Jumaa Prayer
for the Muslims of Africa and beyond
Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!
From one man [God] made every nation of men. . . and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, through he is not far from each of us (Ac 17:26-27) God, our Creator, has a claim on every person's life. He knows where each one lives and longs for each one to seek Him. Those who do will find Him! Let's pray this week for Muslims who seek the Truth.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students and Alumni

WEST AFRICA: Of the students who gathered for Jumaa Prayer this past Friday, more than half indicated that they have family members who are still following Islam. Please pray for these loved ones, that the Holy Spirit will powerfully speak to them and confirm in their hearts the reality and truth of Jesus. Pray for these students, who are patiently praying and ministering to their families, that the Lord will encourage them and help them to persevere.

In the News
LIBYA: One month ago we asked for prayer for four Christians arrested in Benghazi on 10 February and charged with distributing Christian literature and thus proselytizing, a crime that can carry the death penalty. They are currently in a Tripoli jail awaiting trial. During that week, several more Egyptian Christians were arrested. One, who suffered with a heart condition and diabetes, died on 10 March. Authorities also rounded up and detained about 50 Coptic Christian traders for a week, beating them and finally releasing them. Most were deported. Please pray for those being held, that the Lord will strengthen them. Pray that the Spirit will work in Muslim hearts and that the patient witness of these believers will bear eternal fruit. USA/IRAN: Last Friday lawyers from the American Center for Law and Justice and Naghmeh Abedini presented before Congress the case of Pastor Saeed Abedini, a U.S. citizen held in Iran for his faith. The State Department was conspicuously absent and to date has taken no action and made no statement. This past Monday Pastor Abedini's family in Iran was permitted to visit him, and he has been examined for internal bleeding. It is unknown whether he has been taken to a hospital as promised. Please continue to pray for him and for his family in Iran and the U.S. Pray that the Lord will move in the hearts of U.S. government leaders to press for his release.

From Global Initiative*

Pray for Christian witness to Chinas Dongxiang Muslims. They are the fourth largest group of Chinese Muslim peoples, and among the poorest and least literate ethnic minorities. There are very few Christians among them, and foreigners are not permitted in the area. Their language is now written, but there are no Scriptures or Christian literature available. For more information and prayer requests, see http://www.pray4hui.com/about/the-dongxiang/.

For Muslim Women**

Please pray for Easter outreaches that will be attended by Muslim women in many communities worldwide over the next couple of weeks. Pray that by attending and hearing the truth of Scripture Muslim women will understand and respond to the great love that the Father has for them.
