Choosing the Institute and the Course :


All the Institutes under the MM Group have a number of courses in various disciplines. Before filling up the Admission Form, the candidate is required to select the Institute in which he/she intends to pursue further study. The candidate is then supposed to choose the course in which he/she wants to seek admission. For example, the candidate who has passed Matric with Science and English can opt for 3-yr Diploma Course in Engineering ; 10+2 with Non-Medical can opt for any of the Technical Courses viz. B.Tech, BCA, BHM, B.Pharm; 10+2 with commerce group can opt for B.Com., 10+2 any group with English for BBA, etc. and those who have passed 10+2 with Medical can opt for MBBS/BDS, B.Sc.(N), BPT and so on. Out of the courses offered in this prospectus, except for those for which a separate prospectus has been prescribed, the candidate can apply for upto a maximum of four courses at any one University/Institute in one Admission Form.

How to apply:
The admission form can be obtained from the Administrative Office of the respective University/Institute on payment of Rs. 900/- (US$ 30 in case of NRI/Foreign Nationals). Those who want the Admission Form by post, should send DD of Rs. 950/- in favour of Registrar of the concerned University/Institute. The Admission Form can also be downloaded from the website of the concerned University/Institute. However, such candidates will have to enclose a DD of Rs. 900/- with the downloaded Admission Form.

Important Instructions for filling up the Admission form : 1) The Admission Form for admission to the course, duly completed in all respects, must be accompanied with the following documents: (a) A recent passport size photograph should be pasted at the space provided on the Admission Form with two additional copies to be appended with the Admission Form. (b) Attested copies of Matriculation/Secondary/Senior Secondary School Certificate or a Certificate of its equivalent public examination showing the candidates date of birth. (c) Attested copies of having passed/appearing in qualifying examination duly attested by the Principal of the School/College/Institution last attended by the candidate. (d) Character Certificate reporting on the inter personal/social behaviourial pattern of the applicant issued by the School/College/Institution last attended by the candidate. (e) Certificate of SC/ST/OBC/PH/ESM for statistical information or for getting the benefit of relaxation in age or marks in the qualifying examination or for reservation of seat at MMU Solan and MMU Sadopur-Ambala, wherever applicable. (f) Original Migration Certificate from the Board/University last attended (to be submitted at the time of admission or within 15 days from the date of admission).

(g) The candidate must mention his/her own and that of his/her Parent's, Phone/Mob. No. and email address at the space provided in the Admission Form. Any change in the contact number/e-mail address must be intimated to the Admission Office. (h) Certificate of Himachali for claiming seat under reserved category for Himachali's at MMU Solan. (i) Note : Certificate of Haryana resident for claiming seat under reserved category for Haryana resident at MMU Sadopur-Ambala. The candidate should intimate, on the proforma enclosed, the result of the qualifying examination and the result of JEE (Main)/CMAT/MAT/GATE (in the case of admission to B.Tech/MBA/M.Tech. course respectively) immediately on its declaration, if not already submitted.

Documents to be brought at the time of Counseling: After submission of Admission Form, the candidates are required to report for Counseling and Admission on the date and time indicated against each course provided in the Prospectus and bring with them the following original certificates for admission to the course concerned :

(a) Original Matric Certificate (as proof of date of birth). (b) Original Marks sheet/Certificates of qualifying examination on the basis of which the candidate claims for admission. (c) JEE (Main) Rank Card/GATE/MAT/CMAT Score for admission to B.Tech, M.Tech & MBA respectively. (d) Character Certificate reporting on the inter personal/social behaviourial pattern of the applicant issued by the School/College/Institution last attended by the candidate. (e) Migration Certificate (To be submitted at the time of counseling or within 15 days from the date of admission). (f) Affidavits against ragging to be submitted at the time of Counseling. (g) One set of attested photocopies of the above documents except Migration Certificate. Other Important Instructions for admission : 1) 2) Admission Forms which are incomplete or without copies of the requisite documents or received late, are liable to be rejected. All Admissions are made provisional subject to their Registration with the University concerned/ Examining Body after completing requirements as per rules/ordinances of the respective Examining Body. A candidate, who does not report for the Counseling in person on the date of Counseling as already notified, shall forfeit his/her seat. The fee is to be deposited at the time of Counseling. There will be no rounding of percentage of marks for determining the eligibility for admission to various courses. The admission to B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA will be made on the basis of merit of JEE (Main)/GATE/MAT/CMAT/qualifying examinations, as the case may be. In case two or more candidates in merit list have equal percentage of marks, the marks obtained in the next lower or qualifying examination will be taken into consideration for determining the merit. In case there is still a tie, the candidate senior in age will be given preference. The candidate possessing the qualification of qualifying examination from any Foreign University/Board, should submit equivalence certificate of their qualifying examination from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiuweb.org) NRI seats will be filled up only from bonafide NRIs and their children/wards, and the candidate seeking admission against NRI seats are not required to submit JEE (Main)/GATE/MAT/CMAT score card for admission to B.Tech., M.Tech. and MBA courses respectively.

10) If a student fails to attend his/her classes continuously for seven days from the date of commencement of the classes or from the date of admission, in case admission has been made after the commencement of the classes, his/her admission shall be cancelled without any further notice. 11) All disputes relating to admission of students or refund of fee etc. will be subject to Ambala Courts or Courts having jurisdiction at Ambala.

12) The candidates who have passed their examinations from any fake University are not eligible. In case it is revealed at any subsequent stage that any candidate has sought admission to any course of the University/Institution on the basis of the examination passed by him/her from any fake University, his/her admission shall be cancelled without any notice. The list of fake Universities is available on the website of the UGC or from the Academic Section of the respective University. 13) The Admission Form received late will not be considered. The University/Institute will in no way be responsible for delay or loss of Admission Form or Correspondence pertaining thereto, in postal transit or through courier services. 14) Candidate should specify the name of the course(s) to which the Admission is sought on the envelope in which Admission Form is sent. 15) Admission Form has to be sent/submitted to the ADMISSION OFFICE of the respective University/Institution at Mullana-Ambala/Kumarhatti-Solan(HP)/Sadopur-Ambala/Ramba-Karnal. 16) In case of refund of Fee admissible under the rules, a deduction of Fee will be made as under: (i) (ii) (iii) Within 15 days of Admission After 15 days upto 30-7-2013 After 30-7-2013 Rs.1000/Proportionate amount of Fee. The candidates of Diploma in Engineering-B.Tech integrated programme will have the option to move out with a Diploma in Engineering after passing three years of the course. Admission against 75% open seats will be made on the basis of merit of all India rank of JEE (Main). 25% management seats (including 15% seats, if any, for children/wards of NRI's) as also seats remaining vacant after first counseling will be filled on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination.

The candidates should have passed with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved category) in aggregate of B.Tech or its equivalent degree in the discipline of Engg./ Medical/ Dental/ Pharmacy or M.Sc. in all branches of Science or equivalent examination from any recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates with B.Tech BioTech, Chemical Engg., M.Sc. Chemistry & Biological Sciences. Non-Medical students will also be required to undergo a pre-requisite course in the discipline to be arranged by the University.

The candidates should have passed with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved category) in B.Tech. or equivalent Degree in any discipline of Engineering or Medical/Dental/ Pharmacy or M.Sc. in Physical or Biological Sciences or equivalent. The candidates should have passed Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks in the case of reserved category) or equivalent from a recognized University.
Note: Entrance Test will be held on 26-08-2013 at 10.00 AM in the concerned Department /Institute. Entrance Test will tentatively be based on the syllabi of Master's degree courses in relevant disciplines in Indian Universities.

Student fund for M.Sc. Nursing is Rs. 2,000/- p.a. and Rs. 1,500/- p.a. for other courses. University charges will be extra as per University norms. One time refundable College Caution Money is charged @ Rs. 2,000/- except in the case of M.Sc. Nursing for which it is charged @ Rs.5,000/Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. However, the security will be refunded if claimed within one year of the completion of the course. BPT/MPT students are required to pay annual charges @ Rs.3,000/- each. For MBBS course, the fee will be charged for 4.5 yrs. Two year diploma holder's seeking Admission to the MD/MS Course will have to pay tuition Fee @ 1.5 times of the Annual Fee as mentioned above. There will be an annual increase of 5% in tuition fee except in the case of MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS in which increase will be 10%. The above rates of Fee for MD/MS/PG Diploma Course are excluding one time Registration Fee of Rs. 10,000/-, caution money of Rs. 5,000 and University charges @ 8,000/- per year. 12. The student joining the dual -Degree/Diploma-Degree integrated program will have to pay the fee as applicable for the second integrated degree course at the time while moving into the integrated degree course . 13. REGULATIONS ON CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING


= is totally PROHIBITED in the University RAGGING and its institutions, and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with the Regulations framed and notified by the UGC and other Regulating Councils like MCI/DCI/AICTE, etc. as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force. = Regulations for Elimination of Ragging shall be applicable not only to the University and its institutions or any part thereof, including, but not limited to, the Departments, constituent units, Colleges, Centre of Studies and all its premises, whether academic, residential, playgrounds, or canteen, whether located within the campus or outside, and in all means of transportation of students, whether public or private, accessed by students for the pursuit of their studies in such institutions. = constitutes one or more of any of the RAGGING following acts: a) Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student; Including in rowdy or indisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student; Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely effect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student; i) d) Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher; Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students. Any act of financial extortion or forcefully expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students; Any act of physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person; Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher or any other student; Any act that affects the mental health and self-confidence of a fresher or any other student - with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student.

= are advised to collect a copy each of the Students Regulations of the UGC and respective Regulating Councils on Curbing the Menace of Ragging from the office of the respective Institution of the University at the time of admission. = Every candidate for admission shall submit within one week from the date of admission an Affidavit, duly attested by the appropriate authority, as per Annexure I, appended in the booklet, containing Important Instructions on Ragging Regulations which will be given at the time of admission, to the effect that he/she has not been expelled and/or

debarred by any institution and further aver that he/she would not indulge, actively or passively, in the act or abet the act of ragging and if found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, is liable to be proceeded against under these Regulations or under any penal law or any other law for the time being in force and such action would include but is not limited to debarment or expulsion of such student. = Parent/Guardians of the candidates for admission to any course in any of the Institutes of the University shall submit within one week from the date of admission another Affidavit on similar lines in respect of their wards, duly attested by the appropriate authority, as at Annexure II in the above mentioned Booklet. = seeking admission to any of the hostels Students forming part of the University or its institutions, or seeking to reside in any temporary premises not forming part of the University/institution including private commercially managed lodge or hostel, shall have to submit an additional affidavit, countersigned by his/her parents/guardians, in prescribed format as at Annexure I in the said Booklet within one week from the date of admission. = Every student at the time of his/her registration shall inform the institution about his/her place of residence while pursuing the course of study, and in case the student has not decided his/her place of residence or intends to change the same, the details of his place of residence shall be provided immediately on deciding the same; and specifically in regard to a private commercially managed lodge or hostel where he/she has taken up residence in Mullana or Barara or Ambala or at any other place in the surrounding area of the University. = The student concerned or any other person knowing about any act of ragging having been committed to any of the students on the institutional premises or outside shall

immediately bring the matter to the notice of the authorities of the University or the concerned institutes personally or on phone as given in the said Booklet without causing any delay to enable the concerned authorities to take appropriate action in the matter expeditiously. = MM University and its institutions assure While the to fully adhere to all the relevant Regulations on curbing the Menace of Ragging and to take all necessary precautions to avoid any case of Ragging with any student of the University and its institutions, the parents especially of freshers are also requested to remain in touch with their wards and promptly bring any instance of ragging to the notice of the Head of the respective institutions or any other functionary of the University or the concerned Institutes to enable the concerned authorities to take immediate appropriate action in the matter. = No leniency will be shown to any student involved in ragging. All the students are advised to note and co-operate in keeping our University and its institutions free from ragging.
