Burst 1400

Foam Prevention and Control Agent

Nonionic polyglycol ester Used for foam prevention and control in municipal and industrial effluent streams. Burst 1400 is especially effective in treating foam in biological systems, digesters, and river outfalls. Dose is typically 2-20 ppm of the flow being treated. This product is not suitable for use in potable water applications. Burst 1400 complies with FDA 21CFR 176.170, 176.180, 176.200 and 176.210. Enhances process efficiency. Offers very fast knockdown, excellent stamina, and high spread rate form maximum effectiveness. Improves plant discharge compliance. Suitable for various applications. Can be applied neat or diluted in warm or cold water.

Shipping and Handling

This product is compatible with most materials such as fibreglass, 306 and 316 grade stainless steel, LDPE, HDPE, polypropylene, PVC, and epoxy linings. Carbon steel components are not recommended. Spilled product is slippery underfoot, very slippery when wet. Information on the shipping and handling of this product can be found in the relevant MSDS. Disposal of product must comply with all national, state and local laws. Detailed information on this product can be found in the relevant Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). BASF sales representatives and field service technicians are available to give advice and assistance in the running of laboratory tests and machine trials to select the correct product and determine the best application conditions.
