SUPERVALU Inc., Chanhassen, MN 1997 to 2011 Director Training & Development | Project Manager, 2003 to 2011 Oversaw all aspects of budgeting, planning, and implementation of strategic training and development opportunities in Distribution for 1,145 leaders managing over 17,000 associates. Additionally, served as senior project manager obtaining sr. mgmt buy-in and leading cross-functional teams to implement and manage business change initiatives. Select Accomplishments: Assessed organizational needs and collaborated / consulted with HR and Operations leadership at 35 locations to develop solutions related to culture, associate performance, and leadership development. Directed the activities of 14 operations and training professionals (including external vendors) in the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs to increase leadership and work skills. Developed an award winning training and development program using a combination of case studies, on the job learning, stretch assignments, classroom training, on-line learning, and coaching / mentoring to meet specific organizational objectives, address gaps in performance, and build bench strength. Led project and cross functional team to drive Advanced Ship Notice (ASN) strategy for company. Trained and educated internal and external stakeholders on benefits and process to obtain buy-in. Developed processes that reduced operational expense for both the company and their customers.
