>>> In this ff, the year in which HP was born was advanced three years in JK's books. >>> She put her hand over her eyes. There were still a long distance until the Castle. She tried calm down, needed to think; even if it was just a dream. And it wasn't. All the exhaustion, the bad-slept night, the reality of it all convincing her of that. So, it was better begin the hike. She put the hood over her hair and get walking. Fast. Hoping do not attract attention if there was someone looking. Looked at the soil ground, the leaves, the sticks... all these things turned it into real. When she reached the staircase, put her hand in it slowly, feeling the old rock texture. She looked up and smiled. She went up slowly. Like a child enjoying a sweetmeat. Was still smiling when got at the big door, and hesitated just one second, observing the details. She pushed it. There were no one in view, but she heard distant voices. She entered, the heart beating fast. Weird. It was August. 'Never mind'. She bit her lip anxiously. Maybe
they were studying... She walk in direction in the voices direction. Suddenly, a cat appeared. -Mrs. Norris. -she murmured, dazzled, looking the cat that meowed. 'It means that...' -What do you want here? The school didn't open yet. Argus Filch stand in front of her frowned. A bit different, but he own. She tried recompose herself and smiled, insecure. She breathed. -Good morning. - stopped for a second - I need to talk with Dumbledore. It's important.she added, after saw his suspicious look. He got Mrs. Norris. He seemed to think as he looked to her with narrow and distrust eyes. Deciding. -This way. - he was still diffident.- But he must be having breakfast now. I will tell him that you want talk to him. What's your name? - Cristina Ventur. - she hoped that he didn't have noticed the little bit she wait before saying her name. It looked like he was waiting something. Recognize her? She smiled. -Came with me.- He turned, no waiting any answer. But she knew that he was watching her. They walked through the corridor. She was uneasy, apprehensive, trembling. She didn't know how tell to the Headmaster. Or what to tell.

And it would be worse if there was people around. Specially a specific person. When the voices got louder, she noticed they came from a door in front of them. She stopped. -May you call him, please? - she asked and smiled apprehensively. The cat looked at her for a moment. He imitated her, narrow eyes. -Stay here. - he turned and began walking. -Thank you. -he didn't turn back. She felt a long time had passed by. She stayed there, nervous, waiting. Suddenly she saw him. He was all that she had imagined. She was speechless, looking he coming. -Good morning.- she hear the calm voice. -I'm Dumbledore. -he smiled, looking droll and inquisitive at the same time. -Do you want talk to me? -Y-yes.- she stopped, trying to dominate the surprise. -And what is that about? - the smile seemed had became larger. She noticed she was acting like a child. Trembled her head. -May we talk in private, please? - she hoped he didn't notice her trembling voice. Mrs. Norris stayed at the door. She wasn't sure that he had hesitated for a second. -Of course. - he showed the way. -Come with me, let's go to my office. He walked slowly, seemed to have the age he had. She noticed that some things were a bit different. -It would be difficult talk around... somebody else. - she tried to explain as walked beside him. She tried to imagine what he was thinking. -We'll be better in my office. - he did not seem upset. -This way, please. Kept walking in silence, observing him. And the castle. Dazzled. She saw the gargoyle, it was amazedly well-sculpt. And old. The stone was dark in some points. He came near to it and signed her to follow him. -Chocolate Frog. She didn't hear any noise while the staircase rise or when it stopped. The door was of a solid and old timber. He opened it. When she came in, she thought that she had to get used to some things. Nor everything was like in the books, it was more real. There was much of its beauty here, but also it was more... normal. -Came in and sit down. - he said, sitting behind his desk. She realized she had stayed at the door. She walked, step by step, observing him. It was a bit cold there, despite the sun that entered by the window. The portraits seemed motionless. 'No'. She had seen a small motion. She sat down in the chair in front of him and looked at him. Blues stared at her. She noticed full attention behind their niceness. She and bite her lip. -I-I don't know how to begin. 'You can begin stopping acting like an idiot! '- she thought, mad. He smiled. -Why don't you tell me your name? She sighed. -Cristina Ventur. - his eyes calmed her, she noticed. - Everybody calls me Nina. -Well, Mrs. Ventur, I am Dumbledore. And they emanate security, like if they hypnotised her. -I know. Albus Dumbledore. she murmured Hogwarts Headmaster. Order of Merlin, First Class. And a lot of other things. The greater alive wizard. He didn't move and smiled again, didn't seem surprised. -I am in disadvantage, Mrs. Ventur, cause you know so much about me. Well, there wasn't any reason to delay it. -I'm a muggle. Silence. He seemed to see her for the first time, his eyes going from the cloak to her clothes. 'Muggle'. She almost laugh. 'That's it. It would be funny if it wasn't tragical. '- she thought, tense. -Yes.- his voice was still calm. - And why you came asking for me? She calmed down, breathing away. He would listened her as she spoke, no forcing. -To you help me to return home. Cause I'm sure I can't stay here. 'Even if I wanted to.' -And who told you I can help? She wrinkled her brows, no understanding. -Everyone knows you are a powerful wizard. And although I know you will obliviate me, I'm sure you would never hurt anyone. Even a muggle.

- Of course I will not hurt you. - his voice was tranquilizing. -I just want to know who sent you. -No one. I got a Portkey... well, a part of a Portkey... and I appeared here. I thought we could resolve it all when I found you. He stayed in silence for a while. - Maybe I'm not asking in the right way. How you know who I am? Who told you? She got confused. She imagined that the books had been authorized and the wizards had to know about them. There wasn't how to hide it. - I read in Harry Potter's books. He straightened himself on his chair slowly. - What books? -The books.- her hands sweated, the anxiousness in her voice.- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the Prisoner of Azkaban, the Goblet of Fire, the Order of the Phoenix...- she stopped. He had narrowed his eyes. So she noticed... fear suggested. If there were books, Voldmort would know about the Order of Phoenix! So... - Oh my God!- all got darken. - Breath slowly. - she heard he saying. She had thought that the wizards had allowed the books' publishing, figuring on the fact that no one muggle would believe in them. It would be even easier... no one would be believed if he had said that there were wizards. Even she had difficulty to believe in that. And she was there! But she hadn't thought about the implications of it. Breathed slowly and stoop her head. She heard the sound of a cup been put in front of her and looked at it. -Thanks. - murmured. The cup trembled. She swallow it and put it back in the desk. Didn't want it falling, she was so shaking... -Now - he asked, and she noticed the seriousness- tell me about what is written in the books. - I thought them were just stories to kids. They told about Hogwarts. About Harry Potter, Hermione, Rony, Voldmort... He wrinkled his brows. - And you are a muggle? - she saw something in his eyes. -I am!- he couldn't doubt her!- You can try me. I can't do any spell. Well, I wish I could, but... - she was tense, lost. 'What I'm saying!?' It was getting harder and harder. Maybe it was a dream after all. She pinched herself. Wasn't. She rubbed her arm discreetly. 'Oh, God!' She remembered something. - Try Veritasserum!- she said anxiously. -So you will know I'm telling the truth. Everything I know about the wizard's world is in the books. she brough her hand to her left temple. He was quiet for a while. She waited and bit her lips, afflict eyes. - Tell me about this... book. The Order of Phoenix. -You are the Secret-Keeper. The Order is in... She got scared. She couldn't say the words. She looked at him nervously. He couldn't had cast any spell... - You can't say where it is. After a while, she understood. She couldn't say where it is because he were the SecretKeeper. Just the one to whom he had told that would be able to tell it. But everyone tells it! She breathed slowly. -Well, it is in Black's mansion. - she turned aside.- There's Lupin, the Weasleys, Tonks, Moody and another people... He seemed had trembled. She got another gulp of tea and noticed she was hungry. -And is it all in a book? -Yes. At least five hundred pages just in the fifth book.- she told slowly and stopped.- Is Umbridge still in the infirmary? He hesitated, the forehead a bit wrinkled. -No.

He cast an emerald glittering powder in the fireplace and asked some sandwiches. She took a glance around. The old Sorting Hat was above a shelf. Or it that seemed to be the Sorting Hat. With a thing she could agree. It was old. And dirty. And ugly. That was given her some time to try relax. She turn back when heard a noise, he took off the lid of a tray with sandwiches. -Do you want a sandwich? She hesitated, looking at him. But his eyes were kind and attentive. She got one of them. -Thanks. I haven't eaten nothing since yesterday. - she murmured and bit it. He waited, observing her while she eat. -Those books... everyone can buy them?- heard the neutre voice. She swallowed and looked at him discreetly. -Yes.- murmured- millions of books sold around the world. Since 1999 they are a big success. - she bit it again. -1999? - Yeah. Harry is in the Sixth Year now. Weird, the school is so empty. He was immobile. Arranged his glasses and rise up. She observed him while eating her sandwich. He walked to the window, but he didn't seem to be looking by it. Turned back, serious, looking at her. - There's no an easy way to say it. - stopped. He watched her. - We are in 1993, in August. There will not be students until September. She opened her mouth. Closed it. Everything got darken again and she almost fallen this time. He helped her again. Considering the age he had, he was fast. - Breath. - said slowly. - Come on. Stoop your head. Her body got better, but she was still dizzy. - Calm down, we'll resolve everything. Don't worry. He waited a moment and settled again. She kept speechless. This is not possible!' -Now tell me, in what year you... what year is it to you? She looked at him, lost. - 2004.- slim voice. She swayed her head... couldn't believe in it. -Tell me all that happened yesterday.- he asked.- From the beginning. - looked at her above his glasses. She sighed. Another long day... The Headmaster lifted up when she stop talking, among some confuse and lost sentences, everything that happened until she arrived at Hogwarts. -Well, I still want to know more about those books. -he looked at her, seeing the weary, almost despair. - But no now. You are tired. I will ask Minerva to get you a place to rest.told her, gentle.- After lunch we can continue. Come on. She was really exhaust. Her body, because of the night among the trees, the coldness, the walking. Her mind, because of the emotions, the incredulity, the talk, the surprises... She hadn't adapt herself, hadn't accept it all. Not completely. And she was sure she couldn't rest. Sighed. - Do you think the candlestick was kind of a Time-Turner? She noticed he hesitated for a moment. It would be hard get used to a muggle talking like this. -No. -No?- she stopped. -No. Probably it was a Portkey. To a Time-Portal. After a second, she understood. - And now it's gone. - said slowly.- How will I come back?- just a whisper, her eyes stinging. - Don't worry, now. Try to rest a bit.- the voice was gentle, but there was something else, like concern- We'll talk later. He looked tired. She sighed and closed her eyes for a while. Followed him until the door and left through the gargoyle. After some staircases and corridors, he stopped in front of a door and knocked. When it got open, Minerva McGonagall was there, looking at Nina.

Her stomach rumbled. In spite of everything, he smiled. She got abashed.

- Yes, professor Dumbledore? She noticed the serious posture of the... witch. My God... - I need your help. Professor Minerva McGonagall, this is... - Cristiana Ventur. - she completed slowly. He smiled. A tired smile. Minerva got tense when noticed it and looked at her in a harsh way this time. - She will be our guest. I would like you to get a room where she could rest until the lunch, please. Minerva wrinkled her forehead. This was unusual. He could had asked an House-elf to do it. The Headmaster never do anything without a good reason. - Of course. It may be the room after the end of this corridor. It's the closer to my lodging. - That's great. Please ask an Home-elf to prepare it as soon as possible. - turn to Nina. You will be fine with Professor McGonagall. I had to came back to my office. - smiled, encouraging her. - We will meet each other later. When he started walking, Minerva called him. Went to him and they talked for a while. She came back. - The lunch is at midday. There's no students, as you may know. - said, grave.- There will be just some professors and us. - Alright. Thank you.- she hesitated. - It would be a nuisance if I ask you to send someone to call me? Phephaps I sleep and... - she didn't know what the Headmaster had told her, but she didn't want get lost there. - I will call you, don't worry. - she still seemed severe. - Thanks. - she smiled. She received back a poor imitation of a smile. Deviated her eyes, silent. Waiting. After a while, the professor turn back. - The room must be ready. Please, follow me. Minerva McGonagall began walking slowly until the end of the corridor, turned the corner and stopped in front of a door. - You can rest here. Hope you like it. There was not hostility. Nor niceness. - That's great, thank you. Minerva waited she to go in and closed the door. Nina suspected that she would do a spell to keep her there. Sighed. She observed the room. It was quite big. A chair and a desk, a bed, a wardrobe and a commode. There was a door. She went to it and found a bathroom. 'Thanks, God!' Used it. Found towels in the closet and took a bath. There was a bathrobe, better than nothing. Dressed it and lay in the bed. She thought she wouldn't sleep, but it wasn't what happened. Some discreet knocks at the door. She thought it was strange not to be in her bedroom when opened her eyes. And there was someone knocking. She looked around and suddenly remembered. Sighed. She uprose and opened the door. Professor McGonagal was there, a bit pale, she noticed. - That's good you could rest. - she looked less severe and there was a tray on her hands.- Observing the circumstances, I thought that maybe you would prefer to have lunch here. -Oh, I would be very grateful. - she smiled, disguising a yawn. She still felt tired. Irrespective of the 'circumstances' she had refer to, Nina was glad for no having to go anywhere. She didn't have time to think, because had slept. And the perspective of meeting the others now was scaring. She got the tray. - So, I'll be back latter. - Ok, thanks. As in the first time, she waited until Nina closed the door. She didn't worry... thinking about it all, this was her smaller preoccupation. Put the tray in the table and took off the lid. There was a lot of food, many sorts of sandwiches, milk and pumpkin juice. 'Wow!' There was food to two or three people. Her stomach rumbled and she smiled sadly. The world could explode, and she still would be hungry. Started eating slowly, thinking about everything. She was trying to absorve all that was going on, like did with the food. Suddenly everything had changed. It was like to live in a Fairy Tale.. which wasn't so wonderful at

all... Here she wasn't important. A muggle. She didn't have her work or her life. No one caring about her. Got imovel. She wouldn't see her nephews, brothers, parents. Her eyes burned. She moved. Wouldn't cry.
