ABOUT SCMS, NOIDA

Symbiosis has always catered to the growing need of students and has continuously contributed towards the development of shared values and common identity. With over 30000 on campus students, Symbiosis has today come a long way since its inception in the 1970s by Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Founder Director of Symbiosis and the Chancellor of the Symbiosis International University. It has provided the essential thrust to many students for doing something constructive for the Indian as well as international society.

Our endeavor has always been to strive for excellence, and Symbiosis today is rated as one of the finest universities in the private sector in India. .Our focus is to develop core capabilities and skills of the students and provide them with a competitive edge to create, share, and use knowledge effectively for their easy absorption into the industry.
SCMS, NOIDA campus has started with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and with future plans to provide higher education in management fields with the approval of SIU. It aims to become the most preferred, value based provider for management education and Research Centre for SIU. SCMS Noida is located in Delhi NCR region on the border of Delhi. It is only 14 Kms away from Connaught Place and 35Kms from Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi.

SYMAROH
SYMAROH, our Inter-college Fest, is the kaleidoscope of creative skills of the young and enthusiastic students to demonstrate their creative skills. It has been planned as a one day mega event full of fun and frolic and a showcase of the very best in the world of B-Schools and more. The event shall attract the best of talents from our sister Symbiosis Institute and the cream of academia. SYMAROH will be a huge gathering of students from best colleges across the Delhi-NCR. The target group at SYMAROH would be students who are looking forward to showcase their passion. This fest would consist of the coolest, motivated and enthusiastic people. This platform would give the participants an opportunity to unleash their hidden talents in the variety of genres ranging from creative skills to singing, dancing, and public speaking and finally rocking at the ramp. The event is sure to leave the fond memories for years to cherish.

General Guidelines
1. The participants are required to carry a valid Photo Id card of their respective Campus/University. Without Photo Id-Card the participants will not be allowed to participate in any of the events. 2. Participation for the events would be on first come first serve basis. 3. No extra time would be allotted to the participants coming late. 4. Each institute can send maximum two entries per event 5. The decision of the SYMAROH organiser Committee will be final and binding on all participants. 6. SYMAROH organiser Committee reserves the right to cancel any registration at any point of time during the event if the requisites are not provided. 8. Any behavior denigrating or being disrespectful to women is strictly prohibited. 9. The decision of the SYMAROH organiser Committee will be final and binding on all participants. 10. Usage of mobile phone while participating in any of the events is strictly prohibited. 11. SCMS, NOID A makes no commitment ,except as our specifically mentioned herein. 12. SCMS NOIDA reserves the right to make changes in any of the event if required. 13. The participants can send their form either by sending hard copy of duly filled up registration form at SCMS-Noida, Block A, Sector 62, Plot No. 47 & 48, Noida 201301 or by scanned copy of confirmation through mail on symaroh @scmsnoida.ac.in 14. Chitrakari: Poster Making

Life radiates itself from the spectrum of seven colors evoking different feelings and moods. Red, orange, and yellow make things look warm, even hot. They remind us of autumn. Green, blue and purple are cold colors. White makes things look lighter and black is the opposite. Lets see what the expressions and feelings you would like to portray when you get the ammunitions like brush and colors.

Rules and Regulations The team comprises of 2 members belonging to the same institute Theme would be given on the spot. The time allotted for the event is 45 minutes. The participants will have to carry their own material other than the chart papers. Use of mobile phone during this event will be prohibited. No helping images, pictures, portrait and the likes will be allowed. If found, the entries will be disqualified.

FACE PAINTING
How difficult it is when it comes to designing a face and at this point it makes us think what genius God is as he masters in de-signing faces. Well, here we give you a chance to share the same platform as him with just a little twist! Design and paint the face which can describe anyone and anything

Rules and Regulations

The team comprises of 2 members belonging to the same institute (two painters and one model). Participants are required to bring their own material. A brief description should also be given in the form of write-up (approximately 50 words). The Participants will be given 45 minutes. Painting should be done by paintbrush and sponge only. All paintings should be free hands. No stamps, no stencils and no airbrush.

A bit of creativity and a lot of insanity could get a long way in impressing the equally maniacal crowd around. So get your craziest. Wackiest and weirdest ideas together to fashion a brand new Tshirt and make others envy of having one

Rules and Regulations The team comprises of 2 members belonging to the same institute. The theme would be given on the spot. Time allotted 45 minutes. White plain T-shirt would be provided by the SYMAROH team. Members are required to bring their own coloring material. Painted T- shirts will be property of SYMAROH team and it will not be returned to the participants

The GOD of Small Things: Best out of Waste

Do you think you are resourceful? Do you think you can put the things at your disposal to the best use in the given time frame? And furthermore, can you sell it? If you think you can, this is the right contest for you!!!

Rules and Regulations The team comprises of 3 members belonging to the same institute. Time allotted is 30 minutes for preparation and 2 minute for selling. Common material would be provided to all the teams. Prepared products will be the property of SYMAROH team.

Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt is double edge sword. On one hand it can leave room for an abundance of creativity and fun. On the flip side, the more creative the planner gets, the quicker the process gets more complicated, causing an escalating feeling of being overwhelmed and a desire to quit. The team comprises of maximum 10- 15 members belonging to the same institute. The entry to this event is restricted to only one team per college. Each team will be given 20 minutes to perform. Costumes and props have to be arranged by the respective teams. Selection of entries will be on first cum first serve basis.

Rules and Regulations Duet Dance The team comprises of 2 members belonging to the same institute Time limit of maximum 5 minutes on stage. (Points will be deducted for exceeding the time limit). Costumes and props have to be arranged by the respective teams. The number of entries is restricted to 8 on first cum first serve basis. 2 copies of CDs for the event are required to be submitted to the event coordinators before 5 hours to the SYMAROH TEAM.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed latest by 25-feb-2013. (Points will be deducted for exceeding the time limit). The total time limit on stage is 15 minutes (inclusive of anchoring, if any). Points will be deducted for exceeding the time limit. Participants can choose any theme of their choice. Costumes and props have to be arranged by the respective teams. 2 copies of CDs for the event are required to be submitted to the event coordinators 5 hours prior to the event
