Cools Compressed Air

Pr e c o n d i t i o n s a i r f o r f u r t h e r f i l t e r i n g a n d d r y i n g !
Hankison air-cooled aftercoolers use ambient air to cool the hot air
leaving an air compressor (typically 180F to 350F [82C to 177C])
to usable levels 100F to 120F (38C to 49C]). As the air cools about
70% of the water vapor present condenses into liquid water which can
thenbe removed with a separator.
Economical, air-cooled aftercoolers use ambient air to remove heat
from the compressed air. Aftercoolers can be sized to cool the
compressed air to within 5 to 20F (3 to 11C) of the ambient air
temperature.
Aftercoolers can also be installed so that normally wastedheat can be
reclaimed and used (such as for space heating)
