Taiwan Companies Showcase Innovative Technology at International Consumer Electronics Fair

Firms show versatility through a variety of cutting-edge offerings
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. TAIPEI, TAIWAN, August, 2011 Taiwans electronics companies will showcase the wide range of inventive technology being developed on the island at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances Fair (IFA), the worlds leading business event for consumer electronics and home appliances. The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion (located at Hall 27 Stand 700) will feature 110 product winners of the Taiwan Excellence Award. The awards are designed to encourage innovation and value in Taiwanese product design. The first quarter of 2011 reinforced Taiwans dominance in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry with a strong showing in several categories. According to a recent International Data Corporation (IDC) report, in server exports alone, Taiwans quarterly tracking showed a market revenue growth of 27.5% in the first quarter of 2011. In the handset industry, smartphone shipments continued to grow, breaking 40% of the market share. At IFA, representatives from some of Taiwans leading consumer electronics companies will conduct the product launch and presentation on September 3 in Conference Room 42 at the International Congress Center Berlin (ICC).
