Library is the soul of any institution. It is a center of acquiring, processing, preserving and disseminating information to the user community with the motto of empowering knowledge, H.T.Parekh library is an invaluable resource for students, researchers and faculties of economics, finance, management and allied subjects. It has well trained staff and an automated library system to enrich the user community with a wide range of its collection comprises predominantly literature pertaining to Business, management apart from other allied areas. Its collection development policies and information services are mandated by Institute's teaching; research and training objectives. Library Timings Monday- Friday : 09:15 am to 08:30 pm. HT Parekh Library Rules and Regulations Borrowers Documents Borrowing of books will be regulated as follows: Designation PGDM Students No. of documents entitled 05 Duration 14 days

Students should produce their identity cards at the time of borrowing documents. All students should return the books at the end of the final year and obtain No Due Certificate from the library

Loss of ID cards Loss of ID cards should be reported to the library immediately. Duplicate ID Cards will be issued on payment of Rs.150/- in respect of student members.

Issue and Return of documents Reference books will not be issued on loan. Renewal of books will be permitted if there are no reservations against those books. For renewals, books have to be presented physically to the library. Members before leaving the counter must satisfy themselves as to whether the books which they intend to borrow are in good condition and any damage should be immediately reported to the librarian failing which the member to whom the book is issued will be held responsible. Books that are in special demand may be lent out for such shorter period as may be necessary and books lent out may be recalled at any time, if required. All the student members should wear/produce their identify cards inside the library. All members shall sign in the register at the entrance as a token of their acceptance to adhere to the rules of library. Under any circumstances, personal books, files and other articles (except loose sheets of papers/notebooks) will not be allowed inside the library. Absolute silence shall be observed inside and in the vicinity of the library. Any marking or writing on the pages of the books is strictly prohibited. A member shall be held responsible for any damage done by him / her to the book or other property of the library. Misbehavior in the library will lead to cancellation of membership and will call for strong disciplinary action. On default of return of books on the due dates indicated on the due date slips, an overdue charge of Rs.2.00 (Two rupees) day/book will be collected. Undue delay in the return of books will result in the cancellation of membership. Loss of books, if any, should be reported to the librarian immediately and it should be replaced by another good copy of the latest edition immediately. In case the borrower is unable to replace the lost books, twice the cost of books plus overdue charges, if any, will be levied.

The library rules and regulations shall be modified from time to time and shall be binding on all concerned.
