ELGI operates from two start-of-the art manufacturing plants in Cbe India. It operates out of two advanced and sophisticated manufacturing facilities with R&D and CAD facilities, a totally integrated machine shop, CNC helical rotor cutting machines, tool management centres, and a metrology laboratory. The company has a dedicated manufacturing facility for world renowned brands. ELGI Manufacturing System is a customized blend of total quality management, total productivity management and Lean manufacturing. The result : productivity is up 51% and lead time to market has shrunk from eight weeks to just seven days. ELGI has collaboration and tie-ups with leading foreign companies, institutions and consultants that ensure the company remains at the cutting edge of manufacturing technology. It has a committed and technically strong team of 1100 with 325 engineers. ELGI has widened its global footprint by leveraging its off-shore manufacturing bases in China, Brazil and Sharjah (UAE). The company has started its Chinese operations in 2008 at Jiaxing, Shanghai to cater to the domestic market in that country. It has also launched a full-fledged assembly facility in Brazil and has also set up a warehouse facility in Middle East. In Europe the company has acquired Belair S.A of France, which is engaged in assembly, sales and service of industrial compressors, piping fitting and accessories for more than 25 years. ELGI has a vast network of sales and service outlets manned by well trained highly qualified and motivated engineers world wide. ELGI is a leading exporter of top blocks of reciprocating air compressors and airends of screw air compressors for OEMs and complete compressor packages all over the world. The company truly has a global presence with over 30% of its products reaching end-users and OEMs in USA, Europe, Australia, SE Asia and the Middle East. ELGI presently exports to 63 countries globally.
