Differenttypesofpower: Referent: relational influence derived through loyalty and charisma Expert: They know what they are talking about Legitimate: Position, they have the badge and must be respected Reward: confer value, e.g., your paycheck Coercive: application of negative influences, such as fear or intimidation Although many may choose to begin their leadership and derive their authority from one of these forms of power, not so the Christian leader. For their authority comes from G-d. As such s/he must learn to lead as Jesus has.

Acts 6:1-6 - Why were the seven disciples chosen? What were they to do? 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourself, therefore, under Gods mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Proverbs 25:6-7 Do not exalt yourself in the kings presence, and do not claim a place among his great men; it is better for him to say to you, Come up here, than for him to humiliate you before his nobles. First shall be last and vice versa Matthew 19:30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first. (also Mark 10:31) Matthew 20:16 So the last will be first, and the first will be last.

 All will be the same You have to begin to realize this now! We will all have the same reward G-d looks at us all the same so you should too Acts 10: Then Peter began to speak: I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. Romans 2:11 For God does not show favoritism.

ThroughLove Surely you have heard about G-ds love! There is nothing in this world that can compare to His perfect, unadulterated love. His love is for you, His beloved, His child, you are literally the apple of His eye! (Deut 32:10) How? you ask. When describing G-ds love most will immediately refer to 1

Corinthians 13, where Paul describes a life without love, and then proceeds to discuss the power of love. However, it is John the Beloved who is led of the Spirit to pin the tale of the donkey. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (1 John 4:16) Very plainly, yet full of truth, John states G-d is love! How, then, do we participate in the love of G-d? Jesus taught Nicodemus that you must be born again in order to enter the Kingdom of G-d (John 3:5-7). Nicodemus, perplexed at the concept, attempted to understand how a grown man could be born again. Jesus spoke of a spiritual birth that we initiate through faith when we are Baptized into Jesus Christ (born of water and of the Spirit). Thereafter, Christ becomes the conduit for which our access to G-d is provided (John 14:6). We grow in knowledge of G-d as we learn more about our Lord and savior Jesus Christ (John 8:19). Since G-d is love, we cannot receive and obtain His love without being in Him. Since our pathway to G-d is through His sacrificial lamb, we must live in Jesus to live in love. The Apostle states, If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God (1 John 4:15). This is the right of passage for every believer, that they acknowledge that Jesus is the Messiah, the anointed one. The acknowledgement can only occur when the Spirit of G-d lives in them. For this reason the Bible states that it is by grace we have been saved, through faith (Ephesians 2:8). The faith is birthed in the Spirits work in us. So we are born into Jesus and, since Jesus is in G-d, we are therefore in G-d. Consider the diagram below.

We are born into G-ds love. We enter into His love through baptism in the name of Jesus. We all have seen John 3:16; For God so loved the world . . . Talk about the scripture
