Electronics and Business

The Perfect Combination of Technology and Business

A wide spectrum of technical knowledge and profound management, foreign language and soft skills this is what the Electronics and Business bachelors degree program has to offer. The distance study degree program allows students to study anytime and anywhere and flexibly structure their studies according to their individual needs. Compact curricula and an efficiently organized program with supervised online phases lasting several weeks and up to three short on-campus phases per semester make the program perfect for working students who are unable to attend courses regularly. In the first four semesters of the Electronics and Business bachelors degree program, students acquire comprehensive knowledge in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics and computer science. In the fifth semester, students select one of four specialization areas (telecommunications, embedded systems, industrial electronics or technology management) and acquire in-depth knowledge in their chosen field. In addition, students take subjects with a focus on business, personal development and languages. The combination of specialized technical knowledge and a comprehensive education in business and management gives graduates the ideal qualifications for managerial positions in the electrical engineering and electronics industry as well as in all fields of information and communication technology.

Heres How It Works!

The Electronics and Business distance study degree program combines online phases lasting several weeks with short, compact on-campus phases:
I

Two-day on-campus phase at the beginning of each academic year with an orientation session (introduction to the program, curriculum, learning objectives, teaching methods, organization, learning platform) and personal introductions

Seven-week online phase (twice per semester) in which the course material is covered interactively with the personal guidance of professors and eTutors. The program works with the web-based learning platform Moodle, which is easy to use and offers a high degree of flexibility and many possibilities for customization.

Two-day on-campus phase following each online phase in which students participate in exercises or take written tests. The bachelors degree examination is taken during the final on-campus phase in the sixth semester.
