Roles and responsibility SQA

SQA Project facilitation and periodically verifying the project plans and standards to ensure relevance Conduct final inspection as per the procedure for and final inspection and delivery of the software deliverables prior to their delivery to the customer Audit once in a month after implementation and creation of Audit plan Analysis of Audit findings SQA facilitates projects in populating software work products and other process assets into the SPDB. QA facilitates projects in populating work products and other process assets into the OPAL.

SEPG

At the organization level: Facilitate and coordinate process definition Baselining of processes (applying configuration management on the processes). Conducting of internal training on the processes Preparation and maintaining of organization level QA plan Handling change requests related to the processes Carrying out process pilots Approving process tailoring Carrying out process improvements Conducting of periodic management review meetings (to monitor progress on SEPG activities, audit findings etc) Coordination and conducting of Periodic assessment of the processes in the form of gap analysis, process status reviews, internal audits, CMMI Assessment. Metrics Identification and Definition Computation and Analysis of Metrics data at the organization level for all the metrics including Number of NCs in Internal Audits etc.

At the project level: Coordinating process audits by the way of Internal Audits (according to organization QA plan). Discussing the findings of the audits with project groups. Verification of corrective/ preventive actions to close the findings of an Internal Audit. Facilitation on collection and Analysis of data at the project level.

Process Champion

To Create Process and take ownership of process Implementation Responsible for generating metrics to track the process improvement process. Perform Peer review of Processes. Evolves the idea, approach, and results of Process Improvement Propose, plan, coordinate and execute well-defined activities and tasks that contribute to the effective implementation of the company's process improvement program. - Offer solutions to problems and provide input. - Contribute to sharing of processes and products across the organization.

To train people performing and supporting the process need Establish and maintain the integrity of the process support artifacts (tools, documentation, templates) and deliverables (documents, reports, checklists, etc.). To identify and define metrics, together with any related assumptions that to be made. To train people on Metrics. Fixing the periodicity of providing data Evaluating and deploying appropriate tools for gathering data Perform Metrics Analysis to track organizational capability To define Measurement objectives and specifications To establish Data collection and storage strategy. From the metrics analysis and publishing of the Metrics Baseline Reports. Reviewing and providing feedback to the SEPG. Facilitation in collection and Analysis of data at the project

Metrics Councilor

Configuration Manager

To manage and version control the source code and project documents. To provide check-in/check-out of source/binaries/text files, and to build/re-build the checked-in sources. The Configuration Manager along with the Software Development leader identifies the changes that go into a release. Baseline the releases appropriately and generate release documents. Provide sufficient labeling and maintain version control log. To incorporate the CM change control process efficiently into the project. Identifying environmental requirements developer work areas, configuration management repository for configurable items and associated configuration management records, separate environments for SQA, pre-release and production. Periodically review the change requests, priorities the requests and assign them for completion to the software engineering team.
