Theresa Chesnut Theresa Chesnut is a Level One Trainer in Internal Family Systems Theory, having trained with Dr. Richard Schwartz. Affiliated with Castlewood Treatment Center for Eating Disorders for many years as Program Director and Lead Eating Disorder Therapist, Theresa is currently involved in the start-up of Castlewood's affiliate Monarch Cove Residential Program in Monterey Bay, CA. Theresa lectures nationally on therapeutic interventions targeting the entire eating disorder recovery process. For the past 20 years, Theresa has lectured on college campuses as well as to medical professionals about the symptoms and preventions of eating disorders. In-Service trainings for elite athletes, coaches and trainers are a focus of her professional outreach. Theresa's training includes a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas as well as serving on the staff at the Menninger Clinic. She serves as the Vice Chair for the Binge Eating Disorder Association (BEDA), and is a member of the San Francisco chapter of IAEDP.

Objectives: 1. Participants will recognize the basic terms used within the Internal Family Systems model. 2. Participants will observe demonstration of the IFS model. 3. Participants will apply the IFS model to help clients identify and unblend from eating disorder parts of Self.
