- Matches underlying needs of customer to available product and services. - Identify customer needs quickly and able to guide and provide relevant information efficiently. GENERAL COUNSEL (Write-in) Key Responsibilites: - Develop, implement and supervise the provision of sound legal opinions/ advice, adherence to contractual governance procedures, practical legal solutions, improvements to business and legal intra-department policies, procedures and processes in order to eliminate or minimise the Companys legal risks. - Assist in contract negotiations and ensure all contracts are properly vetted and contractual issues resolved by the relevant stakeholders to the contract so they do not contain provision which jeopardize the Companys legal position. - Provide sound legal opinions, expert advice and pragmatic business solution for the Company to resolve legal difficulties encountered in implementing business transaction and operations. - To raise legal awareness within the Company by conducting training/briefing sessions at MAA and as requested by business as part of GLPs MH Legal Education and Awareness Programme. - Close-monitor and supervision of the development of all litigation cases so defense strategies can be formulated for case advancement including settlement proposals. - Keep abreast of developments in laws and regulations which impact the Company and provide timely advice to relevant stakeholders of the coming into force of such laws and regulations. - Impose compliance to internal documentation procedures so there are proper storage for important documents. - Assist Finance Division to ensure legal documents contain sufficient provisions on payment terms. - Planning and executing initiatives for improvements in administrative areas. - Ensure that legal policies and procedures in laws and regulations including contractual governance procedures and processes are adhered to by the business. Requirements: - Malaysian citizen. - Degree in Law or Professional qualification equivalent to the Certificate of Legal Practice, the English BAR from recognized higher institutions. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a legal environment either in practice or corporate sector. - Postgraduate qualification in a legal-related field is an advantage. - Experience from a public listed company is an advantage and exposure to managerial and administrative work desirable.

- Strong proficiency in legal technical skills particularly in the areas of aviation law, corporate/contract law and finance. - Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and effective communicator. - Proactive and creative in decision making and problem solving. - Ability to lead and work in a team. - Willingness to learn and adapt to rapidly changing environment, both in the domestic and international arena.
