0TCT_MC12: The MultiProvider 0TCT_MC12 is created based on the InfoProvider 0TCT_VC12. A MultiProvider offers better flexibility.

InfoCube: 0TCT_C01 InfoCube 0TCT_C01 is a standard InfoCube that contains front-end and query runtime statistics (aggregated). This InfoCube is used for monitors that display all the aggregated values of the front-end and query runtime for BI applications, BI application objects, and InfoProviders on the portal. It contains the average query runtimes and details for predefined runtime categories. You can monitor query activity and drill down to the navigation steps.

InfoCube: 0TCT_C02 InfoCube 0TCT_C02 is a standard InfoCube that contains detailed values for front-end and query runtime statistics. This InfoCube is used for monitors that display detailed values for the query runtime object.

InfoCube: 0TCT_C23 The InfoCube 0TCT_C23 is a Standard InfoCube that contains InfoPackage statistics or detailed information about InfoPackages that are executed individually or within a process chain. This InfoCube is used for monitors that display all the InfoPackage runtimes on the portal.

InfoCube: 0TCT_VC21 The InfoCube 0TCT_VC21 is a VirtualProvider that contains process chain statistics or detailed information about process chains and process types that are successfully executed. This InfoCube is used for all the monitors that display detailed information about process chain statistics and process statistics on the portal.

InfoCube: 0TCT_C21 The InfoCube 0TCT_C21 is a Standard InfoCube that contains process statistics or details of processes that are executed individually or in rocess chains.

This InfoCube is used for monitors that display all the process runtimes on the portal.

InfoCube: 0TCT_CA1 InfoCube 0TCT_CA1 is a basic cube that contains highly aggregated front-end and OLAP statistics. This InfoCube is used for monitors that display all the aggregated values of the front end and OLAP for BI applications, BI application objects, and InfoProviders on the portal. These statistics do not include the UTC time stamp details. EXAMPLE A query is executed three times a day, and you get three sets of BI applications, BI application objects, and unassigned records for each execution. After the data is loaded into the cube, the hour slot and UTC time stamp details are lost. You have aggregated the results of the three executions.

BW Statistics
Purpose
You use BW statistics to evaluate the fundamental functional areas of the Business Information Warehouse. BW statistics provides you with the following options that allow you to evaluate data from both the OLAP processor and warehouse management. You can: Get an overview of how InfoProviders, InfoObjects, InfoSources, source systems, queries, and aggregates are used Analyze system performance and improve it Improve the way in which aggregates are selected and used and reduce the effort of updating them

Integration
The following diagram gives you an overview of the data flow for BW statistics: The data in BW statistics is saved and managed in the Business Information Warehouse. When a query is executed, data is specified for the OLAP server and for access to the database. This data is saved temporarily once the navigation step has been completed. This is also the case if you use the ODBO (OLE DB for OLAP) interface. Additional data is collected when the aggregates are filled and rolled up after data is loaded into warehouse management. It does not take long to calculate and save BW statistics data. However, with larger installations the data set can be considerable. For this reason, you can activate and deactivate data entry individually for each InfoProvider in each area of OLAP and warehouse management. You can also delete saved data. (See Activating Data Transfers for BW Statistics) The individual InfoCubes are filled by the various InfoSources. This reduces the time required to stage the data. Extractors are used to load the data. The MultiProvider concept is used for reporting.

BI Administration Cockpit
Use
You use the BI Administration Cockpit to monitor the performance of BI systems in the system landscape. The BI Administration Cockpit provides a central point of entry and makes available cockpits and dashboards that provide real-time monitors and runtime statistics. It provides context-specific access to comprehensive reports and applications that help you identify and analyze issues. You can: Track the status of BI objects, BI operations, and so on Optimize the performance of BI activities Manage BI systems from one location, decreasing the total cost of ownership (TCO)

The BI Administration Cockpit allows you to navigate to the relevant BI systems, transactions and queries to analyze system performance and resolve issues without your needing to explicitly log on to any system.

BI Administration Cockpit (New)

Technical Data Function Is In Release New Software Component Assignment to Application Component Country Setting Component: SAP NetWeaver Release: 7.0

BW-BCT-TCT Technical Content Valid for all countries

Use
You use the BI Administration Cockpit to perform administration tasks in BI more simply and quickly. You can call the BI Administration Cockpit from the BI Administration 1.0 business package in SAP Enterprise Portal. It supports BI administrators in monitoring statuses and optimizing performance by providing an overview of the objects and processes in BI systems. It provides BI administrators with a central point of access that focuses on critical situations and allows them to navigate to more detailed information as well as error handling and optimization applications. You can also use the new technical Content, on which the BI Administration Cockpit is based, to create additional evaluations and reports. The technical Content has been enhanced in the following areas: Complete redesign of query runtime statistics Enhancement of data-load statistics to include statistics for process chains and data transfer processes Current data-load status of process chains and processes Current status of loaded requests

New InfoObjects, data flows and extractors have also been created. The new technical Content allows you to perform evaluations that the old technical Content did not offer.

Effects on Existing Data

The BI Administration Cockpit is based on new InfoProviders that are delivered with the technical Content. Essentially these represent an enhancement of the existing technical Content with one exception:

The query runtime statistics are updated to other detailed tables, offering a more exact evaluation. As a result, the following InfoCubes for statistics are obsolete as of NW 7.0: 0BWTC_C02 and 0BWTC_C03. Statistics that you created before the upgrade can still be evaluated with these InfoCubes, while the new InfoProviders are only available for query-runtime statistics that are generated after upgrading to NW 7.0. It is not possible to migrate old statistics into new InfoCubes. The new InfoProviders are: For more highly aggregated query-runtime statistics: 0TCT_C01, 0TCT_VC01 and 0TCT_MC01 These replace InfoCube 0BWTC_C02. For more detailed query-runtime statistics: 0TCT_C02, 0TCT_VC02 and 0TCT_MC02 These replace InfoCube 0BWTC_C02. For data manager statistics: 0TCT_C03, 0TCT_VC03 and 0TCT_MC03 These replace InfoCube 0BWTC_C03. For data-load statistics of process chains and processes: 0TCT_C21, 0TCT_VC21 and 0TCT_MC21 For data-load statistics of data transfer processes: 0TCT_C22, 0TCT_VC22 and 0TCT_MC22 For data-load statistics of InfoPackages: 0TCT_C23, 0TCT_VC23 and 0TCT_MC23 These deliver essentially the same information as InfoCube 0BWTC_C05 but they use the new InfoObjects. The remaining new InfoProviders also use the new InfoObjects. For the current data-load status of process chains and processes: 0TCT_VC11 and 0TCT_MC11 For the current status of requests loaded to InfoProviders, InfoObjects that have been updated flexibly, and PSA tables: 0TCT_VC11 and 0TCT_MC11 For use in combining both: InfoCubes for histories (not suitable for current status) VirtualProviders for current data MultiProviders.

Queries for the new MultiProviders are delivered with the corresponding Web templates. A workset of business package BI Administration 1.0 is also delivered with portal pages and iViews which contain one BI Web template each. These are components of the BI Administration Cockpit. You can also execute the queries and Web templates (with limitations) without the portal.

Effects on the Data Transfer

It is not possible to migrate old statistics into new InfoCubes.

Effects on Customizing
For the new statistics, you have to determine the objects for which you want to update the statistics and to what level of detail. You call this dialog from the Data Warehousing Workbench. It has changed completely from the previous statistics functionality. In addition, you can manually assign a priority to the queries, InfoProviders and process chains. This priority is evaluated in the statistics. This can be used to establish a ranking or to exclude objects from the display in a report.
