3. Explain how the tax code allows depreciation to contribute to cash flow.

Although depreciation is not cash flow item but it affect the cash flow due to tax saving associated with depreciation expense. Depreciation expense is tax deductible and hence higher the depreciation expense lower is the income and lower would be the cash paid for taxes.
