The SAP ECC Core 5.0 consists of the SAP_APPL 500 and SAP_HR 500 software components. In addition, SAP ECC 5.0 contains the PI 2004_1_500 SAP R/3 plug-in. This ensures the integration between SAP ECC and other SAP components. The releases of the PI and PI_BASIS software components are mutually dependent. They must therefore always have the same release number, extended with the release number of the underlying software component (for example PI 2004_1_500 and PI_Basis 2004_1_640).
