Gas Canopy

B Level Canopy
All existing canopy decals and signage need to be removed from fascia. All existing POP, spandrels, and secondary signs need to be removed. Install new BP Pearl ACM. Bullnose decal and LED light strip to be applied to 3 sides of the canopy. The 4th side of the canopy must receive a bullnose decal, but LED light strip is optional. Canopy corners must be squared off. The bullnose end caps must terminate 6 from end of canopy. The beveled section of bullnose must be placed 4 from Helios (36) on each side. 3 illuminated Helios to be installed. Exceptions must be approved by BP Brand Conversion team. Canopy deck must be painted High Hiding White.

C Level Canopy

Aluminum valance with BP branded decals. Short side of the valance should face the street, not the center of the canopy. If the site is full serve, you must remove the SELF decal and replace it with the FULL decal.

In some cases where a standard 57 or flat panel 52 valance will not fit between the canopy columns, the valance will need to be cut to terminate into the canopy columns.

Old Decal Removal

Remove existing valance Remove all existing POP from dispenser(s) Remove dispenser cladding (if applicable) Install BP imaged door skin(s) if application of BP lower door decal(s) is necessary, then the dispenser door(s) will need to be sanded or filler applied to accept new graphics. This is to ensure old graphics do not show through.

Proprietary signage cannot be installed on a BP branded Shop imaged fascia. It must be installed on the building wall under the fascia. All existing signage and decals on the fascia must be removed. Existing fascia must be in good condition Building fascia will be painted BP Retail Green. 3.5, 6, or 9 green gradation stripe to be applied to the bottom of the building fascia. BP illuminated Shop sign or Shop decal will be applied over main entrance. In situations where there are 2 entrances on opposite sides, 2 signs would be applied. Shop sign must be mounted above the gradient stripe and cannot touch it. Under no circumstance can the letters BP or the Helios be used on the building in any way, shape, or form.

27.5 Inverted Gilbarco Hardware


Remove the existing screws on one side of the top inside of the pump. Peel an inch or two of one end of the paper covering on the tape on the channel (03) and fold it over at a 45 degree angle as shown in Figure A. Align the slots in the channel (03) with the holes in the top inside of the pump. The open edge of the channel should face the inside of the pump. Refer to Figure A and Side View Figure C. Loosely secure the channel (03) using the screws previously removed and new washers provided. Tighten the screws only about half way. Peel the paper covering the rest of the way off of the foam tape on the channel and press firmly against the pump top. Tighten the screws. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the second channel (03). Bend the flaps on the pump graphic (104) and fold the graphic at the crease. Refer to Figure B. Insert flap A into the back channel (03) first then insert flap B into the front channel (03). See graphic detail. Gently pull the graphic until locks into place.

If your pump is a new pump, use the screws provided to secure the channels. Place the channels parallel to each other with an even amount of space on both sides. Refer to Figure C. Bend the flaps on the pump graphic (104) and fold the graphic (104) at the crease. Refer to Figure B. Insert flap A into the back channel (103) first, then insert flap B into the front channel (103). See graphic detail. Gently pull the graphic until it locks into place.

Clean the application surface so it is free of dust and other contaminants. Insert the graphic card into the extrusion. Remove the paper covering from the bottom of the extrusion. Adhere the extrusion back to back to the top of the pump, flush with the front edge. Press firmly to adhere. NOTE: Certain model Ovation LX dispensers cannot accommodate crind hardware due to curved dome on top of dispenser.

Set Universal Bracket (33) on to pump column as shown, making sure that bolt heads go through holes in bracket. Attach the first Universal Bracket (33) to pump as shown, using self-drilling screws [A]. Attach second bracket to the other column. Attach the first Pump Channel (63) to the 2 Universal Brackets (33) as shown using the screws [B] supplied. Attach second Pump Channel to the other side.

H Pump Approach Hardware


Due to the various pump sizes, you will need to find the center of the side of the pump. Mark the center with a very light pencil line. Place the channels on either side of the center line with an even amount of space between the line and the channel. 19 is the maximum distance apart, if necessary, based on pump width, the channels may be placed closer together, creating an arch in the center of the graphic panel. Make sure the channels are parallel to each other and placed at a height of 4 feet from the ground. Secure the channels to the pump using the screws provided. Insert flap A into the left channel first. Gently flex the graphic and insert flap B into the right channel. Pull down on the graphic to lock it in place.

Universal Ovation Pump Approach Hardware

Attach the 2 Strap assemblies (03) to the channel (50) using Nuts (A) as shown. 03 Place Channel (50) with Straps (03) around pillar of 50 pump. Attach first Bracket (34) to top Strap (03) using supplied Lock Nuts (A). Repeat for second bottom bracket. Insert Graphic (shipped separately) into channel. 34 Gently pull down on graphic until it locks into place. Insert plastic screw into bottom hole in channel (50). Secure plastic screw with plastic wing nut. (Plastic screw and wing nut are packed with graphic.)

Hose bracket channel faces the direction of sign frame with slot opening on top. 2 Enclosed are 2 sets of fasteners, but only 1 set is required. Measure the diameter of your gas hose to determine the appropriate fastener. A. Use the hose clamps for outside diameters between 1 and 1- 9/16. Place one clamp in each recessed area of bracket and tighten. (See illustration 2.) To loosen hose clamps, press teeth in opposite directions (vertically). (See illustration 2C). B. Other diameters fasten with cable ties. Position one cable tie in each recessed area of bracket and tighten. C. Cut off cable tie excess. D. To reinforce clamp use cable tie. Cut off excess cable tie.
