What do you need to run ATMdesk?

NCR ATM in the field run- ning under a legal NCR OS prior to booting ATMdesk ATMdesk Key Smart Card or USB Dongle with valid ATMdesk License ATMdesk GmbH physically provides only ATMdesk Key Devices, either Smart Cards or USB Dongles. The then current version of ATMdesk Software has to be downloaded from your personal account on www.atmdesk.com and written on to a Floppy or CD. Your ATMdesk Licenses have to be downloaded from your personal account on our website www.atmdesk.com into your ATMdesk Key Devices. ATMdesk Software from www.atmdesk.com on a Floppy or on a CD

You should have received from ATMdesk the ordered quantity of ATMdesk Keys (USB Dongles or Smart Cards), as well as a Username and Password to log into your account on www.atmdesk.com. Please check and should this not be the case, please contact support@atmdesk.com. Note: the screenshots here may differ a little from the actual website.

Load ATMdesk Licenses into your Key

Insert USB Key After login you will be re-directly straight to Key Check-In. Only if this is your first time on this PC, you might be asked to install Java first: Simply follow the link to Javas official website to install Java from there. It takes only a minute and is free of charge for you. Also, if you are running Windows XP and doing this for the first time on this PC, you might still not see your Key: Pls follow the link to install ATMdesks driver on this PC. For details pls see the Installation Manual. Once you see your Keys S#, Type of Licenses(s) loaded (if any), and your Keys Protection (if any), then simply mark the Type of License, enter the Quantity to load into your key, and press Load License to Key. After loading e.g. 14x Days you would then see: Now your ATMdesk Key is ready to authorize the use of ATMdesk Software on NCR ATMs.

Login & Download ATMdesk Software

The full version of ATMdesk Software is available from www.atmdesk.com after Login! Please log into your account with your Username and Password (please change the generated password after first login to your private Password), go to Download and click on ATMdesk/Pro/2/S x.x.x or zip-file for the self-extracting archive. Please make sure that your internet browser and your firewall or antivirus software allows the download. There are two options: (1) for CD or USB Stick, (2) to build a Floppy

Build a ATMdesk Floppy, CD or USB Stick ATMdesk

Please have a formatted Floppy, an empty CD or your ATMdesk USB Key ready and start (run) the self-extracting archive ATMdesk Builder. Depending on the available drives, the tool will offer a pull- down to select which ATMdesk Media to build (see ATMdesk/Pro/2/S Setup & Handling Manual).

Start ATMdesk on a NCR ATM in the Field

Visit a NCR ATM running under a legal NCR OS, insert ATMdesk Floppy (or CD), and press RESET to reboot the ATM from Drive A: (or D:). Next, when prompted, insert your ATMdesk Key (USB Dongle or Smart Card) to authorize the use of ATMdesk. Good luck with ATMdesk!
