...many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Dan 12:4 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Mt 24:14

By Extraordinary Methods.--In the cities of today, where there is so much to attract and please, the people can be interested by no ordinary efforts. Ministers of God's appointment will find it necessary to put forth extraordinary efforts in order to arrest the attention of the multitudes. And when they succeed in bringing together a large number of people, they must bear messages of a character so out of the usual order that the people will be aroused and warned. They must make use of every means that can possibly be devised for causing the truth to stand out clearly and distinctly.--Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 109. (1909) {Ev 122.3}

from Bible & SOP

Devise New and Unusual Plans.--Let every worker in the Master's vineyard, study, plan, devise methods, to reach the people where they are. We must do something out of the common course of things. We must arrest the attention. We must be deadly in earnest. We are on the very verge of times of trouble and perplexities that are scarcely dreamed of.--Letter 20, 1893. {Ev 122.4}

from Bible & SOP

Christ Used Various Methods.--From Christ's methods of labor we may learn many valuable lessons. He did not follow merely one method; in various ways He sought to gain the attention of the multitude; and then He proclaimed to them the truths of the gospel.-Review and Herald, Jan. 17, 1907. {Ev 123.1}

Amen." mat 28:20 - into all the world, teaching them ALL things (not halfventist). EGW talks about binding off the work thoroughly in the book Evangelism.

from Bible & SOP

The Evangelist Must Finish His InstructionA laborer should never leave some portion of the work undone because it is not agreeable to perform, thinking that the minister coming next will do it for him. When this is the case, if a second minister follows the first, and presents the claims that God has upon His people, some draw back, saying, The minister who brought us the truth did not mention these things. And they become offended because of the Word. Some refuse to accept the tithing system; they turn away, and no longer walk with those who believe and love the truth. When other lines are opened before them, they answer, It was not so taught us, and they hesitate to move forward. How much better it would have been if the first messenger of truth had faithfully and thoroughly educated these converts in regard to all essential matters, even if fewer had been added to the church under his labors.Gospel Workers, 369, 370 (1915).

from Bible & SOP

A Work That Will Not Ravel OutMinisters should not feel that their work is finished until those who have accepted the theory of the truth realize indeed the influence of its sanctifying power, and are truly converted. When the Word of God, as a sharp, twoedged sword, cuts its way to the heart and arouses the conscience, many suppose that this is enough; but the work is only begun. Good impressions have been made, but unless these impressions are deepened by

Netcasting Examples

youtube

2nd most popular search engine title our videos how people would ask questions very low average viewing time (about 3-7 minutes only depending on country) videos that have high average viewing time are very biblical (jun lumingkit, doug batchelor, mark finley) most popular tagalog message is about love courtship and marriage getting it right by pastor joe orbe jr. (high interest in title, all year round and specially very high during valentines month!) pasting video on facebook works proportionally. more pasted on different groups, the more views.

Netcasting Examples

Podcasting workflow (winelfredpasamba youtube channel)

shoot w/ camera(s), [edit], upload, advertise tip for single camera setup: use camera with mic-input for clear audio. Connect mic to mixer out (& reduce 40db for line->mic level conversion) or position mic in front of loudspeaker. (remember habakkuk 2:2 - make it clear) major factors affecting number of views: promotion in FB groups, topic, speaker popularity, title, description, & tags

Other Examples

Facebook

pasting on specific time of the day gets more views. e.g. just about before people login (7am, 7pm?, afterchurch, early sunday am (afterchurch in US)). fb limited what's on our wall to the last 40 people we interacted with. so this means we have to all paste and share the message for maximum exposure. we should post helpful things, informative things, so people will like, and people will also interact, and people will see our posts.

Other Examples

nobody gets baptized on facebook, youtube, etc even by virtual water, if there will be such a thing. we still have to know how to do it the proven old way. making friends, teaching, praying, fasting, coordinating with the church, etc... the church is one of the most efficient ways to do evangelism.

Other Examples

-technology can be considered as the "tract", or book, or letter (of paul) of this age.

if you want to do evangelism, the big manual is the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. the small manual is the book Evangelism by EGW. if you think humans are machines, the manual is the Bible and SOP.

for video editors, blog editors, book editors, magazine editor, facebook editors of your own posts, there is a manual Counsels to Writers and Editors... -for music ministers, signers, video editors, instrumentalists, music directors, there's a manual in the book Evangelism chapter 18

"Music is acceptable to God only when the heart is sanctified and made soft and holy by its facilities." Ev 512

Other Examples

amazingfacts philippines recently (quezon city memorial circle / manila center church / pafcoe / 1500-2000 attendees ~ 143 baptized, 5 weeks (10 days by doug batchelor himself))

they interviewed many of the people who came for baptism and they asked which church who gave bible studies, and many of them came directly from internet invitations (facebook) and from watching videos online. what we learned - biblical preaching is what people want media setup / worflow, interesting because clc amaginggrace media productions, hcbn, ang-tinig-sa ilang, manila center media team, hope channel luzon volunteers and others got together with different kinds of equipment.

Challenge

reminder:

asi ministries, church-supporting ministries; don't accept tithe from sda members, you don't want your ministry to be questionable, tell donors to send tithe to the storehouse tell donors to be faithful with tithes (10%) and offerings (freewill 10%) first to the church, then they can freely give of the remaining 80% to supporting ministries. Advertise that the church is one of the most efficient in doing gospel work (according to egw) including missions, awr, hopechannel, satellite evangelism, internet evangelism, revival&reformation, educational institutions, hospitals, literature evangelism, etc...

Challenge

reminder:

even if 100% of sda are faithful with tithes & offerings (assumed 20% of income), 80% is still remaining in members pockets for their own ministries thou shalt not covet thou shalt not bear false witness

Stay on the ground

Luke 10:20 Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Even if God allows us to do nice things, we should remain humble.

fellow servants

biblical view towards fellow media ministries:

Mark 9:38John said to Him, Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us. 39But Jesus said, Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40For he who is not against us is for us. 41For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.

fellow servants

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Let us pray for each others' media ministries, that we be faithful to the Bible. Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
