Downtown Tallahassee Business Association & Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority to Host the First Saturday in the Park Jazz Concert in its 2013 Series
Bill Peterson Trio with Robin Sherman & Adam Hendley to Headline Jazz Concert this Saturday Tallahassee, Fla. The Downtown Tallahassee Business Association (DTBA) and the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority (TDIA) will host its first jazz concert in its 2013 Saturday in the Park Concert Series tomorrow, Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. EDT in Ponce de Leon Park, Tallahassee. Headlining the event will be the Bill Peterson Trio with Robin Sherman on bass and Adam Hendley on drums. The Saturday in the Park Concert Series is free and open to the public. Bill Peterson is an associate professor of Music in Jazz Studies and Music Theory/Composition at Florida State University, where he teaches jazz piano, jazz arranging and jazz combo. He holds the M.M. degree from the Eastman School of Music and the B.M. from the University of Cincinnati. In January 2013, Peterson released Ruby Diamond, a trio recording featuring Bassist Rodney Jordan and Drummer Jamison Ross, winner of the 2012 Kennedy Center International Monk Competition.
