This specification should be applicable to termination with accessories used for 22KV- single phase XLPE(EPR) insulated cable. II. STANDARDS OF MANUFACTURE AND TEST : - VDE 0278 : Power cable accessories with rated voltage up to 30 KV. - ASTM D2303 : Inclined plane non-tracking test method. III. DESCRIPTION : 1. Type : cold or heat shrink type used for terminate 22KV underground single cable, outdoor. 2. Technical characteristics of terminated cable : - Basic construction of cable : Single core concentric compact stranded copper, extruded semi-conducting EPR or XLPE compound conductor screen, EPR or XLPE insulation, extruded semi-conducting EPR or XLPE compound insulation screen, copper shield tape, binder tape and PE oversheath. - Voltage rating : 22 KV phase to phase - Core size : 500 mm2 - Thickness of cable insulation : 6.6 mm 3. Technical requirement : - AC withstand voltage : + 1 minute/dry : 55 KV. + 4 hours/dry : 48 KV - Partial discharge: + at 15KV + at 24KV : maximum 3pc : maximum 20pc

- Impulse voltage withstand : + 10 positive impulses : 150 KV + 10 negative impulses : 150 KV

- Non Tracking performance of outer insulation material : Minimum 400 minutes, no tracking , erosion through material or flame failure , under following inclined plane test conditions per ASTM D2303. - The termination shall be suitable for using in wet locations. 4. Accessories : 1 copper crimp lugs with two or four holes palm for copper conductor of 500 mm2 . IV. TESTING REQUIREMENTS : 1. Type testing items : AC voltage withstand test. DC voltage withstand test. Lightning impulse voltage withstand test. Cyclic current loading Continuous AC voltage test with cyclic current loading Corona discharge test on accessories Non tracking test.

2. Requirements : In order to ensure the quality of supplied goods , in case of bid winning , the Tenderer shall supply routine test and copies of type test reports met the following requirements : a. Routine test shall be performed for each equipment. b. Type test report shall be approved by an lawful, reputable, independent testing laboratory with the following content :

- Testing sample : the same as the supplied item (manufacturer, country of origin, manufactures code as specified in tender document). - Testing items : Including at least testing items as specified in Section IV.1 of this specification. - Testing values shall be corresponding values as stated in Section III of this specification. If in section III, there are no corresponding values, testing values will be selected according to the standard specified in section II of this specification. V. REQUIREMENT OF TENDER TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS : Detailed summary of deviations to inquiry specification. Completed inquiry data sheet expressed at section VI of this specification. Catalogues containing outline dimensions, electrical data and installation details. Certificate of quality management. Dimension drawings of cable drum. The proposal bidding has Type Test Report which meets the requirements as specified in item IV 2.b will be preferable .
