Blakes Why?

Alecias

When I was 8 years old I told my mom that I was going to be a missionary. Even at that age, I knew that there were people who didnt know about Christ, and I asked myself why wouldnt I go and tell them? Fourteen years later, at a college worship event, I began being burdened for the lost souls of SE Asia. God had already shown me why? as a child. It was a simple reason but I still cant get away from it. There are people who have never heard the name of Jesus and since I know, I should go. In the past several years, America has been made aware that slavery is still an issue throughout the world. Women across the world are enslaved by men who abuse them sexually.

Why?

Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world. The average Cambodian lives on $360 USD a year. This contributes to the epidemic of human trafficking that is spreading fast. My heart is broken for women who believe their worth is found only in the men who use them. They have no hope of a future outside of this lifestyle. With the saving grace of Jesus Christ, they can be free. They can be made alive again. They can find their worth in being a daughter of the King. And it is my desire to be used by God to bring this hope to the women of Cambodia.
We talk of the Second Coming; half the world has never heard of the first. - Oswald J. Smith
