Meet Our Speaker….

the Nazarene, have two sons, both attending Northwest Nazarene University.

Chief Nursing Officer. She recently completed a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare
Administration and is presently working on a Masters of Science in Nursing.

Janet has spoken in a variety of settings, including small church groups, ladies’ retreats,
healthcare settings, and large corporations.

And there’s more!

Come Prepared
You may experience various weather conditions: consider bringing a light jacket, umbrella,
comfortable walking shoes, swimsuit, or other active wear. Other suggested items may include Bible
study items, pen/notebook, snack items, games, walkman/CD/personal DVD player, ear plugs, body
pillows, non-spillable/stand-alone room scents (check with your roommates first - no plug-ins or
candles).

Conference Check-In
Conference check-in begins at 5:00 p.m. and our first meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. - bring games and
snacks to participate in the Friday Night “Open House Room Roaming” Mixer after the session!

Saturday Free Time

There will be a variety of indoor/outdoor activities and shopping opportunities available during free
time. This year we are again including a mini-session on Saturday afternoon which we pray will bless
those who can attend. The session, led by Kim Jaquess of Heart Quest Counseling, is entitled
“Wounded Hearts.” The world we live in, even for Christians, can be a very painful place for those
affected by sexual addictions, loss of emotional intimacy in marriage and other related issues. Such
topics can be difficult to talk about or acknowledge, but perhaps hearing Kim share from her heart
and professional knowledge can be the first step toward healing for you or someone you love.

Centerpiece Competition
Each church is encouraged to bring their most creative centerpiece to go along with this year’s theme,
“Heart of a Woman” - there are no limits to imagination!
