DIRECTIONS Blueberry Filling: NOTE: Filling has been modified from original pattern to be not quite as "deep dish". Blueberry filling is worked in Reverse Stockinette Stitch. With smaller needles, loosely cast on 8 sts in CC. P 1 row. Start pattern: Set-up row (WS): K2, bbl inc, k1, bbl inc, k1, bbl inc, k1. Row 1: P. Row 2: K1, (bbl inc, bbl dec) 3 times, k1. Row 3: P. Crust: With smaller needles, cast on 42 sts in MC. Row 1: P. Row 2: (K4, k2tog) 7 times. Row 3: (P2tog, p3) 7 times. Row 4: (K2, k2tog) 7 times. Row 5: P to last 2 sts, p2tog. 20 sts rem. Row 6: P. Beginning with a knit row, work 10 rows stockinette (or to width of finished blueberry filling), ending with a WS row. P 2 rows. For the base, starting with a knit row, work 6 rows of stockinette. Continue in stockinette, decreasing 1 stitch on each side every other row until 2 sts remain. P2tog on WS, break yarn and draw end through last stitch. For the top, using the larger needle pick up 22 stitches along purl ridge where crust edge meets the back. Start working Lattice Chart. After the end of the chart, draw yarn end through last stitch.

With CC, work duplicate stitch in the plain "background" stockinette sts between the lattices. You can leave the yarn ends and just stuff them inside while seaming. Finishing: Weave in all ends. If using acrylic, check yarn label if light ironing is permissible. Use steam and light iron setting to block. If using wool, a light spritz blocking should suffice. Using MC, sew the top and bottom of the filling lengthwise around pie wedge except for enough of one side to fit in stuffing. Stuff with filler and seam up last side. Enjoy! Lattice Chart
