Father, our alabaster jar lays shattered even as the fragrance of worship is released. Our feet are covered with shards of fractured clay as we stand in this broken place. You tenderly pick up each sharp and slivered piece. You hold them as precious trea sures. You know their cost. Hardened pieces soften in the warmth of Your love. You remake us. You remold us. Jars of clay molded by the Potter fit once again for the use of a King.

A REFUGE FOUND
Father, You lovingly watch over my life When I fall You pick me up When I wander You seek me out When I cover my face in shame You lift my eyes to look at You Your eyes are full of compassion You know You see A bruised reed You will not break You are the Potter You form this clay into a vessel of honour You take away the shame You give beauty for ashes You breath upon the one battered from battle You bind up the wounded warrior You soothe the one bent in sorrow Awaits Those who find refuge Under the shadow of Your wings

THE LONG SILENCE

Do not hurry into the noise God waits for you In the long silent beats Of silence Linger long Away from this fractured world In reckless abandon To abide Surrendered to His sovereignty Morning by morning Where on bended knee He fills anew Spirit touching spirit We hear Him Serenading our soul As He writes our story Into song In seasons where Its hard to find the words The Lord your God is in the midst of you He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in His love He will exult over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

FIRED WITH GRACE

Learning how to sit Here Now Where I am With a grateful heart For what He has done Seeing life Reframed through The lens of gratitude I call out blessings Seen amidst the crucible Of chaotic places Filled with pain Marvelous Beauty molded In the kiln Fired with grace Shaped by the hands of God A vessel that Catches and pours Out the Light

A SOUL SEES
Darkness dims the sight Of eyes so frail That they no longer can see The way clearly Yet the divine pursuit Of a Christ-follower The people who walk in darkness Is like flames in the heart Seeking Searching That which cannot be seen By mudded eyes of humanity Burning like a compass Bright with hope Is the echolocation Of a soul that sees light And vibrates with the Sound of heaven Even in the midst Of earthly shadows Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. Isaiah 9:2

HALLOWED HUSH
The long sacrifice Of a life laid down So others can live The nail and the altar Lights and shadows Across the galaxy The hand of God Moves to pierce The dark Of sacred spaces And in the hallowed hush His flame burns In hearts reborn By the Living Word Called the Son of God

Heartbeat of letters That tells a story Of love Indescribable I have plans for you Undeniable plans to prosper you The Living Breath plans to give you For a soul that needs a hope and To breathe a future In the possibility Jeremiah 29:11 Of transformation As His story Saturates ours

PAINTED WITH LIGHT

Painted With Light Like the appearance of a rainbow The unfelt dance Of sacred sound so was the radiance around him. Moving to the Rhythm of grace of the glory of the LORD. As a thousand voices Whisper in the wind and I heard the voice of Supplications of the soul To the God-Who-Sees Ezekiel 1:28 Current moments Weighted with eternity As hearts look Through the lens of God Seeing the storms Painted with the light Of promise one speaking. . When I saw it, I fell facedown, This was the appearance of the likeness in the clouds on a rainy day,

HEAVEN BENDS
In the quiet Is the One Whom I seek As moments slow As candles glow In the gathering dusk A whispered invitation Of a desperate soul For grace For mercy To cover A heart calloused And pierced with pain In this sacred commonplace Heaven bends To kiss an earthly heart With peace Sometimes to find that which we seek, we must still. Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10

GENTLE WHISPER
God presses into moments Like water falling Upon parched places Turning Transforming The tattered and torn Weary for refreshment Where the land lays dry Infusing the reservoir Of the soul cupped Ready to receive The gentle whisper After the fire After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19:11-13

Father, in colourless moments I hear You whisper the sound of my name You invite me to come To a secret place Where You consume me by Your grace All moments of uncertainty Are wiped away As I gaze upon the beauty Of Your face My thoughts are laid to rest As I lean upon Your breast You raise Your voice In notes of song As angels hush in wonderment Only a human heart Saved by grace Hears this heavenly sound You quiet me With Your love
