TAKING A BLOOD SAMPLE

Preparation : The tray contains: Syiring with required size Cotton buds and sterile gauze in place Pedestal : waterproof and base fabric Torniquet Bethadin solutio Alcohol 70% Plaster & scissors Gloves kidney tray prepared syringes tub empty bottle and the cover Etiquette / label Personal protective equipment: suits and masks

Pre Interaction Phase : 1. Verify the order 2. prepare into nurse 3. Prepare tools

4. Prepare the environment: Maintain client privacy in the form of closed doors and windows III. orientation phase: 1. Give therapeutic regards 2. Clarification the time contract of taking blood sample 3. Explain the purpose and procedure 4. Give the client the opportunity to ask 5. Prepare tools in the near clients IV. Work phase : 1. Nurses wash their hands 2. Wear the suits and masks 3. Set a comfortable position for client 4. Exempt from the client sleeve shirt or shirt 5. Determine where the stabbing / vein to be selected 6. Attach pedestal under the puncture area / vein to be selected 7. Use gloves 8. Tighten the tourniquet 10-12 cm above the puncture area 9.
