Psalm 110 and the Melchizedek Priesthood

hwhy has sworn, and will not repent:
You are a Priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Tehillim/Psalm 110:4

a The Book of Hebrews (originally written as a letter) is an inspired document of

highly relevant spiritual content. If we might use the word themes for a moment, the main themes of this book (all connected and interrelated in many ways) would likely be these five: 1. Rest/resting in hwhy Tzebaot (hwhy of Hosts1), the Sovereign Creator. 2. Drawing near to hwhy through the blood of eswhy. 3. The Melchizedek Priesthood and the Levitical Priesthood. 4. Yom Ha Kippurim (typically referred to as Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement). 5. Perfection/completion: Increasingly being/becoming doers of the Word as His Spirit writes the Torah of hwhy upon the hearts and minds of those who are continually seeking the Face of Elohim, His Kingdom, and His righteousness. We read in the Book of Hebrews that the Mashiach (Messiah) is now set forth/exalted as the High Priest of Yisrael after the order of Melchizedek and that He continually ministers before hwhy in the Most Set Apart Place, even as the Levitical high priest did but once a year on Yom HaKippurim across those many centuries in the various earthly Tabernacles of ancient Yisrael. New Covenant believers now draw near to Elohim through the blood of the Lamb, and continually find love, rest, peace, and joy in the Presence of hwhy. In the light of His Presence, we are transformed2 and Ruach haQodesh3 writes the Torah upon our hearts and minds.4 In the days of old, there were outstanding individuals who did many great things for the Name and Kingdom of the Most High, but through the current administration of the Melchizedek Priesthood, hwhy intends to make all of His people
1

hwhy of Hosts is the Commander of all the hosts of heaven (Sun, Moon, stars, messengers/angels) and earth (wind, waves/sea, the elements, demons, locusts, flies, frogs, lice, and even human kings and their armies). Those who are priests of hwhy of Hosts share with Him in His control over such forces in accordance with His will. 2 2Corinthians 3:16-19, Hebrews 7:25, 10:1, 14-22 (transformation is only for those who draw near) 3 The Set Apart Spirit 4 2Corinthians 3:16-19, Hebrews 8:8-12

doers of the Word5much more so than the spotty performance of the relatively few overcoming believers witnessed within the administration of the Levitical Priesthood. When we understand the spiritual power within the Melchizedek Priesthood, it also becomes evident that hwhy now expects to see widespread obedience to His Word/Torah as contrasted with the almost continual degeneration, apostasy, and punishment/captivity that were upon His people in the days of old. In pondering the Melchizedek Priesthood we are quickly and inevitably brought to Tehillim/Psalms 110. Not only is this psalm a song directly related to that preeminent Priesthood, but its lines are much-quoted in the Book of Hebrews. Tehillim 110 provides us with a prophetic revelation into the Melchizedek Priesthood.6 Having lived a life on this earth without sin, eswhy of Nazareth is now actively fulfilling the prophecies spoken forth in Psalm 110. And not only did the Messiah qualify to become a priest forever after the order of Melchitzedek,7 He actually became HaCoheyn haGadolthe Preeminent8 and Greatest Priest of the Melchitzedek Order. HaCoheyn haGadol9 is the ultimate position of leadership and preeminence over Yisrael and many translations render this phrase as the High Priest. However, we believe this title is more accurately translated as the Great Priest, or the Greatest Priest. Since the Messiah was the Unblemished Lamb, since He was without sin, death had no power over Him. And because the Savior of the world was without sin, death ultimately had no legal, spiritual claim upon the Son of Elohim.10 Thus, He was raised on the third day11 and ascended that morning to the Father to be accepted as the Wave Sheaf.12 Descending back to earth later on the very same day, eSwhy was seen that evening by the emissaries.13 And so it came to pass that, across the space of forty days, He would appear time and again to His talmudim (taught ones) speaking to them concerning the things of the Kingdom.14 On the fortieth day, He ascended, once more, and sat down at the Right Hand of hwhy. This was the day of His coronation as haCohen haGadol, the Great Priest. eSwhy was made a priest forever after the order of Melchitzedek. We read of this in Tehillim 110:

Matthew 7:24-27, Romans 2:13, James 1:22-25, 4:13 Hebrews 7:1-2. Hereafter, we will render Melchizedek as Melchitzedeka Hebrew name meaning, King of (Melchi-) Righteousness (tzedek). 7 Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 7:14-22 8 Colossians 1:18-19 9 Literally, the Priest, the Great. Thus, we prefer the translation the Great Priest over the more common rendering the High Priest. 10 Acts 2:22-24 11 Following death, human flesh begins corrupting after three days. So the prophecy in Tehillim/Psalm 16:10 (that the Mashiach would not see corruption) was prophetic of His resurrection before that time. 12 John 20:17 13 John 20:19-22 14 Acts 1:3

1 hwhy said unto my Sovereign, You sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool 4 hwhy has sworn, and will not repent: You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchitzedek. Psalm 110:1, 4 And this text is cited by the writer to the Hebrews: 5 So also, the Messiah exalted not Himself to be made a High Priest; but He that said to Him, You are My Son, this day I have begotten You.15 6 As He also says in another place, You are a Priest for ever after the order of Melchitzedek.16 Hebrews 5:5-6 As haCohen haGadol, the Great Priest, eSwhy now blesses the people of Elohim and places the Name of hwhy upon them,17 just as indicated/prophesied in the Levitical Blessingcalled by some the Aaronic Blessing or the Birkat Kohanim.18 So not only did the Messiah come the first time in His Fathers Name, He now intercedes on behalf of His people, imparting the favor of Elohim by continuing to place the Name/Spirit of hwhy upon those who draw near to hwhy through Him. This is how the Messiah eSwhy is now fulfilling His prayer-promise to continually make known the Name of hwhy to His followers: And I made known to them Your Name, and will make it known; that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. John 17:26 And this is in keeping with the Messiahs teachings that we are to uphold the Shema during our times of prayer, even as He taught in His words about praying in the Spirit: Our Father, who dwells in the heavens, Your Name be set apart: Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, in heaven and upon the earth. Matthew 6:9 Making known the Name of hwhy and His splendor is an important part of the Melchitzedek Priesthood. Thus, the present study is important as we expressly seek to better understand this Heavenly Priesthoodthe priesthood now being filled by those who faithfully answer the high call of hwhy in eswhy the Messiah.19 And the Spirit of hwhy is giving His people special light on this topic to heighten our understanding:

Psalm 2:7 Psalm 110:4 17 John 17:6, 11-12, 26 18 Numbers 6:22-27 19 Philippians 3:7-14

Part of our meditation will involve contemplations surrounding the lives of two men who the Spirit revealsto have been prophetic types of the Mashiach in His service as the Melchitzedek Priest: Yoseph (Joseph) and Yehoshua (Joshua). Those who answer the high call of the Messiah, and who remain faithful to hwhy by enduring to the end,20 will qualify to be placed in the category of called, and chosen, and faithful.21 These are the Messianic believers who will qualify to reign with the Messiah as king-priests within His Melchitzedek Priesthood across the fastapproaching, 1000-Year Era known as the Millennium.22 We now continue this study by reading about the Messiahs exaltation within the Melchitzedek Priesthood, even as it is recorded in Tehillim 110. Afterwards, we will proceed to study a number of topics related to this great and prophetic psalm. Readers are asked to take note of the great number of times and ways the Book of Hebrews makes the connection between the Mashiach and the many important topics/concepts that surround His Melchitzedek Priesthood. In relation to this Priesthood, the present manuscript will also ponder a significant number of Hebrew words and phrases that, not coincidentally, add to 110. Across a period of several years, the Spirit gradually revealed these profound number connections. More recently, though, it seemed as if a significant avalanche of these things were revealed. And since all of this occurred completely apart from any direct intention on the writers part to find such revelations, when they reached the point of being overwhelming, it became evident that now was the time we should go forward on finally finishing the present work. Before this study ends, we will see and be amazed over the many Hebrew words and phrases which add to 110 and, thus, which help us to better understand the Melchitzedek Priesthood ordained by hwhy. And through these Hebrew misparim/numbers we will better understand more of what hwhy intends through the administration of said Priesthood. What great proof the Most High is giving to the world that His Word is certain and true,23 further strengthening those who already have ears to hear and assuring them that they have everything to gain by staking their all upon the surety of His age-abiding Word. hwhy is the Elohim who counts, numbers, names, weighs, and measures. And He does this on every page of His inspired Word. We give praise and honor to the Most High for revealing His awesome Word to all those who seek Him.24 Finally, although many teach the Feasts of the Seventh month have had no fulfillment, the Book of Hebrews makes it clear we are now living in a protracted, ongoing Yom HaKippurim/Day of Covering (called by many Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement). For even as the High Priest entered the Most Set Apart Place once a

year on Yom HaKippurim, so the High Priest after the order of Melchitzedek has entered the Most Set Apart Place in the Heavens.25 And just as ancient Yisrael awaited the priests emergence on the Day of Covering, so we, too, now await the emergence of eSwhy, the Great Priest. This is the time that the Savior said His followers would fast26 (even as was done on Yom HaKippurim27). And when the Messiah comes forth from His time of atoning intercession in the Presence of hwhy, His wrath will be fully vented on all those who have still not repented. Thus, many weighty matters are before us. Even so, our ultimate intent in this work is to bring love, joy, peace, and strong encouragement to those who desire to seek hwhy with all their heart (and to those who may already be doing so). Now is given the reading of Tehillim/Psalms 110. Tehillim 110
A Psalm of David.

1 hwhy said to my Sovereign, You sit at My Right Hand, until I put Your enemies a stool for Your feet. 2 hwhy will send forth the rod of Your strength out of Tziyon: Rule in the midst of Your enemies. 3 Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in qadosh28 array. From the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth. 4 hwhy has sworn, and will not repent: You are a Priest for ever after the order of Melchitzedek. 5 hwhy29 at Your right hand will strike through kings in the day of His wrath. 6 He will judge among the nations, He will fill the places with dead bodies; He will strike through the head in many countries. 7 He will drink of the brook in the way, therefore He will lift up the head.

A Tale of Two Prophets To better understand the Melchitzedek Priesthood, the first matter to be pondered relates to two men who number among the prophets. We will contemplate the lives of two men who were prophetic types of eswhy the Messiah: Yoseph ben Yaacov30 (the man known in English as Joseph31) and Yehoshua ben Nun (the one most often referred to as Joshua32). The Spirit gives us initial indications that both men were
Hebrews 9:11-12, 24-28 Matthew 9:14-15 27 Leviticus 23:26-32, Acts 27:9 28 qadosh = set apart; the word usually translated as holy 29 Bullinger notes this is one of the 134 places where the sopherim (scribes) admit to replacing the Name of hwhy with Adonai. 30 (Joseph, the son of Yaacov) 31 The one referred to as Joseph in the book of Genesis. Genesis 30:22-25 32 The one referred to as Joshua. Exodus 33:11, Numbers 32:12

prophetic types of the Messiahand that they reveal more to us concerning the Melchitzedek Priesthoodsince both men lived to the age of 110: 22 And Yoseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his fathers house: and Yoseph lived a hundred and ten years 26 So Yoseph died, being a hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt. Genesis 50:22,26 28 So Yehoshua (Joshua) sent the people away, every man to his inheritance. 29 And it came to pass after these things, that Yehoshua, the son of Nun, the servant of hwhy died, being a hundred and ten years old. Joshua 24:29-30 That both of these men died at the age of 110 is not coincidental by any means. And through these related events, we are provided with an example of numerologyan Inspired occurrence of a specific number33 which provides us with clearly inspired results. In this case, numerology yields a revelation of inspired knowledge from the Scriptures. That both of these men lived to be 110 years of ageand all of this occurring many long centuries before Tehillim/Psalms 110 was ever writtencalls our attention to the fact that their lives were/are prophetic pictures of the Ultimate Melchitzedek Priest, the Messiah. All the days of every servant of hwhy are numbered, even as King David wrote in Psalm 139: 15 My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes did see my unformed substance; and in Your book they were all written, even the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:15-16 Likewise, the prophet Iyob (Job) indicated the Sovereign hwhy has numbered all our days: 1 Man, that is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble 5 seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with You, and You have appointed his bounds that he cannot pass. Iyob (Job) 14:1,5 Hence, we believe the Scriptures reveal the following things regarding Yoseph (Joseph) and Yehoshua (Joshua): Since both men died at the age of 110many long centuries before Tehillim 110 was ever written pertaining to the order of Melchitzedekthe Spirit is calling our attention to the fact their lives reveal important aspects of the Mashiach and His exaltation within the Melchitzedek Priesthood.
33

In this case, the number is 110.

We will compare the lives of Yoseph and Yehoshua with that of eswhy the Messiah, and we will not only be further instructed regarding the Life and Ministry of the Savior, but we will also be further edified in our meditation surrounding the importance of the Melchitzedek Priesthood and many of its particulars. Those who believe in the Messiah are ever seeking to better understand and walk in the ancient paths34those ageless paths which define the obedience of faith.35 And if we are operating under the Headship of the Messiah, then the spiritual principles we learn about the Melchitzedek Priesthood will further define our earthly sojourn through this present life, teaching us still more about the faith-walk which is most pleasing in the sight of hwhy. Shaul wrote something very important about those who wish to be justified so as to partake in the First Resurrection: the emissary indicated they must be doers of the Torah. For not hearers of the Torah will be justified before Elohim, but doers of the Torah will be justified. Romans 2:1336 The Messiah spoke likewise, indicating only those who keep and teach the Torah commandments would be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.37 Since all of the Law and the Prophets still apply in the New Covenant, our earthly sojourn with hwhy should be one in which we progressively learn how the age-abiding Torah applies to believers operating under the authority of the Melchitzedek Priesthood as we grow in our ability to follow the lead of its HaCohen HaGadol, eSwhy haMashiach.38

Yoseph ben Yaacov: The Prophet, the Suffering Servant, the Priest, the Exalted King, and the Shepherd of the Sheep When reading the life of Yoseph, one cannot help but be overwhelmed at the great suffering which he encountered. He was hated by his brothers who sold him into Egyptian slavery;39 he was falsely accused of adultery although quite faithful to his master;40 he was forgotten in prison by one to whom he had brought truth and encouragement via a correctly interpreted dream;41 and through all these sufferings, losing day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year precious moments which could have been spent with his father, Yaacov, and his brother, Binyamin (Benjamin). This immense loss was, perhaps, the greatest incurred throughout all of his sufferings; it was lost time which Yoseph would never regain

within his mortal lifetime; it was invaluable time which he would never recover on this side of the Resurrection. Yet Yoseph was a king and ruler in the making, and it was needful for him to endure these hardships and sufferings that he might acquire the wisdom needed to rule in righteousness.42 It was needful for him to share in the sufferings of the Messiah. It was needful for Yoseph to suffer affliction and persecution before he could enter into the realization of his dreamsheavenly dreams which foretold of a great future having been inspired by the sovereign Mind of the Most High. And these were dreams which could only be fulfilled by Yosephs eventual greatness and exaltation. Perhaps the greatest lesson of all was that Yoseph came out on the other side of pain a victorious man; he was made more than conqueror. He had became something he would have never been otherwise. And we believe Yoseph emerged in triumph because he had trusted in the Sovereign Hand of a faithful loving Creator43 who was also the loving Potter44the One forming the patriarch, through suffering, into the Image of the Invisible Elohim.45 Yosephs Dreams We begin this section by reading and pondering the account of Yosephs first dream. The name of Yoseph means hwhy adds/increases46 and we note this name has the same root word as the word translated more in the following text: 5 And Yoseph (Powy) dreamed a dream, and told it to his brothers, and they hated him yet the more (wpowyw).47 6 And he said to them, Hear now this dream, which I have dreamed. 7 Behold, we were binding sheaves in the fields, and behold, my sheaf rose up, and stood upright.48 And behold, your sheaves came round about and bowed down to my sheaf. 8 And his brothers said to him, Will you indeed be a king over us? Will you indeed rule over us? And they hated him yet the more (wpowyw)49 for his dreams and for his words. Genesis 37:5-8 Those who live and speak the Word of hwhy will be hated by those in rebellion. But as Elohim did with the brothers of Yoseph, the sovereignty of the Most High will oversee all the affects of the resulting persecution. And while it has already been indicated in a footnote, it is of great importance to note the sheaf of Yoseph arose and stood upright.
42 43

2Samuel 23:3-4 1Peter 4:19 44 Isaiah 64:8 45 Hebrews 1127 46 And in Psalm 81, the name of Yoseph actually appears in Hebrew with the three-letter, short-form of the Name of hwhy. The three-letter, short-form of the Name is why/Yahu- . In Psalm 81:3 we read, not Yo-seph (Powy), but (Powhy), Yahu-seph. 47 This word for more has the same Hebrew root as the name of Yoseph (Powy). 48 upright = yashar = rSy. It was because Yoseph walked uprightly, even in the midst of immense trials and persecution, that he would eventually be exalted above his brothers. 49 This word for more has the same Hebrew root word as the name of Yoseph (Powy).

The Hebrew word for upright is yashar ( rSy ). And it is more than interesting to note the total sum of this word. The misparim value of yashar is 510:

(mv) 510 = (200) r + (300) S + (10) y = rSy = yashar/upright And the place value of yashar is 51:

(pv) 51 = (20) r + (21) S + (10) y = rSy = yashar/upright This makes the total sum of this word (adding place value plus misparim value) to be 561:

51 + 510 = 561
But 561 is a permutation (a different ordering) of the same three digits which compose the misparim of Yosephs name:

(mv) 156 = (80) P + (60) o + (6) w + (10) y = Powy = Yoseph = Joseph The Spirit revealing that because Yoseph walked in uprightness (rSy/yashar) because he stood uprightly through faith in hwhy, even in the midst of immense trials and persecutionhe was eventually (though not immediately) exalted to stand as a sovereign ruler in the courts of Egypt: The sheaf representing Yoseph was said to rise and to stand/remain standing upright.50 And Yoseph was subsequently exalted (rising up) to not only rule over the heathen, but to rule over his brothers in precise fulfillment of his first dream! But we must take special note that it was through his uprightness that hwhy continually exalted Yoseph to rule on a greater and greater level. Both Yoseph and Daniel are examples of how a throne is established by righteousness;51 both men walked in uprightness before being exalted by Elohim to rule in righteousness over others.52 When the severe, Middle East famine later compelled Yaacov to send the ten brothers of Yoseph to buy food in Egypt,53 and when those ten bowed before him,54 his first dream had still not been completely fulfilled; for this dream required all of his brothers to bow before him.55 As difficult as it may have been for Yoseph to contain himself, he allowed the Word of hwhy to be his guide. So Yoseph orchestrated the retrieval of Binyamin, the youngest. And in the process, he worked to bring his brothers to repentance:

50 51

Genesis 37:7 Proverbs 16:12, 25:5, 29:14, Isaiah 16:5 52 Psalm 75:6-7, Daniel 4:17, 24-25, 32 53 Genesis 42:1-3 54 Genesis 42:6 55 Genesis 37:5-8

Even as he had been sold by his brothers for twenty pieces of silver, Yoseph used silver (in various forms) to call to account those who had betrayed him.56 When Benjamin finally came to Egypt, all eleven sheaves would bow before Yoseph.57 His first dream had been fulfilled and Yoseph could then reveal himself to his brothers. What a moving occasion this became as the true identity of the ruler of Egypt was revealed! Yoseph was alive! He had been promoted to rule over Egypt by the Sovereign Hand of the Most High Elohim!58 His first dream had been fulfilled! The Word of hwhy had come to pass! Yoseph had risen and stood upright! And hwhy would use this faithful man to preserve alive the seed of Yaacov (and Abraham) in the midst of a terrible famine as they found refuge in the supply of grain (overseen by none other than Yoseph) in that foreign land.59 Yosephs Second Dream At some later point (while still a youth in his fathers house), Yoseph was given a second dream, and he also relayed this revelation to his brothers and his father. 9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream: and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me. 10 And he told it to his father, and to his brothers; and his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I, and your mother, and your brothers indeed come to bow down ourselves to you to the earth? 11 And his brothers envied him; but his father kept the word. Breshit/Genesis 37:9-11 For some years now, the Spirit has continued to confirm that since Yosephs mother, Rachel, was already dead when this vision was given,60 the patriarchs second dream can only be a reference to his greatness and reward in the First Resurrection. For it was not possible that Rachel, who had long since died, could bow down to her son on this side of eternity. This being the case, the above Scripture becomes one of the strongest texts in the Torah and Prophets that prove the reality of the resurrection from the dead. Because others have wondered if the mother here mentioned could have been referring to Leah, the other wife of Yaacov, it seems necessary to further explain why this second dream must refer to Yosephs reward and greatness (as an exalted, Melchitzedek Priest) in the Resurrection.

1. The Splendor of the Sun, Moon, and Stars The language and concepts used as Yoseph describes his second dream are used elsewhere to describe post-resurrection events: The use of the sun, moon and stars, to describe Ya'acov, Rachel, and the eleven brothers. Shaul, the emissary, would later write of how a mortal body sown in corruption (buried in the earth61) would later be raised to incorruption in the resurrection, and he there indicated that it will shine with the splendor of a heavenly body (one like the sun, another like the moon, and still others like the stars): 36 You simple one, that which you sow is not made alive, unless it dies: 37 And that which you sow, you sow not that body that shall be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat, or of some other grain:62 38 But Elohim gives it a body as it has pleased Him, and to every seed its own body. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fish, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the splendor of the celestial is one, and of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one splendor of the sun, and another splendor of the moon, and another splendor of the stars: for one star differs from another star in splendor. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in splendor: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1Corinthians 15:3644 Still referring to the resurrection, recall how Yochanan (John) wrote of having seen the resurrected Messiah and His face was like the Sun shining in its strength: And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shining in his strength. Revelation 1:16 And eSwhy promised those who overcome would shine like the sun in their Fathers Kingdom: Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He that has ears, let him hear. Matthew 13:43

John 12:24 The use of grain conveys an earthly setting, as do the sheaves of grain in Yosephs first dream.

11

They Will Bow Down Before You According to his dream, the sun, moon, and eleven stars will bow down before Yoseph. Once more, referring to the greatness/reward of overcoming believers in the First Resurrection, the Messiah promises the following: 9 Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of those that say they are Yahudim (Jews), and they are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and bow down before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Revelation 3:9 While no one should think Yaacov, Rachel, and Yosephs eleven brothers were of the synagogue of Satan, we still see from this text how those believers who overcome through suffering will be greatly honored with the Messiah in the Resurrection. They will have attained to positions of rule, greatness, and widespread, public prominence. In his second dream, Yoseph was promised to be among this exalted group of priestly, Melchitzedek rulers; he will be a king-priest after the order of Melchitzedek. The Scriptures indicate Yoseph clung to that Word and promise of hwhy throughout his saga of severe and extended suffering which began at the time he was betrayed and sold as a slave by his brothers: 17 He sent a man before them: Yoseph was sold for a servant: 18 whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: 19 until the time that His word came: the Word of hwhy tried him. 20 The king sent and loosed him; the ruler of the people, and let him go free. 21 He made him sovereign of his house, and ruler of all his substance:63 22 to bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. Psalm 105:16-22 It is interesting to note that Yoseph was not only made ruler over Egypt, but he was also given rule over the house of Pharaoh. 2. The Sufferings of the Messiah The Messiah was required to suffer before He could enter into His splendor as the High Priest after the order Melchitzedek.64 Due to the many reasons seen within this present article, we assert that Yoseph was a prophetic type of the Messiah. The Word of hwhy states that, if we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him: 11 Steadfast is the word: For if we died togetherwe will also live together; 12 if we endure together65we shall also reign together ... 2Timothy 2:11-12

63 64

Genesis 41:40 Luke 24:25-27, Isaiah 53:3-12, Hebrews 2:9-10, 17-18 65 (i.e., endure through suffering)

12

And in advance of his being exalted to reign over Egypt, Yoseph did endure the sufferings of the Messiah: Yahudah/Judah66 was the one who suggested Yoseph should be sold to the caravan and eight of the brothers would eventually conspire to sell him for 20 pieces of silver.67 Yet it was Yahudah/Judah (Judas)68 who betrayed the Messiah for 30 pieces of silver. Not coincidentally, Yahudah/Judas adds to exactly thirty in Hebrew:

30 = (5) h + (4) d + (6) w + (5) h+ (10) y = hdwhy = Yahudah

Yoseph suffered physically and emotionally at the hands of his brothers and he suffered physically and emotionally when they betrayed him into the hands of Gentiles.69 The Messiah suffered physically and emotionally at the hands of the Yahudim and He suffered physically and emotionally after they betrayed Him into the hands of the Gentiles.70 Both were stripped of their garment(s).71 In Egypt, Yoseph suffered false witness72 and ingratitude73 although he had done no wrong to those who had wronged him. The Messiah suffered likewise: 21 For even to this you were called: because the Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 Who committed no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: 23 Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judges righteously. 1Peter 2:21-23 These are only some of the parallels between the sufferings of Yoseph and the sufferings of Messiah and there are still likely many more.

We now move onward to ponder some of the ways the life of Yoseph reveals more to us about the role of a Melchitzedek Priest.

Some of the Ways Yoseph Fulfilled the Role of a Melchitzedek Priest The Prophet We have seen how Yoseph was blessed with the gift of prophecy. Whether it was his own earthly exaltation to rule in Egypt,74 or whether it was his eventual exaltation to rule in the First Resurrection,75 the Spirit of hwhy revealed to Yoseph great things that would come to pass in the future. Yosephs prophetic understanding of events to come was also seen in the lives of the cup bearer and the baker: Each man had a verdict rendered over his life in accordance with the interpretation given by Yoseph.76 Three days after the dreams occurred, the cup bearer was restored to his position before Pharaoh while the baker was executed. Of course, this was also the case regarding those momentous seven years of plenty/abundance which were to be followed by seven years of a famine of the worst magnitude: Yoseph correctly interpreted the prophetic dreams of Pharaoh and so the patriarch was exalted to rule over Egypt.77 In this position of rule, Yoseph was used by hwhy to prepare for a devastating famine and to bless all the surrounding countries78 with life-giving sustenance: Egypt stored much grain in advance of the seven years of famine and many nations and peoples were preserved alive across the harsh and extensive dearth. The Suffering Servant We have seen how Yoseph suffered for bearing witness to the truth; his prophetic dreams were a significant part of the reason he suffered persecution at the hands of his brothers.79 But Yoseph also suffered persecution at the hands of his brothers because of the favor which his father had bestowed upon him.80 This is not unlike the Messiah, who was the object of the most immense outpouring of favor from His Father;81 yet it was this very favor which allowed eSwhy to do such great thingsfor which He was persecuted by the Yahudim/Jews82 and their leaders.83 And on many occasions, they sought to slay Him in a jealous hatred filled with false, unfounded, and misaligned religious zeal.84

The Messenger, the Shepherd of the Sheep, and the Ruling Priest We see Yoseph acted as the messenger for Yaacov; he brought reports of his brothers to their father.85 He was sent to inquire after the well-being of the older ten as well as their flock86 (which was really the fathers flock). This is much like the Messiah, who was/is the Messenger of the Covenant.87 The Messiah was sent by the Father to inquire after the well-being of the flock,88 to shepherd the people,89 and to gather the outcasts of Yisrael90 (even as hwhy gathered Jephthah of old91). For this, eSwhy was persecuted.92 Yet the messenger and the shepherd acted as the go-between and expressed great care for the flock. It became evident that, like the Messiah who would come after Him, Yoseph loved and cared for all his brothers and he sought to bring them back to Elohim and to unify them with one another.93 And this brings us to another aspect of the many amazing things about the misparim of Yosephs name; as we have already seen, the number of his name is 156:

156 = (80) P + (60) o + (6) w + (10) y = Powy = Yoseph/Joseph

Yet is it not true that Yoseph unified (dxa/echad/unity/one) his brothers in Egypt? 94 Acting in a priestly role, Yoseph was a peacemaker; and he reconciled his brothers back to Elohim and to one another. Yet the misparim for echad/unity/one is 13:

13 = (4) d + (8) x + (1) a = dxa = echad = unity/one

The Messiah spoke of the love and unity that would be known under His Priesthood,95 and the word hbha/ahava/love also adds to 13 in Hebrew:96

13 = (5) h + (2) b + (5) h + (1) a = hbha/ahava/love

Thus, thirteen is the number of unity/unification (and love).97 And is it not true that, through the patriarch Yoseph, the 12 tribes became 13 and the 13 became 12? And what did Yaacov say of Ephrayim and Menashsheh? 13 And Yoseph took them both, Ephrayim in his right hand toward Yisraels left hand, and Menashsheh in his left hand toward Yisraels right hand, and brought them near to him. 14

And Yisrael stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephrayims head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Menashshehs head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Menashsheh was the firstborn. 15 And he blessed Yoseph, and said, Elohim, before whom my fathers Abraham and Yitschak did walk, the Elohim which fed me all my life long unto this day, 16 the Messenger which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Yitschak; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth 20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In you shall Yisrael bless, saying, Elohim make you as Ephrayim and as Menashsheh: and he set Ephrayim before Menashsheh. Genesis 48:14-16, 20 Because Yoseph unified (13) Yisrael in Egypt and because his two sons became part of the tribes of Yisrael (wherein 12 became 13 and 13 became 12), we believe it is not a coincidence that Yoseph (156) is a multiple of 12 with 13:

12 x 13 = 156.
This is an inspired result that displays the great sovereignty and foreknowledge of hwhy El Shaddai and His choice of Yoseph and his descendants! Rule in the Midst of Your Enemies! The nature of a Melchitzedek Priest is that such a person learns to rule in the midst of the enemies by which he/she is surrounded. When Abram returned from his slaughter of those kings who had kidnapped Lot, we read what Melchitzedek (King of Salem98) said as he blessed the patriarch: 18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was priest of El Elyon. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of El Elyon, Possessor of heaven and earth: 20 and blessed be El Elyon, who has delivered your enemies into your hand Genesis 14:18-20 Tehillim 110 continues this same thought and it speaks of ruling over ones enemies in a very similar fashion: hwhy will send forth the rod of your strength out of Tziyon; rule in the midst of your enemies. Psalm 110:2

16

Only by Heavenly-ordained favor and Elohim-given strength can we prevail and rule in the midst of our enemies in a way that magnifies the Most High. This is strength to endure (and even to thrive) that can only come from the Presence of hwhy. And do we see Yoseph ruling in the midst of his enemies? We do. Though hated and wrongfully condemned and/or persecuted, Yoseph was exalted time after time: He was exalted in the house of his father Yaacov, even though hated by his brothers. He was exalted in the house of his master, Potiphar, and set in charge over all. He was exalted in the prison-house, and set in charge over all. He was exalted in the house of Pharaoh, being set in charge over all his house and over all the land of Egypt. And that hwhy strengthened Yoseph through his times of extended suffering was something expressly known and stated by his father, Yaacov: 22 Yoseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a fountain; his branches run over the wall. 23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and persecuted him: 24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong, by the hands of the Mighty One of Yaacov, (from thence is the Shepherd, the Stone of Yisrael), 25 even by the Elohim of your father, who shall help you, and by Shaddai, who shall bless you Genesis 49:22-25 That hwhy strengthened Yoseph out of Tziyon99 becomes apparent when we compare the misparim of Yosephs name with that of Tziyon. As we have already seen, the name of Yoseph adds to 156:

(mv) 156 = (80) P + (60) o + (6) w + (10) y = Powy Yet we are amazed to see the misparim of Yoseph is identical to the misparim for Tziyonthe mountain upon which Yerushalayim is established:

(mv) 156 = (50) N + (6) w + (10) y + (90) u = Nwyu = Tziyon (Zion) And that Yoseph ruled in the midst of his enemies is also abundantly evident from the record! 1 And Yoseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites, who had brought him down there. 2 And hwhy was with Yoseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that hwhy was with him, and that hwhy made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Yoseph found favor in

his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer 100 over his house, and all that he had, he put into his hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that hwhy blessed the Egyptians house for Yosephs sake; and the blessing of hwhy was on all that he had in the house, and in the field. 6 And he left all that he had in Yosephs hand; and he did not concern himself with any thing he had, except the bread which he ate. And Yoseph was of a fair form and of a fair appearance. Genesis 39:1-6 Through his humility and faithful service, Yoseph became the ruler over Potiphars house. Yoseph was ruling in the midst of his Gentile enemies; his character and integrity led to the patriarch being given the rule over people who are generally hostile towards Elohim and His Torah. And yet, even after Yoseph was falsely accused and imprisoned, the very same power to rule was given to him in his incarceration: 20 And Yosephs master took him, and put him into the prison, the place where the kings prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. 21 But hwhy was with Yoseph, and showed kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Yosephs hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. 23 The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand, because hwhy was with him; and that which he did, hwhy made it to prosper. Genesis 39:20-23 Of course, as Yoseph remained faithful and upright in what he had already been given, an even greater exaltation would soon come upon him, and this son of Abraham would eventually be exalted to rule in the midst of a very great throng of his enemies. Yoseph would soon be ruling over all Egypt and over all the peoples of many other nations; for the surrounding countries would soon come to him for food in the midst of a terrible, land-ravaging famine. But we should not get too far too fast. By comparing the wording of the above texts with that of Tehillim/Psalms 1, we believe the Word shows us Yoseph was exalted to prosper because of his day and night meditations on the ways of hwhy: Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the lawless, and in the way of sinners does not stand, and in the seat of scoffers does not sit. 2 But in the Torah of hwhy is his delight, and in His Torah he meditates by day and night. 3 And he shall become like a tree planted by the streams of

water, that its fruits gives in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does, He prospers.101 Tehillim/Psalms 1:1-3 Our prayers should be of a meditative quality as we bow before the Most High. Since hwhy is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,102 the Word indicates we should be doing much more prayer-related thinking in His Presence than most people might realize: We should think about how His Word and His promises relate to our petitions; we should think about how His powerful sovereignty is well able to answer our prayers in an infinite number of ways; and we should certainly think about how His responses to our petitions will eventually be revealed to be far, far beyond anything we could have ever imagined as we witness the answers to our prayers unfolding, not only in this life, but across the ages to come.103 And all of this asking and thinking should occur in His Presence as we bow in prayer before the Throne of Favor. The Messiah calls us to reign in this life in the midst of our enemies.104 And this Yoseph did in an exemplary fashion by being a vessel of kindness/mercy and forgiveness as he walked in emunahthat unwavering belief and expectation in the greatness and all-powerful, overriding will of a Sovereign Elohim and All-Loving, Faithful Creator. And we may be confident Yoseph will appear before Elohim in Tziyon as one who overcame.105 Through prayer, faith, and continual meditation, Yoseph bore up under unjust suffering. The Messiah suffered in like manner, and we are called to follow in His footsteps.106 Like the Messiahwho made intercession for the transgressorsYoseph acted as an intercessor for his brothers and led them to repentance, bringing them back to Elohim. And Yoseph lived out his days by feeding the sheep and nourishing all Yisrael in the land of Egypt: 19 And Yoseph said to them, Fear not: for am I in the place of Elohim? 20 But as for you, you thought evil against me; Elohim meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save alive many people. 21 Now therefore do not fear: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spoke kindly to them. 22 And Yoseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his fathers house: and Yoseph lived a hundred and ten years. Genesis 50:19-22
Because the wording is so similar to that of the Genesis account and the prosperity of Yoseph, we believe this He refers to hwhy. 102 Ephesians 3:20 103 Ephesians 2:7 104 Matthew 5:43-48, Romans 5:17, 6:12-14, 8:35-39, 12:14-21, 1John 5:1-5 105 Psalm 84:5-7 106 1Peter 2:24-25, Matthew 5:12-13

While Yoseph prophetically fulfilled the Messianic/Melchitzedek role of the Lamb picturing the Messiah as the Meek and Suffering Servantanother man would follow, and he would fulfill the Messianic/Melchitzedek role of the Lionpicturing the Messiah as the Invincible and Conquering King of Righteousness,107 subduing kingdoms and establishing Yisrael in the Land of Promise. This man was Yehoshua ben Nun, of the tribe of Ephrayimmaking him a direct descendant of Yoseph! Yehoshua ben Nun (Joshua): The Lion: The Conquering Prophet and King Some of the Ways Yehoshua Fulfilled the Role of a Melchitzedek Priest The Successor of Mosheh The successor of Mosheh was not a Levite; he was Yehoshua ben Nun, of the tribe of Ephrayim. This made him a descendant of Yoseph! We know Yehoshua (Yahoshua/Joshua) was of this tribe because of the list of men chosen to spy out the Land of Promise: 3 And Mosheh sent them from the wilderness of Paran according to the commandment of hwhy: all of them men who were heads of the children of Yisrael. 4 And these were their names 8 Of the tribe of Ephrayim, Hoshea the son of Nun 16 And Mosheh called Hoshea, the son of Nun, Yehoshua. Numbers 13:4-6,8,16 And beside the fact that Yehoshua lived to be 110 years of age,108 we have still other indicators his life was a prophetic picture of the Messiahwho will someday rule the nations with a rod of iron as a Melchitzedek King-Priest. Yehoshua ben Num was the immediate successor of Mosheh while eswhy the Messiahbearing the very same Hebrew Name as Yehoshuawas the Ultimate Successor of Mosheh. Of that Prophet who would succeed him, the Spirit of hwhy spoke this prophecy through Mosheh: 15 hwhy your Elohim will raise up for you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like unto me; unto Him you shall hearken; 16 according to all that you desired of hwhy your Elohim in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of hwhy my Elohim, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. 17 And hwhy said to me, They have well said that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, like unto you, and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which He shall speak in My Name, I will require it of him. Although this Scripture ultimately speaks of the Messiah, we must also realize the prophet Yehoshua was Moshehs immediate successor and hwhy did require it of all those who failed to give heed to the new commander of the armies of Yisrael. We see this through the prophetic Word spoken more than once by this ancient leader of our nation. The Prophet and the Conquering King Giving Prophetic Warnings and Working Signs in the Sun and Moon The Conquest of Yericho/Jericho Just prior to the conquest of Yericho, Yehoshua had strictly warned the people to hoard nothing for themselves which had been devoted to destruction.109 Achan disobeyed and hwhy required it of him. Achan and family were stoned for their sin.110 And after the conquest of Yericho/Jericho, we read the warning which Yehoshua spoke over anyone who would attempt to rebuild that city: 24 And they burned the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the House of hwhy. 25 And Yehoshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her fathers household, and all that she had; and she dwells in Yisrael even to this day, because she hid the messengers, which Yehoshua sent to spy out Yericho. 26 And Yehoshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before hwhy, that rises up and builds this city Yericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. Joshua 6:24-26 A man named Hiel, a Bethelite, failed to give heed to this warning and he suffered exactly what Yehoshua ben Nun had prophesied: In his days111 did Hiel, the Bethelite, build Yericho (Jericho): he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram, his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest, Segub, according to the Word of hwhy, which He spoke by Yehoshua, the son of Nun. 1Kings 16:34 Here we see hwhy certainly required it of those who did not give heed to the words of Yehoshua, the prophet who succeeded Mosheh. hwhy punished the house of Hiel according to His prophetic Word spoken through Yisraels commander.

Yehoshua and Yisrael Defend Gibeon Very early in the conquest of Canaan, the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Yisrael. When Adonizedek, the king of Yerushalayim, heard this it brought about great fear since the men of Gibeon were mighty in battle. So Adonizedek sent messengers to Hoham, the king of Hebron, Piram, the king of Jarmuth, Japhia, the king of Lachish, and Debir, the king of Eglon; and they all gathered in battle intending to destroy Gibeon. Gibeon appealed to Yehoshua for deliverance and hwhy delivered the five confederate kings into the hand of Yisrael. And what prophet is there who, when he speaks, is heeded by the sun, moon, and stars? During the battle to defend Gibeon, Yehoshua ben Nun spoke by faith and became just such a man: 12 Then Yehoshua spoke to hwhy in the day when hwhy delivered up the Amorites before the children of Yisrael, and he said in the sight of Yisrael, Sun, you stand still upon Gibeon; and you, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is this not written in the book of Yashar? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. 14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that hwhy hearkened to the voice of a man: for hwhy fought for Yisrael. Joshua 10:12-14 This battle is so significant because a major part of the victory had to do with signs in the Sun and the Moon. In the Last Days, just in advance of the Messianic Age being ushered in, the Melchitzedek Priest, the Messiah eSwhy, will speak from the heavens and command signs in the Sun, the Moon, and the stars to destroy the enemies of hwhy and to bring down the cities of the nations.112 As these great judgments fall, hwhy will be exalted in the midst of Yisrael and in all the earth.113 And from these widespread and destructive judgments, eSwhy will bring forth peace into all the earth. kings of Canaan for their gross immorality and that of the people over whom they ruled.115 The kings of Yericho and Ai116 were the first to fall before Yehoshua.117 Then, at the battle to defend Gibeon, Yehoshua led Yisrael in battle and struck through five kings in the day of the wrath of hwhy: Adonizedek (king of Yerushalayim), Hoham (king of Hebron), Piram (king of Jarmuth), Japhia (king of Lachish), and Debir (king of Eglon). But there were far more than five kings smitten before Yehoshua. We should ponder a lengthy text and count the number of kings which were smitten by Yehoshua as he conquered the Land of Promise in the day of wrath: 16 And these five kings fled, and hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah. 17 And it was told Yehoshua, saying, The five kings are found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah. 18 And Yehoshua said, Roll great stones unto the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to keep them: 19 but you stay not; pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; do not let them enter into their cities: for hwhy your Elohim has delivered them into your hand. 20 And it came to pass, when Yehoshua and the children of Yisrael had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, and the remnant which remained of them had entered into the fortified cities, 21 that all the people returned to the camp to Yehoshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Yisrael. 22 Then said Yehoshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring forth those five kings to me out of the cave. 23 And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon. 24 And it came to pass, when they brought forth those kings unto Yehoshua, that Yehoshua called for all the men of Yisrael, and said to the chiefs of the men of war that went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. 25 And Yehoshua said to them, Fear not, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage: for thus shall hwhy do to all your enemies against whom you fight. 26 And afterward Yehoshua smote them, and put them to death,118 and hung them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening. 27 And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Yehoshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the

Added to the 8 kings gives: 8 + 1 = 9 kings, total. 121 The king of Lachish was smitten earlier since he was one of the 5 who sought to destroy Gibeon. 122 1 king of Gezer. Added to the 9 kings gives: 9 + 1 = 10 kings, total. 123 The king of Eglon was smitten earlier since he was one of the 5 who sought to destroy Gibeon. 124 1 king of Hebron. Added to the 10 kings gives: 10 + 1 = 11 kings, total. 125 1 king of Debir. Added to the 11 kings gives: 11 + 1 = 12 kings, total.

destroyed all that breathed, as hwhy, the Elohim of Yisrael, commanded. 41 And Yehoshua smote them from Kadeshbarnea even unto Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even to Gibeon. 42 And all these kings and their land did Yehoshua take at one time,126 because hwhy, the Elohim of Yisrael, fought for Yisrael. 43 And Yehoshua returned, and all Yisrael with him, unto the camp to Gilgal. 1 And it came to pass, when Jabin, king of Hazor heard thereof, that he sent to Jobab, king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph, 2 and to the kings127 that were on the north, in the hill country, and in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, and in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west, 3 to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah. 4 And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the seashore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many. 5 And all these kings met together; and they came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Yisrael. 6 And hwhy said to Yehoshua, Be not afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time will I deliver them up all slain before Yisrael: thou shall hock their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. 7 So Yehoshua came against them, and all the people of war with him, by the waters of Merom suddenly, and fell upon them. 8 And hwhy delivered them into the hand of Yisrael, and they smote them, and chased them unto great Sidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining. 9 And Yehoshua did to them as spoken to him of hwhy: he hocked their horses, and burned their chariots with fire. 10 And Yehoshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms. 11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them; there was none left that breathed: and he burnt Hazor with fire. 12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Yehoshua take, and he smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; as Mosheh, the servant of hwhy, commanded. 13 But as for the cities that stood on their mounds, Yisrael burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Yehoshua burn. 14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Yisrael took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any that breathed. 15 As hwhy commanded Mosheh, His servant, so did Mosheh command Yehoshua: and so did Yehoshua; he left nothing undone of all that hwhy

commanded Mosheh. 16 So Yehoshua took all that land, the hill country, and all the South, and all the land of Goshen, and the lowland, and the Arabah, and the hill country of Yisrael, and the lowland of the same; 17 from mount Halak, that goes up to Seir, even unto Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon under Mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and put them to death. 18 Yehoshua made war a long time with all those kings. 19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of Yisrael, except the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon: they took all in battle. 20 For it was of hwhy to harden their hearts, to come against Yisrael in battle, that He might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that He might destroy them, as hwhy commanded Mosheh. 21 And Yehoshua came at that time, and cut off the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill country of Yahudah, and from all the hill country of Yisrael: Yehoshua utterly destroyed them with their cities. 22 There was none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Yisrael: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did some remain. 23 So Yehoshua took the whole land, according to all that hwhy spoke to Mosheh; and Yehoshua gave it for an inheritance to Yisrael according to their divisions, by their tribes. And the land had rest from war. Yehoshua 10:16-11:23 So approximately 22 kingsalong with an unnamed list of other kings numbering 9 or morewould give anywhere from about 30 to 40 kings who were smitten by Yehoshua as he fulfilled the role of a Melchitzedek/King-Priest. Yehoshua smote many kings in the day of wrath as hwhy punished the inhabitants of the Land for their rampant and heinous sins against the Most High.128 But we really do not have to estimate the number of kings slain since the Word of hwhy gives a detailed account of all the rulers who were slain by Yehoshua. And the number of kings is recorded to be exactly thirty-one.129 Thirty-one kings is an interesting number since, in Scripture, the title El is particularly associated with the vengeance of hwhy.130 Not coincidentally, El adds to 31 in Hebrew:

128 129

Genesis 15:16, Leviticus 18:1-30 Joshua 12:7-24 130 Per the Hebrew of Psalm 97:4, we read: El of vengeance! hwhy, El of vengeance, shine forth. Psalm 94:1 And speaking of the vengeance hwhy takes in His zeal/jealously, this title is seen once more: 4 You shall not make for yourself a graven image, nor any likeness that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them. For I, hwhy your Elohim am a jealous El, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of those that hate Me Exodus 20:4-5

Because of the Sovereign hwhy who was sitting at the Right Hand of hwhy on high, Yehoshua prevailed over all his enemieswho were also the enemies of Elohim because they had become carnal reprobates who had sunken into the deepest mire of abject depravity: hwhy 132 at Your right hand will strike through kings in the day of His wrath. Psalm 110:5 While Yehoshua struck through many kings in the day of wrath, we believe this Scripture ultimately speaks of the Messiah, who is the Son of hwhy and who is hwhy at the Right Hand of the Father in the heavenly Mount Tziyon that is over and above all things. Like the Yehoshua in the days of old, the Mashiachthe Ruling Melchitzedek (King of Righteousness) and the Great Priest over all Yisraelwill show Himself to be terrible/awesome to the kings of the earth133 as He arises to punish the world for its sins and as He holds world leaders most accountable for their failure to justly and righteously shepherd those sheep over whom they have been set: 9 Behold, the Day of hwhy comes: cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy the sinners thereof out of it. 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light; the sun shall be darkened in its going forth, and the moon shall not cause its light to shine. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity: and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. 12 I will make a man more rare than fine gold, even a man than the pure gold of Ophir. 13 Therefore, I will make the heavens to tremble, and the earth shall be shaken out of its place, in the wrath of hwhy of Hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger. Isaiah 13:9-13 Much like Yehoshua ben Nun of old, eSwhy will come forth from the Heavens and slay the unrepentant with the Sword of His mouth: 15 And out of His mouth proceeds a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of El Shaddai. 19 And the rest were killed with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which came forth out of His mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh. Revelation 19:15, 21
If this word, El, seems strange to our readers, many well-known names today are composed, in part, of this very word: Gabri-El (Gabriel), Nathani-El (Gabriel), Dani-El (Daniel), Micha-El (Michael), Ari-El (Ariel), Jo-El (Joel), etc. 132 Bullinger notes this is one of the 134 places where the sopherim (scribes) admit to replacing the Name of hwhy with Adonai. 133 Psalm 2:10-12, 76:11-12, Isaiah 24:21

In the Day of His wrath, the Messiah will smite through the lawless kings of the earth along with all others who have refused to repent of lawlessness. In the days of old, Yehoshua was the leader of Yisrael who smote through kings in the day of wrath as hwhy punished the inhabitants of Canaan for their rampant sins against His Kingdom. Even so, Yehoshua ben Nun was only a forerunner of the Messiah-Melchitzedek Priest who will soon cause Yisrael to once again inherit the Land of Promise (in an uncontested fashion) and exalt His people to bear rule over all the earth. The Shepherd of the Sheep Yehoshua was the shepherd of the sheep of Yisrael; he not only led them in battle against the enemy, but the successor of Mosheh134 fulfilled the role of a Melchitzedek/king-priest by being the spiritual leader and directing the hearts of the people into the True Worship of hwhy via the Torah of Elohim and His righteousness therein revealed. Yehoshua continually pondered the prophetic Torah of hwhy.135 Yehoshua prophesied of the parting of the waters of the Yarden/Jordan as Yisrael passed over into the Land to conquer Yericho. And it came to pass just as he said.136 As they entered the Land, Yehoshua circumcised Yisrael the second time and led them in keeping Pesach on the fourteenth day of the first month.137 At the conquest of Yericho, Yehoshua warned the people to hoard nothing that had been devoted to destruction.138 Achan disobeyed and hwhy required it of him. In the matter of Achan, Yehoshua sought hwhy and was then the instrument of justice as he proclaimed capital punishment over those who were worthy of death.139 Yehoshua built an altar to hwhy at Mount Ebal and wrote out a copy of the Law of Mosheh there. The Torah had already decreed kings should write out a copy of the Torah.140 Then Yehoshua fulfilled the Word of hwhy through Mosheh and caused the blessing and cursing to be pronounced from Mount Ebal as the people stood between Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim. And finally, Yehoshua read all the words of Mosheh to all Yisrael at that place.141 Yehoshua apportioned to all Yisrael their inheritance in the Land of Promise.142

And, thus, even Mosheh, although a Levite, was likely a King-Priest after the order of Melchi-tzedek. For we see him doing many of the very same things as Yehoshua. 135 Joshua 1:8. Compare Psalm 1:1-3 and Deuteronomy 17:14-20. 136 Joshua 3:7 - 4:24 137 Joshua 5:1-12 138 Joshua 6:16-18 139 Joshua 7:1-26 140 Deuteronomy 17:14-20 141 Joshua 8:30-35 142 Joshua 13:1-19:51

And even on the day of his death, Yehoshua spoke words which showed his complete trust in hwhy and His resurrection powerthe power of an endless life ever associated with the Melchitzedek Priesthood:143 And if it seems evil to you to serve hwhy, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the elohim which your fathers served that were beyond the river, or the elohim of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve hwhy. Joshua 24:15 While one would certainly expect to hear such words coming from the mouth of a person just being commissioned as a leader and anticipating service to hwhy across an entire lifetime, these were the words of Yehoshua spoken on the day of his imminent death; as such, they show us this mans unwavering belief in the resurrection. Death itself would not hinder this servant of hwhy from serving the Most High and feeding His sheep. And this Scripture text provides us with one of the strongest statements of faith in the resurrection seen anywhere in the Torah or Prophets. Ruling in the Midst of His Enemies

hwhy will send forth the rod of Your strength out of Tziyon:
Rule in the midst of Your enemies. Psalm 110:2 Like Yoseph, Yehoshua ruled in the midst of his enemies. Yehoshua defeated the nations who had etched in the annals a very long history of gross rebellion against the Torah of hwhy, and as the military and spiritual leader of Yisrael, he was used of the Most High to expunge those multitudes who were, thus, worthy of death.144 That this rod of strength came forth from the Heavenly Mount Tziyon is evident as Yehoshua encountered the Commander of the Hosts of hwhy just before Yisrael went forth to defeat Yericho.145 And like our Messiah, Yehoshua even ruled over death as he entered into that realm with faith in hwhy and with the expectation of a resurrection that would see his service to the Most High continue with the power of an endless life.146

We have seen how the lives of the prophets, Yoseph and Yehoshua, foretold of the Messiah, the Ultimate and Preeminent Melchitzedek Priest: Yoseph fulfilled the Messianic Role of the Lamb while Yehoshua fulfilled the Messianic Role of the Lion.

Yet there is far more in the prophetic Word of hwhy regarding this most instructive and all-important matter: Not only does Tehillim/Psalms 110 speak exclusively of the Melchitzedek Priesthood, but the Hebrew misparim/numbers reveal time and time again that the number 110 bears incredible significance regarding the Messiah and His exaltation to rule as HaCohen HaGadol the Great Priest in this Heavenly-Ordained Priesthood. As those who seek to qualify for rule within this heavenly Priesthood, New Covenant believers must understand and follow the Life, Example, and Teachings of our Mashiach. And the Hebrew misparim/numbers are also very instructive over this allimportant matter. We will see the change in the priesthood was never intended to bring a change in the moral codes of the Torah.147 For the Torah shall remain the Constitution of the Kingdom of hwhy across the immense time span of 1000 generations148the majority of which are yet to be seen in the great history of the world still to come as the Messianic Age unfolds beginning with the Millennium.

We will now proceed to ponder the Life of our Messiah and the importance of the Melchitzedek Priesthood over which He now resides as the Ruling Priest. In the process, we will encounter a significant number of Hebrew words and phrases that, not coincidentally, add to 110. The Pirke Avot is a collection of Rabbinic ethical sayings from the first and second centuries. And within the pages of these works, one ancient Jewish sage wrote this: Turn the Torah, turn it again and again, for everything you want to know is found within it. Pirke Avot 2:25 Scores of evidence that this is the case have now been seen and proven by many students of the Scriptures: the Hebrew words for fruit trees have been found to be encoded149 in the Creation account of Breshit/Genesis Chapter 1; the Hebrew words for the elements are encoded150 in a portion of the text in Isaiah that speaks of hwhy creating all things. And if the text of the Torah is set forth as a two- or threedimensional matrix (with more than hundreds of trillions of possibilities for rows and columns) then an inestimable wealth of hidden knowledge would be revealed which would show us the Prophetic and Infinite Mind of hwhy is simply beyond description. But we do well to remain in the tangible realm for the time being.

Hebrews 8:8-12, Matthew 5:17-20 Deuteronomy 7:9. Since we are only some 120 generations for the Creation, there is still a very lengthy epoch required to fulfill these 1000 generations. 149 (via ELS, Equidistant Letter Sequences) 150 (via ELS, Equidistant Letter Sequences)

And in the category of tangible, one of the main things which can be found in the Torah and Prophetsand something in which His people should have immense joy and exultationis a built-in Commentary Inspired by the Mighty Hand and Sovereign Design of the Infinite Mind of the Most High. Because the Hebrew letters have number values,151 by adding up the individual values of letters, each Hebrew word would then have a total value. We have seen the Spirit has inspired many instructive connections over various Hebrew words and phrases which add to the equivalent sum. Across a period of several years, the Spirit revealed many of these profound number connections over Psalm 110 and the Melchitzedek Priesthood. Since all of this occurred completely apart from any direct intention on the writers part to find such revelations, when they reached the point of being simply overwhelming, it became evident that now was the time we should go forward on finally finishing the present work. In the forthcoming sections, we will share these amazing words and phrases which add to 110 and which, thus, help us to better understand the Melchitzedek Priesthood ordained by hwhy. And through these Hebrew misparim/numbers we will better understand more of what hwhy intends for His people through the administration of said Priesthoodnow overseen by the resurrected and exalted Messiahthe One who is a priest age-abidingly after the order of Melchitzedek.152 The Messiah: The Son of the Right Hand The tribe and the name of Binyamin (Benjamin)153 foretold the Mashiach (Messiah) would be the Son of the Right Hand. When eSwhy ascended into the Heavens and sat down at the Right Hand of the Majesty on High,154 He also fulfilled the Word of hwhy in Tehillim 110:

hwhy said to my Sovereign, You sit at My Right Hand,

until I put Your enemies a stool for Your feet. Tehillim 110:1 Amazingly, by the Design and Providence of hwhy, the Hebrew word which we translate as right hand, adds up to be exactly 110:

(mv)

110 = ( 50 ) N + ( 10 ) y + ( 40 ) m + ( 10 ) y = Nymy = yamin = right hand

Not only so, it was prophesied that blood was to be placed on the tip of the right ear, the right thumb, and the right great toe to prepare the Levitical priests to act on behalf of hwhy:

151 152

See the misparim and place value chart at the end of this study. Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 5:6, 6:20, 7:17,21 153 Binyamin means, Son of the right hand. 154 Psalm 110:1, Acts 2:30-36, Ephesians 1:19-23, Hebrew 1:1-3

31

19 And you shall take the second ram, and Aharon and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the ram; 20 and you shall slaughter the ram, and take of its blood, and put it on the tip of the ear of Aharon, and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot; and you shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about. Exodus 29:19-20 22 And he presented the second ram, the ram of consecration; and Aharon and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram; 23 and one slaughtered it; and Mosheh took of its blood, and put on the tip of Aharons right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot; 24 and he brought Aharons sons near, and Mosheh put of the blood on the tip of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot; and Mosheh sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about. Leviticus 8:22-24 In turn, the priests would do likewise with Yisraelites who needed cleansing: And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot. Leviticus 14:14,25 And the priests would do likewise with Yisraelites who needing anointing: And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering: Leviticus 14:17, 28 In Hebrew, the particular word used for right in the above texts is not yamin ( Nymy ), but ye-mani ( ynmy ). Comparing ye-mani ( ynmy /right ) with yamin ( Nymy / right hand), we see these two words are composed of the very same Hebrew letters: YOD (y), MEM (m), and NUN (N or n). However, the letters are in a different order. Even so, being composed of the same four letters, this word also has a misparim value precisely equal to 110:

110 = ( 10 ) y + ( 50 ) n + ( 40 ) m + ( 10 ) y = ynmy = yemani = right

While we might derive many meanings from the blood/oil being placed on the tip of the right ear, the right thumb, and the right great toe, it is manifest that hwhy desires
32

His priests to exemplify the uprightness which He desires to see in all of His people.155 Thus, we ponder the implications of all three placements of blood,156 or oil,157 in respect to love-derived,158 Torah-based obedience to the Word of hwhy. The Right Ear One of the most obvious implications in blood being placed on the tip of the right ear relates to the need for an authentic priest to have ears that are cleansed to hear the Voice of the Most High. Abiding under the Melchitzedek Priesthood,159 Abraham was our forefather in hearing the Voice of hwhy, in walking before hwhy in faith and love, and in subsequently upholding the edicts of the Torah; the patriarchs ear was open to hear and obey: 4 And I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and will give to your seed all these lands. And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, 5 because that Abraham heard My Voice, and kept My charge: My commandments, My statutes, and My laws. Genesis 26:4-5 Abraham was a living fulfillment of the Shema even before that commandment was codified for all Yisrael. We are told all those who are of the faith of Abraham are heirs according to the promise160 and we see Abrahams faith led to his upholding the Torah of hwhy. Yet all those men of old who walked in a way that was pleasing to hwhy heard His voice; they all fulfilled the Shema.161 Isaiah spoke of having his ear opened by hwhy and the words we read are ultimately prophetic of the Messiah: 4 The Sovereign hwhy has given Me the tongue of the learned, to know to help the weary with a word: He awakens Me morning by morning; He awakens My ear to hear as the learned. 5 The Sovereign hwhy has opened My ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. 6 I gave My back to the smiters, and My cheeks to those that plucked off the hair: I hid not My face from shame and spitting. 7 For the Sovereign hwhy will help Me; therefore, I will not be confounded: therefore, I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed. Isaiah 50:4-7 In having ears to hear beyond any who have ever lived, the Messiah is shown forth as the fulfillment of this matter; of course, having ears that hear, eSwhy was also the most

Malachi 2:4-7 (for cleansing and impartation of the Ruach/Spirit) 157 (for anointing and a still greater impartation of the Ruach/Spirit for service to hwhy) 158 Exodus 20:6, Deuteronomy 6:4-5, 7:9, 10:12, 11:1, Daniel 9:4, John 14:15, 15:10, 1John 5:2-3, Jude 1:21 159 Genesis 14:18-20, Hebrews 7:1-10 160 Romans 4:13-18, Galatians 3:7-9, 14 161 Deuteronomy 6:4-5. qualified to teach the Shema162 as He declared it to be the greatest commandment in all of the Torah: And eswhy answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Shema (Hear) Yisrael, hwhy is our Elohim, hwhy is one: And you shall love hwhy your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:29-30 eSwhy the Messiah came to bring life and immortality to light through the Good News,163 and it is His very words which reveal to us the preeminent love for hwhy which the Most High desires to see burning in the hearts of all of His people. Love for hwhy opens our hearts and opens our ears to hear more of what He would teach us. As the prophets of old, if we have the Spirit of the Mashiach,164 then we, too, will hear His Voice, uphold His Torah,165 and gain the understanding of His ways166 that hwhy wishes to see in all of His people.167 The Right Thumb The author was in the process doing work on this article168 when the exact tip of his right thumb was inadvertently cut (deeply cut) on some scissors. How incapacitating was that whole ordeal: it made many normal activities extremely difficult, tedious, and time-consuming. In general, many tasks that required the use of the hands became very difficult. Without the thumb, one is crippled from accomplishing, from being a doer. So the right thumb relates to being a doer of the Word. And it is only through the doing of His Word that we gain the fullest understanding because hwhy will subsequently bless us with a greater impartation of His Spirit,169 blessing us with more wisdom and insight when He sees our hearts are truly inclined to hear and obey. eSwhy170 and His emissaries171 emphasized being doers of the Word,172 doers of the Law of Liberty,173 doers of His commandments.174 Armchair theologians may have a mental ascent to the goodness of hwhy and His Word, but it is only those who actively do His will who shall gain an understanding that will lead to life and reward in the First Resurrection.
In Hebrew, Shema means to hear. Hear is the first word of the greatest commandment. See the article The Messiah Teaches the Shema, at this link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/117823543/The-Messiah-Teaches-the-Shema

The Right Great Toe In Abrams first call to the priesthood, hwhy directed him to separate from his fathers house and other relatives: 1 Now hwhy said to Abram, Get you out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your fathers house, to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you will be a blessing: 3 and I will bless those that bless you, and him that curses you will I curse: and in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed. 4 So Abram went, as hwhy had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him. And Abram was a son of five years and a seventieth year when he departed out of Haran. Genesis 12:1-4 Priests are called to serve hwhy above all else, and that service may require separation from the family, as difficult as such separation may be.175 It is also noteworthy to show that the call of Abram not only came when he was 75, but that this very number is the misparim value for the Hebrew word Nhk/cohen, meaning priest:

(mv) 75 = (50) N + (5) h + (20) k = Nhk/cohen = priest

In Abrams second call to the Priesthood, hwhy stated that he should walk before the Most High and be/become perfect: And when Abram was a son of the ninetieth year and nine years, hwhy appeared to Abram, and said to him, I am El Shaddai; walk before Me, and come to be perfect. Genesis 17:1 The Messiah stated the same expectation over all those who would be of the faith of Abraham: they must walk before hwhy in uprightness, upholding His precepts and showing love and wisdom toward those who do not know Him: 38 You heard that it was said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, 39 but I say to you, do not resist the wicked. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 And he who wishes to sue you and take away your inner garment, let him have your outer garment as well. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks of you, and from him who wishes to borrow from you, do not turn away. 43 You heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy. 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those insulting you and persecuting you, 45 so that you become sons of your Father in the heavens. Because He makes His sun rise on the

wicked and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those loving you, what reward have you? Are the tax collectors not doing the same too? 47 And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Are the tax collectors not doing so too? 48 Therefore, be perfect, as your Father in the heavens is perfect. Mattityahu/Matthew 5:38-48, ISRV Does this last line not sound nearly identical to the Word of hwhy to Abram? walk before Me, and come to be perfect. Genesis 17:1 A call to walk before hwhy in uprightness is a call to the Priesthood of Believers.176 And many centuries after calling Abram, hwhy would later reveal some instructive words about His priests who were to walk before Him: 30 Therefore, hwhy the Elohim of Yisrael, says, I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before Me for ever: but now hwhy says, Be it far from Me; for those that honor Me I will honor, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed 35 And I will raise Me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in My heart and in My mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before My Anointed for ever. 1Samuel 2:30, 35 Without a big right toe, how well do you think a person could walk? The crippling effects of suffering such a fate was well-known in the days of old. Hear what the men of Yahudah/Judah and Simeon did to Adoni-bezek, ruler of the Canaanites: 5 And they found Adonibezek in Bezek; and they fought against him, and they smote the Canaanites and the Perizzites. 6 But Adonibezek fled; and they pursued after him, and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes. 7 And Adonibezek said, Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their food under my table: as I have done, so Elohim has requited me. And they brought him to Yerushalayim, and he died there. Judges 1:5-7 Adoni-bezek knew how disabling it was to be without thumbs and big toes. This is evident from the fact the kings which he, thus, incapacitated were left to scramble like dogs for food under his table. Our walk speaks of everything we do in life to serve the Most High and apart from having a cleansed right toe, that walk is hindered. Instead of walking in the counsel of the lawless, those with cleansed right toes are preparing themselves to walk in a lifestyle of uprightness via the secret counsel of hwhy177 and His Torah.178 hwhy stated

that Levi (i.e., the descendants of Levi) walked with Him in peace and uprightness and turned many away from iniquity: 4 And you shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that My covenant may be with Levi, says hwhy Tzebaot.179 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might fear; and he feared me, and stood in awe before My Name. 6 The Torah of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips: he walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and turned many away from iniquity. 7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the Torah at his mouth; for he is the messenger of hwhy Tzebaot.180 Malachi 2:4-7 And what is the connection between the priests and the special title which hwhy places with His Name: hwhy Tzebaot or hwhy of Hosts? The title is first revealed in 1Samuel 1:3: And this man went up out of his city from year to year to worship and to sacrifice to hwhy Tzebaot in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Chophni and Phinechas, priests to hwhy, were there. 1Samuel 1:3 This title is used the second time by a woman of faith named Channaha believer who was soon-to-be the mother of a faithful priest.181 In its third mention, this title is not only used in relation to the priests, but the fact that hwhy dwells between the cherubim is also there noted.182 This is significant since the cherubim number amongst the host of heaven. The fourth time we see the title, hwhy Tzebaot, it is being spoken by the priest, Samuel, and we hear Elohim has been stirred to vengeance against the spirit of murder which Amalek vented on His people Yisrael.183 And the fifth time we see the title hwhy Tzebaot, it is being spoken by the soon-to-be king-priest,184 David, as he comes to do battle with Goliath in the Name of hwhy Tzebaot, the Elohim of the armies of Yisrael who the Philistine had scorned/defied. In speaking the title compounded with the Qadosh Name (hwhy), David was expressing his faith in the One who sat between the cherubim and who surely commanded the hosts of the armies of heaven. Knowing hwhy Tzebaot commanded all the host of heaven, David also knew that he had much more than a majority with him to battle against the Philistine. And if there is further doubt of the connection between the title, hwhy Tzebaot, and His priests, the Hebrew misparim also make this connection both direct and obvious. We show, once more, the misparim of Nhk/cohen, meaning priest:
179 180

YHWH of Hosts YHWH of Hosts 181 1Samuel 1:11 182 1Samuel 4:4 183 1Samuel 1:11 184 David had been recently anointed by Samuel, the priest (1Samuel 16:1-13) and he would eventually author Psalm 110.

37

(mv) 75 = (50) N + (5) h + (20) k = Nhk/cohen = priest

And then we note the place value of the title formed by compounding the Hebrew word, twabu/tze-ba-ot/hosts with the Qadosh Name/hwhy:

= twabu hwhy = hwhy Tzebaot = YHWH of Hosts

(pv) 75 = (22) t + (6) w + (1) a + (2) b + (18) u + (5) h + (6) w + (5) h+ (10) y That the two numbers are both 75 is not coincidental: the priests of hwhy Tzebaot have the help and the power of the Most High along with all the hosts which are at His command.185 And this entire discussion further explains why the title is so frequently used by Malachi when hwhy is speaking to/rebuking the priests.186

Yet the Ultimate Priest (75) is the One we now know to be hwhy Tzebaot (75), and while He walked on the earth, eSwhy commanded the hosts and they all obeyed Him: He turned water to wine;187 He walked on the water;188 He commanded the wind and waves and they complied;189 He had might over the forces of death; and, of course, the power of His Presence absolutely terrified the most ferocious and destructive demonic forces.190 And very soon, this Conquering Lion will command the hosts of heaven and earth to judge the world for its lawless rebellion against the Kingdom of Light: The Sun will scorch men with heat, hurling forth fire and brimstone upon the lawless;191 apocalyptic cataclysms will ensue as tidal waves, volcanoes, earthquakes and meteorites destroy the nations which have refused to submit to the Son of the Most High; and even locust-like creatures will be called forth from the abyss192 by hwhy of Hosts to punish the unrepentant. The right ear, the right thumb, and the right big toethe emphasis on the right side of the body points to the power of an endless life193 which would be manifested by the Mashiach of Elohim. So all of these inspired, prophetic things ultimately prophesied of the One who would be HaCohen haGadol, set at the Right Hand of the Majesty on High as the Great Priest forever after the Order of Melchitzedek. For He now sits at the Right Hand of hwhy in the Heavens and pours forth power upon all those who seek

the Face of hwhy through Him.194 So we see Tehillim 110 was made to be the 110th psalm by Sovereign Design. The Messiah: Whose Son is He?

hwhy said unto my Sovereign, You sit at My Right Hand,

until I make Your enemies your footstool. Psalm 110:1 eswhy Himself taught Davids reference in this psalm was to the Messiah: 41 And the Pharisees being gathered together, eswhy asked them, 42 saying, What do you think concerning the Messiah? Whose Son is He? They said to Him, Of David. 43 He said to them, How then does David, in the Spirit, call Him Sovereign, saying, 44 hwhy said to my Sovereign, Sit on My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet? 45 If, therefore, David calls Him Sovereign, how is He his son? 46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor did any one dare from that day to question Him any more. Mathew 22:41-46 First of all, we must see that eswhy was not denying His being a descendant of David. The Messiah was the Son of David; He did fulfill those prophecies and never denied His lineage.195 But in citing Tehillim 110, His point to the Pharisees was to show the Messiah must be far more than the Son of David. The Anointed One was also set forth in Tehillim (the Psalms) as the Sovereign of King David. And the Sovereign of King David could only have been the Son of the Most High: 31 And behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a Son, and shall call His Name eswhy. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and hwhy Elohim shall give to Him the Throne of His father, David: 33 and He shall reign over the House of Yaacov for ever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end. Luke 1:31-33 The Sovereign of David, was (and is) none other than the Messiah. The writer of Hebrews quoted Scripture from Tehillim 110 many times in showing eswhy was the Ultimate fulfillment of this Messianic prophecy:196 eswhy now intercedes at the Right Hand of hwhy to bring the love of the Father to His sheep. His ministry-service as HaCohen HaGadolthe Great Priest of the Melchitzedek Priesthood brings righteousness, shalom, joy, help, power, and deliverance to all those who draw near to the Throne of the Most High through Him.197

We now proceed to ponder the Stone of Bohan. In declaring Himself to be the Son of hwhy, we see that eswhy was very likely referring to this prophetic stone. The Thumb Stone: Declaring the Stone, the Son, and the Melchitzedek Priest In Joshua 15:6, we read of the border between Yahudah and Binyamin (Benjamin): And the border went up to Beit-Hogla, and passed along by the north of Beit-Arabah; and the border went up to Eben Bohan, the son of Reuben. Joshua 15:6 In the Hebrew of this text, the Spirit cries out for our attention regarding the Son of Elohim. Below appears the last four words of this Scripture in Hebrew; and notice that all four words contain the BEIT ( b ) and the NUN ( N ), the two Hebrew letters which compose the word for son ( Nb ):

Nbwar
Re-u-beyn Reuben

Nb
beyn son (of)

Nhb
Bohan Bohan

Nba
eben stone (of)

Eben Bohan literally means stone thumb or as we would say in English, the thumb stone; beyn means son; and Re-u-beyn means Behold, a son! And not only so, but the place value for this entire phrase totals 97:
14 2 6 1 20 14 2 14 5 2 14 2 1

(pv) 97 =

Nbwar Nb Nhb Nba

40 4 1 50 2

Yet 97 is the misparim for the Messianic title, Ben-Adam, Son of Man: (mv) 97 =

Mda Nb
Adam/man ben/son (of)

So this entire phrase (Nbwar Nb Nhb Nba/Eben Bohan beyn Re-u-beyn) is pulsating with the word Nb/beyn/son. But we should look more closely at the phrase Eben Bohan:

Nhb Nba = Eben Bohan = The Thumb Stone

From the Hebrew words describing this rock, it appears to have been a thumb-shaped stone. Amazingly, the phrase Nhb Nba / Eben Bohan / Thumb Stone, adds to 110pointing us to Tehillim 110 and the Sovereign of David, the One who is the

Great Priest forever after the order of Melchitzedek. Just below, we show how the Hebrew misparim/numbers give us the value of 110 for these two words:

= Nhb Nba / Eben Bohan / Thumb Stone

thumb stone

(mv) 110 = ( 50 ) N + ( 5 ) h + ( 2 ) b

+ ( 50 ) N + ( 2 ) b + ( 1 ) a

We earlier pondered how the thumb related to being a doer of the Word. And do we have evidence the Messiah was a doer? Not only was eSwhy a doer of the Word, having lived a life apart from sin as the spotless Lamb of Elohim,198 but Yochanan (John) wrote the following to describe just how much the Messiah did while He was sojourning on the earth: And there are also many other things which eSwhy did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amein. John 21:25 The Thumb Stone, then, points to eSwhy as being the Ultimate and the Greatest doer of the Word of hwhy. The Messiah was the Qadosh (Swdq) One who ultimately fulfilled the Shema (emS) in His perfect Life of upholding the Torah and leaving us an Example in which to walk.199 So it is not coincidence that both words (qadosh and shema) add to the same value in Hebrew; it is by Providence and Design:

410 = (300) S + (6) w + (4) d + (100) q = Swdq = qadosh = set apart

410 = (70) e + (40) m + (300) S = emS = shema = hear

The Messiah: He has Become for Us Wisdom From Elohim We believe the prayer of Shelemo/Solomon indicated the House he dedicated was ultimately prophetic of the Mashiach/Messiah. Many times during his prayer Shelemo asked hwhy to hear all those who would turn towards the House (in which resided the Name); he asked that all petitioners would have their voices to be heard in the heavens.200 Everything in the Houseand everything about itspoke of the One who was yet to come; this is the One who would be so exceedingly filled with the Spirit that His wisdom would be far greater than even the wisdom of Solomon: The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here. And of this great wisdom, the Mashiach had spoken to His listeners and said on more than one occasion, I am He: 24 Therefore, I said to you, that you will die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am He (awh yna), you will die in your sins. 28 Then eSwhy said to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am He (awh yna), and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father has taught Me, I speak these things. John 8:24,28 Now I tell you before it comes, so that when it has come to pass, you may believe that I am He (awh yna). John 13:19 To better understand the full impact of the Messiahs words, we first look at the Hebrew word for wisdomchokmah/hmkx. As we have seen in a previous study, this word has a place value (pv) of 37 and a misparim value (mv) of 73:

(pv) (mv)

37 = (5) h + (13) m + (11) k + (8) x = hmkx = wisdom

73 = (5) h + (40) m + (20) k + (8) x = hmkx = wisdom

Yet to our awe and amazement, the phrase I am He / Ani huthe phrase by which the Messiah testified of the Father201has the very same misparim and place value as the Hebrew word for wisdom!

(pv) 37 = (1) a + (6) w + (5) h + (10) y + (14) n + (1) a = awh yna = I am He

(mv) 73 = (1) a + (6) w + (5) h + (10) y + (50) n + (1) a = awh yna = I am He We believe Shaul was quite mindful of this phrase (awh ynaI am HeAni hu) when exalting the great wisdom from Elohim which the Messiah eSwhy had become for us; we note the emissary listed wisdom before all the other things of such great importance: 30 But of Him you are in the Messiah eSwhy, who was made unto us wisdom from Elohimand righteousness and sanctification, and redemption31 that, according as it is written, He that exults, let him exult in hwhy. 1Corinthians 1:30-31 Shaul set forth, first of all, the wisdom of hwhy in eSwhy because the Messiah was the Living Wordthe Word made Fleshthe embodiment of wisdom from on high!

John 14:10

42

4 Who has wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, hwhy, the first, and with the last, I am He (awh yna). Isaiah 41:4 Shelemo/Solomon prayed time and again, indicating that it is only when turning to the House of hwhy that He will hear from the Heavens. Even so, it is only when we turn towards the Name of hwhyand the Dwelling Place of the Spirit in Heaven which He has built for us through His Son, eSwhy 202that the Most High will hear from Heaven and act with power and greatness:

eSwhy said to him, I am the Way,

and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6, ISRV It is only through the Messiahonly through His Offering on the tree and His Resurrection out of deaththat we have standing with the Most High. It is only through Him that we may draw near to the light-filled Presence of hwhy and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard. And we note that a very special number results when finding the total sum of either hmkx/chokmah/wisdom or awh yna/Ani Hu/I am He: If readers will add both the place value (37) and the misparim (73) for either of these two, the following result will be seen:

37 + 73 = 110
So after the Messiahs Life and Teachings opened the way for Him to become our wisdom (110), after having lived a sinless life of suffering in being tempted and proving He could authentically say Ani Hu/I am He (110), He ascended up to where He was before:203 to the Right Hand (110) of hwhy. And there now exalted, He intercedes for us as the Great Priest after the order of Melchitzedek. And this same eSwhy has a ministry-service as HaCoheyn HaGadol with the express purpose of imparting still more wisdom and revelation204 to His people from the Infinite Torah205 of hwhy: 13 and not as Mosheh, who put a veil upon his face, that the children of Yisrael should not look steadfastly on the end of that which was passing away. 14 But their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, it not being revealed that it is done away in the Messiah. 15 But to this day, whenever Mosheh is read, a veil lies upon their heart. 16 But whenever it shall turn to hwhy, the veil is taken away. 2Corithians 3:13-16

In His ruling position as the great Melchitzedek Priest, the Messiah shines the light of the Torah on His people, Yisrael, as never before. His ongoing promise is to show us more of the Name and the love of the Father, revealing that love in and through our lives by the Spirit of Elohim. The Messiah does this by teaching us the living words of the Fathers Torah with great light and splendor in the Spirit. The Blood of the Messiah: Poured Out as Water The priests of old were commanded to pour out the blood as water when making an offering before hwhy: Only you shall not eat the blood: you shall pour it out upon the earth as water. Deuteronomy 12:16, 15:23 The phrase translated as water is only one word in the Hebrew language:

Mymk/ca-mayim.
This word is formed with the Hebrew word Mym (mayim/water) preceded by the k/CAPH prefix. The CAPH prefix means like or as. Thus, Mymk/ca-mayim may be accurately translated as like water, or as water:

Mym
mayim water

k
ca as

It is amazing, then, that when the blood of the Messiah came forth from His side, water came forth also. We posit the significance of all this was well-known by the earliest Messianic believers, one of whom especially noted that water and blood came forth from the pierced side of the Messiah:206 32 The soldiers came, therefore, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other that was impaled with Him. 33 But when they came to eSwhy, and saw that He was dead already, they broke not His legs. 34 However, one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and immediately there came out blood and water. 35 And he that has seen has borne witness, and his witness is true: and he knows that what he says is true, that you also may believe. John 19:32-35 We believe the emergence of water and blood shows forth the cleansing power of the Messiahs sacrifice. In the Zechariah prophesies,207 we see that after looking upon Him, ET (ta) whom they piercedthe Spirit of the Messiah bringing about repentancethose in Yisrael who turn back to hwhy will then be given a fountain for
One author relates the significance of the water and blood to the Temple offerings being made at that time in history and we feel his words are worth considering. See the following website article for that information: http://templesecrets.info/jnbldwtr.html

both physical and spiritual cleansing.208 While the water brings about physical cleanness, the blood of eSwhy brings about inner washing and spiritual cleanness. And believers in the Messiah are clearly instructed by Shaul to separate themselves from every defilement of flesh and spirit. So both aspects of cleansing, and both aspects of being clean, remain important in the Melchitzedek Priesthood: 17 Therefore, You come out from among them, and you be separate, says hwhy El Shaddai, and touch no unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 and will be to you a Father; and you shall be to Me sons and daughters, says hwhy El Shaddai. 1 Having, therefore, these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh209 and spirit, perfecting separateness in the fear of Elohim. 2Corithians 6:177:1 The offering of the Messiah brings about this two-fold cleansingit is both an inner and an outer washing210 and it is continual if we remain in His Presence.211 We will see more on that in a moment. Amazingly, the Hebrew word Mymk/ca-mayimseen in Deuteronomy 12:16 / 15:23 and meaning as wateradds to 110:

110 = (40) M + (10) y + (40) m + (20) k = Mymk = ca-mayim = as water

Is it a coincidence, then, that after blood and water came forth from the Messiah at His death, He was then exalted to the Right Hand (110) of hwhy as the Melchitzedek Priest? And it was the prophet Isaiah who indicated the Messiah would be numbered among the great because He poured out His nephesh / being unto death: 11 Of the travail of His soul, He will see and will be satisfied: by His knowledge shall My Righteous Servant instruct many in righteousness; and He shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will assign Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong: because He has poured out His soul unto death, and was reckoned with the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:11-12 The truth of all this becomes still more evident when we see the misparim and place value for Nbl/labanthe Hebrew word meaning white. This is the root word used in Ecclesiastes and seen in the text which enjoins us to always attend to our garments to make sure they remain white:

208 209

Zechariah 13:1-2 Yahudah writes still more on separation from physical defilement: see Jude 1:23. 210 Hebrews 10:19-22 (vs. 22 speaks of inner and outer washing) 211 1John 1:7

45

Let your garments always be white, and oil upon your head, let it not be lacking. Ecclesiastes 9:8 So what are the numerics for this word, Nbl/laban? The misparim value of Nbl/laban is 82:

(mv) 82 = (50) N + (2) b + (30) l = Nbl = laban = white Amazingly, the place value of Nbl/laban is the mirror image of its misparim value:

(pv) 28 = (14) N + (2) b + (12) l = Nbl = laban = white Yet adding the place value and the misparim value of this word makes the full value (fv), or the total sum, of Nbl/laban to be 110:

(fv) 110 = (pv) 28 + (mv) 82 = Nbl = laban = white What does this tell us about those who will overcome? One cannot help but remember the all-important teaching that the robes of victorious believers are robes that have been made white through the Blood of the Lamb! 9 After this I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, standing before the Throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands 13 And one of the elders answered, saying to me, Who are these that are arrayed in white robes? And from where did they come? 14 And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who came out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 14:7,13-14 That the Hebrew word Mymk/ca-mayim/as water (referring to the pouring out of blood) would have a value of 110and that blood and water came forth from the Messiah at His deathis simply beyond amazing. But that this blood came forth with water and that it now makes white (110) the garments of those who partake in the Melchi-tzedek Priesthood is simply indescribable! Blessed be His Qadosh Name. Once more, we see the prophetic power and foreknowledge of the Most High who, alone, knows the end from the beginning. And after His death, eSwhy would soon be numbered with the great212 since all of this suffering took place just prior to His being exalted forever as the Ruling King-Priest according to the Order of Melchitzedek.

212

Isaiah 53:12

46

We see a dual cleansingone which is both physical and spiritualrevealed through the Messiah in the Melchitzedek Priesthood. Considering both cleansings given through this Priesthood, we have 110 + 110 = 220. Yet 220 is the misparim for the Hebrew word rwhj/tahor, meaning clean:

(mv) 220 = (200) r + (6) w + (5) h + (9) j = rwhj = tahor = clean The other form of this word is rhj/ta-hor/ta-harealso meaning clean, but often213 used to describe something after it has been cleansed. This is telling since the misparim of this shorter form is 214:

(mv)

214 = (200) r + (5) h + (9) j = rhj = tahor/tahare = clean/cleansed

But 214 is also the misparim for Ruach/Spirit: (mv) 214 = (8) x + (6) w + (200) r = xwr = Ruach/Spirit And not only does the Spirit/Presence of hwhy cleanse our hearts by faith,214 but His power further removes the influence of man (pictured by the letter VAV / w since 6 is the number of man), bringing on a more permanent cleanness. When the Spirit of the Messiah dwells within us, mans influence is removed and the overpowering influence of the Ruling Priest begins to wield His scepter within us. As Yochanan the Immerser said: He must increase and I must decrease.215 eSwhy then lives His life through us as we become doers of His will, His Word, His Torah:

rwhj
Man is clean/cleansed (220).

rhj
Man is not only cleansed (214), but his influence ( w ) has been further removed/overcome by the Ruach/Spirit (214).

Shaul said it like this: I have been impaled with Messiah, and I no longer live, but the Messiah lives in me. And that which I now live in the flesh I live by belief in the Son of Elohim, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20, ISRV Earlier in the same letter, the emissary spoke about his calling, indicating that Elohim was pleased to reveal His Son in him.216 We do well to contemplate more about this great opportunity to allow the Savior to live through us and to bring His love and salvation to a dying world. the Melchitzedek Priesthood.217 hwhy will make His Name known in all the earth through His people Yisrael. If I Do Not Wash You, You Have No Part With Me Leading into the week of Pesach/Passover, at what is commonly known today as The Last Supper, eSwhy was led of the Spirit to wash the feet of His followers: 1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when eSwhy knew that His hour was come that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. 2 And supper being ended (the devil having now put into the heart of Yahudah Iscariot, Simons son, to betray him;) 3 eSwhy knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from Elohim, and was going to Elohim; 4 He arose from supper, and laid aside His garments; and took a towel, and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. John 13:1-5 For reasons we shall soon ponder, this writer believes the above act of humility was a partial fulfillment of what Mosheh did when he washed Aharon and his sons with water to consecrate them for the Levitical Priesthood. Recall that Mosheh cleansed the Levitical Priesthood as these men were set apart to serve in their office: 1 And this is the thing that you shall do to them to set them apart, to minister to Me in the priests office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish, 2 and unleavened bread, and cakes unleavened mixed with oil, and wafers unleavened anointed with oil; of wheat flour you shall make them. 3 And you shall put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams. 4 And Aaron and his sons you shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall wash them with water. Exodus 29:1-4 1 And hwhy spoke to Mosheh, saying, 2 Take Aharon and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bullock of the sinoffering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread; 3 and you assemble all the congregation at the door of the tent of meeting. 4 And Mosheh did as hwhy commanded him; and the congregation was assembled at the door of the tent of meeting. 5 And Mosheh said to the congregation, This is the thing which hwhy has commanded to be

done. 6 And Mosheh brought Aharon and his sons, and washed them with water. Leviticus 8:1-5 Like Mosheh, eswhy was setting apart His followers to begin partaking in His Melchitzedek Priesthood. Not only did eswhy gird Himself with a towel and wash the feet of His followers with water, the Messiah had an unusual verbal exchange with Kepha/Peter. Initially, Kepha was unwilling to allow eswhy to wash his feet: 6 So He came to Shimon Kepha and he said to Him, Sovereign, do You wash my feet? 7 eswhy answered and said to him, What I do now, you do not know; but you shall understand hereafter. 8 Kepha said to Him, You shall never wash my feet. eswhy answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me. Yochanan 13:6-8 In reply to Kephas question and objection, we see eswhy said two things of great importance to the apostle: What I do now, you do not know; but you shall understand hereafter. And, If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me. So what was it that Kepha would come to know and understand about this special occasion of foot washing? eswhy had stated, if He did not wash Kepha, the apostle would have no part with Him. In what was Kepha to have a part with eswhy? If we are to be partakers of the heavenly calling, then it is the priesthood, the Melchitzedek Priesthood in which we are to have a part with eswhy as we share with Him in the power of an endless life.218 The followers of eswhy were to become partakers with Him of the Heavenly calling to the Melchitzedek Priesthood.219 This is the high calling of hwhy in Messiah eswhy.220 And we see that Kepha would, indeed, later come to understand this very thing; and he would write of having a part with eswhy in the priesthood: But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a set apart nation, a people for a possessionthat you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1Peter 2:9 Of course, Shaul also wrote at length of this Heavenly calling to partake in the Melchitzedek Priesthood221 and directed that New Covenant believers are to offer up continual prayer on behalf of all men:

1 I exhort, therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of Elohim our Savior, 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1Timothy 2:1-3 The call to partake in the Melchitzedek Priesthood is a Heavenly calling, but from the text above, we see it is a calling which requires far more humility and service to our fellow man than is presently seen across most of the landscape which composes the believing world. Among those who profess faith in the Messiah, too many in our days express an uplifted and condescending approach toward those who are either inside or outside the Faith. But thanks be to hwhy for those believers who are walking in the humility of the Mashiach towards their fellow man. I have been continually blessed to walk with many such people and to call them my brothers and sisters.

There is also a great, prophetic connection with these times of consecration and the Passover! Not only were the Levites washed by Mosheh with water, but Mosheh was also required to prepare many unleavened foods for the first day of the seven-day consecration.222 Besides being accompanied by unleavened bread, there were other things about this time that mirrored Passover: During this seven-day period, the priests were to remain in the very presence of hwhy.223 And also like the Passover, the things eaten in the first night were to be burnt with fire, if anything was left over until the morning of the next day.224 This period in which the Tabernacle and the Priesthood were set apart occurred on the first seven days of the first month and so, it led into the time of Pesach.225 And yet, there is to be an even greater, still future fulfillment of the foot washing which was done by eswhy at the Last Supper. This momentous occasion was mentioned by the Messiah at two different timesboth of which bring forth a prophetic revelation of a great, future event that will, once more, precede the Feast of Passover: the cleansing, consecration, and inauguration of the priesthood. The Messiah clearly promised the Feast of Passover would once again be fulfilled in the Kingdom in a still greater way than anything heretofore seen.226 And His other mention of this special, forthcoming fulfillment at/around the time of Passover is strikingly similar to the foot washing occasion at the Last Supper in which He girded Himself to minister to the apostles:

Blessed are those servants, whom the Sovereign, when He comes, shall find watching: Amein, I say unto you, that He shall gird Himself, and make them to sit down to eat, and will come forth and serve them. Luke 12:37 227 This future fulfillment of Passover in the Kingdom will be an occasion of great and age-abiding significancea time which was foreshadowed by Mosheh washing, consecrating, and serving the Levites and which was also foreshadowed by eswhy girding Himself and then washing, consecrating, and serving His apostles at the Last Supper. However, this future Passover consecration will be one in which priests from both ordersthe Levitical and the Melchitzedekare ministered to by eswhy as He consecrates them for the priesthood.228 We have, then, significant evidence the Torah of hwhy not only remains quite relevant, but that it is both prophetic and eternal.229 The Law of hwhy reveals His Name because it reveals that which is, and that which was, and that which is to come.230 And the Feast of Passover reveals this prophetic aspect of the Torah in such a marvelous way. Melchitzedek Priests: Ruling in the Midst of Our Enemies How does a believer overcome and qualify to fully partake in the Melchitzedek Priesthood? Overcoming means ruling in the midst of our enemies; it means overcoming sin and the world.231 Those who do not prevail, we are told, will lose their reward232 and enter by fire/punishment into the Kingdom.233 Others, we are told, will barely overcome, entering with little or no reward and also receiving punishment.234 Still others will overcome in a way which results in a grand entrance235 as they obtain a great reward236 in the First Resurrection. Those who overcome will inherit237 the Kingdom; they will have rule238 and ownership.239 These are weighty and important matters; yet there are many who have expressed belief in the Messiah who still do not recognize they are in a very serious race to qualify for a reward in the Kingdom.240 The general, mistaken notion is that, once a person has believed in the Messiah, then there is little left to do except eke out an existence on this earth and wait for the reward of heaven. But unless one prevails to overcome sin and the world, partaking in the

Great Reward of the First Resurrection241 is off the plate. Overcoming is what Shaul meant when writing of those who reign in this life through eSwhy the Messiah: For if, by the trespass of the one,242 death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of favor and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, eSwhy the Messiah. Romans 5:17 Once more, we see the hallmark of those who will qualify to partake in the Melchitzedek Priesthood: Ruling in the midst of our enemies243in this case, reigning in this present life by ruling over sin and the world. Notice that Yochanan writes likewise and connects conquering this world with a true faith that manifests itself in the love of hwhy displayed by those who keep His commandments: 1 Everyone who believes that eSwhy is the Messiah has been born of Elohim, and everyone who loves the One bringing forth also loves the one having been born of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands. 3 For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy, 4 because everyone having been born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome the world: our belief. 5 Who is the one who overcomes the world but he who believes that eSwhy is the Son of Elohim? 1John 5:1-5, ISRV Transformed in His Presence As we stated earlier, believers are not overcoming sin and the world simply because they are not drawing near to the Throne of Favor.244 The light, strength, and power of the Spirit are only found in the Presence of hwhy. But few, it seems, truly value the Presence of hwhy above all else in life. With the preponderance for Bible study seen in most of todays worship settings, the majority of believers are not being taught the vital importance and overriding preeminence which prayer must have in our lives if we hope to enter the Kingdom with reward and greatness.245 We have seen how both Yoseph and Yehoshua ruled in the midst of their enemies. To help them rule, hwhy sent forth the rod of their strength and authority out of Tziyon:

hwhy will send forth the rod of Your strength out of Tziyon:
Rule in the midst of Your enemies. Psalm 110:2 And we should never suppose that those two prophets acquired this strength apart from prayer and meditation before the Most High. We have already established how both men fulfilled the Scripture in Tehillim 1: 246 but his delight is in the Torah of hwhy, and in His Torah, he meditates by day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth his fruit in its time, and his leaf does not wither; and whatsoever he does He prospers. Tehillim 1:2-3 Yet the Hebrew misparim/numbers confirm this very thing about these two men of faith; note the place value of the phrase he meditates by day and night:

So we have yet another 110 clearly connected with Yoseph, Yehoshua, and the Melchitzedek Priesthood. This is simply incredible, and it is something manifestly Inspired by the Hand of hwhy. Both Yoseph and Yehoshua are set forth as examples in their day-and-night Torah meditation, and for both men, hwhy sent forth the rod of their strength and authority out of Tziyon. Yet such strength is now available to all who draw near to hwhy through the blood of the Mashiach. More than once did the writer to the Hebrews speak of our access to the rod of strength and authority which hwhy is still sending forth247 out of Tziyon; and in one of these many references, Mount Tziyon is directly mentioned: 22 But you have come to Mount Tziyon, and to the city of the living Elohim, the heavenly Yerushalayim, and to an innumerable company of messengers, 23 to the general assembly and congregation of the firstborn, who are written in heaven, and to Elohim the Judge of all,

and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 and to eSwhy, the Mediator of the New Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24 eSwhy was transformed as He drew near to, and prayed in, the Presence of hwhy.248 And this reveals how we, too, may be clothed with the armor of His light.249 Victory and strength comes from being in His Presence because the light of hwhy will banish and drive away all darkness. To be trees of righteousness,250 we must dwell in the light of His Presence; for there we will obtain the light needed to nourish/develop the fruit of the Spirit. If we continually abide in Him (through prayer), and He continually abides in us (through meditation both during and outside of prayer), we will bear much fruit.251 And in His light we will see light:252 The more we dwell in the Presence of hwhy, through prayer, the greater the light He will shine upon His written and Living Word. Fasting-Derived Meekness and Humility Although many teach the Feasts of the Seventh month have had no fulfillment, the Book of Hebrews makes it clear we are living in a protracted, ongoing Yom HaKippurim/Day of Covering (called by many Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement). For even as the High Priest entered the Most Set Apart Place once a year on Yom HaKippurim, so the High Priest after the order of Melchitzedek has entered the Most Set Apart Place in the Heavens.253 And just as ancient Yisrael awaited the priest to emerge on the Day of Covering, so we, too, are now awaiting the emergence of eSwhy, the Great Priest. And the Messiah said that, during this time, His followers would fast254 (even as was done on Yom HaKippurim255). And when eSwhy the Messiah finally comes forth from His time of atoning intercession in the Presence of hwhy, His wrath will be fully vented on all those who yet remain unrepentant. If we are living in a prophetic and extended Day of Atonement, then fasting must be a very important part of abiding under the Melchitzedek Priesthood. Consequently, a life characterized by fasting and prayer should describe the lifestyle of the New Covenant believer.256 When the prophet Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) spoke of a man bearing the yoke in his youth, we know he was speaking of the yoke of fasting-derived meekness and humility. And we can say this because the context of the prophets words is a context

which is clearly fasting-related. Yirmeyahu used many terms that relate to what one does, or what one experiences, during times of fasting, prayer, and humility before hwhy: 24 hwhy is my portion, says my soul; therefore, I will hope in Him. 25 hwhy is good to those that wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him. 26 It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of hwhy. 27 It is good for a man that he bears the yoke in his youth. 28 Let him sit alone and keep silence, because He has laid it upon him. 29 Let him put his mouth in the dust, if so be there may be hope. 30 Let him give his cheek to him that smites him;257 let him be filled full with reproach. Lamentations 3:24-30 Numerous words and concepts written here by Yirmeyahu are the very same words and concepts elsewhere used by hwhy to refer to fasting and prayer.258 So what is the yoke that is good for a man to bear in his youth? Of what yoke is the prophet speaking? The context shows us the yoke which is good for a man to bear in his youth is nothing less than the yoke of fasting-derived meekness and humility. And why is it good for a man to bear this yoke in his youth? Because this is the only yokeif borne with the Messiahby which a young man may cleanse his way259 and walk in power above the lusts of the flesh.260 This yoke which Yirmeyahu mentioned was later revealed by eSwhy as He instructed us to walk in the humility which is cultivated by fasting and prayer. Not only so, this yoke of which Yirmeyahu wrote is the very same yoke spoken of by the Messiah. And when speaking of that same yokethe yoke of fasting-derived meekness and humilitywe not only see eSwhy used fasting-related terms, we see He also claimed this yoke as His very own: 28 Come unto Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 As we study this text, it is seen how eSwhy used fasting-related terms to describe His Yoke. The words meek/meekness, lowly/lowliness, and rest all relate to the work which the Spirit does in the lives of those who seek hwhy through fasting and prayer. This
Like Job during his times of fasting (Job 16:9-11), Isaiah during his times of fasting (Isaiah 50:5-7), Jeremiah during his times of fasting (Lamentations 3:30), the Messiah during His time(s) of fasting (Matthew 26:67-68), the Savior calls us to have our cheeks smitten during our times of fasting and prayer. Psalm 119:9 2Timothy 2:22

shows us that, to walk as He walked, we must sojourn toward His Kingdom with times of continual fasting, prayer, and seeking His Face.261 And we are also called to bear the burdens of others through times of fasting, prayer, and intercession.262 As we minister/serve before hwhy through such times of seeking His Face, we will also begin to walk in useful service to our fellow man and will more fully partake with the Messiah in His Melchitzedek Priesthood. This becomes still clearer as we study the Hebrew words for yoke and My yoke. The Hebrew word for yoke is le (ohl), while the Hebrew word meaning My yoke contains the YOD suffix showing possession: yle (oo-lee). This yoke is of immense significance in light of Tehillim/Psalms 110 regarding the Messiah and His Preeminent Rule in the Melchitzedek Priesthood.263 To our amazement, the misparim for yle (oolee)the word meaning My yokeis 110:

(mv) 110 = (10) y + (30) l + (70) e = yle = My Yoke Once more, we see the number 110 that is so clearly associated with the Melchitzedek Priesthood, only now it is related to the Messiahs Yoke of fasting-derived meekness and humility. Ruach haQodesh264 signifies to those who having ears that will hear: We may only qualify to partake in the Melchitzedek Priesthood if we bear the Yoke of the Messiah in this present life. It is only through bearing the Messiahs Yoke of fasting-derived meekness and humility that we can fulfill the words of eSwhy and, as a result, overcome by successfully ruling in the midst of our enemies. It is more than amazing that the misparim for the phrase My yoke is the Hebrew word which has a value of 110. This is absolutely miraculousa result Inspired by the Hand of Divine Providence. This is so by overwhelming, Sovereign Design. The true follower of eSwhy will obtain lowliness of mind, in the Spirit, only through a life which is given to fasting-derived meekness and humility. For it is in bearing this Yoke with eSwhy the Messiah that we truly become like Him: Our lives are given to fasting, prayer, and lowliness of mind, and we continually make intercession for the transgressors before hwhy;265 we become peacemakers between Elohim and man, and we exhibit authentic love and humility toward those around us. And in so walking with hwhy, we truly fulfill the ministry of reconciliation.

Meditation on the Torah Prayer/meditation, fasting, and alms are the pillars of a life which is given in useful service to the Elohim of Yisrael. The numerous meditations which we have before the Presence of hwhy, in prayer, are to continue throughout the day as we engage in ongoing meditation on His Torah both day and night. Referring to Psalm 1, the emissary Shaul wrote these lines: and do not be conformed to this world,266 but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.267 Romans 12:2 Shaul had earlier referred to the Torah as the Law of his mind,268 and rightly so, since the promise of the New Covenant was that hwhy would write His Laws on our hearts and minds by His Spirit dwelling within us.269 When Yehoshua was commissioned by hwhy, continual meditation on the Torah was enjoined as one of the foremost requirements in the charge.270 All the faithful of every age have walked in the Law of hwhy, and meditation on His precepts is of such vital importance that an entire psalm271 was dedicated to the value of keeping His Word close to our hearts and minds, even in dire and troubling times. So many things vie to dominate our thoughts and the way of peace is to have a mind set on hwhy and His greatness as revealed in so many ways throughout the Word of Elohim.272 The Hebrew word for meditate is ha-gah (hgh) and it means to utter, to mutter, to ponder, to speak. So quietly uttering the Word, as one also thinks about it, is a very good idea of what meditation should be like. Through daily meditations on a single psalm, readers may discover that they, too, can almost effortlessly memorize significantly large segments of Scripture. But those seeking hwhy in this manner must be careful: the goal here is not memorization, but continual meditation. Meditation on His Word is a lifelong endeavor and we must never fall into the memorization trap of thinking we know (or even fully understand) a Scripture simply because it has been carved into our memory. However, it is certainly a great blessing to be able to meditate on the Word as one goes throughout the day. More importantly, this ongoing meditation is obedience.273 And because meditation is love-derived obedience, it will lead to far greater revelations in the Spirit274 than mere memorization. And we have seen how the place value of the Hebrew phrase hlylw Mmwy hghy/he meditates by day and night adds to 110, pointing us to the priestly examples of Yoseph, Yehoshua,

and ultimately to eSwhy the Messiahin whose heart the Law of hwhy continually burned with love and zeal. Clearly, meditation upon the Torah is a requirement for any who aspire to be a king-priest after the Order of Melchitzedek. The Sacrifice of Praise: Offering the Fruit of Lips that Give Thanks to His Name The Book of Hebrews speaks much of the Messiah and the Melchitzedek Priesthood. We have seen that a life characterized by prayer and fasting defines the ministryservice of those operating under/within the Melchitzedek Priesthood. The Mashiach is our Example in this matter: 7 Who in the days of His flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him that was able to save Him from death, and having been heard for His reverent fear, 8 though He was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which He suffered; 9 and having been made perfect, He became unto all those that obey Him the Author of age-abiding salvation; 10 named of Elohim a Great Priest after the order of Melchitzedek. Hebrew 5:7-10 And the importance of prayer in the Melchitzedek Priesthood is further confirmed by the misparim value for palms which are raised to hwhy as the evening sacrifice: Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense; the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Psalm 141:2 The problem with this translation is that the Hebrew word for hand (dy/yad) is not used here, but rather, the word incorporated refers to palms of the hand, as inspired by Ruach haQodesh: Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense; the lifting up of my palms (ypk/ka-phi) as the evening sacrifice. Yet the Hebrew word which translates into the phrase my palms also adds to 110:

(mv)

110 = (10) y + (80) p + (20) k = ypk = ka-phi = my palms

Lifting up our palms in prayer is/should be a priestly act of worship.275 And lifting our palms as the evening sacrifice is further related to the Passover. Note the place value of my palms (ypk/ka-phi) is equivalent to 38:

(pv)

38 = (10) y + (17) p + (11) k = ypk = ka-phi = my palms

But this makes the full value (fv) of ypk/ka-phi/my palms to be 148:
275

Solomon (1Kings 8:22,54/his palms), Ezra (Ezra 9:5/my palms), Heman (Psalm 88:9/my palms)

58

(fv)

148 = (pv) 38 + (mv) 110 = ypk = ka-phi = my palms

And this is where it all becomes so amazing since Pesach/Passover itself is an evening sacrifice;276 the misparim of Pesach is exactly 148:

(mv)

148 = (8) x + (60) o + (80) p = xop = Pesach = Passover

So we have the Melchitzedek Priesthood directly connected with Pesach/Passover by the misparim (110) and place value (38) of ypk/ka-phi/my palms. This provides significant evidence that the Feasts have not been done away with by the Messiah, and we will see still more proof of this later. No wonder Shaul directed the former Gentiles of Corinth to keep the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread.277 Of course, many now properly understand the words of eSwhy make His Fathers Torah to not only be permanent (even within the Melchitzedek Priesthood), but that He also promises great reward to those who keep and teach these age-abiding Torah commandments.278 The Word of hwhy is forever settled in the heavens,279 and so His Torah is still quite binding in the Heavenly Melchitzedek Priesthood.280 But returning to Tehillim/Psalms 141 and lifting our palms as the evening sacrifice: it all reminds us of the Hebrews 13:15 text and the sacrifice of praise and worship we are to offer to hwhy the Father through eSwhy, the Sonthe Great Priest after the Order of Melchitzedek: Through Him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to Elohim continually,281 that is, the fruit of lips, giving thanks to His Name. Hebrews 13:15 And yet, it is this very book (of Hebrews) that so prominently features the Messiah and His Melchitzedek Priesthood. Giving thanks to hwhy in/through all things is another, all-important aspect of ruling in the midst of our enemies,282 of overcoming evil with good,283 and of strengthening ourselves in Elohim,284 even when times are difficult:

Deuteronomy 16:6 1Corinthians 5:7-8 278 Matthew 5:17-20 279 Psalm 119:89, Matthew 24:35 280 Hebrews 10:28-29 281 The Hebrew word here is dymt/tamid/continually, and it does not connote very moment of every day; however, it does mean something which is regular and ongoing at the Appointed Times of hwhy: morning, evening, and all other times set apart for worship. The psalmist wrote: Seven times a day do I praise You concerning judgments of Your righteousness. Tehillim/Psalms 119:164 282 Psalm 110:2 283 Matthew 5:38-48, Romans 12:14-21 284 1Samuel 30:6, Nehemiah 8:10 (joy/gratitude = strength, Psalm 21:1)

In all (things) give thanks, for this is the will of Elohim in the Messiah eSwhy for you. 1Thessalomians 5:18 It is through the giving of thanks to His Name that hwhy will dwell with us in our times of trial; it is through the giving of thanks to His Name that hwhy will send forth the rod of our strength out of Tziyon and we will rule in the midst of all our enemies; it is through the giving of thanks to His Name that we will be strengthened in hwhy. And, like Yoseph, our sheaf will arise and stand upright/yashar/rSy; by the strength that comes from knowing/having the Presence of hwhy in our lives, we will prevail in this life and we will be accounted faithful so as to inherit the Kingdom, even as all others who have learned to overcome through times of trial, hardship, and persecution. We cannot let the difficulties of life stand in the way of continually offering to hwhy the praise, the thanksgiving, and the worship of which He is so very worthy at all times. Melchitzedek Priests Will Honor the Sanctity of the Shabbat/Sabbath The Levitical Priesthood of old failed to uphold the Shabbatot/Sabbaths of hwhy in the days of Yechezkel/Ezekiel. Of this sad case, hwhy said the following through the prophet: 26 Her priests have done violence to My Torah, and have profaned My set apart things: Between the set apart and the common they have put no difference; and between the unclean and clean, they have not taught men to discern; and from My Shabbatot/Sabbaths, they have hidden their eyes, so that I have been profaned in their midst. Ezekiel 22:26 The Book of Hebrews not only speaks of the Sabbath of hwhy still being in effect for all New Covenant believers, it shows us how keeping the Shabbat not only pictures spiritual rest, but that keeping the Seventh Day results in the spiritual rest/victory which proceeds out of the immense sanctity and reverence that resides in the hearts and minds of those who guard this set apart Time. Shaul wrote the following to those who, in their unconverted days, were formerly aliens from the Commonwealth of Yisrael and who were outside the Covenants of Promise: 11 Therefore, remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision (in the flesh, done with the hand), 12 that you were, at that time, without the Messiah, aliens from the Commonwealth of Yisrael, and strangers to the Covenants of Promise, having no hope, and without Elohim in the world: 13 but now in the Messiah eSwhyyou who once were afar off are made near by the blood of the Messiah. Ephesians 2:11-13

And Kepha/Peter would later write of those great and precious promises thatif believed and kept by those who cleave to hwhy285will result in their being filled with the Spirit and becoming partakers of His Heavenly nature: 3 As His Elohim power has given to us all things for life and reverence through the knowledge of Him who has called us to splendor and virtue, whereby are given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these you may be partakers of the Elohim nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2Peter 1:3-4 Yet one of the exceedingly great and precious promises that hwhy has given to make us partakers of His powerful, Elohim nature relates to the Shabbat; and it is a covenant-promise that He will set us apartwhat is known today in many believing circles as being sanctified: 12 And hwhy spoke to Mosheh, saying, 13 You speak also to the sons of Yisrael, saying, Surely My Shabbatot286 you shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am hwhy that sets you apart. 14 You shall keep the Shabbat, therefore, for it is qadosh to you. Every one that profanes it shall surely be put to death: for whoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done, but in the seventh is the Shabbat of rest, qadosh to hwhy: whoever does work in the Shabbat-day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Therefore, the sons of Yisrael shall keep the Shabbat, to observe the Shabbat throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant: 17 It is a sign between Me and the sons of Yisrael age-abidingly: for in six days hwhy made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed. Exodus 31:12-17 Notice two things: hwhy promised to sanctify/set apart Yisrael, if they kept His Shabbat and hwhy stated the Shabbat was a covenant between Himself and His people. So observing the Shabbat was a covenant of promise for the sons of Yisrael throughout their generations! This is why believers must realize their faith in the Messiah sets them within the Commonwealth of Yisrael.287 This is a covenant of promise for all those who follow the One who declared Himself to be the Sovereign of the Shabbat.288 It is only the Spirit/Presence of hwhy that can sanctify/set apart any person, place, time period, or object. And believers are filled with His Spirit as we recognize and honor the Presence of hwhy which He has placed with the Qadosh Shabbat (thus, making the Day to be set apart by His Presence). So we see the abiding

importance of the Shabbat in the New Covenant. New Covenant writers taught and upheld the sanctity of the Shabbat. The Shabbat is a vital part of what hwhy called through Jeremiah the ancient paths.289 And in his classic work, The Lamsa Bible, Mr. Lamsas translation of Hebrews 4:9based on the Aramaic Peshitta textshows the Seventh Day Shabbat is still a key element of the Melchitzedek Order: It is therefore the duty of the people of [Elohim]290 to keep the Sabbath. Hebrews 4:9 Of course, this statement in the Book of Hebrews fully agrees with the Life and Example of our Messiah. eswhy fully upheld the Set Apart Shabbat. Had the Messiah ever profaned the Shabbat, He would not have been the spotless Lamb of Elohim. On the contrary, He was (and still is) the Sovereign of the Seventh Day. His only quarrel was with the traditions of the Israeli leaders of His day; He only objected to their commandment-nullifying traditions surrounding upright Torah observance.291 Later, Luke would travel with the apostle Shaul, and through his writings set forth in the Book of Acts, we see the physician notes those many occasions upon which they all upheld the sanctity292 of the Seventh Day Shabbat.293 To further confirm the ongoing immutability of the Shabbatand showing its integral relationship to the Melchitzedek Priesthoodthe Hebrew misparim/numbers provide still more inspired evidence of this relationship. In a number of places, hwhy directs His people to observe a Shabbat Shabbaton/Nwtbs tbs. Some translations call this a Sabbath of rest, while others call it a solemn Sabbath. We agree with the thoughts of author David Rogers on Shabbaton that this word indicates a complete rest.294 And complete rest makes the rest to be had on these days still more pervasive and beneficial.295 Shabbat Shabbaton/Nwtbs tbs is a phrase that may be found in reference to the Seventh Day Shabbat296 as well as to Yom HaKippurim, the Day of Coveringwhat many call Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement.297 Not coincidentally, the place value of the phrase Shabbat Shabbaton/Nwtbs tbs points to the Messiah and to His Leadership over the Shabbat within the Melchitzedek Priesthood. To our amazement, but certainly not to our surprise, the place value of the phrase Shabbat Shabbaton/Nwtbs tbs is precisely 110:

(pv) 110 = (14) N + (6) w + (22) t + (2) b + (21) S + (22) t + (2) b + (21) S eswhy declared Himself to be HaAdon, the Lord/Sovereign of the Shabbat.298 And not only did He fully uphold and defend the Ageless sanctity of the Shabbat as Adonai/Sovereign/Lord over the Day, but the Book of Hebrews indicates He will never change on this point.299 It was the Spirit of the Messiah that inspired the ancient Hebrew prophets300all of whom kept the Shabbatand it is the Spirit of the Messiah that has caused all the faithful followers of Elohim across the centuries to uphold the prophetic Seventh Daythe Sanctuary in Time and Space that will soon be observed worldwide in the Millennial Reign.301 Those who wish to be numbered among the throng of the faithful, and those who wish to qualify as partakers in the Melchizedek Priesthood during that 1000-Year Epoch, will fail to do so apart from upholding the Shabbatot/Sabbaths of hwhy. All of this provides us with still more evidence that the Word/Torah of hwhy is the Constitution of His Kingdom which He has commanded across the immense time span of 1000 generations.302 So the Feasts and Shabbatot (Sabbaths) of hwhy are still valid in/under the Melchitzedek Priesthood. While this is something that so many already believe, how edifying to have still more evidence that this is the case. And it is evidence which affixes these perpetual ordinances to the Messiah in His exalted Priesthooda priesthood in which eSwhy wants all those He is calling to partake. And not only so, but we are told these perpetual statutes will span the many eons of time and that the Moedim/Feasts of hwhy will remain valid across the great epochs needed to see a full 1000 generations live upon the earth.303 The Feasts of hwhy: Your Will Be Done in Heaven and Upon the Earth When eSwhy taught us to pray in the Spirit, one of the foundational petitions He directed us to learn was this: Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, in heaven and upon the earth. Daniel fasted and prayed for three weeks and was used of hwhy in a great conflict that brought about a significant change/victory in the heavens.304 Yet this victory in the heavens then led to a significant change and revelation occurring upon the earth.305 And the whole incident not only shows us the importance of prayer with fasting, but it adds much understanding to the words of Shaul, who wrote that our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against dark, spiritual forces in the heavens.306 No one should live under the false premise that they will win this battle apart from prayer and fasting and the readiness to do the will of the Most High. But our current intent is to ponder the Heavenly will of hwhy and the loving response307 of those who seek to do His will upon the earth. The Shabbat is the preeminent Feast Day of the Most High: it is set forth as the Head of the Festivals in Leviticus 23.308 And we have seen how vital is the Seventh Day, being the subject of an all-important covenant of promise.309 But the Shabbat is certainly not the only Feast of hwhy. In this study, we have also seen that hwhy sends forth a rod of strength out of Tziyon for those who desire to do His will.310 Yet there is an earthly Mount Tziyon that mirrors the heavenly Mount Tziyon. Strength may come forth from either locale per the will of hwhy and we cannot claim to know anything about the many ways in which this marvelous process occurs. One thing is clear: when Yisrael was established in the Land, the Feasts were seen as an all-important, indispensable part of the True Worship of the Elohim of Yisrael. The Feast of Passover spearheaded revival on more than one occasion.311 Further, those who refused to keep the Feast of the Passover in the days of Hezekiah were called stiffnecked and were warned of the fierce wrath of hwhy that had (and would still) come upon the nation for the ingratitude312 shown by not coming up to Yerushalayim to worship the Most High on Mount Tziyon at this Appointed Time.313 Yet the calling to the Melchitzedek Priesthood is a heavenly calling,314 and those who are in subjection to this Priesthood will uphold the Feasts of hwhy. Since the will of hwhy is revealed through the Torah, we see the Feasts of hwhy are ever recognized and observed in the heavens.315 And for all those who have ears to hear. the Feasts are ever proclaimed from the heavenly Mount Tziyon.316 Thus, it is not surprising to see that
Daniel 10:1-13 Daniel 10:14 306 Ephesians 6:10-18 307 Exodus 20:6 308 See Leviticus 23:1-44 309 Exodus 31:12-17, Ephesians 2:12 310 Psalm 110:2 311 2Chronicles 30:1-27, 35:1-19 312 The Feasts were times set apart for offering thanksgiving to hwhy and He warned Yisrael that ingratitude (i.e., not keeping the Feasts) would soon lead to defeat before the enemy and bondage. the phrase Mo-e-day hwhy / the Feasts of hwhy, has the same misparim as Tziyonthe Heavenly Mountain from which the Feasts are proclaimed (even now) and the earthly mountain on which they shall be kept by the whole world in the coming Kingdom:317

156 = (5) h + (6) w + (5) h + (10) y + (10) y + (4) d + (70) e + (6) w + (40) m
Blessed be His awesome and Qadosh Name! The Feasts of hwhy (156) has the very same value as Tziyon (156). When Mosheh spoke the words of the Torah, to emphasize to the nation how enduring the Torah would be, he called heaven and earth to witness against Yisrael:318 since the heavens and earth would endure across all 1000 generations,319 it was the heavens and the earth that were called to witness the Word of hwhy and its age-abiding authority in Yisrael and in all the earth. The Messiah, likewise, tied the duration of the Torah to the heavens and earth, and even indicated its Authority would outlast these age-abiding witnesses.320 Those who keep and teach the commandments of hwhy will be called great in the Kingdom321 and Shaul taught the former Gentiles of Corinth to uphold the Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread.322 And yet, there is still more. Just as the Levitical Priests officiated over the Feasts in ancient Yisrael, even now, the Melchitzedek Priest, the Messiah (and His subjects/followers) officiate over the Feasts in New Covenant Yisrael.323 Recall the Hebrew word for priest/coheyn/Nhk has a misparim of 75:

(mv) 75 = (50) N + (5) h + (20) k = Nhk/cohen = priest Yet 75 is also the place value of Mo-e-day hwhy/the Feasts of hwhy:

(pv) 75 = (5) h + (6) w + (5) h + (10) y + (10) y + (4) d + (16) e + (6) w + (13) m The call to the Melchitzedek Priesthood is a heavenly calling, and those who are subject to this Priesthood will uphold the Feasts of hwhy which he proclaims from the heavenly Mount Tziyon. The Secret of hwhy is For Those Who Fear Him To whom does hwhy now open the great, spiritual storehouses of wisdom and knowledge? hwhy is pleased to open access to the spiritual riches of His Presence324 and His Word through His Son, the Mashiach eSwhy, the Great Priest of the Melchitzedek Order. In the 25th Psalm, we read of the secret of hwhy, and for many years, it has been one of my favorite Scriptures: The secret of hwhy is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His Covenant. Psalm 25:14 hwhy reveals the great treasures of His wisdom and knowledge to those who fear Him. The riches325 of gold,326 silver,327 and precious gemstones328hidden329 in the Torah and the Prophets of hwhyare only imparted to those who are seeking to be doers of the Word.330 hwhy has ordained to reveal His written Word to His people through eSwhy the Messiah, the Living Word: those who obey Him will be given yet more understanding.331 Those who follow eSwhy will experience Him shining the light of splendor on the Torah,332 ever increasing their understanding of the truth of the Most High. In Hebrew, the text looks like this:

the secret (of)

Meydwhl wtyrbw wyaryl hwhy dwo

So a more literal rendering would be, The secret of hwhy is for fearers of Him, and His Covenant to make them know it. Psalm 25:14 Now notice the first line of the above text is only three words in Hebrew:

wyaryl hwhy dwo

(is) for fearers of Him YHWH The secret (of)

While recently studying Tehillim 25, this phrase was added and its place value was discovered to be 110:

= wyaryl hwhy dwo333 = The secret of hwhy is for fearers of Him 25 = (4) d + (6) w + (15) o 26 = (5) h + (6) w + (5) h + (10) y 59 = (6) w + (10) y + (1) a + (20) r + (10) y + (12) l
==========

(pv) 110
We find, once more, the number 110 pointing us to the Priesthood of Melchitzedek. We see the place value (pv) of this phrase is 110. So the Spirit of hwhy has inspired still another 110 to show us it is through the Melchitzedek Priesthood, led by eSwhy the Mashiach, that hwhy is revealing the great, spiritual treasures of wisdom and knowledge which are hidden in His Son: 1 For I would have you know how greatly I strive for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2 that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the secret of Elohim, the Messiah, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:1-3

It is not coincidental that this word for secret (dwo/sode) has a place value of 25 and that it is seen in the 25th Psalm. The occurrence of this word in this place is an example of numerology and calls our attention to the significant importance which the Hebrew ALEPH-BEIT has in revealing to His people the secret (counsel) of hwhy. Tehillim 25 is an acrostic psalm wherein each new verse begins with each subsequent letter of the Hebrew ALEPH-BEIT.

And Shaul indicated the light and splendor which shined on Mosheh, and by which hwhy had intended to reveal the Torah to ancient Yisrael, does not compare with the light and splendor which now shines forth from the Mashiach upon the same. For the light and splendor which eSwhy haMashiach shines upon the age-aiding Torah334 is far beyond that which was seen upon Mosheh: 12 Having therefore such an expectation, we use great boldness of speech, 13 and are not as Mosheh, who put a veil upon his face, that the children of Yisrael should not look steadfastly on the end of that which was passing away: 14 but their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, it not being revealed that it is done away in the Messiah 15 But unto this day, whenever Mosheh is read, a veil lies upon their heart. 16 But whenever it shall turn to the Sovereign, the veil is taken away. 17 Now hwhy is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of hwhy is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the splendor of the Sovereign, are transformed into the same image from splendor to splendor, even as from hwhy the Spirit. 2Corinthians 3:16-18 And who better to reveal the Torah to His people than the Mashiach? For He was the Torah made flesh.335 And as High Priest in the heavens, eSwhy the Messiah continues to reveal the Name of hwhy, and His Word, to those who are subjected to His Priestly Rule. The secret of hwhy is for those who fear Him (110). Those who reverently abide under the Messiahs Authority will increasingly partake in the blessings of wisdom and revelation336 to be had through heeding the King-Priest, eSwhy. The age-abiding treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in the Messiah,337 and it is through eSwhy that these things are now increasingly revealed to Yisrael: as the light of His splendor shines upon the Word, the Spirit of hwhy brings them forth from the Infinite Riches hidden in the Torah.338 Through the Melchitzedek Priesthood, hwhy intends to enrich His people in the true knowledge of Elohim, and these great treasures are only found by walking in the ancient paths339 revealed in the age-abiding Torah: For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and the Torah they should seek from his mouth; for a messenger of hwhy Tzebaot is he. This Book of the Torah 340 Our Mashiach has clearly statedand without speaking words in hidden parablethat the Torah of hwhy will be the Standard in determining who shall obtain reward and greatness in the coming Millennial Kingdom: 17 Think not that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For amein I say to you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the Torah, till all things are accomplished. 19 Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven: but whoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 20 For I say to you, that except your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no wise enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:17-20 The context here shows us that fulfill means to keep and to teach: we fulfill the Torah by being doers of the Word.341 And when shall all things written in the Torah and the Prophets finally find their fulfillment/completion? According to the Prophetic Torah of hwhy, many thousands of yearsyes, even many eonsmust still come to pass before all things have been fulfilled. We say this because hwhy Himself has stated His Word/Torah will extend across the immense time span of 1000 generations: 9 Know therefore that hwhy your Elohim, he is Elohim, the faithful El, who keeps the covenant and the chesed with those that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9 / Psalm 105:8 So when can it be said that all things have been fulfilled? Not until hwhy has seen the fulfillment/completion of the 1000 generations which He has stated shall live/exist upon the earth. Yet to bring to pass 1000 generations will require an overwhelming epoch of time that appears to have begun with Abraham and which will extend many, many eons past the Millennial Reign of the Mashiach. So how might all these things be directly related to the Melchitzedek Priesthood? In this study, we have seen that both Yoseph and Yehoshua were given to meditation upon the Torah both day and night. In the case of Yospeh, we are told that all he did was made to prosper: And his master saw that hwhy was with him, and that hwhy made all that he did to prosper in his hand. Genesis 39:3

Genesis 39:23 And the Hebrew words which spoke of that prosperity are practically mirrored in the words revealed in Tehillim 1: 1 The blessedness of the man that does not walk in the counsel of the lawless, and in the in the way of sinners does not stand, and in the seat of scoffers does not sit! 2 But his delight is in the Torah of hwhy; and in His Torah he meditates by day and night. 3 And he will be like a tree planted upon streams of water, that gives its fruit in his time; and his leaf does not wither. And whatever he does he prospers. Tehillim/Psalms 1:1-3 This indicates Yoseph was the recipient of those blessings which come upon the man who meditates in the Torah day and night. Further, when Yehoshua was first commissioned by hwhy to lead Yisrael into the Land of Promise, he was directed to meditate in the Book of the Torah by day and night: Do not let this Book of the Torah depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you guard to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and act wisely. Yehoshua/Joshua 1:8, ISRV Amazingly enough, the Hebrew phrase Book of the Torah has a place value of 110, and just like the Word of the Messiah in Matthew 5:17-20, it points us to the unending importance of the Torah within the Melchitzedek Priesthood:342

The Book of Hebrews openly declares the Melchitzedek Priesthood of the Mashiach.343 And the inspired lines of that early document further indicate the Torah of hwhy is written upon hearts and minds of all those who seek hwhy through eSwhy.344 And only those who are doers of the Torah will be justified to magnify His Name by partaking in the First Resurrection.345

The End of All Things is Near The Kingdom of Heaven is about to come to this Earth in a new and living way. When eSwhy returns to reign out of Mount Tziyon over all Yisrael and over all the world, it will be the commencement of a new epoch in which hwhy has drawn still closer to His people and they know still more of His Presence, His Word, His will, and His ways. Living a life to qualify for greatness and reward in this coming Kingdom should be the ultimate aim of all those who believe eSwhy died for their sins. Having this as ones lifetime goal is what it means to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.346 Being prophets who faithfully served hwhy, we assert Yoseph and Yehoshua ben Nun have already obtained such a reward and, so, they will sit down at the table with Abraham, Yitschak/Isaac, and Yaacov/Jacob in the Kingdom of Elohim.347 Believers in the Messiah are already subjects within the Saviors Melchitzedek Priesthood and those who live a lifetime of faithful service to eSwhy will be promoted to long-term and permanent rule over the nations within this Great and Preeminent Priesthood. A significant part of this faithful service, presently, involves observing/upholding the Feasts of hwhy which the majority of the believing world in our day claims to have long since been abolished by the Saviors death. On the contrary, we have seen the Melchitzedek Priesthood is intimately associated with the Feasts which were originally called perpetual statues by hwhy.348 And we see clear Scripture texts which show these Feasts are to be observed worldwide in the coming Kingdom.349 Our Messiah is hwhy Tsebaot (75) and He is also the Ultimate Priest (75)/Intercessor over all Yisrael. And eSwhy is the Great Priest who now reveals to His chosen ones the light and wisdom of the Fathers Torah.350 May those who desire more of the Presence of hwhy come to the Messiah to find help and salvation and to obtain His strength to do the Fathers eternal will. t

This articles inception occurred many years ago and striving to walk in meditation-derived obedience, the author has repeatedly pondered the topic across a lengthy time span. From time to time, these notes were recorded in the present manuscript and were then further edited as hwhy revealed still more of His Word. However, when the Spirit began revealing such a significant number of Hebrew words and phrases that added to 110 (and all of this occurring apart from any direct intention on my part to find such amazing number values), it became evident that we should go forward on finally finishing the present work. The time-span on the copyright attempts to reflect this history.

We believe most copyrights have been abused worldwide in religious circles as false shepherds and other merchants feed on the sin of the people. These many abuses have filled the worship house of hwhy with money changers who hinder True Worship by robbing and oppressing the poor.351 Many have turned reverence and the worship of hwhy into a means of great, personal gain.352 We assert such things were never meant to be.353 Hence, this copyright is intended to allow for free distribution of the Word of hwhy with the following, minimal limitations: This document may be copied and distributed (or freely printed in its pdf format after being downloaded from the Internet): 1. A letters place value, or what some people call the ordinal value, is simply obtained by finding its numerical order, or position, within the ALEPH-BEIT. So, from first to last, we have ALEPH = 1 while TAV = 22. Below are provided more compact Place Value and Misparim Charts which readers may wish to print and cut out so you may more readily confirm the calculations in this document as well as finding the MV or PV of any Hebrew word.
