National Annex to Eurocode 4: Design of composite steel and concrete structures Part 1-1: General rules and rules for buildings
_______________________________________________________________________

Foreword
In connection with the incorporation of Eurocodes into Danish building legislation to replace the Danish structural codes of practice, this National Annex was prepared in 2006-2007 to implement Eurocode 4 in Denmark.

Scope
This National Annex lays down the conditions for the implementation of the Eurocode.

Contents
This National Annex specifies the national choices prescribed in Denmark. The national choices may be in the form of nationally applicable values, an option between methods given in the Eurocode, or the addition of supplementary guidance. This National Annex addresses: Clauses where national choices have been made; All clauses where national choices have been possible; Bibliography: Overview of all National Annexes prepared.

Clauses where national choices have been made

Clause 2.4.1.2(5)P National choice The following value shall be used: V=1,353 The factor 3 takes account of the inspection level for the product and is defined in EN 1990 and stated in the National Annex to EN 1990 Annex F. The relaxed inspection level is not used. For the value V the following type of failure according to the National Annex to EN 1990 Annex F should be applied: V: Warning of failure with spare resistance For accidental and seismic design situations the following values shall be used: V=1,0 2.4.1.2(6)P The following value shall be used: VS=1,353 The factor 3 takes account of the inspection level of the product. The relaxed inspection level is not used. Tightened inspection level: 3 = 0,95 Normal inspection level: 3 = 1,00 The partial factors are determined in accordance with the National Annex to EN 1990, Annex F, where M = 1 2 3 4. 1 considers the type of failure 2 considers the uncertainly related to the design model 3 considers the extent of inspection 4 considers the variation of the strength parameter or resistance. When determining 1 the following types of failure have been assumed: VS: Warning of failure with spare resistance For accidental and seismic design situations the following values shall be used: V=1,0 2.4.1.2(7)P The following value shall be used: Mf,s=1,13 The factor 3 takes account of the inspection level of the product. The relaxed inspection level is not used.

Tightened inspection level: Normal inspection level:

3 = 0,95 3 = 1,00

The partial factors should be determined in accordance with the National Annex to EN 1990, Annex F, where M = 1 2 3 4. 1 considers the type of failure 2 considers the uncertainty related to the design model 3 considers the extent of inspection 4 considers the variation of the strength parameter or resistance. When determining 1 the following type of failure should be applied: Mf,s: Warning of failure with spare resistance For accidental and seismic design situations the following values should be used: Mf,s =1,0 3.1(4) The recommended values in Annex C should be used, unless a more precise analysis is performed. The following value should be used: V=1,353 For further information, reference is made to specialist literature. For further information, reference is made to specialist literature. Reference is made to the National Annex to EN 1993-1-9. Partial factors Ff for fatigue loading are given in the National Annex to EN 1990. The following value should be used: VS=1,353 The following value should be used: VS=1,353 The following value should be used: V=1,353 The following value should be used: VS=1,353
