How to disassemble hydrant

1. Discontinue water supply to the hydrant from block valve. 2. Separate the hexagon bolt from the operating nut with 8 mm hexagon wrench. 3. Separate the hose connector cap with the hydrant wrench and open the operating nut anticlockwise. 4. Turn the bolt & nut anticlockwise with the 24 mm spanner and separate them. 5. Separate the hydrant cover. 6. After separating the housing cover bolt with the 19 mm spanner, remove the housing cover. 7. Turn the operating nut anticlockwise from the hydrant rod and separate thrust ball bearing from operating nut. 8. After separating bolt from nut on housing with 24 mm spanner, remove the housing. 9. Separate the upper barrel with 24 mm spanner. 10. Turn the hydrant rod with seat wrench anticlockwise and separate the hydrant seat from the drain seat ring.

Cautions while disassembling hydrant.

1. Leave the separated parts on the protective mat while disassembling. 2. A pair of workers should do the job because it is too heavy for one person. 3. While assembling again after disassembly, lubricate with enough grease. 4. Fasten bolts and nuts tightly for the protection of water leakage.

Cautions while installing hydrant.

1. Bury it in the proper depth for the protection of freezing during winter. 2. Furnish enough pebbles and sand for drainage around drain hole and bury it. 3. Remove impurities inside pipes in order to protect seat breakage. 4. During trial tests, inspect water leakage. Check if there are impurities inside it.

Hydrant Rod Malfunction fasten bolts and nuts

Causes

1. Replace the cover O-ring 2. Replace the housing O-ring 3. Replace housing cover gasket or on the housing cover tightly. 4. Replace the rod sleeve 1. Replace the worn-out screw nut or hydrant nut. 2. Replace rod coupling pin or rod coupling.

How To Install.
Check if the valve disk in entirely open. Turn the rectangular nut on the top of post anti-clockwise and check if the position isopen the window. in Match the hole at the bottom in the middle of post indicator valve to be fitted on the bolt of gate valve. Connect the downside of post with gate valve by bolts. Wiring of tamper switch should be done when the valve is in full open position.
