Although the desire to develop ourselves and increase our good qualities seems to be a beautiful intention, it is actually a limiting obscuration. For every time we have an idea of who we should be and we try to become that idea, what we are actually doing is engaging in violence against how we are now. We are saying: I am not good enough. I should be different from this. We now have a little time together to find a particular way of looking at ourselves to reveal a senseofthenatureofourownexistence.Iwillbetalkingaboutthisfromthepointofviewof dzogchenwhichisanaspectofTibetanbuddhism.
