ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN LITTER DETECTIVES

1. What is littering? LITTERING is a verb which means to put or throw away litter in improper place which may be disgusting to a viewers eye. We have observed that the litters are found in areas that there are more students like Plaridel Hall and Rizal Hall.

2. Which location yielded the most litter and why? The location yielded the most litter is Plaridel Hall where we found litters like plastic bottles, tetra packs, plastic bags, wrappers and many more. Not only the garbage can there is overflowing but also the litters are found in the table.

3. Can any of the littered items be recycled or used in some other way? YES. There are many ways that those items can be recycled. By recycling and reusing the littered items, it can reduce the waste and garbage that can ruin the school image. 4. By examining the types of litter, can it be determined what age group may be most responsible for the problem? We think that the college students that loiters and stay at the lounge of Plaridel Hall are more responsible in the litter in that area because they are the ones that reside there in Plaridel Hall. 5. How litter is managed in the school? The school have separate garbage bins for each biodegradable and non-biodegradable which are located in some corners of the school.

6. How can be the amount of littering be reduced?

By setting measures to penalize the culprits of throwing garbage at the wrong place, we think it can reduced somehow the littering in the school. By setting of fines also it can frighten the minds of the bad people who litter everywhere.

7. By your presence as student little picker, do you think that you can contribute to intensify anti littering rules that makes the campus clean and orderly? In what way youo are going to do. Yes it can contribute, by giving inspiration that even a simple picking of the small litters, it can contribute to intensify anti-littering rules. As a student picker i can enforce others to follow me and say that even small steps can lead to a big way
