Ask Terrapin!
Kellie Martin What is the Quint Pisgah Tournament? March 6 at 6:44pm

Thanks for the question, Kellie. The Quint-Pisgah Tournament is the yearly competition for Harry Potter week, modeled after the TriWizard tournament in the 4th Harry Potter book, Goblet of Fire. During the Magic & Mysteries week, all five units compete against each other in three tasks to see which can find the cup first. It's the best thing ever for our campers!

Meet the Staff

Each issue well introduce the amazing staff that will work hard to make this summer season AWESOME!! So without further ado, well kick it off with letters from our Camp Director and Ranger...
Hey Camp Pisgah! I am your Camp Director, Cuse. I hail from many places and have done many things in all my moons on this Earth! I love playing sports, most card and board games, satirical comedies and creating beautiful music. My favorite color is orange, but not street cone bright orange more like Autumn leaves burnt orange. My favorite movie in the whole wide world is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I am super amped about this summer and the great fun were going to have together!

Hello Everybody!!! I am Ranger Paul and this is my first summer at Camp Pisgah, but have been a Girl Scouts Camp Ranger for 15 years now. I retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service and have been a Camp Ranger ever since. I started my Girl Scouts career at the Chowenwaw Program Center in Green Cove Springs, FL and served as the Ranger at the Keyauwee Program Center in Sophia, NC for 13 years prior to moving to Camp Pisgah. I love the outdoors, woodworking, camping, fishing, hiking and spending time with my family and listening to the hustle and bustle of campers having fun. I live at camp with my wife, Candy, and my son, Sketch. My favorite quote is, "It is nice to be important but it is more important to be nice." I am extremely excited about my first summer here in the beautiful North Carolina mountains and at such a GREAT camp.
