to feed its continued existence. Shift your spiritual energy from whats going wrong around and start thanking God because its going to get right in Jesus name!

Thank God even for things that are apparently going wrong around you, for this is the best way to change them. Great winners in Gods Kingdom are great forward-lookers. With the foresight of faith, they look beyond the immediate chaos and negative happenings around them to the great good that is possible, and they thank God for it. Even if they had not yet seen the things God had promised, but from a long way off they saw them and welcomed them (Heb. 11:13). Be grateful to God for everything. Whatever we daily thank God for, we bring about. Living with an attitude of gratitude, despite everything happening around us, is the best way to bring about what we want in life. Appreciation to God attracts the good things of God. Say Thank you Lord for everything you need in life, because in Jesus, God has already provided it to you. Keep expecting it! The Bible says theres a person who looks in a mirror and sees himself as he is ... and then goes away and at once forgets what he looks like (Jam. 1:23-24). Some Christians are like that. They pray, but before they have got hold of what they have prayed for, they forget all about it. They are like the Ostrich, which lays its eggs in the sand and abandons them there to hatch by themselves, if they will, and when they desire! But people who receive most from God are those who diligently seek and wait upon God in expectancy. The more casually you treat your prayers and God's words or promises, the more you miss the things God is longing to give you. Wait on God with the expectancy of a watchman. A watchman does not know the time the thief will strike; he might strike in the early or the late hours of the night, or even during day time. Whatever time he strikes, he must find him ready. So must a believer. A certain sister who was unable to conceive for a long time decided to make one final prayer to God for a baby. After praying, in faith she went to the market and started shopping for her expected baby a boy. As she made room to receive her hearts desire, she was sending out a powerful signal of expectation. She gave birth to a bouncing baby-boy! People who dont expect to receive from God rarely receive from Him. The best way to tap into God's power of changing things is to expect Him to move. An expectant attitude is a powerful spiritual force that triggers victory and breakthroughs in every area of life. Expectancy is a mark of faith which pleases God a lot, for God loves to bless hungry and thirsty people: For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants (Is. 44:3). Jesus asks only of one thing: If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink (Jn. 7:37). Are you hungry, are you thirsty? Are you eagerly yearning to hear or receive from God? If so, you are the perfect candidate for Divine blessings, and very soon God will bring your blessing from the spirit world into tangible reality and fill you! He says: Open wide your mouth and I will fill it (Ps. 81:10). Pray! It's through hunger and thirst that we see Gods demonstration of power - power to heal, to deliver, power to set us free. Keep thirsting and hoping to be filled by God every day. We are told to be "prisoners of hope." It's the prisoners of hope that get a double-portion of God's blessing (Zech. 9:12). Daily expect an extra-ordinary God to do extra-ordinary things in your life -- to heal you, to prosper you, to deliver you from anything that oppresses you. There's no supply where there's no demand. Our expectations place a demand on God's power to flow in our lives and change situations. There's no delivery without a pregnancy - it's that miracle we expect that we get. Its what fills our mind in

terms of expectation that we actually deliver or give birth to. After praying to God, and believing that God had given it to you in spirit, have an expectant attitude. Expectancy and hope are marks of faith; and faith is our connector and "access" route (Rom. 5:2) to everything we receive from God. It's also what gives God access to our lives. People who expect nothing often get nothing. In the world of the spirit, it's always "according to your faith be it done unto you" (Matt. 9:22,29; Matt. 8:13). But expectant hearts greatly delight Jesus, for He says: those who stay at my door everyday, waiting at the entrance to my home will be happy (Prov. 8:34). Such are hungry and seeking people, and they are the ones that God blesses. Our heartfelt desire connects us with the things that we desire, and then expectation draws them into our life. Daily be filled with hope and expectancy, and it will give birth to what you want.

Chapter 8 Being on the receiving frequency


A lot of us daily to pray to God, but are we on the receiving frequency in terms of our thoughts, words, feelings, imaginations, expectations and actions? Before you can receive anything in life, you must be at the right frequency, at the right place, and in the right disposition or posture. You cant be looking backwards and yet receive something coming from forward. You must be at the right frequency. We miss so many of Gods blessings, simply because were not on the frequency of receiving from Him; we are wrongly placed or positioned. We are trying to make things happen, which things God has already made happen. Were not on the same frequency with Him. He has already given us in spirit what we prayed for, yet we are on a backward frequency of doubting whether we received or not. We are looking backwards, when actually what we are trying to get is already given and is ahead of us. This way we miss it. Dont look for the living among the dead! Its hard to receive from God, unless one is on the frequency of receiving it, unless one is positioned in ones thoughts to receive. You cant tap water from the upper end of a gutter; youve got to tap it from the lower end of the gutter where its flowing. Know the importance of correct positioning in trying to look for and manifesting Gods blessings in your life. We tend to spend a lot of our time in search of life and Heavenly blessings but in wrong or dead places. The angels asked the disciples, Why do you look for the living among the dead? (Lk. 24:5). It wasnt wrong for Mary Magdalene to search for Jesus. But Jesus and the prophet of long ago had all said Jesus would be raised after three days (the

same way He said for whatever we pray to God for, we should believe that we have received it). The Angels question is important because it goes to the heart of our Christian faith. Bad things, for example, happen in this world but never spend your time or life agonizing over the bad things that happened. Always think positive, always look forward and up. This is the mentality of a person who is risen with Christ. He or she keeps looking high and forward, not down or behind. This exactly is what Angel of God told the disciples looking into the grace, " He has risen from the dead and is going haed of you into Galilee. There you will see him (Matt. 28:7). There are places (or positions, attitudes, disposition of the mind) in life where we cant see God, where you cant find His provision or deliverance, simply because He is not there. If God says, He has already taken away our unrighteousness by Himself becoming it and giving us His righteousness; or if He says He has taken away our poverty, by His becoming poor and giving us His riches; or that by His stripes weve been healed -- then it becomes very hard to find these blessings as long as we are still holding to and looking for them in wrong positions; positions that hold that God hasnt given us these things yet. No matter how earnestly you ask a person who has already given you his shirt to give it to you again, he simply will not be able to, for he cant give what he has already given! Jesus lives and works among the living - those with living faith in what He has already achieved for them. Open up to the higher reality, by the assurance that Christ died and rose up for us, and that in His death and resurrection, He overcame the powers of sin, death, poverty, sickness, and paid every form of debt; and that in Him,
we have complete victory in every area. In the Book of Galatians, Paul refers to this as "freedom, total freedom. That is the kind of spirit which wins in Gods Kingdom. It is a Spirit which will not be defeated by any negative circumstances or events, for it already has complete victory in all these things, through Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:37). A person who is a more-than-conqueror in a given area ca never be conquered in that same area. We need to always be positioned in an attitude of gratitude, because our blessing or prayer request is already released. If you havent got hold of it yet physically, it is because its still being processed by Gods angels; its coming your way any time soon. Always say, Thank you Lord Jesus, its coming my way. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you be in a position where you are meant to see God, where you are meant to receive from Him. If we are to set the forces of the universe (the Angels of God) to deliver from Heaven what God has given us, if we want heaven to realign forces in the world, to touch and shape people and events to meet our needs, we need to think and behave the way we want it to go, not the way its in the physical circumstances. The whole point here is that our faith needs to be fed, in order to produce results. The more spiritual energy or life force - in terms of feelings, words, confessions, declarations, imaginations, visions - you inject in your faith, the quicker you obtain results. Godliness with contentment = great gain [success] The Bible says in Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. We need to pray and make supplications or petitions to God so that our requests are officially made known to God. But after your request are already officially known to somebody you trust, what do you? Do you continue making the same requests again and again or do you just politely remind that that person about the request which is already in his hand? And if that person is God who cant forget, then reminding Him, even politely, doesnt sound very reasonable to me. Giving Him

real thanks and breaking every force that might be obstructing my request sounds more reasonable to me. Thanking or worshipping God during the period of gestation (or when our prayer-request is being processed) is our most powerful weapon as believers. It ushers in our blessing. "Thanksgiving" is a faith attitude of spiritual contentment, for "godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Tim. 6:6). If one cant be spiritually content when the answer to ones prayer has not yet come, its a sign one is lacking in faith; and such a person is likely to remain discontented for long, because he is thinking discontentment. Many Christians, even after praying, live with an attitude that There's always something else we've got to have, We are lacking, poor or in need of this and that thing. As a result, we continue to see those things we believe. After prayer or making your petitions or needs or requests known to God, be on the receiving, rather than on the asking end. Constant thanksgiving promotes contentment. Godly contentment without anxiety is one of the best signals that one is prepared to receive what he prepared for. The devil, who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, has robbed many of us of a lot of blessings, simply because he has a reasonable ground to do so; we emit out his favourite signal of a discontented soul and he follows it through. Discontentment is lack of faith and trust in the power and faithfulness of God to do what he said he would do. Show spiritual contentment after you have petitioned God, continually giving thanksgiving. Spend as much time in worshiping God while you wait for your petition to be answered as you would spend in praising and adoring Him, after youve actually touched what you prayed for. Finally here and cant overemphasize this - praise and bless the Lord for what He has given you, even before you can see it physically. One dictionary defines blessing as invoking divine favour and conferring well-being or prosperity. Praise and bless God for everything in your life. When you are praising or blessing the Lord, you are on the highest frequency of loving God. There is no higher frequency of receiving than the frequency of loving God. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them (1 Jn. 4:16). Where God lives there is everything we need. Praise and bless Him. For many believers, the only time they have praised and blessed God was when they had physically received what they prayed for. But more blessed are believers who praised and bless God long before they have physically received what they prayed for. Praising and blessing dissolves all negativity that would block your blessing from manifesting in your life. Daily and through out the day, invoke the power of praising and blessing God for everything. When you are praising God for something, you are giving love, and as you send that most

wonderful frequency, it will return to you a hundred-fold!

Chapter 9 Give and give - and you shall receive and receive!
One of the best receiving frequencies is the giving frequency. Any one who wants to receive anything from God should start giving out something in Gods name! Many believers get nothing from the heavenly realms simply because they are sending up nothing. One of the major laws and principles operating in Gods kingdom is that of Giving and Receiving; Sowing and Reaping. Sowing = reaping. Giving = Receiving. The best way to receive from the Heaven is to give. God knows better when He tells us many times in the Bible that we should give. Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you (Lk. 6:38). Why does giving bring more to those who give? The attitude of a giver is a positive thought, an act or seed of faith. The Bible says, Some people give freely, yet they gain even more; others withhold unduly, but they come to poverty. Be generous and you will be prosperous. Help others and you will be helped (Prov. 11:24-25). People who give have big faith; they dont believe they are poor. They have a mentality which says, I have plenty in Christ Jesus; Im not poor, Im rich; I can share what I have and still remain with something. An abundance of money is coming my way; my God is not poor. As they think (rich) in their hearts so they become (rich). But people who say, I have too little; Ive nothing; I dont have enough such mean or stingy people come to poverty, for as they think in their hearts so are they. They draw to themselves the too little and the nothing spirit they confess. Thats why Jesus says that people who have a nothing or too little poverty-mentality, people who says they have little or nothing, even the little they have will be taken away from them: I tell

you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away (Lk. 19:26). You now get the point? Have an attitude of I have, and not one of I have nothing. The too little which a person thinks he has will be taken away and given to that person who thinks he already has, for as a person thinks so is he. We attract what we think. The poverty and scarcity and lack that person confesses will draw even more poverty and scarcity and lack in his life. The riches the rich person confesses and gives out freely will draw even more riches to him. As those who think they are rich give out, Heaven opens up and floods vast amounts of money and other riches back into their lives, multiplied many times. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed (Prov. 11:25). He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done (Prov. 19:17). A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed (Prov. 11:25). We receive back whatever we give or send out. If one often thinks and says, Im poor; Im broke; I dont have enough money, and so one doesnt give out money for Gods causes, now one knows the reason why one perhaps is still poor, broke and lacking enough money! Change your thinking and vocabulary today and your life will too change! As a person thinks and speaks so is he. We cant live above our mentalities or attitudes. Whenever thoughts of scarcity come to your mind, dismiss them and give out cheerfully. Then the forces of heaven will make sure you receive much more - A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you (Lk. 6:38). Note that the Bible tells us to give out cheerfully (2 Cor. 9:7) and not with a sorrowful, grudging scarcity mentality that says Oh, Ive given out the only money I had; Im finished; Im left with nothing. Such a scarcity mentality will only attract more scarcity and lack. A cheerful giver says, Poverty doesnt know my address; In Jesus name I give and I will give more; Im not yet done - for I know I cant out-give Almighty God, Jehovah Jireh (God the Provider), Jehovah El Shaddai (the God of more than enough)! When weve this kind of faith in God and were generous about money or any other resources, and we feel good about sharing them in Jesus name and for His causes, we will draw even more resources from heaven, for God rewards confident faith like this. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded (Heb. 10:35). Why do you think our European and American brethren are rich and we Africans are seemingly poor? Its partly because the former seem to think they are rich, and demonstrate it through generous giving; whereas the later seem to think they are poor and demonstrate it by mostly being more eager to receive than to give. Never in your thoughts, words or actions should you ever send out signals in the sprit world that you are poor or in lack; for you will always attract what you feel or think. In Gods Kingdom (where you already are, if you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour) there is no poverty, scarcity or lack. There are only riches, and if were to draw riches from the spiritual realm of Gods Kingdom into our physical world, we must think, speak, do and believe only as God does. The tithe-curse! Why do you think the Bible says those who dont tithe are under the curse (Mal. 3:8-10)? Does God curse? If we believers cant curse our own child, for any reason, much less would God curse His children for whom He lovingly sacrificed His Son. But God will not change

the unalterable laws that govern the universe. People who dont tithe can attract the curse of poverty from the universe, simply because they feel the money they have from which to tithe is not enough to meet their needs, if they tithed on it. By so doing, they attract the spirit of not enough, for as a person thinks so is he. If one doesnt tithe, because one believes one doesnt have enough money to be able to tithe and remain with enough to meet ones other needs, one will always not have enough money to meet their needs, for its always according to your faith be it done unto you. The feeling of not having enough, the feeling of scarcity naturally follows after those who harbour it; they draw scarcity and lack. Its not God who curses non tithers. God is too good and merciful to curse His own beloved child! But as a God of the order of the Universe who changes not, He wont interfere or act against the spiritual laws He Himself put in place from the very foundation of the world to guide the operations of the Universe. Its peoples own thinking and feeling of not having enough that draws to them the spirit or curse of lack or of not having enough. By advising us to tithe, God was merely helping us to avert attracting the curse of lack. You get it? And why do you think God tells us not only to tithe, but also to bring the full or whole tithe (Mal. 3:10)? Its because a person who gives less than the full amount has fear that if he gave the full amount, he would be left without enough money to meet his other needs. This feeling or fear of not having enough will then attract the spirit or curse of scarcity or not having enough. These are deep spiritual truths God put in the Bible, and which we daily read, but unless the Holy Spirit switches the light of understanding on them for you, you can read them for 100 years without understanding their spiritual depth and purpose. We would just wonder why God is so hard on us and our finances? But God is not hard on you and your finances; He is just being hard on the cursed spirit of poverty, scarcity and lack (Deuteronomy 28), which He doesnt want us to attract. Some Christians, in order to avoid it all, even dismiss such scriptures as Malachi 3, saying they are irrelevant to the New Testament dispensation. They say that they were applicable only to the Old Testament generation as if a principle dies or goes with a generation! Why did the Old Testament Law of love not go away with the Old Testament? Why do you think Gods promises are not fulfilled in the lives of many Christians?
God, for example, said we would lend and not borrow, but many cant live without borrowing! He said that we would be blessed in the city and in villages, but many dont look anywhere near being blessed. God said we would be the head and not the tail, but many are actually live like the wretched of the earth. After years of prayer and Holy Spirit-guided search; searching for reasons why Gods promises are not fulfilled in the lives of many believers; why many believers are poor and in debt, despite having the richest Father in the Universe, and one who promises to meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19), Ive discovered some deep spiritual truths. Many tithers have not realized Gods promises to a tither, simply because they are insecure about their finances. We are insecure tithers. We sometimes give the full tithe, but other times, we feel or think we dont have enough money to meet our current needs, and so do not tithe at all, or give less than the full tithe. We fear that if we gave the full tithe, in the midst of our other current needs, we would not be able to meet our other obligations and needs. Just as it happened to Job, what we fear (scarcity/lack) comes to haunt us. We continue to attract the scarcity, the lack and the insufficiency we fear or harbour deep within the depth of our hearts.

Mark the principle behind giving or sending out anything. God doesnt really need our sacrificial offerings in form of tithes and offerings. He says: I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it (Ps. 55:9-12). A key principle behind tithing and giving offerings is for God to help us be free from the curse of poverty and lack that follow after a stingy, miserly, lack mentality. Whenever you give cheerfully, youre in effect saying, I have, and as you think (that you have), its done to you according to your faith, as you think; you get it. But whenever we fear to give, we are actually saying we dont have enough, and the result is that we end up not having enough, just as we believe or think in our hearts. The more you give the more you send out a louder faith message saying I have more/enough to give, and the more you continue to have more/enough money to give For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" (Lk. 6:38). Faith of a great measure will always fetch blessings of a great measure. God is practices no favouritism!

You have now got the truth. Practice it and you shall prosper. Ask the Holy Spirit to help root out of your heart any lingering spirit of insecurity, any mentality of poverty, scarcity, insufficiency and lack. Our outer world is a just a world of effects. Its just a result of our inner thoughts, words, and acts. Everything we see in the physical came from the world of the spirit where we dont see with our physical eyes. There is more than enough money and every kind of riches and blessings in Gods heavenly world around us, than we could ever need; and God is more than able and willing to release them to us, if only we had the correct attitude (Eph. 3:20). Its our right thoughts, words and acts that can bring Gods spiritual blessings into our physical world. Send out the right signals or thoughts into the Universe, based on Gods word, and you will bring heavenly riches down just as a boy throws a stone up a mango tree and fruits flood down! In love, give out money or other things for the good of the Gospel and for the welfare of needy people around you, in Jesus name, and youll receive even more money or whatever youve given out. Whatever goes around comes around!
One of the unchangeable principles of the universe is: "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest will never cease" (Gen. 8:22). If there must be reaping; there must have been some kind of sowing; if theres to be a harvest, something must have been planted first. Many Christians are on the receiving, repeating frequency, but there are not on the plating frequency. We cant reap where we didnt sow. The Bible says God gives seed to the sower (2 Cor. 9:10); so if you want to get or obtain anything in life, ask God to give you its seed and sow it. The principle here is that we receive back whatever we send out through our thoughts, words and actions. Thats why you are advised: Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse (Rom. 12:14). Why? Because if you bless someone who has done you wrong, you will attract spiritual blessing from Heaven; if you curse a person who has cursed you, you will attract a curse from the dark world. Whatever goes around comes around - in the same currency it was sent out. Never wish any person bad, even if he is a very bad person who in your estimation clearly deserves it!

We are also told: Do not repay anyone evil for evil Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Rom 12:

17-21). Why treat our enemy different from the way he has treated us? Its because the unalterable laws governing the Universe are such that whatever we send out, we receive it back in the same form. When Jesus said, Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" (Luke 6:38); He deliberately didnt specify what that it is. Its anything and everything we give out. And He says with the measure we use, it will be measured to us. Thats why Jesus, after saying that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mk. 11:24), He quickly adds this: And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins" (Mk. 11:25). Why? Because if you harbour anger, you attract anger, even if God Himself is not angry with you. Why should God be angry with someone who has been unfairly mistreated by someone? But God has to abide by the spiritual principles He Himself put in place to govern human life and to regulate operations in the Universe.

The scarcity, lack mentality There are two contending spiritual forces in the Universe. One of these comes to steal and kill and destroy, and the other comes to give life and life to the full (Jn. 10:10). But these are not forces of equal standing and power. I used to get upset whenever my wife or maid came to me and said we had run out of charcoal. I would ask a lot of questions or even complain of wastage, even if I had no clear evidence that the charcoal had been wasted. And I know there are many of you out there who also get out of mood, whenever your spouses or maids report to you that food, sugar, salt or paraffin are over; or that there is an electricity or water bill that needs to be cleared! Not that we should encourage wastage or avoid asking relevant questions, in the name of faith in God, but our fear of scarcity and lack, our fear of the devil who comes to steal, kill and destroy must never exceed our faith in the power of God to supply and meet our needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19). Our fears should never rise higher than our faith and trust in God Almighty to give life and to give it to the full. There is no human problem or need, there is no human error or mistake, sin or act that can ever possibly exhaust or exceed the power of Grace, the power of God to correct or heal, to restore or to address, to meet or to supply the needed resources. There is no thief that is able to steal more than what God is capable of replacing. There is nothing that can take away more than Jehovah Jireh can supply. Next time your wife or maid comes to tell you that sugar, salt or charcoal or whatever item is needed in the home, instead of frowning at her and asking all kinds of questions (as if people can consume more salt than they need to!) simply say with the confidence of a prince - Praise the Lord; our God shall supply everything required, according to His abundant riches in Christ Jesus. Then the poverty, scarcity mentality will have no way in your home. This exactly is how Abraham overcame one of the hardest demand-and-supply questions that has ever been put to a human being. Abraham had been asked by God to sacrifice his most precious loved one his only child Isaac. Yet Abraham did obey, because He loved and trusted

God, more than any other thing in life. After Abraham had travelled for three days, leading his son to an altar where he would sacrifice him to God, then the innocent child, seeing no animal to sacrifice, asked the hardest one: Father?" . The fire and wood are here," "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" I dont know how you would answer your own son, were you to be in the same situation, but Abraham answered: "God Himself will provide ." (Gen. 22:6-8). Indeed God faithfully provided - a ram - in the greatest hour of need! This ought o be the same attitude (thinking) of every believer who finds himself/herself in a situation of great need and scarcity of anything valuable in life, and it is - God will provide.

Whether you are head of a family or organization, whoever youre, in your family, ministry, church, organization, work, life, youll at times find yourself in situations of scarcity and lack, a situation where the needs apparently exceed the available resources or supplies. Always have Jesus attitude of the Lord will provide, and not the Apostles attitude of "there is no way." We cant say theres no way, when there is Jesus - the way - to every desirable thing, and the way out of every undesirable situation (Jn. 14:6)!

Always have a positive feeling that in Jesus Christ, theres a way for you out of whatever situation you find yourself in. When you reach a point where you cant seem to move, where you dont have what you feel you need to move out of and away from a nasty situation say one of unemployment, poverty, debt, lack, sickness, fruitlessness, etc,always remember that theres Jesus, the way out of every grave, the way to freedom, success, joy, fruitfulness, abundant health and wealth. To God, all things are possible. Never think about the size of your need or challenge. Its nothing to God; for He says, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me (Matt. 28:18). In your practice of the principles we are discussing in this article, you can, however, start by believing God for small things, and as your faith and trust is built up, you can start believing God for bigger things.

Chapter 10 Search for it!


One of the commonly missing elements in the faith of Gods children in receiving from Him is the element of searching for what God has given them. Many expect that once God has given them something, He will deliver it in their hands. Well, not exactly so. The other day I had lost my car and office bunch of keys in the house, just one of the many times I have done so. But because I knew the keys were lying somewhere in the house, I looked for them from every conceivable location in the house. I couldnt, however find them, and I had to leave for office without them. What I returned in the evening, I searched for them again; this time looking for them in locations I hadnt checked before. Then I found them hanging up on a nail in the bedroom. Why did I search for them so frantically and assuredly? Its because I knew they were there, lying somewhere. Seeking, knocking or searching is an act of faith that pleases God, because it springs from the belief that its there, somewhere. If you have prayed and believed that God has given it to you, the next logical step is to search for it. Its like our traditional hunters. After he has shot at a guinea foul or any other bird, he then starts searching for it. He knows he has hit it; it must be lying somewhere. This is what we are supposed to do, after praying to God and receiving in spirit what we have prayed for. We are supposed to search for it. After praying for wisdom, knowledge and understanding, we usually go ahead to diligently study, search and examine the Scriptures, amongst other sources of knowledge. But when it comes to other things, many believers after praying wait on God to deliver things into their hands. Well, God can do it, but He rarely does it. Many Christians ask God for blessings and when they dont see what they have prayed for manifesting, they conclude that God didnt grant their prayer. But God has already granted them what we requested Him to give us. All He wants them to do is to go into some kind of seeking and/or knocking mode to get hold of what He has already given them.

So, the next time you approach the Lord in prayer for something very specific, believe that He has given it to you, and then go into a seeking and/or knocking mode. Everything you do from that point on after praying should be to search for the way, to look for the solution God has supplied. Jesus didnt tell us to ask or pray for something and then wait for them to be delivered to us. He said, Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened (Lk. 11:9-13). When we ask for anything according to Gods will, He immediately gives it to us, as explained in Mark 11; but most often, to get hold of it, we need to go ahead and search for it. Often the tangible answers to your prayers will only come if you start to do some type of searching after it. If your need is a job, after going to God in prayer and after believing youve received it, instead of holding your position and just waiting for God to bring the job to you, start going into a seeking mode to try and find it. Start knocking on doors and going on interviews. If you fail an interview, simply know that was not the right job God gave you. Try another one. Your right job is somewhere. You may have to go on 7 or 8 interviews before you finally land the right job God gave you. When you get to the job God gave you, there is no force of darkness or hell that can succeed in making you miss it!
God will arrange all needed circumstances, making sure that you land at the right spot at the right time, meet the right people and get the job or whatever blessing they gave you. Recently I was trying to raise about shs. 60 m. to meet a pressing need. I decided to offer for sale some of my internet-published works; but as soon as I mooted the idea in my mind, there from came the usual voice (of the enemy of our soul, of course) saying, No one will be interested in buying those. But thank God, the victorious voice of the Lord Jesus is these days louder in me than any other voice. So I responded, Even if the materials were not saleable, I would sell them with God all things are possible. Hearing that, the other negative voice retreated, for a while. Then I prayed to God to help bring along a good buyer of those materials, and I believed he had answered my prayer. But I couldnt wait for the buyer to come and inquire from me. No one had inquired about these materials for years, and there was no reason for me to believe that someone would inquire about them even now. So I asked the Holy Spirit to lead me in the search for a prospective buyer of these materials. I started searching, seeking and knocking. I sent out mails to different people and organizations that I thought could be interested in these materials. Zero replies and No-thank-yous) kept returning to my mailbox. Then the quiet voice of the other enemy came back to my mind, saying, Didnt tell you so these materials are not saleable. I again dismissed it, and I insisted that with God, all things are possible; I can sell these materials, however bad someone may think they are. (Resist the devil and he will flee from you Jam. 4:7). I pressed on with my searching, seeking and knocking at wherever I thought the opportunity could be. I continued asking the Lords Spirit: "What individuals, companies, or government agencies can buy these materials?" Where are they? "How do I get in touch with them?" I knocked on the doors of those that could possibly be interested saying to them: "I have this and that product, can you buy or sell it?" If not, do you know someone who can?" Even a zero or negative response I still considered it a good response, because it was instructing me that my God-ordained buyers is not in that place. Im sure by the time you read this, a good buyer was already obtained, and the required money secured. Don't wait for God to magically drop answers to your prayer in your hands. With the

help of the Holy Spirit, get out of the house and find out where God has placed your blessing or breakthrough. What are you waiting God for?

Is it healing or deliverance from anything? Is it a job, a spouse, a car, a house, or whatever blessing? Search for it, with the help of the Holy Spirit. If you need a spouse or soul-mate, ask God for one and believe He has given that person to you. Thereafter dont wait for God to deliver that person into your hands. Go out and interact with people of the opposite sex, and the Lord will lead you to that very person, from amongst them. Unless the Lord tells you otherwise, go into seeking mode to find what you prayed for. God will lead you to the right job, business, house, car, or whatever youve prayed for, as you are seeking after it. Seeking or searching is a mark of faith that pleases God. Its true, for some of the things we ask God to give us, He has them set up to come into our life at a future appointed time, rather than now. But often you cant know Gods appointed time for your prayer request, until you start searching for it. You do the searching, and then the Lord will either lead you to where it is located, or tell you to wait for its appointed time. But you cant afford to sit by and wait. What if its for now? The Lord doesnt always give us a free lunch. There are times that He will require us to work, sweat and seek for whatever it is God wants to bring our way.
We need to seek to find whatever it is that God has given us. There is a price to pay for everything, and sometimes that price is paid in the actual seeking of it. Why does God want us to search for things given to us? I dont know exactly why God wants us to seek and search for what He has otherwise freely given us in spirit. God always has His personal reasons for everything that He does. But one thing you shouldnt forget is that weve an enemy in this world the devil - who is on a daily mission to steal and kill and destroy (Jn. 10)10). He will throw every possible obstacles and frustrations along the way, so that you dont get anything from God. The efforts we put in while searching for what God has given us are never wasted. The more we search for something, the more we are sharpened and the more we are prepared to handle and value it. We humans have a tendency of valuing more whatever costs us more to get. May be one has a few rough edges in ones personality that need to be smoothed out and cleaned up before God finally matches one up with the person, ministry, work, riches, or whatever blessing one prayed for? A brother I know prayed to God to take him out financial debt. Well God granted his prayers and even gave him Galatians 3:13-14, to inform him he had actually been saved from the curse of debt. But for some time, this brother actually could not see any change in his situation. His financial situation only became worse, as he continued sinking deeper into debt. Then the brother got back to the Lord to counsel him as to why his answered prayer was not manifesting into tangible results. Well, the Lord told the brother that He had actually raised him out of debt, but before this brother could actually see his deliverance, he had to come to a point where he hated borrowing and indebtedness so much that he would do anything to avoid it again. So often its like that. God blesses us with good things, but we dont get hold of these blessings, until we have matured or mastered the lessons of our experience. Lessons that havent been truly learnt in life keep recurring in different forms and at different stages. Often

God will not change your circumstances until your mind has changed. Otherwise you will find yourself in the same circumstances, time and again. There is no point in getting a person out of debt, or out of a sinful habit or whatever prison he is in, until that person has come to hate that condition. If that person has not yet come to hate that condition with all his heart, he will soon get back into the same situation. Whatever bad situation or condition you are in, how much do you hate it, and what shows you really hate it? Whatever good things you want from God, what have you done to demonstrate that you really need and are prepared to handle them? Whatever you need badly you will get it. Our attitudes, actions and behaviour determine our readiness to get hold of what God has already given us in spirit. Wining faith is persistent. Every believer who wants to win great in Gods Kingdom should read the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8. The widow badly needed justice, but the judicial system of the day and everything around her were all stuck against her. But the widows persistence prevailed, as those against her were finally gave in and granted her what she wanted. We must always pray, and search and seek and knock without giving up. Persistence is the mark of winners. It can be frustrating when you ask, search, seek and knock day in and day out, without seeing any positive results, without seeing any light at the end of the tunnel. But there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel, for the Lord who cant lie assures that, he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened (Lk. 11:913). This is our blessed assurance. Keep knocking!

The word knocking refers to a higher level of intensity in our search. Often by the time you knock at someones door, the child or whatever you are looking for is not visible anywhere. Go to a higher level of intensity in your search for what God has given you. And knocking just one time is unnatural. Knock many times and the door will open, whether the occupants of the house wants to open or not! Be willing to knock many doors until the Holy Spirit leads you to the right one. Its a mark of faith. God is pleased to the intense desire we have for the prayer request we made, by watching how much desire and intensity we show Him in our seeking and knocking after it. Whatever the case, make sure you search for whatever you have prayed for, and that you do so solely under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Whatever we pray for and God gives us, it Him to lead us to it. I could not find my car keys, until I asked the Holy Spirit to lead me to them. He led me to look up, and then I saw them hanging on the nail. The Bible says The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 2:10). Only the Spirit of the Lord knows exactly where God placed what we want, and only He can lead us to it, as we ask Him to and submit to His guidance. Ask the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, to lead you to the ministry, job, house, car, business, money, soul-mate, state of life or whatever you prayed for. Be willing to be fully guided by the Holy Spirit to what you prayed for. Not only is God the only One who knows which person or thing it is that would be the most suitable and compatible for you in this life, but He is the only One that can actually lead you to where it is located. Establish an intimate working relationship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit and you will be able to pick it up directly from Him as to which way He wants you to go, to get hold of what God gave you in answer to your prayer. We walk intimately with the Spirit by continually tuning in our spirit or heart, and communicating with Him. There will be times that you will feel led to go into this and or that direction,

and this may be the leading of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help guide and direct you, if you sensitively walk with and tune it to His leading. Continue to seek, and you shall find; continue to knock, and door will open. Persistence and perseverance are the marks of winners. It demonstrates belief in God the giver. Continual knocking at the palace door of the king shows diligence, and God cant fail to respond to a diligent seeking Christian. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find it; knock and doors shall open. Whoever asks receives; whoever seeks finds; whoever knocks opportunities open for them. God cant lie! Cast the nets deeper! Simon Peter, like many of us, was used to running his business in the shallow waters of comfort and convenience in the Sea of Galilee. He was daily fishing in the shallow waters of this big sea, making do with meagre catches every now and then, like other fishermen around him, and like His father Zebedee and the generations before him. Peter was used to those little catches of fish, until Jesus told him to steer away from the status quo, to break out of conformity, and go beyond the perceived limitations of his environment. When he obeyed, Peter obtained phenomenal results! His season and story completely changed (see Luke 5:4-7). Great catches (of whatever we fish or want in life) are always to be found beyond the horizons, beyond what and where every one easily and conveniently does it. If you want greater results, go beyond the shallow waters. In shallow waters, there are only small fish. But in the greater depths, thats where you will get a really big catch. If the money you are earning from whatever and wherever you are working is too meagre to meet your needs, thats a clear signal that you are fishing in shallow waters. You need to recast your nets deeper. Put out into the deep mysterious sea of life there is all the fish, the money, the results, the better life that you need. But do not set out without Christ in your boat, or else the winds and the beasts of the sea may swallow you up! Ask Jesus where, in this sea of life, you should recast your nets for better results in your area of need. Keep working it out! Our focus on thoughts is no way meant to suggest that we should be passive believers who merely sit and wait for things from heaven. The Bible says: As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead (Jam. 2:26). Thinking, speaking and feeling what we have prayed for doesnt mean doing nothing about it. What we do, and of course how we manage our lives, finances and other resources also matters. But this only comes after we have attracted such blessings and manifested them in the natural. Yet how we think is very important because our thoughts lead us to our actions. Our thoughts, feelings, words, and imaginations, coming after weve prayed to God, are actually the spiritual forces that inspire positive actions, the outer and final element of winning faith. The final phase in the process of receiving from God are our actions. The Jews in Egyptian exile truly believed that God had given them the Promised Land, but they would not get hold of it for 40 years, simply because they were not willing to walk in there. Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on (Exod. 14:15). Action is proof of faith. If you believe God has given it to you, go for it, as far as you can, and whatever the obstacles along the way. God who gave it to you will also make a way for you to overcome the obstacles.

As we believe, think, speak, feel and visualize what weve prayed for, this should lead us to move, to work or act to bring the spiritual blessings we believe God has already given us, into physical reality. Repeating the same thought day after day programmes your mind to act on it and to bring it into reality. Thoughts and mental images lead to action, and action leads to results. Our results, if they are positive, then lead to fulfillment and achievement. But such working or actions are inspired. Inspired action is when you act or work, under the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit, to bring into manifestation what God has already given you in the spirit, and which you have been thinking, speaking and visualizing. This is far different from working to get what you think you dont have; and its what makes the difference between working in Gods Kingdom, and working or (to be more precise) toiling in a fallen and cursed world system. If success were primarily a result of hard work per se, people who work 24 hours, day and night, would be the most successful people on earth. But they are not, and many have actually broken down. Inspired action or work is fulfilling and flows with the current of divine grace (as opposed to naked struggles of people of the fallen and cursed world, where people work to earn things, rather than working to bring into manifestation things that God has already given or blessed them with). Havent you heard some people boasting that I earned my money, my academic qualifications, top position, reputation, success, etc.? Such people may become rich or otherwise successful, but often at the cost of their health, spirituality, family or life. Such are cursed and sorrowful riches, for The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it (Prov. 10:22). This former is labouring in the energy of the flesh, rather than in the power of grace, the enabling flow and power of the Holy Spirit. Work and do whatever is necessary to manifest Gods blessing, but do so under the grace of God, and in the knowledge that God has already lovingly granted it to you in spirit. We believers aren't under the curse anymore; for Jesus redeemed us from it "being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree" (Gal. 3:13). But many people seem to have a toiling, a striving, work-for-a-living curse mentality. Instead of approaching everything in life by faith [The righteous shall live by faith - Heb. 10:38], we strive to meet our needs and to prosper, based on our own efforts, and on the fallen world system; instead of operating under the grace and principles of God's Kingdom. We spend all our time and life chasing money, instead of following and working under the guidance of God's Spirit to get hold of the money that God has otherwise already given us. We are not supposed to chase anything which is already ours! You can only chase that which is running away from you; and never that which is already given you. Whats already given to us is the one that should be chasing us; and all we have to do is just to tap and get hold of it. We don't have to struggle to make a living or to prosper in life, any more than Adam did before the Fall. Living and prospering is not our job to chase. It's the job of the grace of God in Christ Jesus, in whom we live. God will "make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work" (2 Cor. 9:8). The belief that we must earn our progress or prosperity is fixed in most of us. But we cant earn a blessing! From salvation to being filled with the Holy Spirit, whatever you believe that you dont have, and go ahead and try to earn or work it out in our own strength, God will leave you to try it out, until you fail and come back to the throne of

grace! Prosperity in any area of life is, first and foremost, a work of grace; what God has freely given us. Work with the Holy Spirit Success in any area of life is a function of the Holy Spirit. Not by strength and not by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord who rules over all (Zec. 4:6); for without Me, Jesus says, you can do nothing of value in life (Jn. 15:5). Without the Holy Spirit, we dont even have power over our thoughts, for we cant force our mind to think the way of God. The only way to receive what God has given us in spirit is to believe and receive it, rest in this faith and follow and work with the Holy Spirit to manifest it, in all practical ways, as He leads you to. If we couldnt earn our salvation, healing or the Baptism in the Spirit, why do we think we can earn our money, prosperity or deliverance from any oppression of this world? Ignorant men and women can boast of their success, riches, wisdom, hard-work and skills, but the truth is that .... Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows" (James 1:16-17). Every good thing is a spiritual blessing that comes from God, and is received by faith through the grace of Jesus, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Its not a result of our skills, wisdom and efforts. The best way to work is to work to become what you already are, what you already have in spirit; its not to work become what you arent already, or to have what you dont already have in spirit. All we've to do is to daily get under the hand of God the Spirit and then follow and do whatever He leads us to do, in order to manifest what He has already given us in spirit. Do whatever you can to get hold of what God has given you in spirit. But these must be Holy-Spirit inspired work or acts. When God wants you to take possession of whatever He has given you, He leads you to it, by any means. He brings along opportunities, and He activates impulses within you. When you sense an opportunity, when the impulse is there, when the initiatives is within you, when youve an instinctive feeling to do something, follow it. Its not something in me. Its the Lords Spirit communicating with you on a receiving frequency. He is magnetically pulling you to receive or act on what God gave you. Act fast! Dont delay, dont doubt or have second guesses! Do whatever He is telling you to do, and youll get hold of what He has already given you in spirit. We call this Holy Spirit-inspired action. After asking (praying) and receiving and believing and feeling that that youve received what you prayed for in spirit, be thus attentive to every move or leading of the Holy Spirit. Learn how to recognize that little nudge of the Holy Spirit that helps you get the timing right for every perfect step along the way. Learn to hear the voice of the Lords Spirit in you The secret of the greatest and most successful man that has ever walked on this earth Jesus - is this: Jesus never did or judge "anything except as He heard first from God" (Jn. 5:30; 14:10)! In virtually every area of life - be it choosing a house or a spouse, a job or business, locating divine direction or discovering God's purpose and will for your life in any area of life, making any important decision or taking any course of action - the deciding factor is hearing from God; then making the correct and best decision. What makes some people more successful than others is not just a matter of luck or hard work. Its what they know! They know something about something in their field or business that others don't know as well. They knew of opportunities or ways that others don't know as well. They have better information, revelation, understanding or interpretation of situations, or

foretelling of the future than others have. All this is Divine direction and it is the work of the Holy Spirit. If we are to have the success of Jesus in any area of life, we need to do as He did. This world has many paths that are full of detours and ways, which however so often lead nowhere or, even worse, keep you spinning in circles. You need to hear from the Holy Spirit at every turn. One of the major differences between believers (children of God) and non-believers is that the children of God are supposed to be "led by the Spirit of God" in every area of life (Rom. 8:14). But unfortunately many of God's children are spiritually deaf and dumb, often unable to hear, see, sense or perceive what He is telling or showing them (Matt. 13:14-15). We are not supposed to move through the day blindly, or do things by trial and error. God provided for them with a superior, all-knowing Spirit to lead them in all matters of life. "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth He will tell you what is yet to come the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you" (Jn. 16:13-15). We're supposed to be guided "into all truth", the truth of every matter! How does the Holy Spirit speak and how can we hear Him, you might already be asking. Well, the Holy Spirit speaks in many ways, including through the word and people of God. But more often through our thoughts, promptings, nudges (prodding, pushes) on our mind. He often speaks to us through our very senses [ears, eyes, feelings, etc]. He speaks to your heart, by impressing or putting something on your spirit, not in words, but in thoughts and impressions. The Holy Spirit, however, doesn't typically say "Francis, go and do this or that thing in this or that place" in an audible voice. Most often He will impress it upon our spirit or heart to do something, and then our spirit says, "I feel I should do this ..." Be watchful! Some of the thoughts and feelings which keep flashing through your mind might be from God. Don't ignore them. Check them out in prayer. The inner voice of God is heard through our heart or spirit. The most common way God speaks to us is thus through His Spirit in us talking to our soul, through our thoughts, feelings, impressions, promptings or nudges. It takes spiritual alertness to hear His voice. Many people say God doesnt speak to them, but the Bible says, For God does speak - now one way, now another - though man may not perceive it (Job 33:14). God is so intensely involved in our lives that the very frequency and intimacy of His dealings with us makes it seem too common and normal to be the supernatural God. We keep tending to dismiss the divine origin of what we hear, because it is too simple and gentler than we expect. The voice of God is not perceived by us so often, because we are spiritually blind and deaf! We are not spiritually attuned to hear anything that isnt spectacular; yet these days God mostly speaks not in the vocal, physically audible and spectacular manner. He communicates through simple "promptings" to our hearts or minds, or through a vivid impression, directing us somewhere, informing of something, alerting us, which we often ignore. Most of the time God uses a tiny voice inside of us to let us know. It can be similar to the "voice" of our conscience. It takes an alert heart to know that it is God speaking in our thoughts and placing things onto our minds Seize moments And while working to manifest your blessings under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, dont wait to have the full view of the course of things, before getting started. The Holy Spirit often reveals to us things bit by bit. Its like when youre to driving a journey of 100 miles at night; youll only be able to see just about 100 feet from where youre parked. But because you trust that you can complete your journey, you set off nonetheless. As you do,

before you complete driving the first 100 feet that are visible to you, another 100 feet unfolds; and your journey (life) keeps unfolding, until it finally leads you to the destination of whatever you want it. So it is with our daily lives and goals. The Holy Spirit leads us slowly into our destinies. When you're truly at the end of all you can do, that's where you'll find another avenue opening. The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day (Prov. 4:18). Simply trust and follow the Holy Spirit, our dear Friend, God, Counsellor, and Guide, and Hell lead you to what God has already given you. I have walked extensively in the slum dwellings of Kampala city and Ive learnt one interesting lesson, and its called its not the end of the road! Often when you are walking in the suburbs of Kampala, you will find yourself walking on a path that leads directly into a residents house, and you wonder what you will say to the occupant, because thats not your destination. But as soon as you reach his house, another pathway around the house opens up. Then you realize that this house was not actually the end of the road. As you listen attentively to the Holy Spirit and take the first step Hes leading you to, Hell always lead you to another step you didnt know of. You dont have to see the whole staircase, before climbing to the top floor of a high building; you just step where you see, and before you complete the current staircase, it leads you to another one. Take seriously ideas that pop out of your mind, for the Lords Spirit often guides us through our mind and thoughts. God no longer speaks so much directly through invisible audio voices, burning bushes and through lightening and thunder. He speaks through His word and by making impressions on our minds. Often youll experience a sudden urge, a hunch, or a flash of inspiration, moment of insight to solve a problem or carry out some task. Have you heard the experience that when you are searching for something youve misplaced, you can get an intuitive push to look in a certain place or direction, and then when you do, you find the lost item. This often is the work of the Holy Spirit leading us. Monitor what comes to your mind very closely, for ideas that come to our minds can be signals of answered prayers from God. Keep a diary to capture your feelings, dreams, goals, impressions, and insights. This is called journaling. Check them with God in prayer and see if its Him trying to communicate a certain message to you. Everything you do, make sure you do it in the power of the Holy Spirit. And you are only able to do anything in the power of the Holy Spirit if you invite, allow and engage with Him to do it through you, rather than you doing it by yourself. Successful people "focus their eyes on Christ" what He has achieved for them on the Cross, and they take it in faith. They dont look at what looks undone. Instead of striving to do or to achieve things in their own strength, they rely completely on Christ to produce or work it out in them. As with salvation, everything new need to do or accomplish in life, we need to come to God through the blood of Jesus, with nothing but complete faith and trust in Him. We cast ourselves completely and fully on the grace and mercy of God in Christ. This is exactly how we are to live each moment of our life. It is all from God and nothing from ourselves. It is complete and full dependence on Him and faith in Him and nothing from ourselves. Every thought and every action must be from God and not from ourselves.

Jesus didn't say, "I am influenced by my Father" or "I follow the principles of my Father" or anything like that. He clearly said that every word He spoke and His every action on this earth were from the Father and not from Him (Jn. 5:19, 30). Likewise, if we are to be truly successful in this world, every word we speak and every action of our lives must be from Christ in us, and not from our strength. Cease striving to achieve or do what you want, and, rather, do all from and for Christ in you. This is living in complete and full dependence on Christ, by the Holy Spirit, just as Christ lived in complete dependence on the Father. Let Him do all that we do.

Chapter 11 Youre fully equipped for great success!


Jesus paid a great price to liberate us from all oppressions of the devil sin, sickness, weakness, poverty, debts, unfruitfulness, failure, stagnation, lack of anything, through His crucifixion. He wants us to choose to walk in the freedom that He won at the Cross for us; rather than in fear of the conditions and forces He has already conquered for us. We who are in Christ are supposed to be a people who walk in overcoming power, defeating every foe which comes our way, because in us is Jesus resurrection power (Spirit) at work. We were created and equipped to succeed and shine in life, for Christ and His Kingdoms sake. Search for and work out success in every area, from every conceivable angle, under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Look deep into the problem or need you face and pray and receive divine solutions. Then imagine different alternatives for solving it, and as the Lords Spirit leads, try new paths; dont accept the status-quo. Associate with people who discuss ideas. Be on the look out for new innovations, opportunities, new angles, different strategies. If one doesnt work try another one. If you fail at one, try another approach. Youll surely get hold of it, because its already yours; God has already lovingly given it to you; and He is helping and working with you to ensure it is converted from a spiritual blessing into a tangible reality. The lid is already removed fly high! We serve a big, almighty and limitless God, but the irony of it is that since the fall of Adam, human beings have become enslaved within the restrictions of our natural environment and senses; within the limiting mentality and world-view of human experiences. We've become like those flies a certain brother in Christ from West Africa told me about.

The grasshoppers had been trapped in a jar-bottle for so long that, even after the transparent glass screen that was blocking them on the top of the jar-bottle had been removed, the grasshoppers still wouldn't fly beyond the top rim of the jar. They continued to stay below the rim of the bottle, at a level they were accustomed to, believing that there was no escape from the bottle they had long been confined in to. This unfortunately applies to many of us. Why, for example, apart from the man himself, was the whole worldly greatly surprised at the election of Barrack Obama as President of the United States of America? Didnt Obama (or any other black man, for that matter) possess the same physical, mental and spiritual composition as the while people, or any other human being created in the image of God? Is there anything impossible for God? It's all because we've been conditioned to believe and accept that certain things are impossible or unattainable for us. Like the grasshoppers in a bottle, we've observed our fore-fathers and mothers experiencing the same limitations and failures, generation after generation, and we have come to the conclusion that it's impossible for us to go above the top of the jar, or beyond whatever barriers that are in our environment. We easily accept and surrender to the limitations communicated to us by the failures of our preceding generations, more than to the limitless possibilities we have in Jesus. Jesus has totally removed the screen on the top of the jar and declared that now Everything is possible for him who believes" (Mk. 9:23); and that we will do even greater things than those He did while He as still on earth physically (Jn. 14:12). Yet our thoughts are still ruled by the scarcity, lack and limiting mentalities. We continue to be conditioned by the limiting space the devil, the world, and our environment and ignorance have confined us to; so much that we've come to believe in the power of these limitations, more than in the power of God, the Creator and one who is above all things. We don't expect to earn more money in a given year, than the money we have been earning over the last year; or beyond our known sources of income. We don't expect our marriages, children, projects, businesses, organizations, ministries to rise to a level beyond that our environment has set. We dont expect anything above and beyond that which we can envisage with our senses, beyond what has happened before or beyond that which we are used to seeing. This is a prescription for mediocrity. May God forgive us for our spiritual blindness! If only we could see what we could attain or do in Christ Jesus! Lets ask God, in Jesus name, to give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, to open the eyes of our heart, so that we may see the immense power and limitless riches and possibilities weve in Christ Jesus (Eph. 1:1723). Breaking walls If we, like those grasshoppers, are to fly beyond the rim of the jar in which we've confined ourselves, we've to break the mental and emotional walls that constrain us. These are our mentalities, attitudes and thought patterns, for as a man thinks so is he. The size of our outer lives is determined by the size of our inner worlds, our thought life, the possibilities we can see with the eyes of our heart, then believe God for and pursue. What we get out of life is largely determined by what we believe, think, speak and work on. God gave us five beautiful senses our natural eyes, ears, nose, touch, and tastes - but He didn't want us to be limited to and by these senses. He expected us to operate beyond them, because they are just natural and limited. Simply because we can't see stars during day time doesn't mean they are not there. Simply because we can't hear what someone is talking about us in their house does not mean that they are not talking about us. In other words, our senses are limited, and often they are not absolutely true. As the Nigerian brother reminded me, just look at the information of our past

scientific generations, some of which we often tend to take as gospel truth. In the past, the atom was considered to be the smallest indivisible particle of an element. Today it is no longer so. At one time, space was considered flat and the shortest distance between two points was a straight line. Today, we're told that it's actually a curved space; and that the shortest distance between two points is a curve. At one point it was said the earth is made of three axes. Today, scientists tell us that there is an infinite number of axes! Never be conditioned by common sense, by what people naturally see, say or think. Be conditioned by scriptural senses - by what the Creator of the Universe says is possible. We need to value and learn from experience, but we should not allow the experiences and conclusions of other people to form the walls that bound your knowledge and to determine your understanding and faith. If we do, they will determine the limits of your experience, what you get and achieve in life. Some of the things (e.g. cars, music instruments, spacecrafts, etc) that were in the past considered wonderful and advanced, we now look back to them and see them as perhaps being rather primitive and funny! Some of the very same things, ideas, and methods that today are considered wonderful and advanced, future generations will perhaps look back to them and wonder at our "silly and ignorant" assumptions and conclusions, observed the West African brother. The majority of us today have been conditioned to think and act only based on what our five senses tell us. Like grasshoppers in a bottle, when we hit these walls or environmental limitations, we quickly relapse back into the status quo defined by them, and believe that nothing else is possible. The individual and generational experiences of failure, frustrations, and defeat tend to shape our thoughts and beliefs, rather than what God says about our lives. Thus, whereas God says all things are possible for them that believer, for many of us these days, a lot of things are simply impossible. Whereas, for example, the Bible says God brought His people out of Egypt, loaded with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble person among their tribes (Ps. 105:37), today we consider weakness to be human and sickness to inevitable. You hear people saying, a person cant live without falling sick in this fallen word. But what about the Jews, among whom none was feeble or weak? Were they not human? Were they living in other world, different from ours? May be, spiritually. Today, even Christians think that poverty, famine, scarcity and lack are inevitable realities of this world with its unchecked population growth. Yet the Bible says, God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need (2 Cor. 9:8). If we dont believe Gods word that there is a place in this earthly Kingdom of His, where we can have all that we need - in all things and at all times how can we ever get hold of those things? According to our faith, it will be done to us. We must rise above all boundaries and limitations set or defined by the thought patterns of this world and its prevailing physical circumstances; whether such limits have been defined by scientific or religious, cultural or by human beings or by the experiences of past generations. In Christ Jesus is infinite wisdom and limitless possibilities. His power is their power; His ability is their ability; they can do all things through Him who gives them strength; they are more conquerors through Him who strengthens them. Why, because they are branches of Him who is the Vine (Jn. 15:5); 'For in Him we live and move and have our being We are His offspring (Acts 17:28). In Jesus, the cover or lid on your potentials, capabilities and achievements has been taken off. You and I can now fly to unlimited heights, in Jesus name. The only limitations in our life now are those we've allowed in your mind and thoughts. But just as the lid on the bottle in which

grasshoppers were had already been removed, our limitations are imaginary; they are not real. Whatever things might look at the outside, you can build that house, church, ministry, career, business, marriage, family, life; you can get out that debt, sickness or whatever prison that is pretending to be stronger that Gods power; you can get that money, job, child, or whatever else that God wants you to have; you can fulfill that dream in you - in Jesus name and by the power of His Spirit! Simply believe and pursue it like you have already got it.

Ask the Holy Spirit and read the Bible and other inspired Christian books to renew your mind that might have long been conditioned or trained to believe and operate in limitations. Are you a believer in the mighty Christ Jesus? "Everything is possible for him who believes. In Jesus, there are higher ways, higher possibilities, higher life, and higher realities than whatever it is that we're used to. In Him we can be much holier, wiser, richer, healthier, stronger, happier and more fruitful that we currently are. There is something higher and better, beyond the top of the jar. We need to refuse to accept the limitations imposed on us by the environment, culture, society, and by the experiences of failure by past generations or people around us. As the Spirit of the Lord leads, we need to step out of the status quo and soar beyond all known limits. Remove the word impossible from your mind and vocabulary, and tell yourself again and again that, "With God, all things are possible." Think big and bold thoughts. Having low expectations is the trap of mediocrity. Don't define reality anymore by the things your natural senses tell you. Define it rather by what God says. Never be led by what you naturally see, hear, smell, or feel. If you want to move beyond the artificial limitations of this world, make every effort to move away from negative and small thinking people; people who operate by the natural sense and think or say it can't be done. Surround yourself with people who trust in the power of God to work daily in their lives, and in miraculous ways, if needed; people who agree with the God of all possibilities. Put the promises and possibilities of God not only in your heart, but also in your mouth and speak them daily. The Lord Jesus wants to do great and wondrous things in, with, through and for us; but He is being constrained by our mental and emotional walls, by our limited thinking. It's all about our faith and belief. Jesus always asks: "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" If you say Yes, then He says, "According to your faith will it be done to you" (Matt. 9:30-31); "your faith has made you well" (Matt. 9:20-22); "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes" (Mk. 9:23); "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says" (Mk. 11:22-25); "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, `Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you" (Matt.17:20; 21:21); "as you have believed, so let it be done for you" (Matt. 8:13); "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" (Jn. 11:40). "Nothing is impossible with God" (Lk. 1:37); "What is impossible with men is possible with God" (Lk. 18:27). Know who really are! Our knowledge of who we are determines what we do. As a person thinks so is he. Always remember that you (of Christ) are a temple" of God's Spirit, "who is in you, whom you have received from God" (1 Cor. 6:19). The Spirit in us is the exact type that was in Jesus, and who made Jesus victorious over the devil, the flesh and the world. That same Spirit guaranteed Him victory against all works of the enemy, success in everything, health

at all times, rest even in adverse situations (Lk. 2:52). In this Spirit lay all that Jesus would ever require to live a victorious life. This same Spirit is the one He has given us believers (1 Cor.2:11-12). He is the one we carry inside of us believers, for as the Father equipped or sent Jesus, the same way Jesus has also equipped and sent us (Jn. 20:21). We are loaded with the same supernatural and all-conquering power of the life-giving Spirit of God that Jesus was loaded with. And in this Spirit, God has given us everything necessary for an excellent life, through Christ Jesus (1 Pt. 1:3)! Our potential in every area of life is limitless (Phil. 4:13). Stop looking at your limitations. In every situation, look at yourself as the "more-than-conqueror", the offspring of the Lion of the tribe of Judah - for you're in union with Jesus, the King of kings, the Lord of lords. Always look at yourself as a partaker of the nature and power of the Spirit of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Why? Because - "your life is now hidden with Christ in God" and "Christ is your life" (Col. 3:3-4). Youre supernatural, through Christ Jesus! Christ is the divinity - the very nature and power of God within a believer - and is manifested in us by and through the Holy Spirit. Everything you and I need to become the best that God created us to be, everything we need to realize our highest dreams and aspirations - whether it be abundant health or wealth, power or wisdom, peace or joy - is all already contained and built within the life of the Holy Spirit, the life of Jesus - in whom the full content of divine nature lives, the full nature of God (Col. 1:19; 2:9)! The power to have life to the full is right within you a believer; and its freely available to whoever invites Jesus into their lives. So emptiness is simply an illusion; it's not real. The reality is that we are filled with riches of every description. Lack is an illusion; it's not real; sickness is not real. Our reality is the reality of Jesus in whom we live; and this reality is goodness, righteous, power, abundant health and riches, in the power of the Holy Spirit. If youve received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour - regardless of whatever material thing you might feel lacking, youre a very rich person. Why? Because of "the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ" who "though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich" (2 Cor. 8:9). Regardless of that lingering shadows of the curses of poverty and debt that have dodged your life for a long time, praise the Lord, for youre a very blessed person! Why? Because in reality, youre already liberated from all forms of curses - for Jesus redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us ... in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles... (Gal. 3:13-14). Regardless of how unbending a sinful habit or weakness in your life might be, rejoice, for youre already the righteousness of God; for "God made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor. 5:21). No matter how stubborn or incurable that sickness or disease might be, youre already healed from it; for Jesus took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows and as a result by His wounds you have been healed (Is. 53:4-5;1 Pt. 2:24). No matter how big and unbending that mountain, problem or challenge in your life might pretend to be, in Jesus you already are a more than conqueror (Rom. 8:37)! Success is not a matter of receiving; it's a matter of manifesting and releasing the riches of the Christ-Spirit life in us. Success and fulfillment in life can only be realized to the degree that we convert Christs Spirit and rich life within us into tangible and intangible realities that promote and bless God's Kingdom and humanity. All we have to do is to take God for

His word, daily attentively tune in to His Spirit, get His instructions and act on them faithfully and diligently. Learn to look beyond mere appearances, and look deep and see and manifest the infinite and invisible riches of Christ's Spirit in you. The Spirit life within a believer is the inspiration of Almighty God, and has all the riches, potentialities and capabilities of the Divinity. Stop looking to this world, to people and their ways for your keys to success, and fulfillment in life. Everything you and I are seeking in this world is already built inside of us (1 Jn. 2:27). God's Holy Spirit within us believers is the fountain of Divine inspirations and riches. As the ocean teems with infinite forms of life, so does a born-again spirit teem with Christ's riches and magical solutions to all the challenges of our daily life! "Low Expectations - the trap of mediocrity" Someone once observed that "low expectations is the trap of mediocrity". Although the word "mediocrity" may sound rather harsh or even insulting to us, it nevertheless is a harmless word that merely describes a reality, or state of being; just like any other English word. One dictionary defines "mediocrity" as a state of being "average", or "ordinary" or "not outstanding". I'm sure none of us wants to be rated "average", "ordinary" or "mediocre." But the truth is that often, this is what we actually are, in some areas of our performance. We all want to score 100% mark in all areas of life, but the reality is that in some areas, we score much less. If you wrote an exam and your examiner told you that you've got an average score, I doubt whether you would hold a big party to celebrate it. Because this would mean that you've scored only about 50%, out of the one hundred marks you could have scored. I remember my class teacher used to write on my exam script these words: "Aim higher for better results", "work harder for progress", whenever I got just 50% of the mark or thereabout. Because we are used to being average in many areas, some people even hate the word perfection, and enjoy saying no one is perfect. But whats wrong with getting a perfect score of 100% in every area? God our heavenly Father is Himself a Person of excellent standards in all areas, and we are told, Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect (Matt. 5:48). God isnt satisfied with mediocrity or average results in any area; so much that even the roads of His heaven are tarmacked by gold! He actually rebuked and warned Christians who had settled for "mediocrity", which His word describes as "lukewarm": "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:15-16)! The English dictionary defines "lukewarm" as a state of being "moderately warm"; "neither cold nor hot". In other words, God wants us to be truly hot - outstanding, excellent in everything we are and do. One of the key attributes of highly successful people in life is that they aim higher and higher. They don't settle for average or ordinary results, when they know they could get excellent or outstanding ones. But today, many believers have settled for mediocrity. Whereas God created and gave us power to exercise control over everything (the flesh, the world, the devil) - saying be "fruitful, subdue the earth, rule over everything ... (Gen. 1: 22, 28), many believers are controlled and oppressed by the same forces of the world they are supposed to control.

Whereas, for example, God's word says, "Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers" (3 Jn. 1:2), many people even hate to hear the word "prosperity." Poverty and a mediocre life of borrowing and living in debt are not our heritage as liberated children of the richest and most powerful God there is. Yet many Christians have settled just for that; some to the extent of even mistaking poverty for virtue! God says "There should be no poor among you ", and that it's His desire to so bless you that "you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none" (Deut. 15:6, 4). But many today have settled for borrowing and getting into debt. Some even now justify borrowing and debt as good and normal things, but to God, it is just slavery, a form of mediocrity: "the borrower is servant to the lender" (Prov. 22: 7). The Bible says, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work" (2 Cor. 9:8); yet many don't believe that in this world, they can ever possibly have "everything that they need." But Gods word says yes, we can. Otherwise, how are we going to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, meet other needs of the poor, and spread the gospel to the un-reached parts of the world (some of the good works that God wants us to do) when we are ourselves poor and in need of the same things? You can't give what you don't have. The Bible says this of the children of God, the Jews who were traveling for many years in the Egyptian desert: "He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes" (Ps. 105:37, KJV). Yet today, we who are not wandering in the desert, and who are living after Jesus has come and paid the full price for man's sin, and thus by whose "stripes we are healed" - we are afflicted by all manner of sicknesses and diseases. We even refer to some of these diseases as "terminal", "genetic" or "incurable". If so big a group people who, moreover, had been so greatly oppressed living in exile and the wilderness for many years could not have a single sick or weak person among them, why do we find it normal to have so many of them in our more settled communities, even churches? Today, many other people have come to conclude that sicknesses and diseases are a "normal" or inevitable part of our human existence "this side of heaven" or in this fallen world - as if the Jewish believers were living in another world, a different planet from ours! As if the Law or Covenant of Moses under which the Jewish believers lived was better than the Covenant of Grace through Christ Jesus, under which we are living today! The truth is that all the blessings given to Israel as a nation, were just a mere shaddow of blessings which we New Covenant believers now have in Jesus. In all areas of life, we should be living much better than the Jewish believers under the Old Covenant did. We must get rid of the small, limited thinking, for as a person thinks so is he. The Bible says "greater" - not weaker - is the Spirit of the Lord Jesus in us, than any other force in the world (1 Jn.4:4). Yet many believers continue to be ruled and defeated by all manner of oppressions of the world and the devil - poverty, debts, sicknesses, diseases, sin, weaknesses, demonic oppression, etc. God's word says through Christ who loves and lives in us, we are not just conquerors, but "more than conquerors (Rom. 8:37). It also says "every child of God is able to overcome the world" (1 Jn. 5:4), but many God's children are defeated and overcome by the world and its oppressions. Some have settled for a life of weakness, oppression and defeat; thus rendering God's promises to be lies or unworkable! We've continued to believe in a mighty God, whom however we don't count on to do mighty things in our daily lives. In other words, we have denied His power, while raising the power of negative forces of this world. Lord, forgive us for our small thinking!

God said we believers should be the light of the world - a solution to the problems of mankind; salt to a rotting and ailing world. Jesus said we would not only do the things He did, but even greater things (Jn. 14:12). But how many crippled and dead people are we restoring in Christ's name? How many people are we delivering from sin, ignorance and poverty? The world is teeming with billions of suffering people. How many people's problems (spiritual, emotional, social, economic, physical) are we effectively solving? Many in the Church of Christ are in one form of bondage or the other; yet those whom the Lord sets free are supposed to be free indeed; and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is supposed to be total freedom and liberty! As Christ's Ambassadors or representatives on earth (2 Cor.5:20), we are supposed to be providing solutions to the problems of mankind, and not merely watch on helplessly or we ourselves become victims. We can't claim to be true ambassadors or representatives of someone, when we can't do what that person would do, were he to be present himself in that place. These and similar challenges should create in us a deep hunger and thirst to tap into the supernatural power of God. The major problem with most of us is that we don't have this kind of hunger and thirst. One of the tragedies of our Christianity today is that many of us get easily satisfied with the little we've and see. We feel accomplished or fulfilled with attending Church services and living a measure of good lives, thinking that we have arrived. We get satisfied so soon and allow the enemy to rob us of God's best, by accepting the ordinary as the final. The greater power of God for victorious and excellent living is only obtained by those who have an attitude that God can do more in and through their lives; that God is able to do greater and greater things with, for and through them; that God has reserves of power which they have not fully experienced. Only an understanding of how much more we need God's power, victory and fruitfulness, and a deeper walk with the Holy Spirit will bring down greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our lives. This is a daily recognition that we have not yet experienced enough, let alone the full measure of Christ's resurrection power that He wants us to have. If you've this kind of hunger and thirst, you're destined for great things! Go for it, and you shall have it, in Jesus' name, for as a man thinks so is he.

Chapter 12 Fight Spiritual mediocrity!


The desire for excellence in life does not mean being driven by an insatiable hunger and pursuit of the material riches and other passing things of this world - while neglecting the spiritual fruits and virtues that last beyond this life time; and which fruits and virtues must be the foundation of our lives and all pursuits. A true Ambassador of Christ must seek to prosper in ALL areas of life - spirit, soul and body - starting with his spirit, in that order. Our major aim must be to more effectively represent Christ in a fallen world; as credible witnesses of the wonder-working power of the Lord we profess; and thereby win souls from Satan's kingdom of darkness into Christ's Kingdom of light. This should be the focus and end point of our pursuit of an excellent life - to influence the world for Christ, and win souls to His kingdom! An excellent life is, therefore, only for those whose lives are, first and foremost, surrendered to Christ and to His Spirit. And it is for purposes of more effectively glorifying, representing and winning souls to Him in this world, besides enjoying His goodness and mercies. Forget about the hunger after climbing the ladder of success. Forget the fancy cars, big houses, powerful social positions, and the like. These are good things, and God created them for His children. But it is not the main reason we are here on earth for. A person who works all his life for these things, no matter how much of them he acquires, he actually has lived a life of mediocrity! The most important thing in life, and the main reason why you and I are here is, first and foremost, to know, love and grow into Gods likeness through Christ Jesus, becoming more a Kingdom-people, as the Holy Spirit prepares us; while also bringing other people around us into a relationship with and growth into Christs likeness. All other things are just to be added onto this. Besides being for our welfare, they are given to us primarily to influence for Christ the world around us - our unsaved neighbours, co-workers, and every person we can get into contact with. Never lose focus of the fact

that God wants to use your life primarily to reach or influence someone who is headed the wrong way. Another form of spiritual mediocrity we need to guard against is a lukewarm Christian life - a life that is half-way in Christ and half-way in the world (sin). Lukewarm believers accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and try to obey Him. But just like the Laodicean Church (Rev. 3:14-22), they are not committed to obeying Him in every thing. They won't completely surrender their heart to the Lord's Spirit and give up everything. Perhaps many of us fall in this category, ending up with an average score of 50/100 marks? We need to be careful. A fifty-fifty Christian journey is likely to end in a crash! Someone asked Jesus, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?' Jesus replied, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to ... you will stand outside knocking and pleading, "Sir, open the door for us."... But He will reply, "I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evil doers" (Lk. 13: 23-27). The word "trying" or "well-tried" sounds very praiseworthy in our vocabulary. After all, there is never anything like sinless perfection; none of us can ever be sinless in human flesh. We all need God's continual forgiveness and grace. But with all the abundant grace of Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit we have been given, we need to do better than living a 50-50, average Christian life. Even though the people Jesus is referring to above "tried" to live a life worthy of the Lord, they continued to do evil. Jesus tells the equally compromised believers in the church of Sardis: ... For I find that what you have done is not yet perfect in the sight of my God ... turn from your sins. If you do not wake up, I will come upon you like a thief ... But a few of you there in Sardis have kept your clothes clean. You will walk with me, clothed in white, because you are worthy to do so ... (Rev. 3:2-5). We must "make every effort" to keep our clothes clean, to live a more than average Christian life. If our Christianity is still one-leg-in Christ and one-leg-out in the world, we need to watch out; we are too close to the edge! It's not safe. God's word asks: "Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring pours out sweet water and bitter water from the same opening (Jam. 3: 11-12). Satan is always out to compromise our total commitment to obedience, by advocating a moderate Christianity. Why does Satan do this? He knows that our destiny is centered on our total commitment and dedication to Christ Jesus. When the Israelites wanted to leave Egypt, Satan, working through Pharaoh's heart, said to Moses, "I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the Lord your God in the desert, but you must not go very far ... (Ex. 8:28). The devil loves average, moderate Christians; believers who don't go very far in dedicating their lives to Christ in all areas. They love God, but they also do not totally turn away from known evil habits and practices. They never fully give their lives to Christ. "For this very reason", the Bible says, "make every effort to add to your faith " and then goes ahead to list seven virtues - goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love . . . in increasing measure (2 Pet. 1:5-8). As Peter warns us, unless we possess these virtues in increasing measure (more and more of them), we'll have less and less of the God-life.

~ There is no worse form of mediocrity than pursuing less and less of the spiritual virtues and fruits, the God-life and the winning of souls to Christ's Kingdom, while pursuing more and more of the passing things of this world! ~ That's why Jesus strongly warns people who are rich in the passing things of this world, but who are not equally rich in the things of the spirit, of the serious consequences that will befall them. Win souls for Christ! In considering the kind of thinking and attitudes that lead to great success in life, we cannot forget to look at one of the fundamental attributes of success, namely, soulwinning! The greatest measure of how successful a person has been in this life is the extent to which that person has helped expand Gods Kingdom on earth by, above all things, directly or indirectly winning souls to Christ Jesus! The greatest command Jesus gave - besides that of loving God and our neighbour - is this: "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you " (Matt. 28:19-20). Whatever contribution you and I may make in this world, nothing can even begin to compare to the call of Jesus to us all, to help take His message of salvation, love and forgiveness to every person in every city and community, and make disciples of all nations. There is nothing we do on earth that causes greater joy in heaven than when you and I have done one thing - won even a single soul for Christ and into Gods kingdom Lk.15:7)! So, pursue success or whatever else you want in life with this as your underlying and ultimate goal. Whatever blessing you get from God, as a result of practicing these success principles, make sure you use it, above all things, to promote the cause of Christ; to ensure that as many people as possible receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, enter into Gods Kingdom, and get delivered from the oppressions of the enemy, in all ways. The richest King of Old, Solomon, saw it long ago and said: he who wins soul is wise (Prov.11:30). Yet we must no let the enemy of our soul to use Christ's otherwise good warning against a one-sided pursuit of the passing things of this world, to effectively prevent us from going for the good things that God wants His children to have for the right reasons. It is an insult to a Holy God, for one to know that, "The world and all that is in it belong to the Lord" (Ps. 24:1); and that "All the silver and gold of the world is" the Lord's (Hag. 2:8) - and yet expect only non-believers to enjoy these riches, while God's born-again children live in poverty and misery! It is an insult to a Holy God, for Him to pay for everything His children need for life in full, and we refuse to claim it. Wanting more of the things of this world isn't the problem. The problem is pursuing more of the passing things of this world, and less of the things of the spirit that will last beyond this life time - more of God, expanding His kingdom (by winning/influencing souls to Christ), and pursuing His righteousness. You've got to go for an excellent life in all areas, starting with our spirit; then our soul; and then our body, in that order.

Go after everything, as the Spirit leads, to the glory of God and for the expansion of His kingdom. Don't rest until you have everything Christ dearly paid for you to have. Make all of it count. The real effort we need to make (and without it, all our efforts are doomed) is to seek Jesus in everything. Daily surrender your life and everything to Him. Walk with Him 24 hours a day, by the Holy Spirit, listening and speaking to Him. Lean on Him in everything. Love Him with all your heart. Seek to be filled with Him every hour, every minute! God has already fully paid the price for everything we will ever need for the life we've dreamed of - a life where we have, in abundance, love, peace and joy; a life where we have, in abundance, kindness that allows us to overcome every insult; knowledge that makes us highly productive and deeply effective; self-control that empowers us to live above anger, lust, envy; a life where we have, in abundance, health, wealth, and every other thing we need.

All these things are already ours in Christ Jesus; close enough for us to gather in truckloads, praise the Lord! Receive and walk intimately with Jesus through the Spirit. Ask, seek and knock each and every seemingly closed door in, with, and through Him, and you shall get hold of the excellent life you've dreamt of. Shake off the spirit of mediocrity! As a person thinks so is he. A successful or excellent life starts in our mind, in our innermost thoughts. It starts with an understanding that where you are is not where you are supposed to be; that what you have is not what you are supposed to have; that you're being cheated. If youve a rich and powerful Father who has already paid a cash deposit of 100 million shillings to a local shop or supermarket; in order for you to be able to pick any goods you want from that supermarket, you won't allow the manager of that supermarket (or any other person) to prevent or limit you from taking from that shop whatever your father has already paid for you! You will not accept to settle for biscuits and cookies, when your father has already fully paid up for all the best foods in that shop! You will not accept to buy things on credit, when your father has already paid up for everything! Why? Because your rich Daddy has already fully paid up for everything you need and which the supermarket can offer. The shop or supermarket and everything in it now belongs to Him (Ps. 24:1); and they belong to you as well, for youre a part of Him (Eph. 1:3; 2:6). You will not accept to settle for mediocrity, when you know you've the richest Daddy, whose riches belong to you as well. What would you do if a thief or the controlling powers that be prevented you from taking any of the things that your Father has otherwise already fully paid up for you? Would you settle for the little they allow you to take, while waiting to enjoy the fullness of what rightly belongs to you when your Father returns, or when you go join Him (in Heaven)? This is what most believers have settled for. Some of us perhaps don't even know that we are being cheated. Jesus says we suffer because of ignorance - ignorance about what Jesus has already paid for us on the cross, and how to claim it. The Lord warned us before He left this world in a physical form; that much as He was coming to give us life "in all its fullness", there was also in our midst a "thief" who "comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy" (Jn. 10:10). But the Master did not tell us to settle for mediocrity in this world, simply because there is a thief in our midst. No, He said, "I will not leave you as orphans [orphans are vulnerable or helpless people] if I go, I will send Him to you it is better

for you that I go, because if I do not go, the Helper will not come to you. But if I do go away, I will send Him to you when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth (Jn. 14:18; Jn. 16:7,13). And later, the Master's word said that this "Helper" whom He left behind for us is "greater" or "more powerful" than any thief we would ever find in this world (1 Jn. 4:4). Praise the Lord! If your powerful Father who has paid up for everything you need also goes ahead to send someone equally powerful to act as your "Helper" (the Holy Spirit) in this world, all you have to do it to walk with this powerful Helper; and under His cover, to take everything that the enemy tries to stop you from taking. Every person who wants to walk in victory in all areas must walk with this very powerful Helper, the Holy Spirit, 24 hours a day yielding to, talking to and listening to Him; following His leading or instructions; drinking from His abundant rivers of supernatural wisdom, knowledge, understanding, power, guidance and inspiration. This is the prescription drug for mediocrity. The Master says that we will succeed in this world, not by human "power or might, but by my Spirit" (Zech. 4:6). He further assures us that if we walk with His Spirit, "obstacles as great as mountains will disappear before you" (Zech. 4:7). Praise the Lord!

Chapter 13 The fully-packaged comprehensive insurance!


At the Cross of Calvary, our Lord Jesus paid the full price - in the currency of His blood; for everything - spiritually, physically, financially - that His children would ever need in life. The word of God says, "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!" (Rev. 5: 12). Jesus was killed in order to receive these things for His beloved humanity. He did not need them Himself, for it was "through Him" that God made "all things", in the first place (Jn. 1:3-4). But out of profound love for mankind " the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world ." (1 Pt. 1:18-20). In other words, God took out an insurance policy, before creating mankind; a fully comprehensive insurance that pays for all mankinds needs and damages, no matter what; and even promises to "restore back as new!" That insurance is the precious blood of Jesus. The main strength of this insurance (just like any insurance policy) is that it was taken out before the incident chosen before the creation of the world. That is why it covers every thing. Jesus' death on the cross was not an after-thought by God, rushed through after the event (of mankind falling into sin). No. It had been settled before the creation of the world. Other than our thinking (disbelief, lack of faith), there is nothing that life or living, Satan or the world presents that can prevail against what the precious blood of Jesus has already made full provision for. Gods "divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Why do we then accept to be denied the benefits and blessings that our Lord Jesus has already fully paid up for us? Why do we accept to settle for mediocrity? Nothing must stop you from achieving what God wants you to achieve in life. There will always be obstacles, mountains and strongholds to break, but all these are nothing compared to the awesome power of Christ who lives in us believers! Just like birds are born to fly, regardless of the law of gravity that constantly tries to pull them down; and just like the fish are born to swim, no matter the hostile the waves and snakes of the sea

that are against it, we believers are born to exceedingly succeed in everything that Jesus wills in our lives, regardless of our circumstances and opposition. Invoke the blood and the word! The Bible says the Saints who came before us overcame this thief of abundant life "by the blood of the Lamb and the truth which they proclaimed " (Rev. 12:11). The thief and enemy of the abundant life knows very well the bloody price that Jesus paid to recover for us everything that belongs to God; and which things our ancestor Adam had sold out to the devil in the Garden of Eden. The enemy also knows well the power of the spoken truth as contained in Gods word; but because many believers are silent or ignorant about the power of blood price and the truth, the enemy gets away with what belongs to us. I often hear some believers invoking or pleading the blood of Jesus, when they are casting out demons from people. Rarely do I hear many invoking the same blood when claiming their prosperity or other needs of life. But, the Jesus blood is a universal and fully comprehensive insurance that paid for all humanitys needs and damages. Our total redemption is in the blood. The blood is God's answer to everything that Satan throws at us. Constantly plead the Masters blood, until you get what belongs to you. The blood our Lord shed over 2000 years ago is still living and speaking for us; for the life of a person is in his blood. Thats why the blood of Abel continued to speak against Cain his killer, even long after Cain was dead. The blood of Jesus has enough authority and power to meet all mankind's needs. Its the answer to every human need. It's omnipotent God's provision for all human needs. It has provided for our total redemption, for every need and provision. Even if it means pleading it for 24 hours a day, or for 24 years every hour, do it; until you walk in the holiness or righteousness, the health or wellbeing, the prosperity or success, that rightly belong to you, in Christ Jesus. Keep proclaiming the truth. The Saints of old succeeded against all enemies by also proclaiming the word of truth (Rev. 12:11). To proclaim is to confess or declare that what God says is the truth; and that it must prevail, soon or later - whatever the circumstances; however big, tall or high the mountains might be; however hard, stubborn or unbending the enemy might be; and regardless of how long it takes! Our faith is not effective, until it continually proclaims or claims, declares or decrees, confesses or calls into existence the invisible things that rightly belongs to us. The devil's trick is to blind God's children to the many different truths contained in the New Covenant that are established through the great exchange of Calvary. Don't fall to the enemy's tricks. Based on the only and only truth there is, if the enemy is stealing your righteousness, trying to soil you with sinful weakness or perversion, keep declaring that you are the righteousness of God, because "Jesus became sin for [you], so that in Him [you] might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Pt. 2:24). If it's poverty, keep dismissing it, insisting that your Lord Jesus "became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich" (2 Cor. 8:9); and then receiving your riches in faith. If it's a sickness of disease, keep declaring that "By His Jesus' stripes, I am healed" (Is. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:17 - paraphrased). If it's a curse of debt, lack or any other form of misfortune, keep confessing that, it has no way, for "By becoming a curse, Christ has redeemed us from the curse so that the blessing which God promised to Abraham might be given to the Gentiles (us) " (Gal. 3:13-14). Whatever the enemy brings, keeps declaring that "anything God my heavenly Father did not plant in my life, family, business,

ministry, body, is hereby uprooted" (Matt. 15:13 - paraphrased) - and it shall be, in Jesus' name! The seed Every seed caries within itself the DNA or the very cells and life of its parent plant. The word of God is a seed (Lk. 8:11), which carries within itself the very "life" and "Spirit" of God (Jn. 6:63). God is "righteous", "health", "wealth", "power", "love", etc. His word is a spiritual capsule that contains all these and other attributes or elements of His nature. If you continually swallow this capsule as prescribed to you by Doctor Jesus, you will get the life that is contained in that capsule. Similarly, if you planted a relevant word or promise of God in a good soil (a heart of faith and patience), and then routinely watered that ground (by prayer, meditating on and confessing/declaring the promise or word of God), in time it will produce the results (the life) that is contained in that particular word or promise you planted. It will produce the power, the health, the wealth, the love, the righteousness, the deliverance of God that is contained in it. It will produce Gods Kingdom (or riches) that are contained in it. In all Bible history, there's no person that ever believed and repeatedly confessed God's word or promise, and it failed him! If you will exercise faith in the integrity of Gods word, and have confidence in the fact that God is not a man that He can lie or fail on His promises; but rather that He is God who rewards those who diligently seek Him, you will receive the promise that you have been standing on! God watches over His word we plant in our heart. Have you ever asked why God's word is so powerful? Why is the word of a king or an army general effectively carried out by those to whom it's directed? God does not just give us words or promises and then goes away. He remains "watching" over His word to perform it; to see to it that it is "fulfilled" in our lives (Jer. 1:12). And He says: "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it" (Is. 55:10-11). God is watching over the words we are speaking against negative situations in our life, in order to ensure that they germinate and swallow up the negative forces in your life. Don't be a clothe-mouthed Christian. Continually speak into your situations. God assures us that His word is like "fire", "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces" (Jer. 23:29). The good fight of faith We are called to "Fight the good fight of faith " (2 Tim. 6:12), for a good reason. It's a struggle, for in this world we are daily contending with an enemy who is not only on clear mission of stealing, killing and destroying human lives, but also one who doesnt give up that easily. Yet its a good struggle, because, for all the pain and ups and downs of it, someone in us (Jesus), has already won every battle for us! Its thus a struggle whose outcome though is already known beforehand. If you are engaged in a contest whose outcome is already know to you in advance, all youve to do is to persist until you see your guaranteed victory. You actually fight as an already crowned champion.

All weve to do is to fight the enemys lies, and rightly claim back what rightly belongs to us; by invoking the bloody price already paid by Jesus and the word of truth that affirms it. Continue living, speaking and acting in the victory thats already yours in Jesus. It's the battle of the mind. As a person thinks so is he. Don't allow the chief liar, the devil, to impress his lies and deceptions upon your mind and keep you in mediocrity. Counter him with the word of truth; in the end, truth will always prevail. Demolish his every argument and take captive every negative thought to make it obedient to the word of Christ. As long as we have any enemy whose mission on earth is to "steal, kill and destroy," we must be prepared to fight him to reclaim the excellent life that belongs to us. Our weapons are not the weapons of the world. Ours are spiritual, and one of our key weapons is that of faith - believing what God says about your situation or need, declaring it, and pursuing it with all possible actions, as the Holy Spirit leads and enables us to do so. Never allow the enemy to point you to the limitations of your environment. Our Lord is above our environment and He is above all the limitations and depressing circumstances around us. He can change anything in His universe, in just a matter of seconds! God is most pleased with believers who look beyond their limitations and look into His unlimited power. They stretch out their natural life into something bigger than them the supernatural life of God. The bad fight Whenever someone mentions a "good fight, it means there is also a "bad fight; isn't it? What then is a bad fight? A bad fight is one that is fought outside of faith in what Jesus has already achieved for you. A person fights it as if he is fighting a new battle. Such a battle cant be carried to the end. The fighter gives up and gets defeated by the enemy that he would otherwise have easily overcome, with a little more determination, persistence, patience and faith in the already finished work of Christ. Many believers are bad fighters. We firm lack determination, persistence and patience to press through what Jesus has already accomplished for us. When we pray and invoke the blood of Jesus, and declare the truth of His word, but after some time without seeing results quickly enough, we give up. This way, we lose. The word says, " Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you" (Jam. 4:6). A good fight is an exercise in continual resistance; resisting the lies of the enemy, and proclaiming the truths of Gods word. The enemy of the abundant life will try and test believers' faith to the limit, to see if they have the staying power; to see if they can outlast his resistance. Continue resisting him in faith; and he shall flee. Determination, persistence and patience are the mark of winners. The Bible says that problems and suffering come in our life, in order "to prove that your faith is genuine. Even gold which can be destroyed, is tested by fire; and so your faith which is much more precious than gold, must also be tested, so that it may endure. Then you will receive praise and glory and honour the day when Christ Jesus is revealed (or comes to your rescue)" (1 Pet. 1:7). Believers will go through hard times. They will find themselves in situations where their faith and trust in God and His word will be severely tested. The more "hell" they go through, the more some of them will wonder if this faith really works! Sometimes it will seem as if God doesn't even exist or is uninterested in our situations. This, however, is the critical test of faith that determines who gets promoted and who doesnt. Continue trusting in Jesus and you will see victory. Remain steadfast in trusting in

His finished work and in His sure word. The Bible says, "You need to be patient and receive what He promises" (Heb. 10:36). To successfully endure hard times, we need to constantly draw supernatural power from our Dear Helper whom Jesus left us with - the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of Power. And just like an electricity transformer, the Spirits work is to transform us into powerful, courageous and no-retreat-no-surrender determined fighters who outlast and outclass the enemy. Drink from the Holy Spirit 24 hours a day, and you'll be filled with supernatural power to overcome the enemy of the abundant life. Theres no exemption from this good fight of faith, which takes places in our mind, in our thoughts. Every one that wants to succeed in life and live the victorious and abundant life that Jesus paid for them must fight this good fight of faith, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Those who refuse to fight, they lose and settle for mediocrity. Refuse to settle for where you are, for what you have. Say, "I must have everything my Saviour Jesus paid up for me on the cross." From John the Baptist's days up to today, God's blessings are obtained by the spiritually "violent" believers (Matt. 11:12). These are people of radical faith who, against all odds and who, led by the Spirit of God, press into God's grace and blessings. They don't settle for anything, other than that which Jesus paid for them on the Cross.

We must believe as a person thinks (or believes) so is that person! To work the supernatural, you must believe that you are created for it. You must believe that you are created for signs and wonders, because Jesus said these signs will only follow them that believe (Mk. 16:17-18). Faith is the foundation for supernatural manifestations.
I cant put up with this You will get whatever you need badly enough! If you can do without something, you will surely do without it, because you can. But if, like the Prodigal Son, you determine that enough is enough, "I can't continue living like this", I cant continue begging on this street, when I have a rich father, "I can't do without this thing in my life" it shall be done according to your faith, to your thoughts and words; you will get what rightly belongs to you, in Christ Jesus! After your rich father has fully paid at the shop, for you to be able to take from that shop any product you want, you cant allow the shop attendant there to ask you to pay again for the same product! You will demand for what your father has already paid up for you. You will produce all available documentary evidence, all the receipts, all written agreements, to impress it upon whoever is holding it, that the product is legally yours, and that you must take it! So it is with the spiritual blessings. Our Loving Father in heaven has, through Christ Jesus already fully paid up for everything we will ever need in life. We need to fight with all evidence (word of God) to take our blessing away from the controlling spiritual dark forces of this world, which try to prevent us from taking it. Believers need to understand that we daily live with the devil and his invisible angels, who are here on a mission to steal and kill and destroy whatever blessing and good life God has in Jesus procured for us. We must fight the good fight of faith and deploy all spiritual weapons at our disposal against the enemy! Today, start persistently declaring that:

I can't continue living in sin or any other form of spiritual weakness, when my Lord Jesus has already taken it upon Himself and nailed it at the cross! (2 Cor. 5:21). I can't continue living in poverty when my Lord Jesus has already taken it upon Himself for me so that I might become rich (2 Cor. 8:9). I can't continue living in sickness and disease when my Lord has already borne my sicknesses and diseases! (Is. 53:5; 1 Pet. 2:24). I can't continue living in debt and lack when my Lord Jesus has already taken the curse of poverty and debt upon Himself, so that I might live in financial blessing! (Gal. 3:1314). I can't continue living a life of borrowing when I was equipped and mandated to be a lender (Deut. 28:12)! I can't have Jesus in my life and yet I get conquered or defeated by anything in this world! I can't live a defeated by anything in life, in any area, when the stronger One, the mighty Spirit of the Lord Jesus lives in me (1 Jn. 4:4; 1 Jn. 5:4)! I can't live with any form of curse, when in Jesus Im actually blessed in every way (Gen. 1:28)! I cant fail to create (life, jobs, employment, wealth, ministry, things ) - when I am daily walking with the Spirit of Creation! Keep fighting the good fight of faith. In Gods kingdom, its only the persistent, confident and no-surrenderno-retreat kind of fighters that are rewarded! So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised (Heb. 10:3536). Patience and persistence are the marks of winners in Gods Kingdom. We often expect results sooner than later, and if we dont get them, we get disappointed, frustrated and lose our faith in the methods Gods word prescribed. I have been practicing these principles you talk about, but I dont see the results; I have been tithing, but I dont see the window of heaven opening up for me to give more than I have enough room to store, someone might say. Depending on the goal, your preparedness and other factors, sometimes you might get results quite fast, but usually, especially with big goals, one thing you must bear in mind is that success doesnt manifest overnight. Often, all kinds of changes need to take place and the proper circumstances created, before your goal could be achieved, and this often takes time. A seed planted in the ground does not become a blooming flower overnight. It needs time to grow, and has to be nurtured regularly and properly with patience and perseverance. It even takes some time to present compelling evidence that the product you are claiming at the supermarket is actually already paid up for! You need to prove to the controlling powers of the universe: that Jesus actually paid up for what you want; that you are actually one of the people (children of God) for whom He paid it up; and finally that you are dead-determined not to leave the shop without taking whats yours! Be patient in your fight, but persistent and determined. Its only a matter of time before your circumstances change. And our patience doesnt mean sitting there waiting on God

to do it. Never, for He has already dome it. We keep pulling it into existence with our thoughts, words, and actions from every conceivable angle. Positive believing, thinking, imagination, speaking, tithing, giving lead to positive, successful living. We need to be diligent; confessing Gods word, for example, just sometimes or for a few times, now and then, seldom produces results! But repeating it day after day will eventually produce the proper circumstances to produce results. Continue working it out, as you wait for your God-ordained moment. It will surely come, and when it does, youll experience your results! You are about to reap the fruits of your persistent faith and efforts! The harvest is ready! The right idea is coming! The right connections are closing in! The right people are on the way! The right environment is approaching! The right time is very close! The defining moment, the turning point in your life is at close at hand! The long-waited breakthrough in your area of need is much closer than you think! Keep your dream in focus. Its already yours. You already have it. Receive it today, in Jesus name!

Renew your mind! The Lords word advises every person who converts to Christianity one key thing: Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom. 12:2). Dont subscribe to, do not agree or go with the worlds way of thinking, speaking and doing things or else you will live the way the world lives; you will experience the poverty, the scarcity, the lack, the failure the people of world experience - for as a person thinks so is he. Our Lord Jesus tells us very clearly that, much as we who are in Jesus are in this world, just as He was for 33 years, we are, however, not of the world (Jn. 17:16,18). If you are a Christian, youre not a citizen of this world. You are a citizen of the Heavenly Kingdom. Think like the people who are where you come from (Heaven) think, and you will live as they live. An insect is an insect because it comes from the insect world and thinks like an insect. A bird is a bird because it comes from the world of birds, and it thinks like a bird. An animal is a mammal, for it comes from the animal world and thinks like an animal. Who are the Christians? Arent we the anointed of Christ? Why then do Christians who come from heaven, and who are foreigners in this world, think like people of the world? Why do Christians who are born of God do not often think like God their Father thinks? Sometimes, unfortunately, we are like the proverbial bat. The bat was forbidden from the company of animals, because it flies and yet animals dont fly in air like birds do. When the bat tried to join the company of birds, the birds also rejected it, saying that the bat has teeth, yet birds by nature dont have teeth like animals. Frustrated by both camps, the bat decided to move alone, at night! We children of God dont have to be like bats. We have a nature - the nature of God our father, and like a father like a son. We are not people of this world; neither are we people of the flesh. Thats why not even the best of the things of the flesh or of the world can ever satisfy us. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit (Jn. 3:6); "God is spirit, and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:24). If God is Spirit, and the Spirit gives birth to spirit, God the Spirit cannot give birth to fleshly beings. Think like the spirit being you are, a spirit being produced into this world by God Himself. The way you think is the way you will live.

God our loving Father eagerly wants His kingdom (the Heavenly way of life and living) to come and His will (to) be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10). But as people think, so are they. Much as God easily could, God wont do contrary to our thoughts or mindsets, for His working principle is "According to your faith will it be done to you" (Matt. 9:29); as a man thinks so is he. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom. 12:2).

Why does our mind need to be renewed, and how do we renew it? You are born of God and you are supposed to think like God thinks; instead you are thinking differently. You are born of the Holy Spirit and you are supposed to have a victorious mindset or thinking just like the Holy Spirit being from whom you come; instead you are thinking like a weak and defeated fleshly being. You came from heaven (where there is no scarcity or lack, failure or stagnation, where the devil has no control), and you are supposed to think like a citizen of heaven; instead you are thinking like a citizen of this poor and weak world? You are supposed to think high, but you are thinking low I cant, Its impossible scarcity, limitation defeatist thoughts.

In other words, our mind has been programmed with natural, weak, wrong and established attitudes of this world, instead of our mind being programmed or filled with the right, supernatural, strong, truthful and victorious established attitudes of God and heaven. In order to live the way God and people in heaven live, we need to think the way God and people in heaven think. We need to renew or reprogramme our minds by removing the negative seeds of our thoughts and filling the mind with TRUTH of God. It means replacing the wrong beliefs, thoughts, ideas, opinions, convictions, and prejudices of this world concerning ourselves, others, objects, activities, God, etc. with the right beliefs, thoughts, ideas, opinions, and convictions of God, of Heaven. We do this by taking in the word of God, and by meditating on, confessing and speaking it with the help of the Holy Spirit. We also do this by casting out any negative or contrary thought that comes to our mind, and then aligning them with what God says about the subject of that thought. Keep renewing your mind; its a process. Just like in these parts of our world youve to wipe the pews or chairs down with a cloth every day, in order to remove dust that gathers on them all the time, we also need to renew our minds in different areas every day. This is because every hour, even when we dont see it, our mind is constantly being attacked from every angle by all kinds of dirt - some of it coming from the devil and other dirt coming from the negative voices of the world and its news media all around us. To a child of God, there is really nothing that is news in this world, for our Father-God has already said everything about everything that can ever happen to or around us: I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (Jn. 16:33). Nevertheless, the enemy and the world will continue churning out lies it calls news, in order to have us change our minds and get confused or lose our faith. Youve therefore to keep renewing your mind, or else it will be changed by the accumulation of dirt, by the negative voices of the world. Renewing your mind isn't something that you will ever complete. We do it until the last hour we are in this world. In renewing your mind, lean entirely on the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to clean, lead and direct your thoughts. Ask Him to teach you, to enlighten you, to help you think as God thinks, to spiritually see things as God sees them. Without its Manufacturer (Gods Spirit) we simply cant change or

renew our minds. It takes the Manufacturer (God) and His manual (the Bible) to fix anything in the His product (the human soul). The Battle of the mind There will always be a conflict between your daily experience of real life and the tremendous promises of God, with each trying to drive out of our minds the other. There will always be conflict between Gods truths and what the world and the devil want us to believe. Thats why the mind is the centre of conflict. The greatest battle a believer will always fight is the battle of the mind believing the truth of God or the facts of the environment, the world and plain lies of the devil. The many reports we get from our environment and from the world of men are daily fighting it out in the depth of minds and thoughts with the reports we get from the word God. The word of God will often contradict what the world and every one around you is thinking and saying. Gods word will tell you that God heals all kinds of diseases; but science, your environment or even your experience will tell you, He doesnt heal all diseases; dont you know so and so who died from incurable HIV/AIDS? The word of God will tell you that give and you shall receive more, but the world will tell you that the more you give, the less you have, the more you keep, the more you have. The world will tell you, its impossible, but Gods word will tell you, all things are possible to them that believe. A frustrated prophet once asked: Who has believed our report? (Is. 53:1). Many reports will come to your mind on particular. The devil, the world and the flesh will all have their particular versions of the report, all trying to convince you to believe them. But choose to believe Gods version of the report, Gods word at all times. Even when Gods word doesnt seem to make sense to you and your circumstances. Believe God. He is not man that can lie! Thinking, speaking and walking in the truth is the only way to truly live a victorious life. Its good to lay our hands on sick people, as we pray for and with them, but Jesus, above all, says its the truth (not any other thing) that shall make you free (Jn. 8:32). Knowing the truth and walking in it is the only way to deliverance and freedom from all oppressions of the enemy and of the world. Thats why we are advised to tie around our waist, not with any other thing but with the belt of truth (Eph. 6:14). This simply means keep it as tightly close to yourself as you possibly can! Everything else you hear, feel or touch or which comes to your mind, have it filtered through the truth of Gods word, and whatever doesnt conform to the truth of Gods word, immediately throw it out. We get renewed in our mind day by day, by letting the Word of God dwell in us richly; and by the Holy Spirit teaching and leading us into all the truth. It is by the continuous absorbing of the truth of Gods Word into our thinking and speaking, that we are renewed and set free from the former faulty, corrupted and defeatist kind of thinking. Taking in and meditating on Gods word in the power of the Holy Spirit all day and night is the best way to renew your mind. Blessed is the man (whose) delight is in the law (word) of the Lord, and on His law (word) he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers (Ps. 1:1-3). Sing the truth of God and your song will become your life!

As a person thinks so is he! To think that there is not enough in this world (enough money, health, holiness, joy, peace, resources, or anything else - is to think that there is no God in this world. Its the highest expression of unbelief. Its to look at our outside environment and think that everything comes from the outside. Looking at our outside world or environment, rather than looking to God, is one of the greatest acts of lack of faith. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him" (Heb. 10:38). We live by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). Looking to the outside world or environment, we can only continue to see scarcity and lack, problems and mountains. But know it that nothing comes into existence from the outside (Heb. 11:3). Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights " (Jam. 1:16-17). If you believe that God is unlimited, and that everything comes from Him, then nothing is limited - resources or anything else. It is only limited in the human mind. When we open our minds to the unlimited potential, possibilities, riches and creative power of our God, we will experience a world of abundance. We are on this great planet earth, endowed with incredible riches of God and His power to tap them. Our thoughts or faith is the only limit to what we can create. If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes (Mk. 23:9, KJV). In the Kingdom of Christ Jesus, there is abundance of all things. There is an unlimited supply of everything we need in life. Ask the Lord to give you the ability to tap into His unlimited invisible supply through your thoughts and feelings, words and imaginations, works and whatever, and bring it into your experience. The best way to master our thoughts and master our mind is to learn to submit our mind to the control of the Holy Spirit. One of the things you thus ought to pray for every day, and through-out the day, is to ask the Holy Spirit help you put on the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16). The mind of Christ is the transforming power of thinking Christs thoughts. It means having the same attitude or mindset like God, over every matter. If we are to do the great things that Jesus did, if we are to live the miraculous and all-round victorious life as Jesus lived, we must think the same way He thought about every issue. Through- out the day, keep renewing your mind or re-aligning your thoughts with Gods thoughts (which are expressed in His words or scriptures). Plant the seed of prayer. Water it with sincere faith. Nourish it with positive thoughts, words, works and clear visualization of the ripened fruit. As you keep expecting it, leave the means to God and keeping praising and thanking Him. Gods word + your faith + your thoughts + your feelings + your imaginations/pictures + your words + your actions = your results, achievements, or manifested blessings. God bless you.
