Student-Friendly Standards I can successfully give a presentation on what I have learned throughout my class geography unit.

E. Procedure: 1. The teacher will give a quick review of everything we have done as a class over the past seven days. 2. The teacher will explain that the students will be giving a short presentation to their families about what they learned throughout the unit. 3. The teacher will go over the rules of the presentations. (Students can make it a gallery walk or show random pieces or work that they worked on throughout the week in no particular order.)

4. Students will be allowed to work together to do a joint presentation to friends and family if they wish. 5. CLOSURE: Students will report back to the teacher what they shared with their friends/family. F. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding? The students presentation will measure the students complete understanding from the unit. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. The teacher will be walking around as the students are giving their presentations to check if the concepts are being discussed to their friends/family. Students will only be checked if their knowledge is being passed along to their listeners.

Reflection: 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? I think this whole lesson will be easy to teach because it is simply a compilation of everything the students have learned throughout the whole unit. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? I dont think there will be a challenging part to this lesson. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? I could have students work on a poster board for their presentation to compliment their speeches. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? I would be available for students the days before the open house to provide coaching on giving speeches and how to present their states. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I would maybe provide a rubric of what is expected for their presentations and provide/review the rubric to the students.

6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? There was not really a difficult part for this lesson plan. I think this was a great way for students to wrap up their units.
