com CCSD Human Resources Department: I am applying for a position as a secondary mathematics teacher, in the Clark County School District. As a 2013 graduate of Nevada State College, I have student teaching experience in Algebra I, Math APPs and Statistics. Since my student teaching took place at a Title I school, I had the opportunity to apply different techniques to meet the needs of the diverse student population. Before student teaching, I was K-5 teachers aide for special education. This position provided me the opportunity to implement differentiated instruction for all the students, not just those with an Individualized Education Program. Working with younger students has challenged me to be creative, nurturing, and most of all patient. While at Nevada State College I took classes on Special Education and English Language Learners to better myself as a teacher. Also, I tutored a student who was taking Calculus and learned different activities to use for gifted and talented. This will support me in ensuring that I am meeting the needs for all of my students. I am great at multitasking and am a quick to learn new things. It is my goal to combine my range of experiences with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to the CCSSD.
