Criteria to Apply
The Equal Opportunity in Engineering Program, along with student members of the National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and Pi Sigma Pi Academic Engineering Society, is pleased to offer MITE 2013. MITE is a FREE, six-day residential program at The University of Texas at Austin that offers current juniors with the opportunity to discover engineering through hands-on activities and interactions with engineering students, faculty, staff, and alumni. All applicants must reside in the United States and be current juniors in high school during the 2012-2013 academic school year. All applicants must meet at least ONE of the following academic criteria below in order for their application to be considered. ACT scores will not be considered. 1. Score a minimum of 600 on the SAT math section 2. Score a minimum of 60 on the PSAT math section 3. Rank in the top 10% of their class
Please save your essay & resume. If selected into the camp, students will be required to bring their essay & resume on a flash drive.

I understand that my son/daughter has applied to the MITE program and he/she has my permission to participate if selected. I also understand that MITE does not provide transportation to and from The University of Texas at Austin campus.
