Overview
Objective The purpose of NodeB capacity assessment is - to analyze the BTS resources usages at BH for all NodeBs of Vodafone UK RNC EH4 (except Micro BTS and non integrated NodeB) - to identify the resources that require a HW addition Inputs - NPO counters of load and blocking for W28-29 2010 Outputs CPULoad_CCM & CPULoad_CEM Assessment CEM R99 CE Assessment CEM HSXPA Resource Assessment HSDPA OVSF Code Assessment DL Power Assessment UL load Assessment IUB Assessment RNC #NodeB #Cells EH4 158 632
The capacity Assessment will allow VdF UK to understand the current capacity status of 3G access network

BH Definition
Two BH have been identified: BH_All = RB013_DLCsVoice + RB013_DLPS BH_HSXPA= RB013_HSDPA+ RB013_HSUPA BH_All is used to evaluate CPU Load CCM & CEM, CEM R99 capacity, DL Power, Ul Load BH_HSXPA is used to evaluate CEM HSXPA capacity, OVSF HSDPA codes, DL HSDPA Power (for mono Freq NodeB) IUB capacity is evaluated based on the max value of Received cells and Sent Cells of the weeks observed

(Scr#5 + Scr#6)/(Scr#4+Scr#5+Scr#6) formula allows to measure the ratio of congested TTIs from the total active TTIs handled by the board. Threshold value (10%) can be changed by VdF UK

Monitoring : The methodology is based on the following indicator at cell level and at BH_HSXPA:
DCTM001 : number of codes used of the total available HSDPDSCH codes (Case3) VS.HsdpaHSPDSCHCodesPerTTI.Avg/VS.NumHsPdschCodes.Avg HSDPA076_CR (extended metric): Code load computed when Fair Sharing is enabled (Case1)
HSDPA Code Management Parameters: Depends on the activation of Dynamic Code tree Management (DCTM) and Fair Sharing (FS) which are mutually exclusive
Case1: DCTM ON, FS OFF (all NodeB except RBS1711) RNC/ RadioAccessService/ DedicatedConf/ HsdpaCellClass/ HsPdschDynamicManagement/ maxNumberofHsPdschCodes: range[1,15] :15 in VdF UK RNC/ RadioAccessService/ isHsPdschDynamicManagementAllowed=True BTSEquipment / hsdpaCodeTreeManagementActivation= False
