2012 GCE A-LEVEL RESULTS Indigo students have done it again! 51%* scored A for General Paper and 62%* for Economics. This is well above the national distinction rate of 19% for GP and 39% for Economics. Samuel Lim, Group Director Curriculum Studies said, "If you look at the feedback from our students, it is the way we advance their level of critical thinking that allows them to do well. Not just in GP, but in Economics, for those who took up our twin package. The high level of self motivation, the various developmental workshops and academic seminars as well as mentorship of students by corporate leaders also contributed to Indigo students academic success."

Excerpts of students testimonials

Before I joined Indigo, Economics was a subject that I was interested in but afraid of. I couldn't apply it effectively and thus obtained horrible grades. . the questions that the teachers at Indigo posed in class were insightful, and the positive attitude the teachers had when prompting us with these questions made me feel more confident and sure of myself when answering them. The targeted approach to tackling exams also helped me to achieve better grades. Wu Yanlin, RI, Class of 2012 A in A-Level Economics Really grateful to have joined the econs tuition after getting U and S for my school exams but finally scored an A for A levels. I couldn't have done it without the help of my dedicated and experienced tutor, Mrs Lim! Thank you for your guidance and patience! :) Danica, MJC, Class of 2012 A in A-Level Economics Apart from instilling critical thinking, Indigo also prepares students very well for examinations with focused practices for essay and comprehension respectively. The exposure to current affairs has also made me more acutely aware of the world around me and I continue to read up even after GP has ended. Poh Yu Ting, Hwa Chong Institution, Class of 2012 A in A-Level General Paper

Indigo's GP lessons were extremely focused on the requirements and helped guide my answers in a way that did not compromise creativity. It helped me develop key content and ideas at the back of my hand. Also, I was able to realize my strengths and weaknesses in a composition to help make an excellent choice in the A level examination. Amelia Quek, Temasek Junior College, Class of 2012 A in A-Level General Paper

Mark Chang, CEO of Talent Catalyst said, For enrichment center to set up a training academy is a bold move and visionary."

Sean Koh, founder and Managing Director of DCatalyst, an ex-scholar and a graduate from Stanford University said, I am lecturing in SMU, and until lately in another university as well. However, when I started to teach at Indigo, I had to be trained to ensure that I am able to deliver the lesson with a sharp focus on academic excellence and without losing the emphasis on other vitally important areas such as the long-term development of students, the instilling of selfconfidence and the introduction of real world experiences to motivate students. One key piece is the application of my knowledge on design thinking to enhance students level of critical thinking skill. I am not surprised that their students can do so well." Mark Chang aptly summed up the Indigo teaching bench strength with this comment: The management team spares no effort to assemble a team of professionals, from teachers to top corporate leaders and professionals in their respective fields, with a shared vision to impart, to educate and to challenge its students to be more than they ever imagined.
