Creative planning for beautiful wardrobes

To help you create your perfect wardrobe, wed like to share some useful ideas that should be considered when planning your wardrobes. Dimensions and location  Consider the size of the room in which you intend to install the wardrobe.  The ideal depth of a wardrobe is 650mm to prevent wider clothing from getting caught in the doors.  Check that hinged wardrobe doors will not open onto hanging light fittings, furniture or doorways.  Collisions can be avoided by ensuring that the wardrobe doors dont open onto bedroom doorways.  A wardrobe should be placed clear of windows.  If you only have one power point in a room, its best not to cover it with a wardrobe.  If you have ornate plaster cornices we suggest that the wardrobe stops short of the cornice to avoid interrupting the line and beauty of the plasterwork.  Uneven floors and walls can be accommodated in most applications.

Clever on the inside

Whether you choose a built-in or a walk-in wardrobe, its the internal systems where Stegbar combines function with style. The internal configuration of your wardrobe can be designed so changes can be easily accommodated as your needs evolve. Correctly designed hanging areas make a big difference. Well design your hanging rails around the number of long garments you have so all your clothes will be stored properly, without being creased. A combination of fixed and adjustable shelves will give you an extremely practical storage combination. Adjustable shelves can be moved up or down to accommodate changes, or removed completely to make room for bulkier items. We suggest a good design should include drawers and baskets that come in a range of heights and widths for storing smaller items.

Smart accessories
Our wardrobes can incorporate purpose built racks so your shoes are stored neatly. Special compartments can be added to store hats and other personal fashion accessories, and custom made hanging units that will store ties and belts neatly.
