Journey so far:
More than 1500 questions were answered in past 6 months. 300+ customers asked more than one question. Successful partnership with two vendors for footer advertisments. 8000+ likes on the companys facebook page. Front page article about the company and its management team in a local newspaper

Next 3-6 months:


SMS volume to increase to 2000 SMS per month! Raise capital for working capital requirement, marketing and technology expenditure for a year

Build team of 6-8 people to increase the visibility of Buzz and for Business development Collaborate with database companies

Next 12-24 months:


Get our own office Revenue share model with a telecom operator Invest in technology Develop a unique advertising strategy

c. What are your strategies to ensure competitiveness and differentiation? We look forward to tie up with a mobile operator as soon as we hit volumes! We will set the Buzz platform very soon and we plan to collaborate with database companies so that we dont start from the scratch We are in process of building a team. We have a stringent hiring process for search captains( people who provide answers). We have 2 levels of tests to maintain the quality of answers followed by a Personal interview We have a first movers advantage. We already have a platform laid and need to build on to it and improve it to make the service more effective.

d. What are your target market segments? How do you plan to acquire customers / generate revenues? Anyone carrying a phone is a potential customer of Buzzanytime. India has 900 million mobile users and still counting! Our target users are 13-35 age group. In Mumbai alone, mobile customers are around 26 million. This being a no premium service we accept an average of 5 SMS per month from a individual user. Even if only 1% of the 45% target users use our service: SMS/month = 5 * (1%*45%*26 mn) = 0.59 mn For phase I we wish to start advertising in Mumbai from May 2013 to Sept 2013 We wish to target Delhi and Indore in Phase II Sept 2013-April 2014 Our Revenue Models: Per SMS: Each SMS reply will contain a small paid advertisement.

Per Keywords : Will sell specific keywords to advertisers. Any question containing a paid keyword will get an associated advertisement in reply. Premium Advertising : Results shown in a reply can be ordered based on the slot purchased by a vendor. Option of tying up with mobile operators. 3. TEAM a. What is the current status of founders (working full time vs. part time, org chart / roles & responsibilities)? How and when will all the founders engage full time with the startup? Rashmi Mehta handles the Operation and Business Development for Team Buzz She is working full time on Buzzanytime but is also a part of an NGO where she teaches under privileged kids in Mumbai, She will be joining full time from March 2013 Anurag Arya- He Handles the Finance and Business Development for Team Buzz. He is currently working at Microqual Ltd as Finance Assistant - CEO but will be joining full time by March end. Amit Mehta- He has built the Buzz software from scratch and is heading the technology front, He is based out of New York and will be heading the technology team from there, he is always available on Skype and his joining as a full time Founder is not sure yet, he might join us after 6 months or a year b. How are the founders currently sustaining financially? How long can you go without receiving funding? Savings, We will be able to sustain for six months to an year. c. Please provide details about employees / interns Pooja Mehta: She is working as a part time search captain

d. What are the gaps in your current team (founders, interns, employees). How / when you propose to fill these gaps? Currently its only the four of us who are running the show. We had hired search captains on a variable pay model, but as the volume of questions is not very high they left. We need to hire a search executive and couple of search captains on a full time basis. Moreover we need a person for marketing and advertising who would promote the concept. 4. GENERAL a. If you are selected by Kyron, who will attend the 16 week accelerator program from the founding team at Bangalore?

Rashmi Mehta and Anurag Arya will attend the program b. How do you plan to utilize Kyrons initial investment of $10,000? Working Capital Requirement - $2000 Staffing - $4000 Marketing - $4000 c. We have received large no of applications for our first cohort and are considering admitting a couple of additional startups for the program. Would you be interested in joining the program without investment from Kyron (of course, we will not take any equity in your company and you will get all the program benefits including help in downstream funding? We would prefer the program with investment.
