I nspired Design
Optik was designed as a presentation vehicle, which maximises the impor tance of food texture. The sensuous cur ves and interplay of light and shade the embossment provides help to focus the eye on the food and to draw comparisons bet ween the textured elements of the ware and the natural grain present in most foods. Optik has a natural, tactile qualit y, which invites the diner to explore the sur faces of the piece. The embossment is subtly dif ferent on each item, fur ther enhancing visual appeal. Optik also has the ef fect of adding sparkle from reflected light as it catches tiny highlights on the pristine glaze, formed by the underlying embossment.

Craft Grey is a new introduction for 2013. It has been specifically developed to enhance the colour values and tones of food to make dishes even more appealing and perceptibly more flavourful and is inspired by natural occurring textures. The rich neutral colour provides a deep contrasting platform, which works as a natural base to bring out the best in quality food presentation. Each piece of Craft Grey is individually hand decorated, so no two pieces will be the same. Further magic happens in the kiln as the glaze reacts to produce beautiful and random textured effects. Craft Grey works beautifully on its own, or can be co-ordinated with any of the complementar y colours in the Craft range.
