Mar. 12, Tues.-Marie Dick, communications professor at St. Cloud State University, presents Speaking Peace: The Rhetoric of Lawrence Hart, Southern Cheyenne Peace Chief and Mennonite Minister at 7:30 p.m., at Elizabethtown

Colleges Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies. In her talk, Dick will discuss Harts life and work as well as the strategies he uses in his peace speeches. Mar. 12, Tues.-LAMS will be hosting the community event Mission: Possible: Preparing Your Kids for Public High School. The guest speaker is Mike Wenger director of TNT Youth Ministries. See the flyer on the bulletin board for more info. Mar. 13, Wed.-Community Lent Services-Series (Pastor Craig Snow speaking @ Gehman Mennonite). This is the last of five consecutive Wed. evening services that our church participates in, each held at a different church with participating pastors sharing various roles in leading worship. Worship services are followed by snacks & fellowship. Please join us as we welcome others here for that service. Mar. 13, Wed.-JGA, JBA and Jr. Youth will meet at the Bowmansville Mennonite from 7-8:30 p.m. Jr. Youth will be having a game night, JGA girls will be decorating eggs, and JBA will begin work on their rocket kits. Mar. 16, Sat.-Auction & Chicken BBQ at 9 a.m. at Ephrata Mennonite Church(Alive Church), to benefit TNT Ministry. All Proceeds benefit TNT Ministries in Ephrata, Akron, Bowmansville and Lititz. Mar. 20, Wed.-Sewing Circle will be held at Bowmansville Mennonite, morning and afternoon, all are welcome. Our special MCC project for the month are School Kits which include the following items:-4 spiral or perforated notebooks (8.5 x10.5 in. and 70 sheets)-1 ruler (flat, flexable plastic; indicating both 30 cm and 12 in.)-12 colored pencils (in packaging)(Sewing Circle will supply the regular pencils and erasers) Pick up or sew a double drawstring cloth bag in which the items are placedfrom your church or MRC. Following a concert in the GSV chapel at 10:30 a.m. ,by the Jacob Brothers youll have lunch with residents followed by a short informational presentation about living options at GSV. Primary responsibilities include managing the finances of the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society and the 1719 Hans Herr House and Museum. This person should have considerable experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Applicants must embrace Anabaptist Mennonite faith and be active in an Anabaptist congregation.
