1 non verbal clues:

Sweet smile of Preethi and speaking pleasantly with her boss Mr. Gaurav made him to think like Preethi showing flirty behaviour. Regular change in secretaries Arya figured out that something is wrong with Mr. Gaurav, in his behaviour with secretaries. Good looks of Preethi made Mr. Bhatia to assume that she will reduce the work load n will create a very relaxing environment. Preethi thought Mr. Bhatia is very workaholic person so she concentrated on her duties n work told to her by Mr. Bhatia.

2 meaning and function attached to behaviour

Different people have different perception about the behaviour. In the given case itself three people viewed and presume a same situation in three totally different way, like Mr. Gaurav who was leaning against the table, he was actually trying to develop informal environment. All he wanted was to

make Preethi feel comfortable at work. Also, when he was bending over her, just keeping a check that she noted down every point correctly or not. But, it was misread by Arya as she thought that Gaurav was acting chummy, which was not true. In addition to all this, seven secretaries had previously left job at Gauravs. According to him, he was just unlucky. Others took it the other way round. They thought that it was because of cheap behaviour, that his secretaries left him. This brings home the fact that a common situation may be undertaken by different people in different manners depending upon their perception, their social and cultural virtues and even the environment in which the event took place.

3 factor which led different meaning for same behaviour

Factors led to convey different meaning were body language, perception, mindset, interpretation, psychological barrier, semantic barrier and more

According to the case study there is a mental barrier, psychological barrier, perception of the people working in the organizational environment Arya Iyer who works in the organization perceive his boss as a flirty person who just want new good looking secretaries every time and when the new secretary Preethi came she was late and also was good looking so again she perceive the same about his boss but this was not real case with his boss he was very busy and confused about his thoughts and working schedule. Mr. Gaurav Bhatia who took Preethi as a flirty person due to her behaviour while Preethi was not she just smiled and spoke pleasantly to show she understood what was told by him about her duties and responsibility.

4 was one of the interpretation best? why

According to me this case portrait the views of three different persons on one situation. Reading the views of every individual in the case I would like to go with what Preethi interpreted . she interpreted best amongst three of them. According to her view point she presume Mr. gaurav as a very busy somewhat workaholic person. While the other two interpreted wrong. Arya wrongly interpreted

Gaurav intentions and thought of her as a cheap guy who want sweet young and nave secretaries. Gaurav on other hand considered Preethi behaviour flirty as she was sweet, speaking pleasantly and smiling as well while she was just trying to show respect to his boss and trying to convey that she understood well by smiling.
